INCONSIDERATE!
Ordered several high end items about a month ago. Heard nothing from them for about a week and had to contact them to ask if the items had shipped. CookStore were not. Eventually, they did ship it. Finally received it today and was immensely disappointed in the way the items were packaged and shipped. It was as if they have no respect for the products they sell. The boxes of products were taped together with packing tape, then everything was shrink wrapped and sent. By the time they were delivered to me, the shrink wrap had busted open ( almost falling off from the boxes), exposing everything. One of the boxes had been crushed. To separate the boxes from each other, I had to rip off the packing tape, damaging both boxes in the process. If these were meant as presents for someone else, I would have been extremely embarrassed about the condition of the packages. Thankfully, the frypan does not appear to be damaged - but I have not had the chance to test the Coffee Grinder yet. Because there was no cushioning whatsoever to protect the electronics of the Coffee Grinder, I am a little concerned. If it is damaged, I certainly don't look forward to returning it for exchange and having to go through this entire ordeal again. A little consideration for their customers by notifying them of shipping, packing all products properly and respectfully would have been nice. Never again! I had given Cook Store a try, thinking that I would support a Canadian business - but it appears they really don't care.

Kind and Thoughtful Customer Service
It took awhile for our espresso machine to arrive - due to covid-19 - but the emails every 2-3 weeks to update me on the status and remind me that I hadn't been forgotten were very helpful and relieved me of any stress/consternation I might have been feeling from the delay. The emails also had a very empathetic voice which I felt struck the right tone. When I received an automated reply email after the item had not been received offering to help me find an alternative or refund I replied and eventually spoke to a representative that was really helpful and let me know that I could continue to wait on the machine I had ordered(that being my preference) as Cook Store was expecting it to arrive to them in 1-2 weeks. I felt that was very helpful, my corresponding with the customer service rep. All in all I enjoyed the little touches in the correspondences I received from your team. The assurances sent to me that I hadn't been forgotten kept me feeling in the loop.

All together a good experience so I will shop there again.

Do NOT order from this company!
As reflected in so many other reviews here CookStore are an absolute sham of a company to deal with. Items their site says are in stock aren't. Huge delays with shipping with endless canned responses of "we'll ship your order soon" from customer service. After almost a MONTH from putting in an order and being told constantly it wasn't in stock but would ship soon, I finally gave up and asked for a refund. I got no response for 4 days after multiple attempts to reach them on the 4th day they told me they couldn't cancel the order since it was "already with shipping". This company has a real smell to them. After seeing all the other negative reviews I know I'm going to be in a situation where I have to dispute these charges with my creditcard company.

A 2 day delivery, nearly 8 months later and still no arrival
Ordered a present for my husband back in June. It was supposed to arrive within two days. Summer goes on, still no arrival. When I contacted the company CookStore proceeded to tell me that it is not in from their warehouse and they are not sure when it will be in. They still had charged my card, so I was now being charged interest for an item that had not yet shipped. No where on the site did it say that the item was not in stock. When I asked for a refund, they talked me into having 10 dollars back and to wait longer. I agreed. This happened over the next several months. Through Christmas, still did not have the item. In January I asked for a full refund, they gave me $40 less back than the original price I paid. Their argument was that they had given me refunds throughout my wait time of 10 dollars here, 20 dollars there. I only actually received the one 10 and then the total refund minus the 40. Terrible considering I am now out 40 dollars, the wait time, the interest, and the present. The last response (email only) from the company was very snarky and unwelcomed. I do not recommend ordering from them.

The shadiest "retailer"!
The latest is them removing all reviews from their Facebook page because of all the hate CookStore deservedly are getting. I placed an order for a knife set that was to ship within days, weeks went by and I tried to cancel and get a refund, they denied it and said "it was in shipping". 2 days later I got tracking info and eventually did receive the set. I was told I could return the item for refund, but any inquiries as to how to start the process were ignored. Numerous examples are posted online of customers paying, waiting months, and never received their item or refunds. Customers have also returned items with proof of tracked shipping and cook store still didn't refund them! That's straight up theft. They are the worst, I'll never order from them, and am battling with PayPal for how shady this business is.

Cookstore.ca ain't no Amazon
I ordered an ice cream maker from cookstore.ca in the last week of August and spent the next 3 months chasing delivery. CookStore don't answer the phone when you call but there is a recorded message asking you to send an email which I did and, to their credit, they responded very promptly every time saying they'd send it as soon as it was in stock. I noticed they continued to advertise the particular ice cream maker I ordered even though they didn't have it to deliver.

They even sent me a request to give them feedback which I did - never heard from them.

I finally received the ice cream maker just before Christmas and guess what? It was faulty! So I emailed them about it and they responded saying I needed to take it up with the manufacturer. Great!

I original bought the ice cream maker from cookstore.ca coz they had the best price. Now I notice it's $40 less at Amazon... and I know if Amazon ever sent me a useless faulty product they would just replace it straight away.

I also ordered an electric knife sharpener from cookstore.ca in September. It never came. Despite numerous queries. I cancelled the order last week and cookstore.ca processed a refund.

My whole experience with cookstore.ca has a been a terrible waste of my time.

Not worth the headache!
We purchased a Final Touch 6 bottle liquor dispenser from them on Aug 31st, and the item hasn't even shipped yet. We've written several emails and the representative who keeps replying (Anna B) keeps telling us that we will be receiving it the following week. Seems like that's their go to response even though CookStore have no clue when you'll be receiving it. All they do is ask us if we would like to cancel our order, instead of asking how they can remedy the situation. We try and support Canadian companies, which is why we purchased the item through them, but next time I'll stick with Amazon. Clearly we aren't the only customers who've had an experience like this since I've read multiple reviews and this comment seems to be everywhere (except on their website but I wouldn't trust those reviews. Not worth the headache!

You need to keep pursuing or you may never receive your order
I took advantage of their free shipping during last Christmas (2019) and ordered a few items. A package arrived a few weeks later. To my horror, one item was missing from the package. There was no indication on the package (nor email notification) telling me that the missing item will be shipped later. So I sent them an email. CookStore told me that the item was out of stock but a shipment has just arrived and will be sending me a delivery confirmation within a week. A week passed and no email confirmation. So I asked again and was told the same thing. So I kept waiting. It was probably the longest waiting time in my online shopping experiences. I couldn't help but wonder, will they actually send the item if I didn't keep pursuing. They charged my credit card right away when I placed the order, but didn't send the item till more than one month later. The three stars are given to the email/chat conversations I had with the staff. But I will give a negative three stars to the shipping arrangement. A missing item in my original packaged and a delayed in sending the last item. The whole experience gives me a chilly effect. Despite the great selections on their website, I feel very uncomfortable buying from them again. Trust is lost.

STAY AWAY
I ordered my items May 7/20, I still have not received them (June 23/20). First it was back ordered but CookStore would ship it out as soon as the received it. Then it was at the shipping department and I would be receiving my tracking info within one business day (that was June 9/20). On June 11/20 apparently they reached out to the shipping department with no answer, June 15/20 still nothing (all contact has been initiated by me) and apparently even though I hadn't asked to yet they felt the need to inform me that they cannot cancel my order. June 16 & 18 I contacted still no answer other than they reached out to the shipping department. On the 19th I opened another ticket and they closed it without a reply. Did I mention tickets are the only way you can get in touch with this company, you call their number and get an automated response, if you wait through the response it actually rings but no one ever picks up. You can leave a message but no one ever returns your call (I tried 3 times). Do not buy from this company, they lead you to believe all items are in stock when they are not and they will not tell you they are back ordered unless you contact them. It has been almost 2 months since I placed my order and I have given up. I have contacted my credit card company and requested a reversal of the transaction as I have not received my item yet.

DO NOT BUY - buy from kitchensmart instead
Very terrible experience. I spent $700 on the site buying pots in December. CookStore were happy to take my money but I heard nothing for a month. When I requested a refund because I'm sketched out, it took them a full week to respond to my multiple inquires for a refund, and the email they sent was super passive aggressive with no apologies. I'm sure they are having issues with supply chain in covid but still be normal - don't charge customers until shipment, inform customers clearly of ETAs so they can make their decision, respond to customer inquiries in a timely fashion. Is that too much to ask?

BTW I bought from Kitchensmart the same pots they arrived so quickly. I am still waiting for my refund from cook store. With I knew this earlier I would not have spent money on the site. I'm enver ever buying from Cookstore again. It's just a waste of time and money.

This website is a joke
I placed an order December 8th. Waited almost 3 weeks before I contacted them and CookStore said they were waiting on some items. All the items said In stock in their website. They offered a$10 rebate but I had to contact them 2x to actually receive it. I received most of my order into the middle of January but was told they were still waiting for an item. I told them if they had it in another colour they could just send that one and they said ok. 2 weeks later i contacted them yet again and they said the item was cancelled due to a shipping error. Ummm I wasn't notified. Worst of all they said they had no other bench scrapers to send. I wonder how long it will take to get my refund this time. I will never order from them again and would never recommend anyone order from them, which is too bad because they do have decent prices

Ordering made easy!
We are thoroughly pleased with the ordering of our All Clad Gourmet Plus slow cooker. The process was easy and the tracking made simple. We actually received the item a day ahead of time and it only took five days. It was my original intent to purchase the All Clad Gourmet slow cooker for S289.95 at Williams Sonoma in Calgary. I then saw your website with the Gourmet Plus model and realized the marvelous extra features for $324. Williams Sonoma had that same item for $425. What a bargain purchasing from the Cook Store! We purchased this Item because a friend of ours has had the All Clad Gourmet slow cooker for nearly 4-years and is very pleased with it. Our last Crock Pot slow cooker died last week so we borrowed theirs to cook an out of this world corned beef. We seem to purchase the box store slow cookers about every two years. Here is hoping that the All Clad will give us many years of service.

Never Ever
I bought actually trying to buy Fissler Cookware set and Pressure Cooker from this site and paid $860.00 Saw their rating was 3.33 but still didn't care and said to myself Canadian company went for it. November 26,2020 items were in stock minutes after I bought was out of stock few weeks later CookStore said items will be delivered around Xmas or beginning of January. In January they changed dates and I called no answer emailed them got an answer if I wanted refund or substitute with another items. I emailed again for refund got an answer it's backordered, shipping now bla bla bla. I called credit card company to dispute and got my money back in 2 weeks. Items I wanted is in stock now. Maybe they take people's money and use it in Stock Market who knows.

Five stars for both CookStore and Wolf countertop oven.
Doing business with CookStore makes one forget about Amazon real quick.
Not only was CookStore's price for the Wolf countertop oven more than 200 dollars less
Expensive than Amazon's, delivery beat Amazon Prime's usually late arrivals.
The package was at my door in less than 48 hours, in original manufacturer's packaging
And arrived in pristine condition. From the get go CookStore's service and expediency
Is first rate. As far as the Wolf countertop convection oven is concerned it is worth every
Cent of the price. First class materials and construction (at 50 pounds), solid as a tank,
Incredibly fast and even cooking at all settings, simple operation and beautiful to look at.
This product is the standard of excellence. CookStore and Wolf get Five Stars.
Neither one can be beaten in today's market place.
A sincere Thank You from one happy customer.

Worst Online Retailer Ever
I placed this order on May 13th, and was charged to my cc on May 17th for the order.
Even though my cc had already been charged, for some reason there was concern over my credit card details, a ticket was opened to confirm specific details about the credit card. After promptly replying to the ticket with all the necessary information, I received several calls from customer service to re-confirm my credit card details, again even though my credit card had been charged nearly a week prior to the initial ticket. I have never had this issue with any other online retailer, where I am being asked to confirm my phone number and address from the retailer.

Subsequent to providing all the information required, I was told that a customer service representative would be in-touch to confirm the status of the order and that it would ship shortly after. Over a week and a half has passed since this time, and it has been radio silent. I reached out to customer service multiple times, after which CookStore responded on June 1st that your order has been shipped. Since then it has been almost a month and I still have no work of when I am going to receive my shipment, they have sent me multiple tracking numbers, every day they are updated to state the product will arrive today however it never arrives. I spent over $1,000 on one order and have never faced such terrible customer service. I am left questioning why I didn't purchase directly from the supplier, given that their price point was the exact same. I would never recommend anyone to purchase anything from here.

Horrible Customer Service and Extreme Delivery Delays
I ordered two sets of vacuum seal bags from this company in January. I have had to call over 5 times to inquire about the status of the order, and have still not received anything. The company has never sent me an update about the pending order and never informed me one of my items was back ordered at the time of purchase or sent me an email after the purchase advising me of the back order. I've had to reach out and do all the leg work myself. Since it's been two months and I haven't received anything or proactive updates about the order I ask that the delivery fee be waived. CookStore have refused and I've asked for a supervisor to follow up several times and been promised a call back, but still haven't heard a word. I strongly suggest finding another company to place your order with.

Customer service provides no service order #100098879
Web site provides two methods of contacting customer support. Phone number most often directs to contact form on web site. Contact form ' answered within 48 hours sometimes as little as 2 hours'. Not my experience.
Multiple items in Order placed November 29th have still not been delivered. One item delivered, not as described on web site. Return requested and refund given.
Only phone phone call got through to agent. December 15 'remaining items have been shipped you should get them soon.' No email shipping notification, no tracking number. January 5th. Again phone call and chat site refer one to contact form. Cook's store apparently has 2,000 contact forms to respond to. This contact with Customer Service is now in its 38th day and without a tracking number I have no idea where the second shipment is. Really wanted to use Canadian Company rather than Amazon. Amazon at least answers the phone. I am exhausted.

The worst service, delays and lies!
I thoroughly regret placing an order with this company and wish I had seen these reviews instead of the perfect reviews on their own website. As others have mentioned here, CookStore took my money and waited weeks to hear back. After ordering the product, the next day April 3, I reached out to cancel but they said it has shipped and it wasn't possible. Weeks pass and many emails exchanged and I'm told they'll get me a tracking number shortly'. This is to buy time each time. Eventually I'm told the item I didn't want isn't even available and they offer another item. I agree. More time passes between exchanges though I ask for confirmation. I follow up on April 21 and I'm told they're checking on it. April 23 I get a shipment notification of the item I was told was out of stock and agreed to change to a different product. Ridiculous process, constant delays and lies to buy time and uncertain of the product is actually coming bc the tracking number isn't valid at this time. I will fight this and hope people learn that they are the worst!

This is the worst customer experience I've ever had online. I purchase a LOT of stuff online from all over the world as well. A LOT.

I purchased a Philips Latte Go super automatic espresso maker from here 17FEB21. It was showing as in stock at time of purchase. A few days later, I received correspondence informing me that the unit was in fact not in stock and it would be *approximately 2-4 weeks for delivery due to being backordered (covid was the excuse I received, which, let's face it, seemed legit). I was fine with that.

Fast forward to 1 week ago (11MAY21). I emailed customer service asking for a refund and cancellation and was told that this was not an option. This is the response I received:

"Hello ******,
Unfortunately, this was already sent to shipping, and as a result we cannot cancel this order. It is on the way and you will be receiving the tracking information shortly. We appreciate your understanding and if by chance there is anything else we can do for you in the meantime, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Thank you for your business and have a great day"

I have still not received tracking information. It has been 7 days. I again emailed customer service asking for their definition of "shortly", as it has been a week and still no tracking. Crickets. No response.

I then called cookstore's number and it went to voicemail when I selected the appropriate option (question about a previous order...). I then called back and selected the option to place a new order. I got someone on the other line! I then asked some questions about ordering the SAME unit, and was told that CookStore were not in stock, but if I placed an order, it 'should' arrive in 2-4 weeks. I then questioned the 'should' comment, and more forward-looking statements were made about delivery. I then asked when the last order was made for these units. I got a very strange response that didn't make any sense, so I came clean about making the order back in February, and was met with much hostility on the other end of the phone.

I then gave the person 2 options: Either, 1: provide me with proof that my item is on the way, or, 2: refund my money, or I will be contacting my CC company and have the transaction disputed and ultimately cancelled, and subsequently inform the BBB of your unacceptable business practices. The person on the other end of the phone told me that there was nothing they could do for me, and ended up hanging up on me. I 100% know for a fact that any legitimate business can and will refund CC purchases with no issue especially in situations like this. It is fully within their capability.

They charged my card without having goods to ship. After reading the reviews on this site and seeing the pictures here, it is very obvious to me that this company drop ships, as well as sells refurbished goods and advertises them as new to unsuspecting consumers. They wait until they find a refurbished unit, and then pass it on to the customer.

I'm insulted. I refuse to take being scammed by a scam company laying down.

I really hope this review helps someone in the future. Please don't deal with this place.

60 days and no shipment
Ordered TWO pans during black friday sale. None of them were listed as out of stock or backordered. I got notified within a week or so that there was a delay with one of the items but CookStore would ship soon. One month later I emailed to complain. They responded by identifying which item was not available (yet) to ship. I asked that they ship the available one in the meantime (at their cost) or refund the whole order. No answer. Another two weeks go by and I get a generic email saying it has been a long time and if I prefer I can get a refund. I respond to say yes, give me a refund (or as I previously stated, send me the one pan that's available). It has been two weeks and no response. Two months after my order was placed and nothing has shipped, and no refund. What a joke.
