I was pleased with the program until I finished paying $1.95 for a 14 day trial. Once I submitted payment, I noticed I was also charged $9.95 for Professional Resume Review, which I did not select. I immediately contacted customer service. Ener, the representative that I spoke to was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in resolving the issue. He sent me an email to confirm that my subscription had been cancelled and a credit would be issued within a couple of days. He also emailed me attachemnts of my cover letter because it would not download from the site. He was very kind and understanding of my frustration. Ener deserves a raise! :) The cover letter templates were just what I was looking for. I will be watching my bank account for the reimbursement.

I don't think people would be good with your services because your company take me 39.80$ of my account. When I notice that I called you immediately and your answers. Very apologize with you because you called after billing date. I am very disappointed and feel ripped off by you I never recommend this company to anyone. Even when Cover Letter Now have so many excuses in order to get your refund. Do you want be a Big company? Take seriously when costumer don't want your services and gave them your money back and respect their decisions made.

Cover Letter Now tricked me in to buying a subscription. All I needed was a quick cover letter and their site said I could get one free. After completing my cover letter and hitting the only option "Save and Next Step" took me to the purchase access page which led me to believe I HAD to purchase it! The top of the page listed steps, 1Create Letter(which is already checked), 2Choose Access, 3Enter Payment Details, and 4Finished. It was late, I was tired and on a deadline so I paid the $2 and then it took to me build a resume instead of print my cover letter. I had no idea if it even saved. I was tricked in to paying that fee as it was NOT necessary to save my cover letter. I did not know how to retrieve my cover letter and subsequently missed my deadline. It says you will be refunded if not happy so I emailed them for one. All they said was that they cancelled my subscription from renewing after the 14 days, but still have my cc info on their site. I've read several reviews on another site stating they keep charging people after they've cancelled subscriptions. So now I'm out the $2, did not get my cover letter on time, and may have further hell to pay with recurring charges. Don't be fooled like I was!

I used this service to write an amazing resume and cover letter to land my dream job. I am truly beyond satisfied with this service, as it made an otherwise laborious task very easy! I decided to cancel my subscription only because I felt I no longer needed these services so close to retirement. I contacted a customer service representative (Juan Morales) via chat to assist me with the process, and he was amazing! Friendly, cordial, knowledgable, and made sure I knew every option available to continue with my subscription if I so desired. He was thorough but never pushy and went above and beyond in making the process comfortable and personal. I give Cover-Letter-Now 5 stars, and Juan 6 stars for being a superstar! Thank you for providing this service! I am so glad I took the step I needed to, when I needed to, and it worked so well for me!

As the reviews show. You absolutely suck. I will be filing a complaint about your lousy business practices with the Better Business Bureau! I paid $1.95 for your cover letter and no where in their did it show that you were going to start charging my account 38.90 a month and you can look to confirm I have not used your service not even logged on once. Then then bank coding isn't specific to show who is charging you, If I had not looked on my bank statement you would continue charging me and you are not providing me any service. I hope you enjoy the $38.90 X 3 because when I am done telling everyone about your dishonest business practices and lack of customer service that will be all you get.

This is the second time I've used their services. It's so EASY to use, anyone could follow along. I HATE doing cover letters, they're such a pet peeve of mine for some reason. Cover Letter Now makes it so effortless. And I love how you can download them into Word or PDF, so you can just change out the name of the company and the basics of the job, but keep the guts intact if it's relevant to save time.

For the service and what it does for me, the price is perfect. If it helps me land an $80,000 a year job, paying $19.99 per month is peanuts. If anyone thinks that's overpriced then go somewhere else and quit your $#*!in'.

My husband and I spent a rather large portion of our time with the assumption that if there was a fee, it would have been clearer at the start. Needless to say we are not pleased. Also, I had to only get the 14 day trial rather than the month for $7.95 and not be told on the next screen JUST KIDDING ITS 95.00$'s... we more than likely would have been much more interested and appreciate the transparency...

Hi. I accidentally ordered the yearly subscription to this service, when what I really wanted was the monthly service. I immediately called Cover-Letter-Now and the representative was friendly and knowledgeable. My yearly subscription was cancelled and a refund issue during our conversation. Additionally, Cover Letter Now offered me a discount off of the monthly charge posted on their website. I am very pleased with their customer service and would suggest them to anyone needing resume and cover letter assistance.

Once I was able to connect with someone who didn't hang up on me I dealt with Isela Rojas who was very helpful. I dealt also with a "Jeff" or Geoff yesterday who would just hang up on me as soon as i said I wanted to cancel. Only when I said the word cancel, it was like, oh bad connection and then hang up on me. Btw, there was no bad connection and this is terrible to do a customer. I sure hope Geoff has not been trained to do theis as some type of training / stalling tactic. In any event I need to cancel and cant get through now. Please call me at *******424

I stumbled upon this website and was immediately impressed with the trial service Cover Letter Now provide. Their options of both cover letters and resume's are impressive and truly easy to navigate through. For this reason and the fact the professional and immediate customer service, I decided to keep it for a month. Family and friends will also find it useful. Thank you for the fantastic service!

I've been a member of Cover Letter Now for around 4 years. I credit their services for helping me get tons of interviews and offers for all of those 4 years. I recently needed to print out an updated resume for an employer that I applied for a while back. I ended up paying the sub fee so I could update and download the updated resume. I eventually chatted in to get a refund since that's all I really needed was 1 resume. I did get a pro-rated refund and the customer service agent was very helpful in getting me that refund. I would have liked a full refund, but totally understand as I didn't cancel right away. Plus, as I stated earlier, the service has been great and has provided me with great looking resumes and cover letters.

My bank noticed a double charge, and flagged them for review. Cover Letter Now processed one and cancelled the other. Due to the second charge being cancelled, Coverletternow stopped using my card for payment. I reached out to customer service, they said I just needed to use a new card as going forward, my previous card was blocked from use.

I probably should have just moved on, but I needed a new cover letter and I had used them once in the past, so I knew what I was getting, and didn't want to have to find someone new when I needed the letter ASAP.

Fast forward a few months when my card expired, and I had to update my payments on all my accounts I used the card on. I tried updating the account with the new card, but it was declined for processing. I tried 3 other cards, all came up with an "issue with processing" so I contacted customer service.

The person was polite, but couldn't fix the issue as my account, which had been upgraded to monthly payments, was permanently closed. So they basically took my money for over a year, for a total of 2 cover letters, and a reformatted resume. Then closed my account without any notification. I can no longer use what I have paid for, and while I should have used it more to get my money's worth out of it, it is very frustrating that I had to find out my account was closed via updating my card.

Not the CSR's fault, but if I had known they would lock my account when they unsuccessfully tried to use an expired card, I would not have used them. The entire point of using an online service for this, is for it to be hassle free.

I signed up for a 14 day trial for $1.89. After that I called to cancel my trial so I don't get charged any more money, the girl claims to have cancelled my account and then 5 minutes later I get an email saying " Thank you for your MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION, you will be charged $3 every month" I called again, and was put on hold for over 20 minutes. Never again will I sign up for anything with this company cause its a huge scam and Cover Letter Now lie to their customers. I was told my account was cancelled but in reality I was signed up for $3 a month subscription.

I needed to write a resignation letter for a prestigious law firm. My boss asked me for a formal written one. Expecting I should have already had it done... I was in a time crunch! (considering I'm a paralegal I could have drafted my own just by doing some research) BUT I didn't have the time... the wording needed to be just right because my future employers would be calling and tadah my letter would be in my file. I found Cover-Letter-Now and it was a huge LIFE SAVER! I drafted it in about 10-15 minutes. Yes I paid $1 or $2. But come on! That was nothing! And Idk why ppl are bashing them because by law Cover Letter Now are required to notify you that there is a monthly charge... I told myself I will cancel it before the trial is over... OF COURSE... I forgot. I got charged the $20 not once... twice! I called to ask for a courtesy... I was willing to swallow the $20 because I knew it was my fault the first month... but I spoke to the customer service rep Rafael Vazquez who listened and said he will see what he can do! He was so kind and professional. I explained to him how I only used their service that one time. He checked my history of activity and he refunded me BOTH charges of $20! This shows me their integrity and how they care about their customers! They didn't charge me for what I did not use! Thank you Cover-Letter-Now for helping me in a very stressful time. It was so easy to use! It gave me suggestions as I entered each line on the letter! Easiest format ever! I'm sure they use the same methods of helping customers on everything else on their site... No brainer! I couldn't be happier that on top of it... their customer service was so nice!

Without any notice or warning, except for some probably extremely small writing, I have been getting charged $20.00 a month for this service in which I'm not even using! You get charged at all different dates and times and I was even charged TWICE in February! When I canceled my subscription, I was sent an email saying I could contact Customer Service any time from 6 AM - 12 Midnight EST. Lie. I called the number and could not reach anyone. I am extremely dissatisfied with this. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THE SMALL WRITING AND CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS. It's my fault, but this is very upsetting.

I used this service to write a resignation letter in a pinch and it was very helpful. I will be using it again for resume update when I am ready. I'm between jobs now, so I don't need to be paying the monthly subscription fee. While the website seemed to be hung up when I tried to cancel online, I called their 844 # provided on my emailed out email confirmation of order note and found the phone worker very helpful in cancelling my account. I also have access to the site for another two weeks beyond my cancellation date! I also received immediate cancellation confirmation via email. I was very satisfied by this service. Thank you CLN!

Signed up for a free trial, didn't realize Cover Letter Now would just start taking money out of my account, no email confirmations, updates or anything to allow me to know that I was still signed up for something I didn't use. I didn't find it helpful or useful. Contacted them figuring maybe I could get a few free months since I NEVER used it and there was no help. Wouldn't recommend it.

My comments would be to state up front that this is not a free service and that the company is located in England as this may cause problems when trying to pay for service with a credit or debit card as was the case for me.
Review your web site for technical problems with the payment page. I did not have a block on my debit card, yet your payment page would not accept the 3 digit security code and therefore I had to make my payment on the phone through your rep. He had to make two attempts to get your system to accept my debit card. This problem took a great deal of time involving, first calling your rep. when repeated payments attempts failed, then calling my bank, which of course had a long wait time, and after finding out there was no block on my card, calling your rep. back to finally get the payment through! All these problems cost me a great deal of time. If it had not been for these time wasting technical difficulties, I would have given you a 5 star rating.

Cover Letter Now should have a zero because that's what I would rate them. They're really unprofessional they take money out of your account even when you cancel the subscription and unsubscribe to them I EVEN HAD TO email customer service and all they want to say is that they can return a certain amouth and tell me THE SAME THING PEOPLE ARE LISTEN IN THE COMMENTS BELOW. They keep taking my money out of my account and continue to make my account negative this is ridiculous. I recommend no one to subscribe to this day literally taking 40 bucks in one month and they will refund and continue to take it back out the next day it's ridiculous.
