Day Owl

I tried to love it, but the bag is too bulky and heavy even with nothing inside it. Also it creates marks if something touches the fabric… for example I had it in overhead bin with other luggage. The luggage bushed up against it and left marks on the bag.
I used it once on my trip to Europe recently. The straps are way too big even fully adjusted since I’m petite.
Unfortunately this bag is going to goodwill as I cannot use it again. Not comfortable due to straps and much heavier with things in it.
I like the design and look of it though.

Absolutely love my Day Owl back pack! It arrived quickly and we’ll packaged. The color is perfect. I ordered the slim bag and I can fit just everything I need for a day at work. I have a smaller build so the slim bag fits my proportions really well. It was also so easy to recycle my old pack from another retailer. Thank you!!

The bag is nice and fine, but the pockets had trash and even dried, rotten orange peels in them. Your website emphasizes that the bags were cleaned, but if the pockets weren't even opened to take out bits of dried, rotten orange peels I have no idea what your company even does when "cleaning" the bags. It seems like one of the first steps to cleaning a bag is emptying out its contents. Overall, happy with the bag. Not sure if I'll order with your company again.

This tech pouch is an ideal upgrade. It's a great size for keeping a high-power charger – in my case for a Macbook Pro – and fill the rest of the space with cords, dongles, etc., all in a tight package. The only minor issue has been the resistance from the elastic bands when sliding in cords. Otherwise, it's great!

This pack is magical. I am not a light packer, but somehow the design of the small backpack helps me fit the perfect amount of stuff for weekend trips, including multiple outfits, a laptop, a book, a bottle, and snacks. I used it while living in Italy every single time I left my home base in Florence for a weekend backpacking trip and even while hiking (you can fit a water pouch into the back pocket). You can also buckle heavy coats over the top of the pack for easy transport.

I liked my new backpack so much that I bought my wife a pink one the day mine was delivered. This size is perfect for my new MacBook Pro 14. I love all of the compartments and the trolly sleeve and I align with the sustainability of the brand. Keep up the great work!

No issues- shipped in a super timely manner, the color reflected what I saw on the site - really appreciated the side by side comparison with the slimmer version (I was debating between those two styles, ultimately, since I bring my lunch with me often to work, I opted for the bigger size- also figured I'd be more likely to use it for air travel). I felt like the whole process was smooth and I only went outside of the website to find more "objective" reviews and video reviews.

This backpack is exactly what I was looking for. It fits well on my roller suitcase handle. The laptop sleeve perfectly fits my 14” MacBook. The handles, zippers, and compartments are well proportioned and good quality. And I love the color.

My secondhand bag was very quick to process, ship, and then deliver to my home! The quick arrival allowed me to take it along with me on a weekend getaway trip. I’m very pleased by the quality and craftsmanship involved and can’t wait to take it on a plane again!

I love this bag. I use it every day to bring my laptop to work. This past week, I took it on a work trip for the first time. It was great for carting my laptop around a conference. It was also great for just trekking through NYC and having a place to stash quick purchases.

Great backpack and cord bag. I like the feel of the material. I ordered the slim because I thought the regular sized backpack would be too large; but I think the slim may be too slim! It fits enough; but it’s tight. Love the water bottle side pouch.

Wow this backpack so far is just as great as I’d hoped! I love supporting ethically minded businesses but it really helps if they offer a solid product. This is exactly that. The color is gorgeous and just as it appeared on screen. The laptop sleep fits my 16” MacBook Pro with a case very comfortably. The backpack is really well made with thoughtful features and details. I haven’t put it to the test of significant usage, but it seems like it’ll hold up. I’m glad I finally pulled the trigger!

So far so good, got this to carry stuff to and from work, it has held up well for a few weeks now. I work at a greenhouse and my hands are always extremely dirty when it's time to go home and the backpack has stayed stain and dirt free so far. my only small gripe is that I have a 32 oz nalgene bottle and when I put it in the waterproof pocket it seems like it is putting stress on the zipper. if anything breaks my guess is that will be the first thing.

LOVE IT SO MUCH! The packaging was ONLY the backpack and the cardboard encasing I loved how no plastic was used (besides the recycled plastic water bottle bag!) I love my bag it’s PERFECT and came in before the day it was supposed to arrive. ❤️❤️

Love my new backpack! The only thing I would say to improve it is
1. Do t use light lining colors- they get dirty so quickly! My light olive pack has cream lining and I would have preferred a dark color.
2. My partner got your pack in the original kickstarter and it has a key ring. I wish you hadn’t discontinued that feature.

Day Owl has been wonderful! Their products are high quality and perfect for carrying everything you need. They got my order delivered fast and were very communicative. I take public transportation for work so I wanted something small but able to fit everything I need and it’s perfect. I love the quality, including two small laptops, a 1000 page book, notebook, water bottle, and of course small things like wallet, keys, earphones.

I got my first Day Owl pack as part of the kickstarter that launched this company. I have loved it so much that I decided to get the new smaller bag as an everyday bag in a new color (the larger bag has been great for travel). My daughter also asked for one for graduation! Thanks, Day Owl, for the investment you are making in developing countries, for recycling and for the excellent design.

I love everything to do with my Day Owl bag. I opted for the combo- Bag plus cord pouch, and I am so very pleased. The material is sturdy, and tough while still being soft and pliable. There is no doubt that this is the best bag I have ever owned. Its thoughtful design allows me to hold more than I have been able to with any previous bag while distributing the weight comfortably on my back and maintaining a small and compact silhouette on my back. I truly do not know how they achieved this impossibility. I only hope Day Owl will continue to develop other bags like messenger/bicycle bags and more. The bag was true to color and exceeded my expectation in every measurable way. Thank you Day Owl. You have earned my business and my recommendation without any hesitation!

An artist I follow on instagram crowdsourced her next backpack and landed on Day Owl, which was over a year ago! It stuck in my mind as I was looking for a new backpack for all the work things... computer, lunch, notebooks, water bottle... etc. This backpack is everything and more! I'm amazed by how much we can fit in it but it looks so modern, too! Highly recommend!
