They are scammers (My Loan Officer was Adil Ashraf)
I was contacted by AmeriSave (Loan Officer - Adil Ashraf) and given some estimates of costs associated for refinancing my primary residence which was mortgage. He was very pushy and he asked for my card number to put on file so he could continue with the process; immediately after he got card my card information, he charged my card a $450. Immediately, I called him to cancel the whole thing, he did not answered the phone. When he did not answer my calls; I emailed him to cancel the process, he did not reply to my email either. So, just like that AmeriSave took a $450 from me (I wish there was an option to give a ZERO rating)... they are very dishonest and misleading, stay away from AmeriSave.

What a scam! They tell you that they lock the interest rate -Be Careful they are lying
We started Our Loan search in January 2021. We were offered the loan rates as lowest 2.5 %. We were working with Brandon Alexander from AmeriSave. You would think that this company is a big company that you can trust. BE CAREFULLLLL. First AmeriSave said that they locked the interest rate all we have to do is send some documents showing our income. After two months sending them information that has nothing to do with our income -like asking for our business invoices?
We get W2 - we get paychecks? So this should be enough.
Then the whole game begins with their lies- After two months they tell you that the interest rate went up and you have to pay the difference buying interest rate.
I asked to speak with a manager -It took him two weeks to finally call me back and he said sorry we do not lock your loan until to sign the papers Closing Disclosure. I asked for concession and he said I will try. Let me see what I can do. Just so you know his name is Matt Schneid. Then you never hear back from him only Brandon your loan officer who is sending you email - Here is your $4395 concession but was never on our Loan Disclosure- Yesterday 03-25-21 was our Closing Disclosure and guess what they didn't include the concession in my loan.
Then Brandon sent me email saying that sorry but it went up again $4000
So I tried calling Brandon and Matt all day. No answer?
I emailed them what is going on and their response is We raised the loan amount not to have require at closing. That took over 60% LTV and cause the cost to rise.
Ok so my loan was $391.750 including all closing cost and you guys raised to $395.400? Because the rates changed again?

Please everyone learn from our experience. Do not trust their word and if you think because they sent you email with fully approval loan - Think twice and read your Closing Disclosure.
The loan officer who came to our house asked us please check the numbers -Because she knows what this company does AmeriSave.
We will pass to all our friends and costumers about our experience.
We will pass - We lost a great interest rate opportunity.
Sad but I will learn from Our mistake. Please learn from mine

Terrible service
I applied for a loan and was treated well. But that's where the good service ended. AmeriSave had put the wrong city in the application so the appraisal service did not cover my area. I got that straightened out and go a call from the appraiser in my town. She made an appointment with her having to take time off to meet her because her daughter was having a school program on the day I had free. That's the last time I heard from her! No return phone calls. Then I noticed that they canceled by loan, I guess because it was taking so long. I contacted them and Atif ** Loan Originator NMLS ID #** told me that they had tried to contact me. Funny I had no email messages or phone messages from them. I think that he's trying to cover his butt for screwing this up. At any rate I have now lost the $400.50 dollars I paid them for no assessment plus the few point hit on my credit. Don't waste your time with them.

This company shows tables for all types of financing
This company shows tables for all types of financing. When you select the interest rate you would kike it shows you the cost, problem is the shown cost is for the ideal credit score and financial picture. You don't find this out until you have paid 35.00 for a check on your credit score, after paying and finding out that the closing cost had becme five times higher than first quoted i felt taken advantage of, there should have been a notice making customers aware of the fact that their costs, in most cases, will be higher than their tables showed.it compares to the old bait and switch tactic. Stay away from this lender. What AmeriSave are doing may not be illeagel bot it is shady at best

Run!
This company is terrible. Started application process when rates were well under 3%. Promised good rates and got strung along for two months. Rates are well above 3% now. Still after practically begging for them to lock my rate AmeriSave never did even though most companies can lock your rate same day of application. I wouldn't hear from loan officer for weeks. I would call her and there was always an excuse. Always a family emergency. I wish I saw the 100 plus bad reviews before I committed to using them. Don't make the same mistake I did. Run! The lame automated response to this review is indicative of their customer service.

Sounds like Amerisave is imploding
Like many of the reviews on here, we are trying to refinance mortgage for home we already are in, have money in bank, nearly perfect credit scores, etc. Started the process late August, provided everything AmeriSave asked for, as quickly as we could. Were told we'd close in 2 months, mid to late October. Then they started making excuses, asking for more information (same stuff we'd already given), then we had to call them, now it's devolved to us chasing them, and last week we couldn't get in touch with anyone. Called and texted our loan originator 10 times on the cell number she provided, no answer. Called her this AM on my daughter's cell phone (I know, dirty trick) and she actually answered. Sounds like I woke her up, but she did talk to me for a minute - says she no longer works for Amerisave, can't tell me anything due to "legal reasons". I told her it was kind of crappy to not let her existing customers know she'd left so they'd stop calling, to which she said "I hope you have a great holiday". Well, me too, it certainly would've been better if we'd gotten this refinancing done by now. Now we need to start over it seems. I started a fraud claim against them with our credit card company (Bank of America) for the $500 loan origination fee, hopefully we can get our money back.

STAY AWAY!
Our experience seems to be very similar to a majority of the most recent reviews. Started the process on December 3rd and still don't have a close date. AmeriSave kept delaying on information that had already been provided several times. I also caught them in a lie during the process. We have solar panels and needed a subordination from our lender. Amerisave was telling us that the main reason for our delay was waiting for the lender to return the subordination. I decided to call and found out that Amerisave never submitted the subordination and it would take another 25-30 to process once submitted. This is just the tip of the iceberg regarding there processing. I have done several refi's in the past and I've also worked in the mortgage industry so I know a little about the process. I know they have great ratings but it seems that lately they seem to be spiraling downward in their customer service. So just a heads up I would look at another lender and STAY AWAY FROM AMERISAVE!

Totally Dissatisfied
After nearly 3 months, I withdrew my application for a refi. I found the people at Amerisave to be incompetent, liars, and noncommunicative. I have an excellent credit rating, but AmeriSave still ask for information time and again that bordered on stupid. One minute they say I was approved, and than they requested the amount I pay for my homeowners association fee. I sent them a copy of a cancelled check, but this wasn't good enough. I have never been treated so badly by any financial institution in the past, and I am over 80. On a positive note, the Processor, Crystal Lee, did everything she could to expedite things, but she was up against some very incompetent people.

Phantom Loan Officer
I was contacted by AmeriSave (Loan Originator) and given some estimates of costs associated with refinancing my primary residence which was mortgage free. I immediately sent him the documents he requested (personal and corporate tax returns for last 2 years). He said he'd get back to me that evening. When he didn't, I emailed him a day later asking what was up. Said he go caught in a conference, but he was working on my application and would get back to me very shortly. A few days later I emailed him again and asked if I should contact another lender, as he seem disinterested. Again, he'd get back to me. Emailed him again and have never heard back. Now that is some lousy customer service, follow up and professionalism.

Another big company to take advantage of the middle class American
Typical company to promise you one rate and loan up front for you to take a month to go through the process and last minute change your whole disclosure, and ignore the screen shot of the disclosure you send them, of what you wanted and what AmeriSave promised. To them ignoring you, to eventually canceling because you wouldn't sign what they were essentially forcing you to sign, a disclosure you weren't promised in the first place. This like most company's they treat you like a number. Would not recommend especially for Veterans, because if you are the one like myself that they try to take advantage of then you will have wasted time and money. I only wanted a fair shake and this company only wanted to take advantage.

AmeriSave has forgotten what the word "communication" means.
This is the most disconnected company I've dealt with. I have financed, bought and sold over 10 homes in the last 4 years and this is the biggest bunch of b. S. I've ever dealt with. AmeriSave have asked me for the same information 3 times... I've uploaded the information as well as emailed it to them, they confirm receiving it and still ask for it again. Not a good way to do business. Initially I was told it would take 4 to 6 weeks to close on my refinance. It has been over 10 weeks and they just changed my loan originator and are asking for the same info again. My credit score is in the high 700's and my income is close to 50k per year. This company is not one to deal with. I don't know who they paid to leave good reviews, but it must be employees doing it.

I wish i read these reviews first. STAY AWAY!
I started my refinance process with Amerisave in early July. I started with Amerisave after talking to one of their representatives and foolishly believing in his promises of prompt responses, closing this in August and getting a floating interest rate in case the interest rates go down before closing. I also paid $500 upfront as per their rules. Its 4 months since then and there is no sign of a closing date yet. I'm stuck with the $500 that i already paid. Also the interest rates have fluctuated and gone down since then and no word about reducing the interest rate even ater me asking them several times. I just wanted to move on if AmeriSave refund my amount, but they Never Ever entertained any conversations about my refund and let me go even after me asking them so many times. Also they kept requesting my current lender about loan information which costed my $30 everytime they did. I think so far i got charged extra for about $100. They wasted my TIME, MONEY AND STILL TESTING MY PATIENCE. They always answer the question they want to and not the questions that we ask. This is absolutely unacceptable and i need my refund and get the hell out of this mess. Its sad that i cannot and now I'm really not sure if they will ever close this and honor the credit and interest rate they initially agreed to.

Educate you, Hold your hand thru process if needed, & Give you confidence.
AmeriSave's Tim Apenbrink has been GREAT! He has been patient with me and enjoyable to work with. He has shown a real understanding of the refinancing process and explaining the interest rates, APR, etc in easy way for me to understand. He has been readily available every time I've emailed him or called him with questions. He has willingly helped walk me thru the process on the computer each time. I had such confidence in him. He made me feel like I was in good hands and I could be at peace. This has been especially important since I have not been well and have been struggling with severe anxiety. I felt well taken care of thus far. Thanks Tim!

Horrible company!
Getting ahold of anyone at this company can take dozens of calls and emails. Their customer support line just hangs up on you. I've been trying to make my first payment and been on the phone for over 4 hours now! AmeriSave just hang up on you.

I've sent many emails and made many phone calls. You get no help from them and there is a penalty for making a late payment.

Also, they tacked on an extra $500 onto the mortgage contract without ever telling me. They gave me the numbers before hand and it didnt have that. They even gave me a pdf of the loan before hand to read, and it didnt have that. Then they didnt answer the phone during the signing. I should have walked away right then.

Horrible, rat of a company.

It's all in the Closing Costs
I was very impressed with my loan officer as I began the loan process. He was easy to talk to and easy to get in touch with. One of the reasons that I chose Amerisave was the saving that I thought I was getting on the closing Costs. On 10/18 I was given the estimated closing costs of $3559. 00 which included a 1.97% Point cost of $1970. 00, after comparing to the other lending companies I decided that Amerisave was the best. Deal. On 10/22 I called the Loan Officer to discuss the closing costs and what other lenders were telling me and Made sure that what I was told on the 18th was accurate. All was confirmed and I was assured that the closting costs were indeed accurate. After the confirmation, I was no longer able to make contact with the loan officer. The processor person was wonderful and went out of her way to help me. The loan took about 60 days because even though I have excellent credit and assets WAY ABOVE the $100,000.00 I was asking for, the underwriting department kept asking for more and more information. When it was all said an done, I sent them 51 pages of information, it was a nightmare. On 12/20 AmeriSave sent me the FINAL closing cost details which was $1,068.53 more than the 10/18 closing estimate. They were showing the points charge as 2.25 or $2251. 00 and they were erroneously charging me Property Taxes of $527.60. The processor told me she was not able to make any changes to the points they would have to go through the Loan Officer. I was not able to get in touch with him, so I called his manager who said he would look into the problems. Wonder of Wonders the loan officer did call me on 12/24 to say the points went up between 10/18 and 10/22 but I told him we had discussed the closing costs in great detail on the 22nd and he assured me they were accurate. He assured me that he would talk to his manager to see what could be done. My closing was scheduled for 12/26@8:00AM. Well, to no surprise I never heard from the loan officer again. As for the closing costs, the points remained at 2.25( instead of 1.97 like I was quoted) the property taxes were removed (that was the only good thing that happened), some how between the 12/20 FINAL Closing Costs and this 12/24 FINAL Closing Costs - they mysteriously came up with an additional $40.00 charge for deed Prep Fee, they increased the Recording Fees from 56.00 to 79.00. I'm sure they knew that I was just fed up with this whole ordeal and would just said OK, I surrender - You got me good. In Conclusion - be very ware of dealing with these people. Make sure you get everything in writing moment to moment. If they give you an estimate and you wait 30 minutes to make a decision make sure you get something new in writing showing the date and time of the commitment or just deal with someone else. As for me, I will never deal with this firm again. I really feel like they are very un-trustworthy.

BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM
I really wish that there was more truth online. If I had only seen these reviews instead of the "paid and faulty reviews". That Amerisave controls and wants you to see. This company is a complete scam. AmeriSave also own the Appraisal company NOVO. BUYER BEWARE. They will have their own appraisal company do the report, claim that it will be done by a third party unaffiliated appraisal company. THIS IS A LIE.
Then they will try to jack up your rate, closing costs etc. It doesn't matter if you have excellent credit, a great job, whatever! They will try and SCAM you! We lost over $1,000 just trying to apply and then pulled out when we realized how terrible this company was. WALK THE OTHER WAY PLEASE.

Deceptive and dishonest
AmeriSave Mortgage is a deceptive company. Friday my wife and I received information from AmeriSave titled "Notice to Home Loan Applicant." The documentation showed our credit scores from the 3 credit reporting agencies. The problem was that we had never heard of AmeriSave and did NOT apply for a Home Loan through AmeriSave (or any one else).
On Monday I called the number on the documentation and reached "Brett" (if that was his real name). He told me he was licensed in AZ. When I explained that we had never applied for a Home Loan and that I was concerned that someone had misappropriated our social security numbers, he kept saying "Well, this is like a menu. No one stole your social security number. This was only a soft pull." He explained that he did not have my social security number. When I asked how was he able to pull our credit scores if he didn't have our social security numbers, he hung up.
Again, we never applied to AmeriSave for a home loan and we certainly did not authorize Brett to use our social security numbers to pull a credit report, soft or otherwise.
BEWARE of this company. AmeriSave are pulling "soft" credit reports without permission apparently as part of a marketing scheme.

Dishonest and devious! - Pulled hard credit inquiry without permission and refused to remove
6-24-21: I checked my credit score and it dropped dramatically due to a hard credit pull from Amerisave on 6-23-21.

I had cancelled a loan refi with Amerisave in May 2021 due to too many issues with getting the loan closed.

On June 22, an Amerisave rep, Jack Sullivan called me, I told him I was not interested due to my previous bad experience with his company.

On June 23, Amerisave pulled a hard inquiry on my and my fiance's credit without permission using our personal information AmeriSave had on file from the cancelled application.

When I contacted Jack Sullivan, he lied and said I gave him permission, that he absolutely would not have the inquiry removed, forcing me to file a complaint against Amerisave with the BBB.

Worst refi experience ever: insane delays, chaotic communication, refuse to respond to concerns
My refi was in process for about 5 months. I responded virtually immediately to every document request, have great credit, there were no property issues or any other problem. The loan was approved to close after 4 months, but then put back into delay because AmeriSave found more documents that had "expired" because of their prior delays. No status is provided, there's no response to questions, and it is almost impossible to talk to anyone because (a) they have a broken phone system and (b) calls just go to voicemail. The applicant is basically treated like dirt as they plod along in some chaotic world. Two stars instead of one because the closing was done nicely: electronic signatures on most documents and they sent a local notary over to get final signatures (took less than an hour).

Do not use
Patrick Markert - CEO / Owner
Today I got an email from my loan processor stating that my loan was declined because of debt to income ratio...? This has never been an issue so very unclear as why underwriters would deny us unless AmeriSave were not provided the appropriate documentation.

Started application on or about Oct. 19th. According to the loan officer this process normally takes 8-12 weeks. Mely response as it related to the on-going delay. Only have seven loan numbers and was told that computer issues were attributed to a delay...

We signed loan disclosures about 8 weeks ago and recently signed our second set of disclosures after unfreezing our credit for the second time because of of your delays,

BOTH time they spelled Diane's name Dianne... they have all our documentation with the name being spelled as Diane.

I cannot begin to express my anger and disgust given the amount of time and energy I expended getting all the documents sent in a timely fashion only to get this recent rejection.

Other loan numbers,,, 11764095, 11778466, 11811834, 11820600, 11820601

Again, I can only think this was a bank error and not researched prior to being declined.

Please refund my $ 500.00 application fee as your company has continually botched this re-re-fi application. I will be seeking other remedies and plan to file a complaint with the Consumer Complaint office and others.
