Not All Cash Back Sites Are The Same
It's true, there are a lot of cash back sites out there these days but CouponCabin are not all alike. They don't all carry offers for every retailer, the cash back percentage can differ from site to site, as well as the discounts/special offers.

What sets couponcabin.com apart are two factors.
There are exclusive 'members-only' bonus cash back offers. Now, be aware that you can only choose one 'members-only' offer each month but there are a lot of gems to choose from. They can be as simple as a high-value grocery coupon to getting your order for free! Example: Get $150 cash back at [store website]. Com, when you purchase $150 or more.
As a CouponCabin VIP member, you earn an additional 3% bonus cash back on almost all cash back orders you place. There is no fee to be a VIP.
(I suggest everyone read terms for all details.)

My only wish is that I could take advantage of the offers more often but I'm on a limited budget; which is a HUGE reason why I look for savings & cash back whenever I can; & I do!

Blocked My Account for giving 2 Stars to Coupon Cabin
CouponCabin just removed my Membership and blocked my Account after giving 2 Star review on Trustpilot. I wrote my real experience how annoying that cash back process and how i was wasting my time to claim the bonus which is always shows "All Gone". One day suddenly my access was Restricted and i requested them to unblock my account and they did not responded and may be two days later i got a email from Tyler J.
Vice President of VIP Member Services, saying that, "you are frustrated with Coupon Cabin and you gave bad review on Coupon Cabin so we are cancelling your Membership and permanently blocking your account" This is how they frustrated with my review. Horrible site! Horrible Customer Care!
Coupon cabin not ready to accept their problems and not ready to receive honest feedback from their member's. When i talked to my friend she told her bad experience with Coupon Cabin. I don't know after this review how they going to Block my Blocked account lol..

Totally Worth It.
If your skeptical about the legitimacy's of Coupon Cabin's cash back/discounts/etc and or think it's a waste of your time, your going to be pleasantly surprised. I have a problem about buying anything at full price. It's practically equivalent to being called a sucker. Who doesn't do a quick search for a promo code before CouponCabin click that last button to confirm the order? Well, I changed up my process a bit and my $95.20 in Amazon gift card rewards proves it totally worth using Coupon Cabins site when searching for those promo codes. Look at my photo and you'll see a screen shot of my rewards account. I've been a member since 12/17 and I'd rate my online shopping amount to "average" for the typical late 30's female. To clarify, even if your a guy, older, or younger, it doesn't matter, because the bottom line is,
If your looking for a promo code you obviously want a discount, and Coupon Cabin, just like any other discount/promo code website (ahem, Retailmenot) has the same promo codes out there BUT, Coupon Cabin has the best by far cash back rewards. The small "change" I mentioned earlier is that I go to Coupon Cabins website first and do a search for the place I want to order from. 9x out of 10, I find the online retailer listed, promo code, and an extra way to earn cash back from them. The only time I didn't find the online retailer was because it was an oddball item sold by a specialty store. If your still skeptical double check when you place an online order, I do sometimes just to make sure there isn't a better deal out there. Hypothetically, if you say I placed 95 online orders through Coupon Cabin since my 12/17 membership, I've earned $95.20 in rewards, which is equivalent to earning $1 per order. Technically, it's $1 per min of my time, since that's really all it takes to type Coupon Cabin and search "promo code for xxxx store." Basically, the time it takes you to read this review. Even better, I didn't place 95 online orders, it was way less and more like 20 using Coupon Cabin. I just used 95 as an example for the hypothetical because really who doesn't want to earn a dollar a minute? Even if your making more than $60 an hour it just proves the point that your time is valuable.

Coupon Cabin is a Fantastic Way to Save Money, also Earn Some!
I've been shopping with Coupon Cabin for some time now and as long as you go through their Website which is CouponCabin.com you will save, earn money. I do probably 98% of my shopping Online and I go through CouponCabin.com mostly always as CouponCabin have so many Businesses that I purchase from with Online promotions, and sales events etc,, They have coupons for In Store also and Freebies as they call them. They check to see if the promotional codes, discounts work ahead of time and if you purchase from one of their Businesses and there's a situation like the code wouldn't go through, or the discount wouldn't apply and or anything else and after contacting their Customer Service they are very professional and make every attempt to answer, explain and if needed and if was a valid promotion that didn't work they will compensate you in other ways to address your concerns! I've been extremely pleased with CouponCabin.com as they are legit and also compensate you for your purchases, promotions used through them! Remember to Open their Website and put in the search area any Businesses that you are wanting to shop at and the codes, discounts will show up and then a link to the Business you want to shop at will be loaded and then your on your way to save, earn money just for shopping at your Favorite, or any Businesses that they have available for you to shop at. I hope you're as happy for using CouponCabin.com, because instead of just saving through a Business you shop at you can benefit by going through CouponCabin.com as you will receive, earn so much more and especially if you become a VIP you earn 20% more on top of your already percentage that you would earn from that Business as CouponCabin.com will reward you with more just for shopping through them! I Love Saving Money, then again I really Love Earning It Too!

Too good to be true
I came across this website about a year ago as CouponCabin had cashback for a store that no other cashback website offered. I created an account and started receiving emails with the bonus cashback offers which were amazing. It took a while to be able to catch them as they were limited quantities but I made quite a few orders and received a lot of cashback without any problems. I am very careful about cashback websites terms so I told the rest of my family who lived with me that I have an account open so no one else should open one. However, I told my sister who is married and lives out of state to open an account as I had made $100s of dollars in cashback. She had been using it for a while and then she came to our house to visit. While here, she used my computer and placed a couponcabin order. Couponcabin closed both of or accounts and claimed we had violated the terms of using multiple accounts under the same IP address. I told them to look up our accounts and youll see that were in different states but they just send back the same email that I violated the terms with multiple accounts. When I responded again, they didnt even answer so I looked for a phone number to call them to sort this out and now see that there is none. What reputable company wouldnt have a phone number for customer service? I am extremely disappointed that they are not hearing me out that we are two different people who dont live together at all and she just happened to once use my network not with the intention of circumventing the terms. Only now did I see that lots of people have experienced this too.

No clue at all
I haven't a clue how this will pay me in any way based on the confusing (for an over 60 guy like me) reportage CouponCabin do, but no matter. Regardless if i get some payout or not, the paths i've found VIA coupon cabin have save me hundreds of dollars (more than 2, but less than 8, SO FAR, in my 75% gut-renovation and interior design project that is my home.). If i actually recieve the cash back and all the bennies coupon cabin projects, i'll write a less qualified review, because the payout apperas o take a long time to follow. Though i must say, i all honesty, that i have no reason to think they won't. Almost spent $195 on a desired object i'd seen for 325 on 2 other popular sites this morning, and paid less than $110USD for said object on the CC portal. This has occurred many times over during the last two weeks as i detail my condo in exurban PS, CA area. Great deals means great value to me, cash back or not... nearly savings enough to buy the soft leather chair i'd lusted after from a posh national retailer ( and did purchase yesterday). Sorry if this sounds a little overblown... i'm just a retired ad agency guy who loves great things at great prices, and wants to share that info. Kudos to CC.

Something has changed in their company - they are no longer safe
I wouldn't give this company any stars if that was possible. CouponCabin used to be good, but something changed in their company last year.

I made ~$200 in purchases in good faith and followed Coupon Cabin guidelines. Now they are keeping my ~$200 plus the money they already received on my behalf from the merchants. While my purchases met the requirements for rebate, coupon cabin closed my account because I questioned them for asking for actual photos of my driver's license (someone recently stole my credit card number through this method). They responded on BBB that they promptly reply to questions and accept 6 other forms of proof of residency, but now they are ignoring my communication. The last communication I received from them said I should write to their company and wait a minimum of 3 weeks for a reply. And now they won't respond to me at all! So it appears that they are replying with false information on various sites to prevent poor ratings. I am simply asking for my nearly $200 that I am entitled to. As it is, they have been paid by merchants and they are also keeping my ~$200. I filed with the attorney general and encourage others who are experiencing this problem to do the same. Coupon Cabin needs to be shut down now to protect consumers. Coupon cabin reps will tell you they accept other forms of ID for verification but when I tried to communicate with them to submit the forms they kept posting their original statement insisting again that they require my drivers license. They're playing cat and mouse games with me - saying one thing online in response to public complaints, but then making completely different demands from me when they communicate with me directly. They continue to demand my drivers license from me when they communicate with me.

Change my 1 star review for a 4 star
So. CouponCabin give you few times real cash back then you start to turst them n claim more unnecessary spend because its cash back more. Then boom. Your account is deactivated for violating their rules? Okay. So this mean you actually didn't get cash back as their promise for quite a long time since some cash back pending like months before it could actually give you! Those buy 40 get 40 back won't even let you use stores normal coupon. Which means. You quit your normal coupons then they ban you. You actually lose money by using coupon cabin. I try to ask them if I can get my over a hundred cash back the only answer they give me is your account is deactivated. Lame!

--------------
Above is previous review but after they paid off all my pending cash back after they officially ban me. I think it's fair to give them a 4 star.
Only thing to be aware is ONLY 1 ACCOUNT FOR ONE HOUSEHOLD OR SAME IP! I don't know if that's my problem why they deactivated my account. I know my SIL have an account but she barely use it anyway I was told anything attached with my name or address will be banned from using their web. So sad wish they make theirs rules clear enough or warn you before they close you.

Top rate operation--Hidden gem
I used CouponCabin originally when looking for coupon codes for individual purchases. Along the way, I read on the site that I could initiate an account and earn money back on purchases I make at stores I select. All I need to do is click through my account on the Coupon Cabin site. I like a deal but what is even more incredible is that often on the site, I receive a coupon code for a deal or $ off a qualified purchase PLUS I get the designated % of the purchase in cash back. It is like double dipping but without any guilt!

Another point to emphasize is 'don't limit your expectations on what 'stores' are participating in CC'... I earned quite a bit of cash back by setting up my Xfinity account through CC.

If the deal aspect is not enough, CouponCabin's customer service is amazing--personal, knowledgeable and very prompt. This is a top rate operation and a hidden gem!

I have been telling my adult children about it for several years. One called me that other day to ask if I knew any deals on contact lenses... I convinced him to set up his own CC account. HE DID and ended up getting a good deal on lenses and will earn cash back--a convert!

I'm getting money on things I needed to purchase already. Love it!
I have nothing but good things to say about the customer service end of CouponCabin.com. Obviously, no business or online website is without it's issues or hiccups, and couponcabin is no exception BUT on the several occasions I have had to contact them, I receive a VERY prompt response. It's not just a "pat" answer meant to appease the customer and save the company money and time. NO. It is a personal note from a REAL person that directly answers every question/issue/concern I have had.
I tend to be very skeptical but have found satisfaction at every corner from CouponCabin customer service reps. Yes, I have had to wait 30+ days for some money to be posted, but all the while of waiting, customer service emails that CouponCabin are still working on the problem. It is SO reassuring. They make money while WE make money, so it behooves them to be on our side of resolving things.
DEFinitely, download the little button (I don't know the technical term) to make it easier to find the sites that give cashback! That way, instead of going to couponcabin first every time, like I did for months!, a little pop-up window appears when you are on the site itself, making it impossible to miss the opportunity to get your cashback. Just click on it and you're done. PLUS, when you are google searching something, you will easily see which ones give cashback as well.
Really, you can't lose. I've been to a few other site (Ebates, Upromise) and though they are all very similar, I'm really impressed at the sheer amount of options through couponcabin. For instance, you can choose cashback OR just the coupon code, which is how I originally found the site, searching for a promo code. I love that it is MY decision as to which deal I choose to use.

Thank you, couponcabin! I love your site and love your customer service even more.

Closing my account just for submitting an inquiry to get my cashback!
Their customer service is not helpful at all. CouponCabin will close your account just because submitting an inquiry to get your missing cashback that their system did NOT catch it! EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO SUBMIIT YOUR INQUIRY TO LET THEM KNOW ABOUT THEIR SYSTEM'S FAULT, THEY DO NOT WANT TO BOTHER TO OPEN AN INVESTIGATION FOR YOU TO GET YOUR CASHBACK! Now I know that someone from their customer service department will reply to this review and will say "WE ALREADY EXPLAINED OUR REASON TO CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT" I already read a lot of reviews and I regret every second I spent on their website! They think they're the only company in the cashback industry! Sorry! There's MILLIONS of companies and they provide better cashback than your company does! Thank you for giving me the chance to look for another company who can give better rates for cashback as well as they care about their customers satisfactions. Just remember that WITHOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PAY YOUR EMPLOYEES SALARIES! So RESPECT YOUR CUSTOMER AND DO NOT BE MAD JUST BECAUSE YOUR CUSTOMER HAS THE RIGHT TO OPEN AN INVESTIGATION WHEN YOUR SYSTEM FAILED TO CATCH THEIR CASHBACK!

Blames technical shortcomings on customers
I made the mistake of recommending CouponCabin to my boyfriend. He checked his newly created account from two different computers, and each one of these computers was on a separate network. All of a sudden, his entire account was deactivated, and all the money in it was forfeited. CouponCabin needs to invest some dollars in its technical infrastructure so that it does not penalize members who happen to check their account from different computers. Members can have one account, yet happen to use different networks; for example, if CouponCabin are traveling, or at the library, a school, or a cafe. It's just inevitable. As a result of these lackluster technical capabilities of CouponCabin, my boyfriend lost out on the $126 cashback amount he was due in just a few days. He can't even log into his account to see what purchases he was credited with. This is a really shady way for CouponCabin to do business- by blaming its technical shortcomings on its customers.

Will Literally Lie to State Attorney General's Office to Avoid Payment
So I had previously filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office of Indiana. I provided them with documentation proving that I had earned money with CouponCabin and that their customer service agent made clear that I did not violate their Terms and Conditions in the process. Further, my documentation showed that my account was terminated because I stated a legal concern regarding their lack of transparency.

This is CouponCabin's response to my complaint:

"... we have stated that [my] use of the site and our Cash Back program triggered a number of red flags as sharing characteristics with history user behavior that misused and exploited the program to gain cash back beyond the rules and normal functioning of the program. These security systems have been implemented to protect the Cash Back program from fraudsters and those seeking to game the program and manipulate its normal functioning to accrue undeserved cash back amounts.

In addition to the termination of [my] account due to his abusive and derogatory communications, the legitimacy of the pending cash back in his account was called into question by our security systems. CouponCabin has broad discretion to make
Determinations regarding misuse or exploitation of the Cash Back program... we have wide latitude to protect our business and our Cash Back program against potential misuse and fraudulent activity.

Because [my] account is now terminated as a result of his violations of our Terms and Conditions, and because the pending cash back in his account has been called into question, we are unable to issue... the payment he is demanding."

This statement is in direct contradiction to what CouponCabin's customer service agent said to me prior to, and after, my account was terminated.

First, in regards to my account termination, here is what the customer service agent, said:

"Given your desire to seek legal action, we feel that the best course is to close your account and issue a final payment for the cash back you have pending."

Second, in regards to their concerns about me committing fraud, this is what the CSR had to say when I first contacted customer service:

"Our security system has detected what it deems unnatural activity originating from your account and/or computer network and as a result, your account is eligible for check payments only... and that your account remains in good standing and is open for you to earn cash back as you normally would."

At no point would the CSR elaborate on what this "unnatural activity" was, nor has anyone else. In any case, CouponCabin very clearly did not deem my account to have accrued money by committing fraud, otherwise they would have terminated my account because
Of that and stated that I would not receive my money because of these concerns. However, the CSR plainly stated that my account was in good standing, and that I would receive my money. Therefore, CouponCabin's lawyer very clearly lied to the Attorney General's Office in Indiana just to avoid paying a measly $76.86, which I lawfully earned.

Also, at no point had anyone from CouponCabin told me that they were concerned about fraud. I don't know how much clearer it can be that this company steals money from its members and has not qualms about lying to the authorities, even when there is
Evidence contradicting them.

If you have a legitimate complaint against this company, I urge you to file it, and include documentation, with the AG offices of Indiana and Illinois. I believe that the only way anyone is going to do anything about this company is if enough people file complaints.

Their Terms and Conditions make it basically impossible to sue them in Small Claims Court because the case has to be filed in Lake County, IN, which is an onerous burden. The same is true for arbitration. Unfortunately, our laws have not caught up to the internet age. If you have a problem with a local company, you can sue the local company in your local court. However, with these companies that operate online only, they can write their Terms so that you can only file in one location. Justice is simply impossible. How much money would a company like CouponCabin have to owe someone living in, say, California, to make it worthwhile for the person living in California to fly to Lake County, IN in order to appear in court? It's ridiculous. There is basically no oversight in regards to these companies. They can lie with impunity to government officials even when documentation is sitting right there that clearly contradicts their lies. Maybe there's some mechanism that obligates these companies to at least respond to the AG's office, but the office has no teeth, so all they can do is put the issue into a permanent file. Maybe if enough people file complaints they can do something.

Even if they can't though, filing the complaints is still worthwhile. Why? It forces the lawyer to have to respond to the claims. I suggest that if you do have a complaint, send the formal letter to the lawyer demanding your money, and also file complaints with the BBB and with the AG offices of Indiana and Illinois. You may not get your money back, but at least this company will be spending money paying their lawyer to lie.

Good for regular cash back, but their scammy $100 back deals ruined it for me
All was going well, CouponCabin didn't always have the most cash back compared to a couple of other plug ins, but most of the time they actually did... that was until I actually looked around their site and saw the promos for super limited basically twice a year max per member $100 cash back off a purchase of $100 or more you have to be quick to grab when they become available. Well, I finally snagged one, and only then saw how limited it was, with all kinds of max yearly payouts limits. I jumped through all the hoops, used only a coupon code from them directly, disabled my ad blocker and they STILL invented a reason to deny me the $100 cash back by saying I was using an ad blocker when I've always disabled it and it's worked fine. Now, I'm stuck returning the order at my own shipping cost. This is what they claim what the store I ordered from said, Puritan Vitamins, so they are even worse in all this, but CC should say in their terms they can't guarantee cash back at all if you have any ad blocker installed onto your browser. Mine was disabled, it showed cash back was active from them when I submitted the order, but nope, never got the confirmation. Tried to contact them the first day I could raise a case and was quickly told that since I had used an ad blocker Puritan wasn't going to pay them so I'm out of luck and that's final. Well, I wasn't happy and used a single expletive not even directed at any one, so they threatened to close my account with my current balance sent so I happily accepted. Just stick to Rakuten, Honey, and WikiBuy, they at least don't pull this on you.

Edit: They did follow through and sent me my total balance, which didn't include the $100, but did include cash back for a couple of items I returned and the cash back hadn't dropped off yet, so they do get credit for following through and cashing me out. Feel free to use them for regular percentage based cash back, just avoid their big promos.

If you earn a lot of cashback, CouponCabin freezes your account and won't pay you - proof below
Jan 16.2020, update to my original review: Couponcabin responded to my review, CONFIRMING that it is in their terms & conditions to withhold your cashback (never send you payment) whenever CouponCabin feel like it. Couponcabin will tell you that it is a "security issue" and in order to be considered for receiving payment, you need to provide your social security number (see ReviewFeeder review from customer who reported this demand from couponcabin), your driver license, and private data. The reason data is "private" is because it can be sold and your identity stolen.

Some kind ReviewFeeder user suggested I report couponcabin to the FTC. As couponcabin stated, it is in their terms & conditions to make these demands for your personal data. I don't think the FTC can do anything for me, or for you when you couponcabin keeps your cashback.

I am not going to hand over my personal data to receive my $153 of cashback. It really infuriates me that couponcabin pocketed the commissions from Neiman Marcus, Saks, and others off of my purchases.

I cannot go back in time and undo my decision to give them my business. I can only hope that my experience will prevent you from losing your earned cashback with couponcabin.

Believe CouponCabin at their own words: it is in their Terms & Condition to withhold your cashback, never pay you, unless you hand over your social security number, picture of your drivers license, picture of state issue ID.

I suggest you use rakuten (ebates.com) I have never had any issues with them. I've attached my history of cashback from ebates as proof. Yes, I got snookered by couponcabin's toooooo good to be true deals. I hope this review saves you the aggravation - stay away from couponcabin.

Bad, Bizarre Customer Support Will Eventually Hassle You To Receive Checks Instead Of PayPal
CouponCabin's customer support will eventually hassle you about how you need to start receiving checks instead of PayPal. Very, very dumb. Dumbest thing ever. Check out Ebates, BeFrugal, and RetailMeNot. Effortless customer service and PayPal payments. If you use CouponCabin, you risk having your account held hostage until you agree to start receiving checks instead of PayPal. Waste of time when it's so easy to use multiple competing sites that offer the same or better deals, and don't have incompetent policies and customer service. CouponCabin might seem to work at the start, but trust me, you're risking a big waste of time and a nominal amount of pending payments when later on CouponCabin start to hassle you about how you need to start receiving checks. The other sites are, of course, easy to use. In the end, probably my only regret was that I didn't tell CouponCabin how truly dumb and incompetent they were being, in light of all their competent competition. The other positive reviews here? Don't be deceived. CouponCabin nags its members by email to leave positive reviews at three different review sites. In other words, these people didn't come here by their own volition to leave an objective review. They were nagged into it. Furthermore, these reviewers definitely haven't reached the point where they're told they need to switch from PayPal to checks! At some point I'm sure they will, but by then they'll have forgotten about the positive review they were nagged into leaving here.

I love this site and use it constantly online and off!
This site is amazing! It is available on PC or apps for phones and tablets. I have to say I started slowly... I think the first month I got $2.00 back and maybe saved $15.00 with in store coupons. This month I am due to have $60.00 posted in my PayPal account. That was from booking my trip and other things bought online. Keep in mind that this doesn't count the other $30.00 or $40.00 I've saved by downloading printable/scannable coupons while shopping IN the stores. ONLINE you can stack any coupons with Penny's coupons, Sears/Kmart shop your way POINTS and Kohl's cash to name a few. In the store you just present the downloaded coupon and go. For example I purchased a $400.00 grill at Kmart for my husband. It was on sale and between the coupon I found on Couponcabin and my Shoppers Points I ended up spending $287.00 including tax! I even had an extra coupon that helped the lady in line behind me save $30.00 on a grill she was buying!
JUST TRY IT. You have nothing to lose because it costs nothing to sign up! Another great feature is als if you don't have a PayPal account they'll send you a check.

If I could give no star... I would!
Stay away from this sketchy company! CouponCabin refuse to give me a legit reason for deactivating my account!

Coupon Cabin has the worst customer service on the planet! Stick to the more well-known cash back sites like Ebates or Mr. Rebates that have superior customer service! This company doesn't like to pay-out on cash back you've earned if it's a large amount! Beware of this shady business at all costs. You'll be happier for it!

Edited: I'm left with no choice but to report them to the BBB! They refused to pay me my cash back money! This is how tacky this company is:

Send a formal demand letter, wait 30 days, then file in Small Claims Court or Arbitration
CouponCabin terminated my account in Jan. 16th after I expressed a legal concern regarding their lack of transparency. I've been trying to collect the money I had earned that had not yet paid out ever since. If you've been following along with this saga, I had sent a formal demand letter to CouponCabin's legal department around the beginning of March, but after 30 days, I still had not heard back, which is when I posted my previous update. Two days later, however, CouponCabin's lawyer, *, overnighted me a response letter.

The response letter essentially stated that CouponCabin would not communicate with me except through a lawyer and/or through the Small Claims Court and/or binding arbitration processes due to my repeated threats of legal action. Of course, this is a gross mischaracterization of statements made by me regarding legal action. There was, in fact, only a potential threat of legal action in the event that CouponCabin did not pay me the money owed. If they paid that money, I'd have no reason to seek legal action. This letter, and in particular one that * sent to the Illinois Attorney General's office in response to a complaint I made, contained what I will diplomatically refer to as factual errors. In neither case did * make any mention whatsoever of the money owed me or my attempts to collect and seemed to feign ignorance of my objective.

Regardless, I did attempt to reach out to * in order to settle the matter amicably outside of court. He provided an email address to which I could direct communication from my attorney (as though anyone is going to hire an attorney to collect $76.86). I made clear that what I wanted was the money owed to me, at which point I would let the matter rest.

I pointed out to him (again) that CouponCabin informed me on Jan. 15th that I was owed money, and their own customer service representative, *, also informed me that I was owed this money. Further, * also stated that my account was in good standing despite whatever security issue caused my account to no longer be able to be paid out via Paypal. This is particularly important when you examine their Terms and Conditions. Section 3 of the Terms and Conditions, specifically paragraph III, "Termination of Your Membership," states: "If your membership is terminated by CouponCabin, CouponCabin may refuse to pay some or all of the amounts credited to your account if such amounts appear or are suspected (as determined in the sole and exclusive discretion of CouponCabin) to have been earned in violation, or after violation, of these Terms or to have been otherwise unlawfully obtained." Based on *s statement, they did not believe that I had violated their T&C in earning this money. * even informed me that a check would be forthcoming. Therefore, CouponCabin is in violation of their own T&C.

CouponCabin seems to have no problem using their T&C as a weapon against consumers, but when it applies to them, they have little regard for it. It is my opinion that they are betting that most people will not put in the time and effort to go to court or arbitration in order to recoup small sums of money. I wonder how many accounts they've terminated without paying out what those account holders were owed. I would not be surprised to find this to be a significant source of income for them.

So, what options are available now? Clearly they have no interest in acting in good faith. They won't communicate with me, and they've avoided any mention of money as though they were allergic to it. There are two primary courses of action. First, I can sue in Small Claims Court. It would cost about $90 plus some additional expenses related to serving CouponCabin. However, if I were to win, I could recover these expenses from CouponCabin. Other people in my situation may not want to choose Small Claims Court, though, because of location. I think you'd have to either live in Illinois or Indiana or go to one of those states to file.

The other option is arbitration. CouponCabin's T&C make this option seem equally unappealing because they state that you'd have to do this in Lake County, IN. However, JAMS, the arbitration company, specifically states that the consumer must be allowed to take part in choosing the arbiter, and they must also be allowed to have the venue take place in their hometown. So, despite what CouponCabin's T&C state, if you want to file an arbitration claim, it should not matter where you live. The filing fee is $250, however if you win CouponCabin will have to pay it. Additionally, CouponCabin has to pay several thousand dollars in fees to the arbitration company to have JAMS process the claim and arbitrate it. I don't know CouponCabin's record when it comes to these sorts of cases, but it is entirely possible that if you were to file and arbitration claim, CouponCabin may opt to settle with you rather than pay all of these fees to JAMS. So, if you've got a good case, you may wish to go this route. Perhaps if enough people did, CouponCabin might choose to change their practices.

Additionally, I highly recommend you file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office in Illinois. They will probably tell you that they aren't going to do anything, but perhaps if enough people complain, they will have no choice but to take the issue seriously and investigate this company.

Such a scam!
I have actually been a longtime member of Couponcabin and have used it to save at least a couple of hundred dollars over two years, which is nothing to be scoffed at. However, CouponCabin have a very faulty technical system and that is coupled with a less than optimal customer service team.

1) Couponcabin has a rule about not allowing members of a household to avail of the "members only" offers. Which is a confusing rule to begin with because it's not like members of a household would confer with each other every time they are making a purchase. Especially once you install the couponcabin sidekick app which reminds you to check their offerings before you shop.

2) Their system of identifying so-called violators of their terms is by using IP addresses. This is EXTREMELY problematic given how many people might be using the website at coffeeshops or other public places. Or, in my case, using a building wifi. How IP can be a reliable way of determining household is beyond me.

3) I was recently blocked from Couponcabin and had my account permanently closed. Their reason was that multiple members of the same household availed of their special offers. At the same time that my account was shut, they also shut the account of a friend in my building. As I explained to Couponcabin, us using the same wifi is not the same as us living in the same household. That is an absurd claim. They then emailed both of us saying that we had opened multiple other accounts using the same IP address. Which, of course, we hadn't. Shouldn't the existence of a number of accounts at the same IP suggest that many people are in fact using it and therefore it is probably a public wifi?

4) While couponcabin paid me most of my pending balance, they refused to extend the same courtesy to my friend from the building. So the friend whom I referred to Couponcabin is now out a bunch of money that he spent upon my referral. This is grossly unfair to both him and me. I do not understand why they would apply the rules differentially like this.

We have exchanged many back and forths with the Couponcabin customer service team, and frankly, they only reply with rather curt and rude scripted emails. They do not respond to specific questions and explanations.

I would not say that you shouldn't use Couponcabin, but if you do, be extremely careful. Otherwise you might end up spending a lot of money thinking you are getting a good deal and end up having spent more than you might have otherwise. Simply because Couponcabin decides to rescind its coupon to you.

I also expect that if at all they reply to this complaint, it will be in the standard "we have very few rules" script that they have already used in response to other similar reviews on ReviewFeeder. I find this kind of customer service, without regard to longterm users, to be rather shocking in today's day and age of excellent customer service.

I'd also like to add, as a final point, that it is rather insulting on the part of Couponcabin to assume that some people might have the time and energy in their lives to set up endless Couponcabin accounts just to "violate their terms and condition". The simpler answer must be that their identification system is so patently faulty.
