I contacted dial direct to discuss me renewal which to be fair hadn’t increased by much. They immediately informed me that they might be able to get me a better price which they did - saving me £6 from the previous cost of insuring my car.
There wasn’t any of the usual negotiations just straight to the point.
Very pleasing and more than happy to deal with dialdirect
I've never had to make a claim but the original price of my 1st cover period was very competitive and when time for renewal came round the price remained at a level where I had no problem letting my policy run on after checking comparison sites. Regular updates confirming receipt of my payments are also another reassurance that I am with the policy that suits me best, completely satisfied.
No Fault of dial direct but the breakdown service did not happen i broke down on 21 st June 1740 , AT 23 20 was told nobody was coming . Had to get lift home the next day i was told i would get help by 09 30 At 945 i had to tell them i would sort it out myself as i was again told it would or might be 2 and half hours , poor from RAC . 15 hours and not rescued Not impressed
Since an accident on 31 Jan 2022 I am still awaiting the repair of my car, ostensibly due to the non-availability of a spare part.
Over the course of the last six months I have been given numerous abortive delivery dates, the lastest of which is 24 September 2022.
This is an unsupportable and ludicrous situation. Even if the part is delivered as promised (on past performance I have little confidence that it will be) that will be eight months during which I have been without my vehicle.
A touted benefit of the policy :
“Courtesy car whilst an approved repairer fixes your car (subject to availability)”
seems not to be worth the paper it is printed on, since after six months no replacenent vehicle has been forthcoming.
It appears to me that Dialdirect was happy to abrogate its responsibilities under terms of the contract being content to leave me in the hands of un unresponsive underwriter and repair organisation.
I am now considering taking legal advice on this matter in an attempt to expedite a resolution.
Twice I phoned you and twice you told me payment had been accepted fine, then low and behold whilst I'm out the country on holiday you email me to contact you urgently, which I did to great expense to find that no for some unknown reason the card payment did not go through, luckily I had the same card on me whilst abroad and guess what the payment went straight through. Your customer services woman was quite rude telling me its not her fault that I'm out the country. So no I won't be using you again next year. Thankyou Sadie Marriott
Each year I compare costs n for the last 2 years nobody has offered a better price. The one year that they were dearer it was only by a small amount which Dial Direct matched so I stayed with them. They are always very polite, friendly n very helpful whenever I've had a problem. The only thing I would like is a paper policy as I cant print off my tablet.
For the last three years DialDirect have come up trumps for both my motor and home insurances with the very best like for like cover at the best price.
Every year as policy renewals approach I research comparison and other web sites, but, renew with DialDirect.
I also find them to be highly efficient !
My renewal policy offer was considerably lower than last year with other companies you normally have to switch to get a better deal were direct line was excellent. Also the service is excellent 10 out of 10 Thank you Best regards Steve
I never normally stay with the same car insurance company, I tend to shop around every year to find the best deal. I was totally surprised that the renewal quote was around £50 cheaper than the previous year and beat all comparison websites, here’s hoping to next year.
I’ve been with Dial direct number of years good price on insurance only one problem when you need windscreen cover the pain trying to get a date from the windscreen company only give you a date at 4 o’clock the day before when you’re self-employed that’s not good overall would recommend Dial direct.
To begin with my policy for 2022 was lower than my 2021 one which is allways good if you can save money,second there's always someone who can answer any question about your policy and lastly they give you a choice to check on other prices from other insurance companies before renewing
Price was even better than last year
Do wish the years discount would increase ie stops at 9 years no claims , should increase every year
Plus insurance is only as good as the results pending any claims, which I haven’t “touch wood” had to claim
Last year found the whole experience of insuring with Dial Direct straightforward and economical....once again this year found the same, premium had increased slightly but not enough to faff about changing insurers.
Website was really easy to use and above all a renewal message was sent well in advance, have me plenty of time to shop around!.
Once reinsured Ask MID was updated within 48 hours....always have had problems with other insurers regarding this.
My renewal date my card details had changed so I got a letter to say insurance is declined call before date to make payment or face cancellation, when I called to make payment he was so rude on the phone and started saying next time if you don't change your card details there will be a 20 pound chare which I am letting you off this time in a rude tone,I apologised but do you think it was worth 20pounds to talk me down,and another thing I have not received an email to say thank you for renewing and this payment is received.
We've been with Dial Direct for a while and fortunately haven't needed to ask for help. It's reassuring that Dial Direct are there though.
Excellent feedback and updates from them and you know where you are without all the 'exceptions' other insurers apply. Very good value for money for the cover we have on our house and belongings.

Well I can only give five stars as I have nothing to complain about with regards cost and easy process to renew. Price includes breakdown cover.
Fortunately I have not needed to make any claim on anything, so I can’t comment on how well they do in that regard. So five stars at the moment.
Friendly staff, but mainly in today's economic climate a great car insurance quote with add on's(compared to other so called leading brands).
Have no intentions of leaving dial direct anytime soon.

Cost of insurance very reasonable for my Ranger Raptor and includes includes breakdown assistance. I used the breakdown assistance once and got through to an agent quickly who then sourced a mechanic to attend within 30 minutes. Excellent service.
Dial Direct has over the years I have been with them have shown to be very helpful should you have to make a claim. I was in the unfortunate position of having to make a claim two years running. Dial Direct soon had my claim settled with no problems whatsoever.
