Had a back door installed last year it took about 4 extra visits to get it to shut properly.
Stupidly I then had a front door fitted. 3 months later it bowed and I had to wait a couple more months for a replacement. During that time I couldn’t use it and had to use the back door so that was a fire risk only having one door working . You can’t get hold of the local depo and customer services can’t get them either. So far lost at least a weeks wage with the amount of visits I’ve waited in for. Still haven’t heard anything back from my complaint and still haven’t got a working front door as the lock won’t work properly and it can take 10 mins to get in or out. This is with the new replacement door. Please save yourselves time, pain and money and don’t touch this company with a barge pole. No one bothers to answer emails either.
Sash window spring broke, the windows were still within the warranty period, however because we didnt swop the warranty to us within 12 weeks of moving in Anglian didnt want to know. I asked for a quote to repair the spring and had a curt reply saying the window was obsolete and the part wasnt available. They kindly offered to supply us new windows though ??? I would have considered going to Anglian windows prior to this. But not now.
Would never ever recommend this company.
We decided to have a conservatory built with 'Anglian Home improvements'. The salesman seemed to know what he was talking about. Don't be fooled.
After the incompetent grounds person arrived and goaned about everything. He then advised us the building would have to be piled. (This is after having 2 surveys done) I then asked 3 separate well known builders if this was necessary as it would add on thousands of pounds and delay by 3 months or longer. They all said it was rubbish.
We contacted head of Suffolk headquarters who told us this had to happen and couldn't give us a date of works. He was so vague. We decided to pull out of the build as had lost complete faith. Being pushed around from department to department. We ended up losing most of our deposit. Thousands of pounds and many tears, and was left with a massive dangerous deep trench at the back of the house which then took more money by a different tradesman to sort.
Very depressing. Please stay away and use a local company with good reviews. These big companies promise the earth and do not deliver. Dreadful.
No email address so no quote, I was told that they will not send a quote via post only email. Sorry Anglian no money from me.
What the company lack in skill they more than make up for with expanding foam and silicon. Reasonably good units installed by absolute amateurs who do the very least they consider they can get away with. Left the installation in an appalling state and still not finished to anything like an acceptable standard despite setting out in writing the many faults and recieving visits and callbacks by customer service and alternative fitter.
Ordered door with extra locking system, 2 years & 4 months ago, STILL WAITING. BAD SERVICE...
Disappointing customer service. During the sale you are promised one thing and after paying for your order it appears there are no records of that and you have to pay for extra keys from your own pocket. Communication with the management doesn't solve the problems.
Utterly appalling! Avoid this company completely.
I placed an order for windows in November 2021, paid the deposit, all seemed fine.
In February 2022, I had a letter saying there may be some technical difficulties with required scaffolding, and my order was being placed on hold.
At the beginning of March 2022 I noticed that my deposit had been returned with no communication whatsoever. No explanation offered.
It took several phone calls to discover that they couldn't do the scaffolding so had cancelled the order.
An email asking for clarification was deleted by their system as "that order was cancelled"
A CEO level complaint has gone utterly ignored.
A month later, I'm STILL trying to get them to take any ownership of this appalling situation. Meantime I am still withut windows.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!
The after sales is rubbish.
Our conservatory is leaking still after 3 weeks and no reply.
Phone calls ignored.
Staffs attitude abysmal.
My advice.
Go somewhere else.
ROBBERS!!!!
Do NOT use them.
We made the mistake of not checking the reviews before ordering. Our whole house needed changing, which meant a very expensive quote of over £15,000. We had to sign the contract on booking with them, which we did and at the same time (remember this is on the day of order) had to pay a deposit of £3000. We then had to wait for the surveyor to come out and assess the property. He turned around and said that we had asbestos in our soffits which would mean that they would have to organise a specialist team to come out and take samples) at our cost) and then if it was the nasty type of asbestos they would organise a team to come out and remove it - again at our own cost. We knew we didn't have asbestos and felt that we were being ripped off for more money, so we cancelled the order the following day. That's when the bullying started. We received phone calls from the area manager who point blank called us liars and then started threatening us with demanding more money if we cancelled. Following that, as he stated, we started receiving threatening letters demanding over £4000 for cancelling outside of the cooling off period. In the contract you have 7 days to cool off. The surveyor didn't turn up for 28 days!! I won't let this matter drop. I'll be damned if I am paying them anything for their awful experience. I will be taking it further on a legal basis but urge you all to think very carefully before going with them. Don't throw your money away!
Took over a year to resolve my complaint as the door was installed poorly with more than 6 faults sent a clip of what to expect
JUST YOUTUBE BBC WATCHDOG ANGLIAN WINDOWS (don't forget to check the comments). Worst service I've received in over 10 years of renting properties. Usually use Safestyle but thought I'd try something new as they don't do security doors, huge mistake. It was a complicated installation, Salesman and surveyor told me everything I wanted to hear and when it came to the installation the installer did a terrible job and just got out of there quickly, the quality of the door was not as described, Supposed to be a composite security door but the frame was cheap PVC which is not secure. I withheld payment because it was poorly installed and wouldn't close properly (which is a huge issue as the house is on a busy main road). They instantly started threatening me with legal action for refusing to pay until its correctly installed, they came back and installed it again. I was still unhappy with the poor workmanship but they told me to activate the warranty I would need to pay, so I did, as they were also harassing me for it via phone calls multiple times a day, whereas the salesman told me I could pay after a month after I'm fully satisfied. Since then no one has come back to adjust the door and I've had to pay someone else to temporarily adjust it just so I can close it but will have to pay to install a new door anyway. I've been hung up on more than once on the phone and blocked by their customer support. This company seems to spend money on marketing to make it seem legitimate but I wish I'd seen the reviews on trustpilot.com and reviews.io rather than the ones manipulated on their website and I wish I'd known that they've been on BBC's watchdog for their awful service, terrible workmanship and poor quality products (be sure to check the video on YouTube). I've been conned for approximately £1,500 and all I can now do is warn others, for your own benefit do not use this joke of a company.
We bought a lovely bungalow in Cornwall and were given various guarantees including Anglian window replacements g.until 2026.We filed the papers and had to contact them some weeks ago about a potential clouding on a window and a broken latch. We found to our horror that we should have rung them and paid for a change of name on the guarantee. On the papers left to us there was no INDICATION of that process and we have never encountered this process before in other homes with other companies. They were not helpful and we would never use them again. Beware!
Anglian are rubbish poor quality products installation by cowboys rubbish after care avoid go to a company that cares.
Dreadful do not use. I had problems with a previous installation after booking my back door and they will not refund me. And have sent a very stroppy letter saying they will be keeping my £500. I am left speechless
Sales woman only interested in the commission as she was struggling for sales due to lockdown. Bad mouthed competition. Decided to ignore this and place order as we had Anglian windows in our last house, which were very good. Waited ages for delivery, order arrived and was wrong. They are obviously manufacturing on the cheap now, patio door seals letting in air, front door side panel, not fitted properly.
Contacted area service manager who sounded like he just didn't care. Will give it another couple of days then contacting trading standards.
It's been close to 6 months since we agreed to getting our facias and guttering done. Paid half upfront and was told 2 weeks later work should be completed in 8-12 weeks time. 28 weeks later we are still waiting and have had all our emails ignored.
We had our garage converted to an extra room and it soon became apparent that there was a fault with the flooring. When we lifted the vinyl we found that the layer of cement over a concrete floor had all broken up. This had been laid because on completion the installer realised that the two floor levels didn't match up. A field engineer from Anglian visited us and agreed that it should not have happened. He reported it and several weeks later we received an abrupt letter (no address, no email address, no phone number) informing us that it wasn't covered under our 10 year guarantee. I disputed this and attempted to contact them numerous times and met with a wall of silence as they ignored my communications. Eventually by writing to the CEO I got a response from someone lower down the order who sent me a blank contract where it still failed to inform me why my particular problem could not be fixed stating that brickwork and plaster only had a year's guarantee - no mention of a cement layer over a concrete floor. For £16,000 I expected a better service rather than being fobbed off by a company who obviously have far greater muscle than I am able to offer. I strongly recommend anyone wishing to convert their garage should look elsewhere.
