Buy One Get One Free?
Jan. 2017 Catherine's had a clearance sale. The come on: Buy one, put one in the cart free. So I buy two each of several items. Two of the same item, so they are the same price. Full price for first one, second one free? They charge me full price for both of the more expensive items & give me two cheaper items free. My bill was $40 more than I expected. Called them twice & emailed. This is a bait & switch! Beware they also offered an item listed like $18-$19. Usually 0X-2X is the cheaper price & 3X-5X is the higher price? Wrong, I checked each size NONE of the sizes were priced at the lower price. All of them 0X-5X were the higher price. Catherine's is not well managed!

Yes, the other bad reviews are correct.
Ordered something 2 weeks ago. Still no record under my account on orders. Called. Waited almost an hour. Guy could do nothing! After it's processing, no refund cancelations or anything. No idea when it's going to ship. Guy was upset for having to spend the whoooooole day telling people the same thing and Catherine's being mad. In fact, he blamed all the people for making the wait so long because they kept trying to get answers. Nope. No answers. Can't do anything. You are stuck if you make an order. I have had better experiences but I have two orders like this. Plus, I paid for shipping!

Dont Do It
Stay far away from this company I wished I read the reviews first. After a month of my order being placed I received my order with one of the items wrong. I now have to ship back the wrong item before Catherine's will ship out my correct item and that can take up to 5 weeks. Meanwhile I will have to pay for the item before I even receive it. No compensation for my trouble. Customer service is no help. I had called them 2 other times to check on this order and ask for a price adjustment since it did not ship. They would not make adjustments and the delivery was late.

Buyer Beware! Bait & Switch! Their mistakes are in their favor at the customer's expense.
I experienced six problems with Catherines, Inc in 10 weeks, while spending $400.
* submitted a charge twice
* omitted application of a discount to a sale
* delivered items not ordered
* stated a coupon was worth $25 but noted 25% in data base (Pedro, CSR Super)
* promised to email a coupon but didn't do it on two ocassions ( Sandra, CSR Super)
* rude & dismissive (Thomas, Mngr)
It appears to me that mistakes are made by design by management. Buyer Beware!

Never Ever Again
It was absolute and utter hell. I needed the dress for a wedding this Sunday. I am traveling on Saturday. I called your CS to get the package held at UPS so I could pick it up today. Your CS said Catherine's don't do that I had to call. I called UPS and was told it is at customer center in Ontario. I drove up there in the pouring rain to find that your company allows no changes to delivery. Why did your CS tell me to call? They should know that. Now I have no dress for the wedding. I can't travel tomorrow. This fiasco is costing me $$ and sent me on a wild goose chase. I WILL NEVER SHOP WITH YOU OR ANY OTHER STORE IN YOUR COMPANY AND I WILL BE SURE TO LEAVE THAT FEEDBACK FOR THE WORLD TO SEE.

Worthless coupons
It seems there is always a reason my coupons cannot be used. Too many rules and regulations about coupons and I think this is being done on purpose just to get people in the store. I have never been able to use a coupon yet. Today will be my last trip to Catherine's. It is much easier and cheaper to buy from sales catalogs such as, Blair, Woman Within and etc. No wonder stores are closing up all over. People really don't like being taken advantage of. I'm done!

Disappointed
I have shopped at Catherine's for years with great satisfaction. When Catherine's were taken over everything seemed to be going well. The last month it is completely different. I would always get my ordered in less than 3 weeks. This last order, however, has not even been shipped in more than 3 weeks. I tried calling several times and could not get through without a long wait. Then I tried chat several times and would get error messages they were too busy. A few days later the chat is no longer available. I finally set a day aside that I was going to call and just wait however long I need to. It was an hour and a half. When I finally get through that just read the disclaimer and have no answers at all. I am not sure I will be going back.

Buyer Beware
I I purchased a $200 dress for my son's wedding online. Upon receiving it and trying it on it wasn't for me. I researched how to return, and decided my best option was to return it to a store in a community about 100 miles from where I live since I planned to be in that city anyway. I returned it to the store only to be told Catherine's could not credit my account. They had to ship it back to the warehouse and I would receive credit when they received it. I thought it was odd, but they were busy and kind of dismissed me. I was half way home about 50 miles away when I realized they did not give me a receipt. Fast forward three weeks later and of course no record of my dress anywhere. No tracking # and no evidence that I returned it so I am out $200. The customer rep on the phone was friendly and did reach out to the store where the dress was returned but in the end was not able to do anything. She said the store probably hung the dress up and sold it again. I won't be shopping there ever again and I can't advise anyone else to either.

DON'T DO IT
Opened Catherine card in store. Somehow my card was associated with another persons account and Catherine's closed my account. I contacted Customer Service, they so called fixed my issue but the next day they closed my account again. Therefore i went into store twice to look like a fool thinking I could use my card. I called Customer Service back and they want me to send in hard copy front and back of my ID and SSN and a bill with my address and name on it. That is very dangerous this day and time to do. They need to update the system so that we can send via email. I would be a fool to send my info through the mail. This is VERY unprofessional. Now I have to find somewhere else to spend my money because this situation sucks and its not even my fault. There should be a better way to identify me other than sending my personal info in the mail which is STUPID

New ownership new disappointments
Their customer service is a joke and shouldn't be allowed to label itself as any type of service for customers. Evidently your order doesn't show up on their site as existing until it is shipped (which can take weeks). Not knowing this little tidbit of information, I freaked that the order I placed for my sister's birthday present didn't exist. Even when I typed in the order # that I had screen grabbed it still said it didn't exist. Of course I immediately reordered it - thinking perhaps I forgot to hit the place order button.

Well, long story short (too late) I finally got an email stating my 1st order had shipped so I called up the company to cancel the second order that I placed only 2 days earlier and shows it doesn't exist on the website. Their response, too bad so sad we can't help you. Catherine's couldn't even contact the warehouse to see if the order had started processing. Oh, but if I wanted to email the company I could and someone might be able to help me...

There are way too many companies out their that cater to the big and beautiful women of this world, I don't need to give my clothing budget to Catherine's or any of the subsidiaries attached to the Catherine's website.

Customer service is atrocious clothing is sub par
I am disabled. I order most of my items online. It was convenient to order online from catherine's and supposedly easy to return. We have a store near me so my caregiver returns items directly to the store should we need to. And we frequently need to. However, I've had enough of their red tape policies that prevent returns even with the shipping receipt, the card that was used to purchase it as well as the scannable barcode from the package the item was in. Especially when it's less than 60 days old. Their customer service line is a joke and the store manager Linda was even more so. I will not support a company like this any longer.

Poor quality and don't stand behind their products!
Today I posted on Catherines Plus Sizes the following: I do not understand the Corporate policy I was just quoted - I called about purchases I made approximately 3 months ago. I have spent approx 250.00 in the 3 month time frame. I have purchased 2 pairs of the Knit Jean Capri's and 2 pairs of the Knit Jeans. 1 pair on the Knit Jeans in Denim color has pulled places and holes in them. The Capris are fine. These jeans retail at 54.95 so I called to see about exchanging them because in my estimation Catherine's are defective. I was informed that if the product has been washed or worn I have no recourse, mind you the jeans say on them to wash before wearing so I guess I want to warn others that if you make purchases here the company will not stand behind their products.

Don't shop Catherines!
Ordered several items on Nov. 30 for a Christmas gift. It is Dec. 20 and no sign of my items, although they've had my money since early December. Catherine's tell me I have to wait 10-20 more days to determine if the package is lost or stolen. Really? Ummm... Christmas is Dec. 25! I've called 3 times to get some info, but nothing. How about an email letting me know the status since the delivery date has come and gone!? I had to start over at another store(s) for a plus size "petite" which is hard to find! I am sending my credit card police after Catherines! Hopefully I will get my refund somehow. I would have preferred donating this money to a charity rather than getting ripped off! Very disappointing.

Horrible Customer Service
I ordered something that was in stock on 4/23. By 5/5 my item was still listed as not shipped. I called to cancel the order on 5/5. After 45 minutes on hold, I was told I could not cancel the order because it was in process. I sent an email to Customer Service on 5/5 Requesting that the order be cancelled. On 5/10 the item finally shipped and customer service responded on 5/12 that Catherine's can't cancel it. So I couldn't cancel an order that took 5 additional days to ship after my request to cancel. Now I have to pay to and from shipping for an item I don't need because the event I ordered it for already happened. It's not worth the aggravation to do business with this company. I was a loyal customer for many years. Now they charge huge shipping fees and their customer service is non-existent. Lane Bryant has my business now and I'm very happy with my service, shipping fees, and shipping times. Don't waste your time or money on Catherine's. If I could give a zero rating, I would.

Beware of Returns!
I purchased an interview outfit and accessories totaling $168.00; however, when I got home and tried on the necklace, it wasn't for me. I returned it to the store without the receipt, but with the tag still attached and the CC I had used. The clerk had no record of the transaction in her computer. I was told that since I had no receipt, she could only issue me store credit. Understood. HOWEVER, the amount of the credit would be $11.00--not the $34.00 I paid. She said the store "prorates" returns. This is an unfair policy. So, if you absolutely must shop at Catherine's, but sure to bring $ and don't even think about making a return!

One star is too much
Orders not being processed, much less shipped, after 2 weeks; order placed and not showing up in account even after several days; 70 minutes on the phone today trying to sort out when my orders will ship ended up with being transferred back into the queue after being told there was an issue with "credit." This is bs as I paid with a debit card and it still hasn't made it's way to my bank account, in which there is more than ample money to cover the expense. But wait, the same debit card has been used time and again by Catherine's with no problem. So, the transfer back to the phone queue was clearly to get me off the phone because no one knows what the hell they're doing. I've been a Catherine's customer, in-store and online, for many years - 15? Up to now, my experiences were always very satisfying. No more money for them now!

Not the Catherine's I recall
I have ordered from Catherine's for years, so I thought nothing of it when I placed my order on May 2. It is May 24 and not only do I still not have my order, but Catherine's cannot even give mean estimated ship date. I have emailed and called and I get a canned response. The automated phone system just hangs up. I ordered these clothes to wear for my daughters graduation and also for our vacation. She graduates in a week and I don't have the clothes. They had no issue taking my $375, but they can't ship my order. Now I am out $375 and still need to buy clothes. They are horrible.

Bad service
I had to make THREE trips to the lcoal Catherine's in Evansville, In to make a return. I somehow got the wrong size in capris. TWICE Catherine's offered me a gift card - I paid for this item on my charge card and did not want a gift card. The last time the clerk didn't know what she was doing - FINALLY after raising my voice and getting mad they got the return off my charge card. I also have trouble loging into to the account to pay Catherine's card. As soon as I make sure the balance is zero I can tearing up the Catherine's card and will use Discover from now on. With the virus I don't carry a purse, but do have my Discover card with me. One of the sales lady had on a cute outfit, but had shorts with an overlay of a skirt. You could easily see all of her legs. I think this is inapprobraite for a palce of business and told her so. What should have been a 5 minutes or less transaction took 15 minutes and I was on my way to work. Almost late.

Declined since went online
Every since Catherine's shut their doors on the brick and mortar stores (mid-2020?), the service online has significantly declined. Additionally, their styles and choices have also declined. I have shopped at Catherine's since Day 1... when Catherine's went from P.S. Plus Sizes to Catherine's. I have always felt that their regular prices were too high, so I usually bought everything on sale or clearance... and sometimes got some smokin' deals! I always felt, however, their quality was pretty high compared to other stores at similar prices, so with a little research and patience, I have built up my wardrobe and rarely get rid of anything from Catherine's. Thank God, because I have been extremely disappointed with the "new" styles and choices at their "new" online "home." I am seeing items that I bought ON CLEARANCE (read for pennies on the original price) two years ago being sold at full price as "new" items. NOT! I'm not talking about things like bras and underwear... I mean tops with specific patterns and colors that have not changed at all. And they are advertising them as new items. Disappointing as they had always seemed to come out with some really nice, new designs, colors and patterns which is why I shopped them pretty frequently and even invested in the "perks" card annually. But probably the most disappointing is them joining with other plus size online retailers in a "one stop shop" kind of website. It is difficult to navigate, and IMO, "cheapens" the experience, not enhances it. You have to filter by the brand if you only want to see certain brands (ie. Catherines, Roaman's, etc.), and if you back out of looking at something, you have to reapply the filter again or else you suddenly have 1000 items to look at from every retailer, instead of just the one you wanted to shop. And, as previously noted, it seems that their choices and new styles are very limited compared to when they had their own brick and mortar stores. Sorry Catherines, you lost a life-long customer with this move. I also don't like that I can't ship to the store for free any more... in fact, trying to find free shipping at this site is like finding a polar bear in Hawaii. This move also introduced me to many more online plus sized retailers, which I will have to start taking a chance with since I'm not happy with the Catherine's brand any more. Bbbyyyyy... so sad.

No customer service- hold for an hr - no way to cancel an order
I have been a loyal shopper for years- no more! I ordered in 4/9 was supposed to arrive in 7-12 business days. It is now 4/27 - no shipment. I started with the site - it said processed but not shipped- started calling last weekend - took three tries waiting 45 min or more to get someone to answer - Catherine's told me to be patient - argh - then again this past weekend when I hung up after an hr on hold - whatever they send is going back! Such a shame but now I understand why they had to file for bankruptcy. Stay away from them -it will make you crazy!
