I can't even begin to put into words my experience with APL and mother ayahuasca.
The team at APL are amazing. Boris and Sasha have thought of everything possible to assist your journey into the realm of plant medicine. They hold such a open, loving, safe space for you to work through whatever reasons have drawn you to work with the great mother that is mama aya. You are in completely safe hands here. Boris and Sasha have created something so magical and so needed in the West for all those who can't get to the amazon for whatever reason. There needs to be more centres like this in Europe and beyond, but ones like APL, that value the traditions and sacredness of working with this powerful plant.
The shaman Alberto was amazing, he held everyone with so much love and attention, he was always available to talk to, and he speaks English which in itself is a blessing to those who don't speak Spanish. His icaros were strong and beautiful and he selflessly shared them with us, so now we are all listening to them post-retreat to keep the connection to mother aya.
Shout out to Amanda, Krstalyn and Ubi who were working with the core team and who provided such a loving space for us all during integration, one on one chats, yoga, breathwork, singing circles, workshops and sound healing. Just so much love here. And to all the kitchen and cleaning staff too. The food was absolutely sublime.
And finally, to my fellow retreatants, I love you all so very much. We are family for life. If you are missing community, love and connection go to APL to rediscover who you truly are. You won't be disappointed.

From start to finish, the crew ensured that we were comfortable in the accommodation and well informed of the planned activities. I have a deep respect for Shaman Alberto - his icraros were beautifully sung and helped heal the participants along with the ayahuasca. I am really pleased that there were yoga, communication, music, and psychotherapy sessions too. I really felt that this event was the whole package. I want to give my thanks to Boris and Sahsa - they really have a top service here. I would highly recommend, and may even go back, should the need arise.

Sitting in the train home from a week with APL. What happens there could hardly be described with words. Amazing, unbelievable, full of love and joy night fit somehow but are still an understatement.
What these guys, Boris, Shaman Alberto and all the other facilitators do there, is nothing less than lifechanging.

I'd give 10 stars if I could! There truly are no words that can accurately describe how incredible the 8-day retreat was. Everyone from the housekeeping staff to the facilitators were fabulous, there was so much love in the building!
The kindness and compassion that was provided to every single participant was amazing. Boris, Amanda, Sasha, Krystalyn, Ube and especially Shaman Alberto, you are an incredibly attentive and loving team that made this journey what it was, and provided such a safe space for me to do the work.
If anyone is looking for THE best Ayahuasca retreat in the world, this is it. It was the most profound, life-changing week of my life. I can't wait to return to continue the work and to be with all you beautiful souls again.

The 8-day Ayahuasca retreat I did with APL Journeys in March 2022 was one of the most amazing, wonderful and transformative experiences I have ever had.
This was my very first experience with Ayahuasca. For me it was very important to pick a retreat that 1) was hosted by a real curandero (= shaman), 2) respected the plants, the process and the Amazonian traditions and 3) made me feel medically and psychologically safe. APL provides all that and even more.
In their holistic approach, they bring together the potency of the plants, the ancient wisdom of the rainforest, the modern knowledge of fields like psychology or neuroscience and finally, tools and practices for mental wellbeing.
At an APL retreat, you don’t simply drink the Ayahuasca medicine and go home soon after, but you participate in a week-long therapeutic cleansing of your physical, energetic, and spiritual bodies. There is sound baths, yoga, meditation, breathwork, massages.
Not only the APL team, but also the beautiful property in the south of Spain, the surrounding nature, the amazing kitchen crew – they all make this experience unforgettable.
Boris and Sasha, the founders of APL journeys, have spent many years studying plant medicine, doing dietas in the Amazon rainforest and facilitating ceremonies. Together with the curandero, they not only make sure that your experience is as close as possible to the original traditional ceremonies hosted in the rainforest, but also that you learn a lot about the scientific and biological aspects of plant medicine and even get to know different plants from the Amazon.
Everyone at APL Journeys is doing God’s work in one way or another: Alberto, the curandero, is guiding, teaching, chanting, creating and protecting the safest of spaces. Boris and Sasha are facilitating, guiding and teaching. Amanda, the therapist, is helping everyone to understand, integrate and feel safe. Crystalline, the yoga/breathwork/spiritual teacher, and Ubi, the sound healer, help you tune in to the right frequencies before and in between ceremonies. Kristina makes sure you get all the information and answers you need to come to the retreat feeling confident and prepared in the best way possible. Danielle and Angeles nourish you with their delicious food and loving hearts.
Every part of the process, from the medical prescreening, the preparation guidelines, the handling of questions and insecurities, the organization of operations and logistics, to the communication, moderation and guidance (before, during and after the retreat) evokes trust, is well thought out and beyond professional. The whole team is incredibly experienced and extremely professional.
I came to the retreat with the intention of better understanding my purpose in life and the desire to feel more joy. And boy, did the medicine deliver. :D I left the retreat with a clean body, clear heart and mind, a new, wonderful, loving family, feeling lighter by a ton and in love with life herself. While every person’s experience with Ayahuasca is very unique, individual and different, every single participant in our group got exactly what they needed and we were all witnesses to some impressive transformations. For this, I will be forever grateful to APL.
If you’re being called to meet Mama Aya (in Europe) and are ready to trust, respect and surrender, I wholeheartedly and unconditionally recommend APL Journeys.

To me my first experience with ayahuasca couldn't have been better.
The guides were very helpful and welcoming. A nice mix of warmth and professionalism!
Even though my first trip was very challenging I always felt safe and taken care of.
I was impressed by Boris & Amanda's ability to put every experience no matter the "weirdness" of it into context, so that I and the other participants could get as much out of it as possible. I realized that it's my own readiness and ability to surrender that is most important to how I perceive the experience. The APL guys have set up the ideal surroundings and level of trust and professionalism to do just that.
Maybe this sounds like one of those fake reviews, but I wholeheartedly have nothing else than good to say after my experience. You who are reading this will of course have your own experience, but I am already considering going again in proper time and would fully recommend it to anyone who considers doing it.
Food is great, location is as well, all in all a well rounded experience. A perfect mix of Amazonian tradition that the shaman provided with the luxury of Westen comfort and psychological assistance.

Well where to start when writing a review? This was beyond question the most profound & life changing experience for me. It was grueling at times, but beyond that incredibly healing & beautiful is a word that cannot contain what I want to say.
I am so grateful that I chose APL, taking Ayahuasca is a big decision & that should not be underestimated, but you could not be in better hands with the APL team & I have no hesitation in recommending them, more than that, I personally would not do it with anyone else. The team are second to none, kind, compassionate, pragmatic, supportive in every possible way you can imagine & actually they themselves are the best possible advert you could have for Mother Aya. Boris, Amanda, Krystalline, Sasha thank you so much, I owe you such a huge debt of gratitude. Some tips for those contemplating going on this journey, make sure you understand the significance of what you are doing & have a clear intention. Approach with the respect & humility the journey does require & follow the diet!
At times it may be difficult, but you will not regret it!
