You probably already know that the old Coldwater Creek went bankrupt and was purchased a year or two later by a larger company. Coldwater Creek have apparently decided not to re-open the retail stores, and to sell only on line. I was pretty turned off by the initial catalogs that I was sent - the clothing appeared to be much less stylish and more 'matronly' than anything I'd want to wear (even tho I am retired and in my mid 60's). However, in the past 6 months, the style has improved, the variety of offerings has increased, and I think we might start to see better clothing. I've now gone ahead to order, and, while the consistency is still a bit of a problem, the quality is beginning to return to that of the 'old' Coldwater Creek. I've scored some really good purchases, and now look forward to seeing what their new catalogs have to offer.

Everything about them is now false! File complaint with Attorney General
If you once knew Coldwater Creek as a brick-and-mortar store -- forget it. This is not the same company. The current group simply bought the rights to use the name.

The headquarters once listed in MA is now closed and the number disconnected. The current headquarters in ID and listed above in the headline on this page is likely bogus. The phone number shown above is a "rewards" line and does not get you to the company.

A few months ago it was hard to find a phone number to talk to Customer Service -- had to search the internet. Now, a phone number is splashed in large type on their website and on the invoice sent with merchandise. Calling this number will be answered by a cheery voicemail saying, "We haven't forgotten you... We're open 24/7". You will sit on hold -- permanently.

If you have used your credit card to purchase, you will notice there is no phone number listed as some other companies do.

I have personally filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and will follow through with the Attorney General's Office in my state. Coldwater Creek is collecting monies through internet sales and also sales tax, but in some cases there is no merchandise and no one to talk to! Their business practices are unethical, misleading, and perhaps illegal. Don't get mad -- get even! I urge all who see this to consult with the attorney general in their state. Go prepared with notes and documentation. This company is now owned by Sycamore Partners out of NY -- these would be the "money men".

Update on my previous review
As I wrote previously, I had order over $200.00 worth of items from this company and never received it. I went through weeks of calling them and having the customer reps say that it was fed-ex problem and Coldwater Creek couldnt do anything about it. I personally talked to some amazingly helpful Fed-Eex people who told me what had happened to my package. When Fed ex received the package it was empty, had no contents. They told me I needed to notify CCC. But, when I talked to CCC they treated me like an idiot and had no avenue for me to get any one on the phone who had the power to investigate the matter. In the end, I had to have a lawyer write them a letter threatening a lawsuit. When they got the letter what do you knowsomeone who had the actual power to do something called me and gave me a refund. So for all my time and effort I did get my money back. What a hassle. I have never had this bad of an online shopping experience.

Ordering with Customer assistance,
The young lady was helpful and pleasant but when I checked my sister's order it had a medium bottom and a small top. My sister is very large busted and must have a larger top which I ordered large. I checked my email just to discover my sisters gift was a medium pant's and small! Top. I called thinking we will get this strengthened out simple Coldwater Creek would send the X large top with the medium pants But alas that was not how it happened. The new rep said oh you must pay for the new top all over again and then they will ship it. They have not shipped anything yet but charged my card 570.00 already. I said I will just pay you price again but then she said oh! Your credit card dose not work. While she is on the phone trying to cancel my whole order I call my credit card people and they say their is nothing wrong with your card. They say your credit has blank thousand dollars you can spend. Has. They tell me to file dispute against Coldwater Creek which I will. The stores were wonderful but these people cant seem to get their shipping and correct size problem under control. I love the product but the last time I spent money at Coldwater creek they never sent my blue shirt with my large order. Then I did not shop with them again and they closed. I knew why because of the same monkey business out of the product don't tell just send wrong size and pocket the money. You have a good product but can not get your people to package and send product properly. I suggest you open your stores again or just close. It is just to much trouble to shop with you. I will tell everyone at church work and my doctor whom was all exited when I told her you have a catalogue and on line shopping. I am going to take a blood pressure pill now and calm down.

A Company With No Integrity!
I purchased a dress and found when trying it on that it ran extremely big. I followed the instructions for returning, which included using their labels, one for me to keep with the tracking number and a phone number. The return was sent on 8/17. I've tracked several times, but no information can be provided. Today, 8/27, I called the number provided on the label I saved. Gave customer service the tracking number provided by them. I was asked if there were any other numbers that followed what I gave. I said NO, I gave you to full number, which was on the label that YOU provided. She said she could not locate the package. Then I was told that it could take up to 3 weeks for them to receive the return. I live in Illinois, I was told the warehouse is in Indiana. Why it takes 3 weeks to receive a package is beyond me AND after receiving the return it then takes 10-12 days to process the return before a credit is given. This is insane. I would like to know where my package is sitting after mailing 10 days ago. After reading many of the reviews online, I feel this credit won't ever appear on my card. There is no way for me to track as the tracking info Coldwater Creek gave is bogus. They jump to take your money for a purchase, but there is no guarantee of a refund when returning. Very disappointed. I will never order from this company again.

89.95 for a medium quality blouse? Are you kidding me?
I used to love shopping at Coldwater Creek when Coldwater Creek had stores, back in the 2003, 2004. Etc. The sales staff was alway helpful, the clothes were good quality and aside from basics, there were clothes that were so well designed I thought, "I have to have this!" Prices weren't cheap but they seemed fair, so if they were on sale they were a bargain. When I lost a lot of weight, I had to get rid of most of my closthes which was a shame on the one had because I loved almost all of my wardrobe. (Yes, loosing the weight and keeping it off was worth it.) Went to the mall, and low and behold no more stores! In the catalogs, the clothes are mostly conservative in a way that make them boring. I understand their return policy is difficult. I'm still getting catalogs from them and I spotted a tee shirt that caught my eye. $69.99! Seriously? I'm plannng to write them to tell them not to waste their paper and postage on me. They took a really fun place to shop and turned it into expensive ho-hum.

Not Reliable & Very Expensive for bad service
I order a few things from this company because Coldwater Creek have some cute unique styles... BUT they are EXPENSIVE. That's not my complaint though... I don't mind paying a bit more for nice quality clothing. But when you pay that much - your customer services need to be excellent - in my opinion they are horrible! I placed an order for 4 items in (2) different orders- the 4th item I added to the 2nd order because I would receive an extra % and free shipping. So I added the an order for white jeans which i really didn't need for my wardrobe. Guess what 1 piece of clothing I received - the white jeans that I really didn't want. The other items that I was so excited to receive I kept getting emails pushing out the delivery date a couple times... OVER 4 MONTHS. Finally I emailed to say what the heck? And THEN I finally received an email both saying the rest of the items were discontinued. I was mad. It took them 4 months to figure out they didn't have those products. I told them to take me off their email list and stop mailing catalogs on 6/14/2020. They responded by email to me on 7/05/2020.
Now i have to wait 6 - 8 weeks for be removed from the mailing list. I don't recommend them. Too many other places with just as cute clothing with much better service.

BEWARE people are not getting credit for returned clothes
Today I reviewed my credit card statement and saw that I had not received credit for $700 to 800 of clothes returned. I called Coldwater Creek and the said oh yes on 7/16 we issued credit to your credit card... called bank of credit card, "No there is no credits on your account issued. Called Coldwater Creek we issued credit, here are reference numbers, tell your credit card people these reference numbers and the can trans it down. Credit card people, "can't track those numbers". Going on 3 hours now... call back the girl helping me at Coldwater, oh she just went home I can call back tomorrow! Tell the store, puts me on hold long time comes back... problem with credits issued AROUND that time Coldwater Creek looking into it! Why did they not tell me that 3hours ago? STILL trying to get my credit for my returns, they made me no promise of when I would get it...

Total incompetence.
I ordered items from coldwater creek for an upcoming business trip. I got a confirmation and my items were shipped. Their expected arrival was more than 3 weeks from my order date. I still might have gotten the order in time, but after the order arrived in my city there was an "exception " because the address was incomplete and it could not be delivered. I called and asked what the problem was since the address provided in my confirmation was correct. Coldwater Creek informed me that the address was too long, so the end had been cut off and there was nothing they could do. The item is going to be returned to them and I will get a credit. It is still 7 days before my trip. I inquired if the items were still in stock and they could reshape the, so that I could get them in time for the trip. They assured me tha5 the items were in stock, but there was no way that I could have them within 7 days. This is absolutely ridiculous. I will neve4 do business with them again. Talk about lack of consideration for a customer. Also, who does their shipping labels? Couldn't they see that part of the address was missing?

Deserves ZERO stars!
OK, so Coldwater Creek are now officially out of business BUT prior to this they sent me a "goodbye, we're going out of business" catalogue in July advertising 70% off everything. I have shopped at CC many times over the years but always thought their clothes were overpriced, so I would generally buy items on sale. I should have known it was too good to be true. They just cancelled all 7 items I ordered after I waited over three weeks, and when I would check my delivery status they kept moving the delivery date further and further out. So no wonder they are out of business, they appear to be clueless as to their inventory, and unable to fulfill orders which just seems like false advertising. I would give them zero stars if that were an option. Not sorry to see them go, retailers doing business like this are not worth the trouble.

NO RECOURSE!
I received a beautiful top just a few days ago. Sedona Canyon Twin Print Tee Style Number: 14987 I opened the package, tried it on, and it fit well. Great colors! I always try on before I decide if I will keep a mail order item. Since it fit nicely, I washed and dried the item according to instructions, and upon removing it from the dryer I discovered holes in a straight line in the back of the top. I had not noticed them when I unpacked the top. I wrote to CC to ask what I could do, that I would like to exchange it. Coldwater Creek wrote back immediately telling me they cannot take back any item that has been worn, or washed, apparently even though the item is DEFECTIVE. Very angry about this, and so I called. Customer service told me I was "making a very bold statement" and that they couldn't help me. THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WILL PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM. I AM DISGUSTED! Do I have to examine every inch of a product before I try it on? I simply held it up and slipped it over my head. (I LOVED IT) but happened to miss this line of holes on the back. KEEP YOUR DARN CATALOGS! KEEP YOUR DARN EMAILS!

Be afraid... be be very afraid
I ordered a dress in May from a catalogue with a source code of CA8BUD1075 and received a return message thanking me as well as a ship date of June 24,2018.
Then, the order tracking no longer showed the CC tracking. Nothing but a message on the website that customers need to call regarding orders made prior to June 15.
Two charges appeared on my checking account making it appear that I was charged twice.
I called and was told that one of the charges would be removed and verified that it was. Because one charge remained on my bank account, I called for shipping information. I was told that Coldwater Creek had no shipping information because the item is on backorder!
So, no dress, no shipping info on the dress, charged for the dress. I placed the order on May 21,2018.
If there was a "system upgrade", someone planned it very well for CC: get the customer's $ and don't send the goods!

Quality clothes, but returns are a nightmare
As long as you have no returns, Coldwater Creek still has quality clothing. If you do need to return something, do not email but instead call customer service. Coldwater Creek can generate a return form and will email it to you immediately; keep copies of these 2 emails and your order along with the SKU/Style number info about what you return (take photos with your phone of these documents, and also your package before you mail it). Your package will take 2 weeks to get to Illiniois then to Indiana; for the next two weeks it will bounce back to IL then back to IN according to the tracking; it's crazy and indicates serious issues with their logistics. Then, please do call their customer service; leave your name and they will call back so you don't have to wait. I've found their customer service folks on the phone to be very helpful and the lady I got today expedited my refund, although she did say it will take up to 12 days (!) to appear. Everything takes much longer than it should, I think their returns processing is seriously messed up after their reorganization under new ownership last summer.

Coldwater Creek Rip Off - Sterling Silver is not real
I bought a liquid silver necklace from Coldwater Creek that was marked sterling silver and had a price to match. I have taken very good care of this necklace but found that it would no longer shine. I took it to the jewelers for polishing and found out today that it is not sterling silver. When I called Coldwater Creek customer service I was told too bad, the necklace was from the "old" Coldwater Creek and it was my problem. I pointed out that this was sold to me under the Coldwater Creek name Coldwater Creek are using and it was fraud to sell jewelry as sterling silver that was not the customer service agent tried to tell me that sterling silver does not last and can go bad. REALLY? Then why does my grandmother's sterling silver tableware still shine? These people are complete rip off's... both the old company that sold the fraudulently marked necklace and the company that bought their name. I will never buy anything again from Coldwater Creek and BEWARE of anything on the internet being sold as Coldwater Creek Sterling Silver... it is not!

Will NEVER purchase from them again!
I ordered a quilted jacket which appeared to be of good quality and so I planned to keep it. However when i tried it on for a friend she pointed out that it was too baggy between the shoulders in the back and it puffed out. I then decided to return it, not realizing that it was past the 90 day return policy by approx 2 weeks. The jacket was sent back to me with no explanation, no email, with my address label placed over the return label. When I called to ask about it, I was told Coldwater Creek probably sent it back because it was past the 90 days and they usually put a letter in it. Manager said same. They could not have cared less when told I would never shop there again. I would have been fine with receiving credit. They have the worst customer service of anywhere I shop and i shop online frequently. Will NEVER order from them again and will spread the word to my friends.

-10 stars WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! :(
Coldwater Creek was a complete nightmare to deal with. I ordered a few things as a gift for a family member and the items took FOREVER to ship. I was missing a couple items so I contacted customer service which honestly should be called "customer disservice" and inquired about where my items were. After TWO WEEKS and emailing multiple times to get an answer, then and only then was I informed that the items were on backorder. Great, thanks for telling me. At that point my family member had already received the gifts and I had no time to wait for the backordered item so I asked for it to be cancelled. The company did not email me back. I emailed again and still nothing. Finally, Coldwater Creek responding a week later and informed me that they would not cancel the order because it was too late and that the item was being shipped to me as of a day ago. I was furious since I had emailed a week ago and was ignored. Since I was obviously the right one in this situation and not the one at fault, I sent another email expressing my frustration and asking that I be fully refunded for all the trouble. I was yet again ignored. The item finally arrived and the company finally emailed me back saying that if I didn't want the item I could send it back. Yes, but then I would have to pay shipping for something I asked to have cancelled. They did not even offer to cover the fee and ONCE AGAIN ignored me. I sent the item back and had to pay for the shipping. I am NEVER again wasting my time on this company. Not only that, but the items that we did receive weren't even great quality so definitely not worth the trouble. This company is horrendous and I would never recommend this to anyone. It feels like I have been scammed and ignored and I do not appreciate this at all. I have never experienced such terrible service. I would rate this -10 stars if I could!

Will never return
Several years ago I purchased some T shirts that I liked. A few months ago I wanted to order some in different colors. The reviews for the shirts were terrible, but I ordered anyway. When I got them, I realized the reviews were correct. Coldwater Creek were far inferior to the originals. I had to donate them to a thrift store.
I wrote a review, and received an email saying that my review violated their review policy. I'm not sure why. There were tons on negative reviews about these shirts, I don't know why mine was singled out except that I compared the quality to that of a known cheap discount store. I wrote a different review and submitted it. When I went to check if it had been posted (I hadn't heard anything this time.) I discovered that ALL of the negative reviews had been removed! Nothing but 4 and 5 star ratings were there. Stay way!

NOT the same quality Coldwater Creek. New company is Bogus!
I used to buy ALOT from the original Coldwater Creek company. This company is NOT the same. Their policies are atrocious. I placed a sizeable order from this new company and paid a ridiculous amount for shipping thinking it would arrive in just a few days. It took 10 days for the package to arrive and one of the items was even missing from the package. I returned the entire order right away and now Coldwater Creek tell me it takes 3 to 4 weeks to reach their warehouse before they will even BEGIN the return process. WHAT? I am in New Hampshire and they are based in Massachusetts... the next state from me. I could drive to their location in 1 1/2 hours. Their customer service clerks are rude. Their shipping policy is ridiculous. The quality of the clothing is chinzy based on what I received ($421 order) and their return policy/return shipping is ludicrous. This company will NOT last. Do NOT buy anything from them. You will not be happy. I anticipate they will go out of business very quickly. Be VERY careful!

Coldwater Creek takes no responsibility for their washing instructions
I made an order a few weeks ago and received everything promptly. I opened all my items, tried them on and was pleased with everything so I discarded all my packaging.
However, two dresses shrunk an entire size. I followed the instructions exactly - cold water, gently in an HE washer, hung to dry. These dresses should have been dry cleaned and I certainly would have done that had that been the given instructions. I simply asked for them to be replaced and I would dry clean them going forward.
When I contacted CC Coldwater Creek kept sending me their policy about no returns after being washed. They literally refused to discuss their responsibility with regard to care instructions. I got several different people responding to me with different ways of saying the same thing, some cut and pasted the return policy. See this one:

Worst customer service ever encountered in my life!
For the first time in my life i decided to order a jacket from Coldwater. For some reason Coldwater Creek abbreviated my address, therefore USPS could not deliver and received a message it was being sent back to them. I called them and asked if they could resend another shipment since 2 weeks had passed. Being that I am used to dealing with other retailers with great customer service I assumed they would resend item or refund my money. I was terribly wrong! They don't resend items even thought it was their mistake for abbreviating parts of my address, but they did not give me a refund. Every time I would call they were rude and basically told me to take a hike. Finally, after one month the post office sent them the package and a week later my money was refunded, but not the shipping even though they put an incorrect address. It's not even worth getting upset but I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING ELSE FROM THE AGAIN! Buyer Beware
