Five-year maintenance program because salesman represented it was for ANYTHING, which,
Naturally, we thought was cleaning once in awhile. Four years into the agreement we decided
We'd clean the living room couches. First, we couldn't get a human on the phone for a year and
the website claim application did not have "cleaning" on it, so kept bumping us off. FInally, my
husband got ahold of somebody (I think 'cuz he has a rumbling base voice) and he was told,
"Oh, no, it's Just for spot problems like spilled wine or nail polish" - really? So we found another cleaning company at a cost of $500, so total lost was $900. Does Ashley really think this is good customer service, good customer relations? Has no one in that company heard of repeat customers? Too bad - deceptive practices have their own costs...
After waiting for 16 weeks for my chairs, the delivery team showed up finally, Thank God. The delivery guys started by saying, since, I didn't paid for a white gloves services Ashley Homestore will just drop it at my door step. Knowing that i have paid, I tried explaining to them with evidence but he went on the phone with someone and he came back saying, his boss want him to bring the chairs back to the warehouse, like seriously? The guy was so rude and don't want to listen to me and then drove off the van. I quickly called guest care services and mail a copy indicating my payment but nobody get back to again.
What an insult? In line of this, we cancel our house warming party, because our family and friends will have no chairs to sit on. My families coming form Toronto and BC has to cancelled their flights as well and now they are still dealing with respective airlines for refunds. We also have to cancel food deliveries and pay a percentage for breach of contract. I don't even whether I can host the house warming again. Ashely's store have ruin my family get together and family memorable moments which supposed to be held on Canada's Day.
I called several managers who promised to investigate and called back but none of them get back to me. Mohammed is one of the managers and can attest to this.
The chairs were finally delivered on July 3, but unfortunately 2 of them were wobbling so I reported it to guest care services and they sent me a video to watch and fix it myself. Really? If I can fix chairs, I wouldn't have paid for white gloves service. The wobbling chairs haven't been fixed till date.
This my personal experience, so if you are planning to buy from Ashely store, you have to revisit your decision.
On Sept. 6,2020 my daughter helped me shop for new furniture for my new apartment.
I placed an order with Ashley Furniture in Lancaster, PA for a sofa and 2 kitchen bar stools and paid in full $1346. 20 including delivery on my VISA card.
I was promised delivery by Nov. 6,2020 when I planned to move into my new apartment.
My daughter called on Nov. 6th, and was told delivery was delayed until Jan. 19th for the stools; Feb. 6,2021 for the sofa, and Ashley Homestore would keep updated every two weeks via email on status.
No updates ever received and called numerous times to get updates.
Called on Jan. 13,2021 for update and told delivery date now March 20,2021.
Called the store today, Jan. 14,2021 and told I need to come into the store in person to cancel and process the refund. Given my age (88), health issues, and COVID situation I'm unwilling to do this.
So I submitted a request for refund though the Ashley Furniture Customer Facebook Group and informed my Credit card company to dispute this charge.
After I placed order I communicated with customer service that the loveseat would be del in my home. When I received an email it stated that the loveseat would be del doorstep. I then called customer service regarding this delivery and was told was doorstep I ask if noted that the loveseat was to del in home? I informed this person that my husband and I are disabled and can not get this loveseat into my home. This person put me on hold for ever then informed me that it is noted to place loveseat into home.
Delivery arrived 1 driver who could not get his truck completely backed up driveway and intended to drop the entire delivery in driveway. I tried to inform him that loveseat was to be placed in home. He disagreed said he was only to deliver here (pointed to driveway). I told him no I refused for him to deliver and I was going to call customer service. He replied ok got in his truck and left. I called customer service and was told that delivery is doorstep and then Ashley Homestore read about the loveseat to be placed in home. I was then informed that customer service would reschedule the delivery and the loveseat would be placed in home where ever I wanted it to be.
Next thing I get a text msg regarding the delivery requesting a reply conformation I called the phone number given to confirm that the loveseat was to placed in home and was told it was set for doorstep delivery. I ask was it not noted that the loveseat was to be placed in home? I was informed yes it was noted that I was handicap and needed loveseat place in home. I said ok so the loveseat will be placed in my home? To my surprise I was told no that would be premium delivery. I was also told that the delivery can not be upgraded it can be downgraded but not upgraded,
Even though I did order this on line I tried to reach out to my local store to inquire if they could help in delivering since the furniture is in local warehouse. I was even going to consider cancel this and reorder through store. But I quickly changed my mind when the person at the store was so rude over phone.
The only recourse I had was to cancel entire order of $1800. 00
This is the WORST FURNITURE STORE EVER! With a customer service that tells you what you want to hear.
It wasnt long before there was some minor peeling on both pieces which escalated into EXTREME peeling. This should NOT be happening within a few years of minor use. Both pieces are peeling in places that are never even touched! It need not be used it shreds itself. The quality of the material (DuraBlend) is cheap!
Every day, all day, with chronic back pain, I pick up pieces of the sofa and loveseat. I find pieces on my clothing and in the shower... everywhere! I weigh 98 pounds and have no pets. The sofa and loveseat continue to peel and come apart. There is no excuse for such poor quality.
On the DuraBlend information card the first descriptive word is durable! That word should have a question mark following it. (Durable?)... Another descriptive phrase on the card is sophisticated look and feel. Please see the photos. Does that say sophistication? It should say Belongs in dumpster. Sophistication? I am embarrassed to invite people into my home. When I do, Ashley Homestore always leave with pieces of the sofa and loveseat attached to their clothing. A souvenir of sophistication.
Stated on the tag is - Made by Ashley furniture Industries, Inc. Well Ashley, I need a REPLACEMENT sofa and loveseat of a similar color and shape BUT pieces that will NOT PEEL that ARE ACTUALLY durable and sophisticated in look and feel.
Signed,
Feeling and looking TIRED, bending over every day to pick up pieces of YOUR DuraBlend. Sick of looking at shredded furniture claiming to be durable.
I lost orders because the furniture didn't get made in the time period that the POS quoted which made me look like a liar to the angry customer that decided to cancel the order.
Also, the so call fabric called Durablend is like the Frankenstein Monster it's made of 17 percent of scraps of leather, some cotton and polyurethane (plastic). Doesn't that sound wonderful. And the regular "cloth" fabric Ashley Homestore use is polyester.
They also try to sell you this furniture protection using fear tactics that is rubbish, because when something does happen to your furniture, they don't honor it.
The also have the LIST price and the SALE price on tags which is just rubbish as well.
I could have done well if I was willing to give up my life for this place and give up my morals as well
There is a reason why they have high turn over, the floor is flooded with desperate sales people.
Lastly the training is horrible and too complicated. And when you try to get a short to the point answer, you get a lecture and nothing but a lot of words that don't answer your simple question.
Lastly two days after I told my manager at the Plano, Tx store that I had
Schizophrenia that was well under control he suddenly fired me with no reason.
Do America a favor and go out of business.
We went back to the store the day it was delivered, and spoke to the salesman who sold it to us. We were told we would not only have to pay a 25% restock fee, but also have to pay $50 for the delivery guys to come back to the house to get it.
We received a call from the warehouse a few hours after it was delivered saying it would be 5 days for them to come back and get it. We don't live out of town... in fact we are in N. Medford (not far from the store).
The ONLY guarantee Ashley has is to NOT return all of your money if you're not completely satisfied.
So, to summarize... a week to deliver it, having to wait another 5 days for them to come and pick it up. Plus pay $500 in restock fees and another $50 to have it picked up to return it.
Stay away from Ashley Home Store if you don't want to lose money.
My husband and I bought three reclining love seats and one rocker recliner. The furniture was delivered broken, I was told on April 7th that someone would call me on the 9th. My husband and I both had to call several time and sit on hold for more than 45 minutes. Ashley Homestore sent a repairman to check the furniture. He said it needed to be repaired. I did not buy furniture to be delivered broken, I order new furniture and new furniture is what I want to get.
We have worked with Ashley customer care and finally after over a month of phone calls. Our new furniture was to be delivered today and they were to take the damaged stuff back.
The delivery people were rude and called dispatch and said that he didn't feel comfortable entering my house. Made up lies so he didn't have to work. I find offensive is that they left. Dispatch calls me to ask my side of the story the dispatch lady was nice, but by this time, I just done.
I'm done trying to play nice. I'll go buy new furniture from a different store and Ashley can come and get their furniture.
