Customer Beware
After having purchased and used several products, with success, exactly a year ago I bought a #1 O2 sensor for my car. I called to discuss the part I needed, to insure I got the right one, and placed my order, using a credit card. The part arrived and I installed it. Over the course of the next few months, I periodically got a check engine light, for that #1 O2 sensor. It didn't happen often, I have a means of clearing the error code, and my car ran well enough, so I thought nothing of it. That all changed recently when my car suddenly refused to hold a set speed, would not accelerate properly, misfired, sucked gas, the transmission shifted in and out of gears erratically, and the transmission jumped into overdrive, for no reason. I thought my car was tearing itself apart! I made it to my mechanic, who said he thought the throttle position switch (TPS) had failed. He couldn't get to it right away and suggested I get the part and give it a go. Since my car has 200k with the original throttle assembly, I ordered a remanufactured unit, with the controls that mount to it. This was $200. I installed this part and the car ran well that day. Over the course of the next few days, it either ran well or hardly got out of its own way. My daughter needed the car to attend college, so I had to get it fixed. Brought it back to my mechanic and told him to just FIX IT. He ran diagnostics and everything pointed to that #1 O2 sensor. He purchased a new one from and installed it. PROBLEMS SOLVED! My mechanic billed $100 labor and $207 for the new O2 sensor. Normally, I would have contacted 1A Auto, told them my O2 sensor was defective, and requested a replacement. BUT, we weren't SURE that ALL the different problems I was experiencing were caused by a single, defective O2 sensor, until my mechanic installed a NEW one. Also, literally, my car was tearing itself apart and my daughter has been allowed to take her college classes, on line, thanks to COVID19. But, her professors WANT HER BUTT BACK ON CAMPUS! I did not have the luxury of going the usual, slow route. With the vehicle fixed, I contacted 1A Auto, explained what happened, and requested that 1A Auto take the defective O2 sensor back, and refund my $67.55 original purchase cost. NO. According to their "customer service", there is a NINETY DAY window for returning an item for a refund. AND, if the item's package has been OPENED, it is assumed the item has been INSTALLED, and it is NOT subject to a REFUND. Of course, THIS was NOT in the paperwork that accompanied my order when I received it. THIS also was NOT explained to me, when I placed my order by telephone. "Customer service" tells me that those juicy little details can be found on the company website. What IS on the invoice that accompanied my order is the following: "For a no-hassle return visit; http//www.1aauto. Com/returns/". I contacted 1A Auto, for a "no-hassle return" and refund, on a part, which they say was subjected to rigid quality control tests, but which lasted only ONE YEAR and which, when it failed catastrophically, caused me to incur over $500 in repair costs! Yet 1A Auto REFUSES to issue a simple $67.55 refund, after I shelled out in excess of $500, in trying to resolve problems caused by one of ITS PARTS, which failed prematurely, with catastrophic results. 1A Auto LOST my business for good. While I will not urge others not to do business with these people, I will urge that you ASK QUESTIONS, READ ALL of the FINE PRINT THOROUGHLY, KNOW FULLY what you are getting yourself into, when you spend your money with these people. They pretend to "do business the old fashion way, when a man's handshake meant something". I learned otherwise.

Terrible customer service and shipping. Would not recommend.
Terrible customer service. Product arrived several weeks late. Blamed shipping on shipping company that 1A Auto engaged. Were unwilling to ship to new location without charging again for shipping. Then when I realized the part was poorly configured and wanted ti return told me I was over 60 day return window so wouldn't even do an exchange or provide a store credit. Instead tried to sell me new part and asked me to eat the cost of the old one. Would never recommend. Totally unhelpful.

Really disappointed with this company
I purchased a set of headlights for my 07 Tacoma, nice looking headlights and came with bulbs. Reached out to the company twice because 3-4 months after purchase I got extreme condensation inside in both, to the point where it's effecting the light produced at night. Haven't heard back from 1aauto, and wrote a review on their site for the part which never went through or was deleted, and now there is no option to write another one. Very disappointed seeing how the headlights I got weren't cheap, and the did not last long at all..

Horrible
I've been waiting WELL over a month for 1 part that I was told would be here after December 11th, I ordered it November 10th, 1A Auto didn't notify me they didn't have the part and about 2 weeks after I ordered it I called and they said they don't get a shipment till December bc they're out, ok fine, come December I get an email it won't be till December 11th and ok that's fine. It's almost Christmas and I still don't have the part! I spend $78 on that stupid thing! Shop anywhere else but here please!

Bad part
I bought some Shocks for my car on the 9 month of 2020. Now is December took my car back to my mechanic he said the shocks was is not good called 1a 1A Auto sent me another one now the shock is still no good call them back to get my money back they tell me I have to wait till Monday and today is Friday and I have to go to work so I paid twice for a part that's not good will miss work because of them do not order any parts from them my review is a zero I have to put 1 on the review because They don't have zero

Great prices, bad Customer Service
I ordered a suspension kit for my Ford F 150. It appears I ordered the wrong kit as my truck was made before 11/2004. Also had an issue with the ball joints as 1A Auto would not press into the A arm. One of the ball joint was damaged. I had to go and buy my A arms locally to finish the job. Called this morning to get a refund and they offered my pennies on the dollar for these parts. Based on percentages, I should have received a $66 refund and they only credited $29. Talked to a CS rep and a supervisor and they were not accommodating in any way. Very disappointed with their lack of concern of a unhappy customer. Most likely will never order from this company again!

Guaranteed Fit - Half a Refund?
Ordered brakes per their online tool and the tool provided erroneous info. I have rear drums, not disks, and so half my kit doesn't fit. Their solution is to return half the money, and don't care what I do with the parts...

That is not acceptable. I can't buy rear brakes for $47. I COULD buy them with the $103 I started out with, though. AND WHAT THE HELL DO I WANT WITH BRAKES THAT DONT FIT? 1A Auto recommended I take them to a local vacational school. Okay.:. I would, but am I supposed to WALK them up there, or make that trip with my foot hanging out the door to slow myself down?

No quality control
I was very descriptive with my review on 1A Auto's website of their headlamps & parking lamps quality but 1A Auto removed my comments. I wasn't derogatory, but I did say crap, which they are. They say their headlamps mirror OEM lamps. Not even close. The mounting pin didn't line up on either headlamp and the parking lamp's hole for the marker light sockets were deformed. After some modifications I finally got to turn on the lights. Passenger side ok. Driver's side appears to have shadows when casting lights on a wall. My original lamps went 16 years! Doubt these will make it 16 months if that. Buy if you want and see for yourself.

Poor customer service
Horrible customer service... your sales representative was well aware I had factory mirrors the first time when I spoke with them prior to ordering; as well as sent me an additional link to purchase another mirror glass following this for my factory mirror when the first one knowing and documented in your system, your notes, that did not fit because I did not have your mirror mount. You are willing to lose a customer over this poor customer service? Additionally how long do I have to stay on hold "estimated wait time is less than 5 minutes". I will never use your products or support your company again and will be sure to tell everyone I know about your poor customer service as well as happily providing an accurate reviews of this due to misleading support. It is a shame you are more then willing to up-sell me another mirror knowing I have factory mirrors and 1A Auto will not work; but will push more stuff that wont fit properly. All I want is for A1 to pay the return shipping and I walk away and you are not willing.

Never again,

Worst service I can, or cannot expect. TERRIBLE!
I ordered a set of tow mirrors for my 2016 Silverado. The first set had all the bells and whistles. My bad, I can not upgrade to options. Second set, determined by * in a chat, did not have the ambient air sensor circuit in it, although I was promised it did. Now two times of removing and installation. Last chat, as it takes 40 minutes on hold, was that was the wrong set. RMA sent to me. 10 seconds after being told 1A Auto did not have the product I needed, they cut the "Chat" due to lack of communication on my end. Seconds after they admitted screwing up the order. I am $750.00 deep on a card, out $89.00 on RMA costs, and have nothing to show for my effort, other than the doors are going to make noise now that everything is loose. What a crap company. This sucks.

They will lose your package and pretend it's still in transit.
I ordered a part for my car, before I ordered the delivery time said 3-5 days, I chose this site over other sites with cheaper prices because it said it would get to me sooner and I needed to fix my car ASAP. After I paid for the product the estimated time went from 3-5 days to 7-10 days. After waiting 10 business days I noticed that my package hadn't moved in 4 days so I emailed the 1a auto support team asking them if 1A Auto could check up on the status of the package. They ignored my request and sent me the tracking number again and told me to track it. I emailed them back again telling them I already had the tracking number and that wasn't the issue. They proceeded to email me the same thing again saying I could track it here. This happens another time and finally I've hard enough, it's been 7 days since I was supposed to receive my part and it hasn't moved for 11 days now I tell them that if I don't get info on my part I'm going to do a chargeback on the purchase. Now I finally get a legitimate response and they tell me my package is lost and they can send me another one that will arrive in another 7-10 days. Yeah right. So I asked them if they would expedite or at the very least discount the part I paid for and never received. They denied and decided to refund my card and be done with it. I would never trust this business again. Not only do they seemingly take no responsibility for your purchases but they also don't care to make things right when they've clearly made a mistake. If you value your time and money stay away from this shady, low effort business',

If I can do it... anybody can.
I am 63 years old... i have never done anything on my cars except fill the gas tank. I lost my job two months ago and money is now tight. I decided I didn't want to pay the 200+ estimate from the mechanic to change out my interior door handle (Hyundai Accent - 2007).

I went on line to Youtube. While I have used Youtube before for my washing machine and dryer, I have never done anything on a car before. I found the part on line. It was with 1A Automotive. The part arrived about two hours ago and I went to their video library. While 1A Auto didn't have one for the Accent interior door handle, they did for an Elantra... that car was fancier than mine, but essentially the same. I watched twice and went to my car... I followed the steps... (door handle was the hardest part). I had the whole thing done in about 35 minutes... for about 15 dollars rather than over $200.

I jokingly told my wife that this car stuff is easy and I would take the top off her engine and fix the knock. She just stared at me and said touch my car and die... I am not sure if she realized I was joking.

Wrong parts left me stranded
I had ordered a ball joint and bushing kit for my truck, along with front rotors/ hubs, when the hubs arrived there wasn't much of a box left to be had both rotors were sticking out of the box and scratched and dented up on the face of the hub portion. Next issue is the hub came with the abs toothed gear on it and mine is non abs so because of the gear it no longer fit the gear had to be heated and pulled or cut off to make work. The website never said anything about an abs ring gear. And then never once recommended to buy an oil seal for the hub, it should come with it since you can't replace the hub/rotors without it. I had to go find and buy local to complete that portion of the job. Now on to the ball joint and bushing kit. When you order it 1A Auto ask you 7200 or 8600 gvwr, and I chose 8600 because that's what mine is (8 lug) after grinding and cutting off the old ones ( factory riveted on) I found they sent the upper ball joins for the 7200. ( different bolt pattern) after searching high and low locally I located 2 uppers for the 8600 gvwr and they fit perfectly. After calling and giving my complaints I was issued a refund of 20 bucks For the ball joints that don't fit. I couldn't leave my truck in pieces for days waiting for the correct ones to be shipped so I was stuck, so between the cost of the correct ball joints and fuel and my time. $20 doesn't seem to be worth of the situation.

REFUND REFUSAL
Very unhappy with treatment by 1A Auto of Nashua, NH. Purchased a replacement valve cover assembly for a customer's 2007 BMW 328I. After the unit was installed on vehicle, vehicle returned two days later running poorly with a service engine soon light illuminated on dashboard. Upon diagnostic testing, we found new unit supplied by 1A Auto was leaking vacuum pressure and oil due to improper manufacturing. We then purchased new unit from BMW dealer to properly fix vehicle. Demanded refund from 1A Auto which was denied because "the part was installed on vehicle". How the heck did i know the part would not work as promised without installing it on vehicle? 1A Auto then stated 1A Auto only would offer a "replacement unit" and not a refund... so they want us to wait a few days for a replacement unit keeping a vehicle out of service, spend hours installing it and then hope the second unit would then work properly. Not happy with this type of customer service.

Found better prices for front suspension on another site
Their selection is good; I needed a full front suspension kit for my 99 Honda and 1A Auto had it. But, the prices are not the best. I found another place, Detroit Axle that sold the same things/brand parts for less. I asked whether they would price match anyone, and they refused, so I went and got my full suspension kit at Detroit Axle instead. I think that they'll be more competitive if they keep the prices more competitive. Talking about same kind of brand parts; Moog, etc., not an sort of knockoff no-name brand.

Best for this "Poorass College Student"; Fast Shipping & No Issues.
I ordered a pair of "1998 BMW 528i Rear Power Window Regulator With Motor" for a steal of $98. I went to several car part shops and even the junkyards, and all charged over $150 simply for a single Window Regulator WITHOUT a motor. I am a poorass college student, so I wasn't going to pay that much for a USED piece. That's how I came upon 1A Auto's offer of BRAND NEW window regulators WITH motors for $98. 1A Auto saved me $$$, so I am extremely happy with this auto part store.
Also, I am from Southern California and it took 3-business days to arrive at my home (Ordered late on Mon.; Shipped Tues.; arrived at 3 PM on Fri.).
---
P. S- I hesitated to order from 1A Auto at first simply due to the reviews. However, after doing my own research, 1A Auto definitely checks out. Plus, people are primarily complaining about the shipping time when all they had to do is READ THEIR SHIPPING ESTIMATE MAP/POLICIES.

Didn't arrive per their shopping estimate
I ordered a part from them, based on THEIR shipping estimate. I needed it no later than the weekend, as the person completing the repair would be out of town for 2 weeks. I decided to order it based on the fact their shipping estimate stated that delivery would be by the weekend.
Once the day of delivery came, I rechecked tracking to see if there was a specific time range. Delivery had now changed to Monday. I e-mailed the company, advising them if my displeasure. 1A Auto advised me that shipping is 3-5 business days. I responded, letting them know that Friday was 5 days. Not Monday. They responded stating that the package didn't go out until end of day Monday, so Friday would be 3 business days.
Except I have an email from Sunday at 4:55 pm that my item shipped (the order was placed at 9:23 am Sunday) So which is it? Did my item ship at 4:55 pm Sunday or end of day Monday? And if it was ready to ship 4:55 Sunday, why didn't it go out first thing Monday, instead of end of day Monday, causing a full day's delay, that made all the difference?
The money you may save on their parts aren't worth the added inconvenience or BS their unhelpful customer service reps feed you.
Buy local. Or try a different company. I won't buy from them again and I'm still considering sending the parts back, I'm so upset.
Don't provide a shipping estimate UNTIL the part is ACTUALLY out thr door if you're going to allow it to sit at your facility a full day.

Not Honest About Partial Refunds on eBay. Never Gave One. Stopped Replying to Emails
This was my first purchase from this company. I bought a Firebird exhaust manifold install kit from them on eBay (screen name www.1aautomotive.com) back in December. It arrived missing the mounting bolts. It was their last one, and 1A Auto couldn't provide a replacement or the missing parts. Philip W. From 1A Auto agreed that if I kept this item (instead of returning it to them), they would process a $20 partial refund since I would have to buy the bolts myself that were missing. I agreed to this. They never processed the refund despite reassurances they were going to. They responded right away to my emails initially and were overly nice, but they have since stopped responding to my emails about where this refund is. (My last email was 2 days ago.) Of course, this is a stall tactic because now that over 45? Days have passed since purchase, I can no longer seek a remedy through eBay. Fortunately for me, they only took me for $20. Don't be fooled by their initially good customer service. It's all talk.

CUSTOMER SERVICE DELAYED
Have to revise my negative review but only just a bit. It took a while with multiple emailing and eventually an email to the ceo. Finally got them to refund my purchase but it wasn't easy. The problem I have with them now is that 1A Auto actually went in and deleted my account so that I can't give their products any kind of reviews. Thats that way they want to be I guess. Guess they don't want me as a customer either! Must be nice to be filthy rich. From now on I'll support my local parts store and not have to worry about my purchases here.

Nightmare to deal with
First of all I only received 2 out of 3 boxes (brake kit) and it was a nightmare dealing with them to get the last one resent. The 2 boxes I did received were completely destroyed and were missing the part numbers. I took it all to a mechanic only to be told the parts were the wrong size. Now (even though their site says "guaranteed to fit") 1A Auto want me to pay shipping for 100+ pounds of parts to send it back for a refund. They are claiming the ad says it is for the V10 version of my car but the ad does not say that and it says it was supposed to fit! (see pic) Do not order from these scammers!
