Ordered 2 lasagnas from our fav place today.
One of them arrived with rancid smells, and sour when you take a bite. It is an exact lasagna, my husband doesnt want to eat his bcs it leave an aftertaste meaning it will go bad soon so we both better avoid it and dont wanna take a risk to get stomach problem. i just got out from hospital and had surgery 2 days before, I just dont wanna risk my recovery.
Well we throw both of them and ended up drive out to get some chick fila. This person named Rowel being difficult to refund 28 bucks! Like seriously? He just wanted to refund 1 lasagna
We go back and forth and he asked me whether I'm getting sick or not or i experience allergic reaction?
I literally ate it 5 mins ago and throw em out.
I asked them if I get hospitalized from food poisoning is doordash gonna responsible for my hospital bill?
And he bcome even rude saying that he is not the one that ordered the food and blablabla
End story I asked him to keeo the f 28 bucks to himself and i'll f off from your app.
We called the restaurant and they EVEN offered a credit for us but we didnt take it, its not their responsibility bcs I paid it to doordash, not to them directly and We've been a loyal cust for years., just dont want them get in trouble
Can you believe that this company prefer to keep disgusting 14 bucks to loose a customer? Like seriously if you worried about me taking an advantage of the system, you better take a look my purchase history there. Unbelievable, they need better ppl with better way of thinking and clear mind
Placed a order at bj. On the weekends they use doordash to deliver. I fortunately had a great driver whom when delivering told me she told the store stuff was missing. It was close to 400 dollar delivery. She was kind enough to stay and call her supervisor telling them she would go back to store to see if the forgot a box which seemed to be all fruit vegetables milk etc. 1st they wanted to reload her car bring back to store and another dasher would pick up. I stepped in told them it was crazy to have her do that so the supervisor agreed to send her back and she would be compensated. She went back to find out a new trainee forgot the box in the fridge. Took her 15 minutes round trip to deliver my stuff. Then she called back to tell them she completed the delivery
The refused to pay her saying she never should have done this. I again step in to tell them she was told to do it and would get paid. 3 hours later multiple hang ups and swiching agents telling me to file a complaint fkr a refund. This company has complete idiots running it. I stood by the driver who went out of her way for me. During all this her car battery died so I jumped it and her phone would have been dead too from all the bs they put her and I through. They treat their employees like dirt and could care less about the customer.
I reached out to bj the next day spoke to a supervisor and told them what happened. I told them as their cutomer they should reconsider using doordash as their delivering company. Upper management still has not called back.
DO NOT WORK OR USE THIS COMPANY ONE WAY OR THE OTHER THEY WILL SCREW YOU.
To my Driver Jaylee any company would be happy to have such a diligent worker. I thank you.
Shame on doordash.
Ordered $72.08 of food, was told via email that the restaurant (El Toreo) didn’t have anymore steak fajitas so they’d be replacing me with beef. Which was fine, so my total went to $74.52.
Driver 1 brought the food, dropped it all on the ground. Because it started raining and the bag broke. All of the food was on my steps. So he stepped to his car and had DoorDash contact me. The 1st lady I spoke with told me she couldn’t REORDER my food and could only offer a credit of $14. Then she said ok it’s been reordered. What a joke!
I didn’t catch it til the 2nd Driver was at my door with just 2 sweet teas. They thought it was strange to be delivering 2 sweet teas and told me, they though I was pregnant and had a specific craving. Definitely not! So at this point I’m hungry and upset! Get on the Web Chat and the person tells me, “oh I see your order is there.” I then tell them, “look, they brought 2 sweet teas and I spent 74.52. So where is my food? Or my money?”
I get someone on the phone eventually telling me they were going to credit me $17. So we go from $14 to $17?!? I blew up because you’re not keeping my money! I ask for a supervisor and he’s just as insane - I can ONLY credit you $25.08.
My question: $25 for what. You have debited my account $74.52 already & I know you don’t think I’m paying $50 plus for 2 sweet teas!
Since all you wanna give $25 when I received NOTHING, I’ll contact my bank! And I’ve done just that. They did release the 72.08 hold - but really think they’re keeping 74.52 when I didn’t even get to smell my food; let alone taste it!
DoorDash is overpriced, outdated and doesn’t give 2 craps about the people using their service. The drivers had more concerns about this issue than the company itself.
I’ve had better success using Uber Eats or dealing with the company directly if they have delivery.
Shame on DoorDash and it’s so called management. Scam is what I call it. For better service steer clear of DoorDash for sure. They don’t even deserve 1star.
DoorDash is an absolute disgrace every single time I order from them I have food missing or the driver says that they drop my food off when they never did and it has nothing to do with a tip they are tipped like a previous comment I seen one time a DoorDash driver drove up eating my food and gave me my order with two items missing that they were eating but the biggest disgrace is the DoorDash does not guarantee a refund for these things they do so many credits in a lifetime and then you can never get them again I should not have this many problems that a refund needs to be issued for any items this many times there should not be this many dishonest drivers working for them that they’re stealing the food most of the time is the driver stealing the food the bags are open the stickers are ripped open did the restaurants put on there once in a while it is the fault of the restaurant Either way it is a disgrace to DoorDash does not make an attempt to get you the missing items by having the Dasher go back or refunding your money back after so many refunds have been done which are very few I have only had very few refunds and they told me that I cannot have any more matter how many times my food comes in correct I just ordered food for my children two orders of french fries are missing and one cheeseburger they will not refund the money it is a disgrace I have only had several refunds done that should’ve never had to be done because there should not be this many mistakes every time I call and order food but I have only had a refund done maybe four times ever and they’re telling me that’s the limit so I cannot have any more refunds and that they do not make the drivers go back and get the missing items I will never use them again I don’t advise anybody to use them again some of the drivers or come to my house I can’t even believe they have employed for them they need to do background checks and see what kind of people they have working for them one of the times they had a refund my food places four blocks from my house to drive or pick the food up I’m sitting outside for an hour watching the map of where the car is the driver told DoorDash that he delivered my food he didn’t deliver my food he was never even on my street I told him look at your GPS your driver was never even on my block this is a disgrace so after so many mistakes and they have to do a refund they do not guarantee or give a refund ever again so they basically just told me how many more times it does not matter how many more times I order food if there are missing items they cannot refund them I have to just lose my money so basically it’s OK for the restaurants to make mistakes or the Dashers to steal the food and nothings done about it.
Unfortunately my first experience with Door Dash sucked a lot. The delivery was fine and initially the problem was not with Doordash but because of procedures that have to be followed, Doordash became the problem. I had ordered for my family and decided I would also order 2 beers. One of the beers made it, one did not. I immediately called BJs and was told I needed to contact Door Dash because that is who payment was accepted by. I thought this was a bad process because BJs was the one that failed to fulfill the order, but whatever, a procedure is a procedure. So I called Door Dash. I got transferred 6 times and talked to 7 different people. It it almost like they were trying to make me give up over the course of about 50 minutes. Each one had to ask the same questions and each time I couldn’t get any help, either because they didn’t have “access to the right system” (heard that at least 4 times), one couldn’t help because he couldn’t refund alcohol sales, and the last person told me I needed to talk to BJs. I explained how I already did that at the beginning and he assured me that’s what I needed to do. I asked if we could conference call just in case that didn’t work so we could both be on the line to which he avoided answering the question and then eventually told me he couldn’t because of privacy laws. He did call BJs customer care and transferred me and I was immediately told by the BJs rep he could not help me because I paid through Doordash so I need to contact Doordash. So I called Doordash back for some reason to try one more time and was told I had to be transferred. I told her not to worry I was tired of wasting almost an hour and a half of my time. And by now by food is cold and microwaved fish wasn’t all that good, although the dogs seemed to enjoy it. Hopefully Doordash enjoys the money they got (and BJs) even though I will never get my full order. Freaking sucked!
DoorDash is a bunch of CROOKS! Drivers take HOURS and hours to deliver hot restaurant food then it arrives cold and incorrect and they don’t refund you. I used to order through door dash on a regular basis until I got sick of waiting hours and hours for my order to arrive and then having it be incorrect when it finally did arrive! After many months of not ordering, we were very busy at work and couldn’t leave for lunch so decided to order through DoorDash. Of course, we should have known it was going to be an issue. After an hour an 29 minutes of waiting I contacted our Dasher (delivery driver) and she said she was just arriving at the restaurant to pick out our food. I asked her to please check our order to be sure our food was hot because it had been sitting for over an hour. She explained that she was unable to do that so I told we we would like to check the order when she arrives. Not only was the food was cold.. the green tea was only half full and had no ice, the ice tea was lukewarm and has no ice, we ordered two deserts and only received one and it wasn’t even the correct one. The driver instructed us to contact DoorDash customer service, which we did, and we were told that they could not help us and that we would receive and email from their supervisor with a response to our order inquiry. The email we received from DoorDash said that they were not willing to correct the order nor were they willing to compensate us for the order because we have already received a refund or credit on previous orders. So this one restaurant is poorly staffed and keeps sending out incorrect or poorly made items, and we get stuck with it because we have had to make prior complaints with previous orders through them? If so I even went as far as calling DoorDash after receiving the email to see if they could give us even half of our money back and after talking to two supervisors, was told they were not willing to replace the food or compensate at all for the order. Even after all of the incorrect orders in the past I still continued using DoorDash against my better judgment and I guess that is my own fault now for continuing use them after knowing that I probably would not receive the correct food or food with the wrong temperature
DO NOT USE DOORDASH!! Is my suggestion!
I would like to respond to some of these reviews. Not every dasher is a tweaker. People will pay a totally crummy waitress 10.00 or more in a tip and it costs them nothing to walk to your table to take your order. They also get a reasonable base pay before tips. Dashers are using their own money and vehicles to deliver your food or groceries, plus waiting for merchants who are not busy to complete orders they should have ready when a driver arrives. Door Dash does not give account to the fact, and apparently most customers don't, that orders are not ready, the driver is driving long distances between merchants and customers, many merchants are totally unprofessional, and the wear and tear on vehicles, plus traffic conditions. Expecting a driver to drive 5 or more miles two ways for a 2.00 to 5.00 run is ridiculous. And expecting deliveries to be done in a specific time frame for that low pay or when apartment names are different or a maze that is very difficult to locate the delivery place is not fair to judge a driver. I am a 67 year old grandmother and great grandmother. I carry deliveries daily and am very good at navigating. I drive around areas that have no clear directions. GPS does not know names have changed because they do not update frequently. And one business I delivered a 3.80 order to had 5 buildings with exactly the same address and no clear directives of which building to deliver to. Gasoline is 5.50 to 6.50 a gallon. And ordering drinks and ice cream to be delivered 10 miles from a merchant is not usually going to end well. Especially in the summer. Another thing. The merchant should not expectva driver to grab anything at all firvanborder no matter what side of the counter it is on. We should walk in to orders being fully completed by the people you paid for them. Drivers make nothing fir preparing your order. We only deliver. I also think ratings are bogus because both sides need to be heard. Many drivers refuse orders below a certain amount. And they ratings drop. That is not right. If I know it is a shut in, elderly, or disabled person, I don't mind but it ticks me off to deliver small orders with ridiculously low tips to people who are totally unappreciative of the drivers. I don't know how much Door Dash charges for deliveries but everything customers pay over the cost if their order is not going to drivers. And just so you all know. We don't get gasoline reimbursement, plus have auto insurance, and up-keep on our vehicles. Drivers are doing you a major service so think before you decide it is a driver issue.
1st- doordash app is buggy from time to time
2nd- yes there is some bad eggs out there but they do get banned then they move on to other delivery apps
3rd- sometimes prices our high depends on where you pick the restaurant location and where the dasher might be.
4th- they tend to send the most reliable dasher they can that is waiting for an order or has high "good" ratings
5th- dasher usually only take good tip orders and distance is short.
6th- low tip usually gets pushed on top dasher and they get the backlash or not making anything money.
7th - dashers aren't suppose to open your order to look inside even if told by customer
8th- if order has missing items you can go back on dasher app or website to get refunded instead of calling doordash helpline
9th- when you text or message your dasher they don't see a notification it's weird but they need to fix that part of the app. Instead call them.
10th- if your order takes forever to get to you "note this" low tip, long lines, traffic, stolen by a bad egg dasher, or order never reached the restaurant. All things has happen and " Top Dashers" has tried there best to fix mistakes of other dashers.
11th- cold and hot food regardless of using doordash bag or not. Remember the seasons temperature and what the driver has to deal with and there own body condition. Foods that can't hold heat well will get cold no matter what. Compared to hot foods. Soup base will last longer on a delivery then fries or tacos.
12th- no matter what delivery company you use to get food it depends on tips and how experienced the driver is.
DoorDash is a rip off! Not only do you pay for the food, but there is a delivery fee, service fee, tax, and tip. Our $20 meal came to $30 and that's after waiving the $5 first time delivery fee! Crazy!
I ordered a meal for my husband and I at 6:40pm with a gift card I had received. Delivery was anticipated for 7:20-7:30. However, they never delivered the food! I contacted an agent who clearly struggled to communicate. After much back and forth, he verified my address, said it had been delivered, apologized for the inconvenience, and credited my account. When I asked him about getting a first time delivery waiver again, he said I would have to pay delivery and request a refund. Seriously? I asked him to clarify how that works, and he hung up on me. So then I looked up my account to see if it had in fact been credited, and I couldn't find it anywhere. So I contacted DoorDash again. They informed me where the credit is posted...and it was. And then they connected me with another person to ask about the first time delivery waiver. Once again, they were apologetic, but took too long to communicate and I had to leave. I still don't know how this first time delivery waiver is going to work. I really don't want to use DoorDash again, but I have a $30 credit and I sure as hell am not going to forfeit it to them!
After talking to my son, he informed me that he's used DoorDash a couple times, and they've messed up his order every time. One time he requested bacon and cheese on his burger and they put it on his fries. Another time they spilled his beverage all over his food.
I am not confident that DoorDash cares enough to deliver a great experience...or even a satisfactory experience. Once my $30 credit is gone, I'm done with DoorDash!
I tried to order food on a new account set up through doordash because I lost my old phone number. I could not log in with out the 2 step verification. (I must of forgot my password too). It let me once i set it up. I ordered food once. Then today a few days later, I tried to order but it said everything was CLOSED??? So then I gave me an error code that my account was terminated! I called doordash just now. They tried saying I requested it! Its a new account because I lost access on my own. I said the only time I said anything like that was in 2020!!! They never terminated the old account. So years later I open another account and its terminated for getting mad and saying, you know... if they could just check the bag it would prevent a lot of problems with getting the food I order! Maybe I should stop using your services. Never did I request to be TERMINATED! Oh well, UberEats works just fine and they got $85.00 today because you terminated our relationship!
I never posted a bad review and I have a large family. Every order is between $85.00 and $125.00. We eat out 3x a week. So you do the math. I hope they enjoyed terminating me. They LOST BUISNESS and will continue to... why? They treat customers like this! Plus they said I'll activate it for you and put me on hold for an hour!!! So I am posting about my experience. I was a loyal customer for 6 years!!! You have been warned. They said I'm banned forever if she could not reactivate it!!! No joke. I NEVER SAID CANCEL MY ACCOUNT!!! So Messed Up.
DoorDash has added grocery stores to their menu. However, their Dashers need help in the following areas....
1) Reading and comprehending what they are reading:
a) When an item says it is 1.20 each and I select 1(one) it does not mean I want 1 lb of the item. It means exactly what the option says. (In this case DasherW over purchased not only one item but 3 separate items, increasing the cost because they were a weighed product). Because it is on my receipt I don't get a refund....
b) When it says "Contact Me" it means exactly that. Call me and advise what the issue is. (DasherW did not even try to use that method).
c) Refund the item: does not mean select another product that the Dasher thinks is acceptable. If I wanted that other item, I would've ordered the other item or added as a substitute. (DasherW must have not even looked at the list, because I had several items marked as Refund if not in stock and he found the next best thing anyways)
I didn't even try DoorDash Cust. Care because I didn't have proof and all of DasherW's misdeeds were marked on the receipt. -IF- I use this option again, there will be a lot of screen grabs going forward. This was one hell of an expensive lesson.
2) DoorDash Substitute Item option
a) if they do not have either the original item or the substitute item, it does not give DoorDash license to charge you for the item anyways. (My DasherJ was nice on this particular issue. He contacted me, contacted DoorDash customer care on my behalf and advised that I do the same since my receipt actually indicated the items were not ordered.)
3) Following Instructions
So may DoorDashers have ignored the instructions I have lost count. They do not contact you when they have dropped off the order in the wrong place (and they know it, oh wait, I forgot yes this goes back issue number 1 Reading and Comprehending) I don't know how many times I got tied up and couldn't get to the door right away and either the squirrels or the neighbor's dog has helped themselves to the order.
But to be fair DoorDash isn't the only one who fails at that one. The other delivery services do too. But it is more noticeable with the DoorDashers.
For this reason I have taken to undercutting the DoorDasher tip. -IF- they follow the instructions, -AND- contact me that it is delivered... they will find they will get an additional cash tip and in the case of the grocery trips, also replacements for the bags that DoorDash does not supply to their drivers.
I want to say a few things here as a door dash driver. I door dash in Salt Lake Area. I run west valley to magna, West Jordan to south Jordan. First thing I always want to make sure is communicate with my customer. If there is waiting time pick up order is not ready I contact my customer right away text or call but I talk to them and let them know any possible time wait. I confirm and shot them another message like “ hey I just got your order and I’m heading there asap with a smile. Second, let them know if your dropping off another order but always check miles and distance between them which one is closer drop it off and head to the next one with the order inside the HOT BAG. Always use your hot bag to put customer food inside. I always treat their food as my food make sure it’s nice and warm. Remember communication is number 1 important. Read your instructions carefully before making that drop off. I understand low dips and good dips but be nice and be kind with their food. There good be a child that order this food or maybe someone is disability who only have a small budget for food. There are times I accept $3.50 to run 5-6 miles and when I arrive at the place. My heart drop and it almost make me cry to see the condition of their living how I wish I can buy them more food on the way. I do door dash with my wife and my three little ones in the back. Sometimes my wife question me for that but let me tell you customer and door dasher. If we don’t have Charity toward each other we are nothing. Always wear that smile everyday and be more kind and love to others. There’s this one time I have to do red card order in the shop. After getting the item to the check out the card was decline. Customer didn’t put enough money for their order. I remember I had some extra changes of $7.00 in my car. I completely their order and deliver it to them. When they know what happen and see them happy it’s enough for me. I had made enough for gas and food and enjoy my door dash. To all customer please to the same to us be kind and respect we will do our best to serve you. We can make a change to someone’s life just for being kind and respect.
I have been dashing for a few weeks now. So let me give you little insight on how things are for us drivers. When we pick up your order most of the time like 98.9% of the time the restaurant worker hands is the food and walks away the bags are Most of the time type shut so we can't 100% tell you what is in the bag of yours. I'm not saying it doesn't happen that. Dasher could steal your food I know it happens and it puts us those who care about running their business legit if your food is late it may not be our fault I'm also not saying that some dasher do this on purpose mostly do to the tip being a very low offer. But sometimes we show up at a restaurant and they don't even have a ticket for your order so then we show them your items or order then they create a ticket and if it is at a restaurant not a fast food place this could take up to 30 minutes or more. I had to wait 30 mins then finally I got the order the 10 minutes to drive the order to the house.. if we drop the order off at your house and it's not your house gps on the app sometimes fails us the app fails. Today I was sent to the wrong address but luckily I read the drop off directions and something was definitely wrong with the address I contacted my customer and asked them the address so I can go to the right place I was 1 street away? I had a customer address the same as the restaurant why doordash didn't catch on to that one and get it Correct I don't know but I took the matter into my hands. I do think that of there is something wrong with your order upon our arrival that the restaurant store or whatever should be the one handling it not us dasher we just the pick up delivery and drop off person. I don't know how many times I had to call or text a customer about the restaurant not having something or they drink machine are not working. My question to you Customer (yes I know we are in hard times) but do you really expect us to pick up your orders that are offer no tip or very little tip and go 10 miles with gas being high right now I can't go 2.00 for 5 or longer miles if we are not at least making a dollar a mile that is pushing it we are not making Any money. We have to take money out for gas, taxes, maintenance I'm not looking to get rich door dashing but it has to be worth our time.
I used to be a loyal DoorDash customer for approx 2 years. During that time, if something was wrong with my order, which happened about 70% (or 2 out of 3) of orders, the customer service was great about fixing the problem. They would grant me a redelivery or a credit or refund based on my choice.
So, when my order tonight from McDonald's was missing an item, I thought that the customer service of DoorDash would fix it. Unfortunately, I could not get a redelivery because McDonald's was closed by the time I got my food. So I asked for a refund.
The customer service agent told me that, due to my past of getting refunds for missing/wrong items, they can no longer refund my money! I could not believe what I was reading- ummm, what?!?! I asked if they were going to at least investigate by talking to McDonald's and the driver. Or did the driver take a picture to show what she was given? The agent said that he would have to wait until morning because McDonald's was closed and the driver was now "off duty"! I asked if the driver had to document what she is given and he replied "no".
He then asked me what I wanted to do. I wanted to tell him that I wanted to reach thru the internet and choke him but I did not. I told him, "what choice do I have?" The only choice I have is to no longer order through DoorDash so that I am not blamed for something that I DID NOT DO. I told him that this is ridiculous and he should be ashamed of himself for essentially blaming the victim.
What a rip-off! They will no longer receive a dime from me! What good is a convenience service if they do not deliver what you order? It is no longer a convenience service. I will not pay for things that I don't actually get! How does that make any sense? This is wrong!
I ordered through the doordash app for Subway sandwiches. When I looked at the sandwiches I was ordering, it gave the price for a 6 in. and with that description it also said "free 6-in sub." It just stated very plainly the price of the 6-in sub and then a free 6-inch sub so I'm expecting to buy one and get one free. I ordered two different sandwiches with the same "free 6-inch sub' tag on it so I'm expecting four 6 in Subway sandwiches. I only received two. I called the store of course they don't have anything to do with doordash so I called doordash and the customer service rep I spoke with didn't know anything. Alex didn't even have anything to look at, that referenced what the Subway menu said! How can you provide help/customer service if you are unable to see what the menu says? I asked him: if you guys can't see what's on the menu how do you provide customer service? He had to put me on hold twice. I said if I misunderstood or read it wrong just tell me that because I would have ordered the sandwiches anyway but because it said 'free 6 inch sub" I'm thinking I'm going to buy one and get one free, why else would it say that? Then he tried to tell me that the sub was going to be free and I said well if it was free why did you charge me? After the 2nd time on hold he said I was supposed to make a minimum $20 purchase! It said nothing about that! I offered 3 times to screenshot the menu to him. So the point of my review here is that the customer service rep didn't know anything and he still couldn't respond to any of that. After a long pause I even said doesn't anybody there have a cell phone that they can look at the Subway menu and tell you what it says? Obviously I got no help from them and this just tells me why I stopped using doordash before. Save your money use somebody else, forget doordash! The only reason I gave one stars is because the Subway sandwiches were decent I did get a discount because they also provided me with a promo code for my discount but regardless I would have ordered anyway it just really annoyed me after a while that they couldn't even give me an answer! I asked to speak with someone else and he ignored that 🙄 I told the rep I know you think you're doing your job but I think your company sucks. It's pretty sorry when a CSR isn't informed & can't provide customer service. Isn't that there job, to make the customer happy? Apparently not at doordash! Needless to say I won't be using doordash again.
Something is always missing with our orders. When it started I was getting refunded the entire amount which I thought was unnecessary. I felt so bad for customer support, it’s not their fault. One agent had told me missing items happen often, it was clear that they’re used to people typically being confused or upset with their order. As time went on and more things went wrong with my orders (I had pictures of everything) the amounts that were credited back were less and less. For instance: I order two items that cost $30 total, Doorsash offers $13.23 back as a credit. From conversations I have had, I don’t think that this has anything to do with support. It seems that Doordash tells them the amount to credit back. So when this mess started and they were crediting back the entirety of the orders, I was basically “chipping away at credits” I had sitting in my account when I registered. It’s a terrible way to run a business in this field. Now, I do not want an entire order credited back if it’s not necessary. But I do want 1) to get everything I paid for 2) for it to be right 3) and to eat with my family rather than one person watch everyone else eat because their order is missing or was made wrong or they couldn’t eat due to a gluten allergy. The dashers should be checking the orders to make sure everything is there. I’m not saying they need to open the boxes but count the items, make sure drinks are ready, read the ticket, include straws, etc. Additionally the food is handle with extreme lack of care. I have seen the dashers carry the food side ways countless times and I have received our food a complete mess more times than I can count. I don’t know if they don’t pay their dashers well or what the deal is.. This is honestly the worst app I have ever used. This is also the very first bad review I have ever written in my 32 years. Every time I think maybe it was just that one restaurant, let me give them another shot somewhere else… I literally end up giving doordash free money each and every time that I use the app. I live in Houston Texas, I am a business owner and the restaurants are plentiful here. Doordash seemed to be a stress free way to feed my team which is why I continued to use this app. I am beyond disappointed.
My husband and I are disabled and homebound, so we depend on various delivery services. Out of all the delivery companies, we have more troubles with Door Dash than with all of the others COMBINED! Sure, we can choose to not use DDs services for meal deliveries, however, not ONLY restaurants hire DD to deliver for them; sometimes we don't realize it until it's too late and sometimes we have no choice but to chance it (for example, our pharmacy uses DD).
Our biggest problem is that they CONSISTENTLY go to the wrong address. Five blocks from us is a street spelled very similarly to ours, and there is a house with the exact same number as ours. Door Dash is the ONLY delivery company that has gone to the wrong address... EVER! It happens so frequently that we have it in our delivery instructions to NOT go to that wrong address, yet, it keeps happening... over and over and over again.
We know, for a fact, that drivers can see the instructions. Once in awhile, we've had drivers thank us because they were, indeed, directed to the wrong address but our instructions prevented them from actually going there. We've reported this issue to DD on multiple occassions, at which time we're told it will never happens again, and it might get better for a little while, then it starts up all over again.
Oddly enough (heavy sarcasm here), the Door Dash website and/or app allow a person to review the driver and the restaurant or store who contracted with them, but they don't allow for reviewing Door Dash. Well, today, I found this website... and I am SO EXCITED to let 'em have it (DD, that is)! It's quite obvious that I'm not the only one who feels this way. Over 14,000 other reviewers are unleashing their frustrations. If we're honest, though, it probably won't do any more good than just that (allow us to release) because DD will continue conducting themselves with the same poor business practices they have always used. But, hey, that's SOMETHING, at least.
Worst delivery service ever!!!!!!
My delivery was over 1 hour late during an unbusy period of the day. Fees are crazy high and they provide zero customer service. So why are we paying so much for shit service and cold food + had to tip in advance which I was unable to change. My food got to take a ride around the entire city rather than to come straight to my house which is 5 mins from the restaurant.. and then when I ask the driver what happened, I get "ma'am, please call customer service" Really? That's what you have to say? I've been on hold with then for over an hour while waiting for you ro deliver this cold pizza.... This driver could not have cared less. Probably the only place who would hire such an idiot. I paid twice what it would have cost if I had picked it up myself and I'm sure the driver tampered with my food so I threw it out. I called customer service multiple times wanted for hours, no one ever picked up, left 3 messages, no one ever called back, never got any refund. If you're thinking about using doordash I recommend that you set a $20 on fire instead. It will cost you less, either way you won't get any food and you'll get more satisfaction out of it. I will be telling everyone not to use their service and any restaurant who doesn't offer uber eats or skip the dishes shall not get my business. Period! If your restaurant is dumb enough to do business with doordash then you are managed by owners who don't care about their customers. Quality of service is more important than money... It's too bad doordash doesn't know that. Probably run by kids who know nothing about people. Go back to your games and let customer service be managed by people who have actually interacted with human beings before. Customer service is really not your thing. The worst service I have ever received from any business in any industry ever! Also my first time posting a review online for anything. I usually don't waste time with such things but this was THAT bad!! I'm moving on now knowing that I've learned a lesson and my life will be much better without Doordash. I'll also be talking st-onges time to talk to restaurant managers/owners who have this logo in their window about reconsidering their choices of service providers. Doordash is a bad decision everytime!
My meal was so bad that I immediately got a stomachache after first bite. I feed it to my dogs.
My order totalled $30 dollars and was not edible. I called doordash to see if I could get a refund so that I could place an order with another restaurant.
The rep I spoke with was belittling he asked me if he should call for medic to take me to emergency room. What a joke emergency room for Nausea and stomach pain, a visit to the hospital would run me a ridiculous amount of money. I explained to rep it was not an emergency. I was wanted my hard owned money back.
He then said I would need to file a police report, I told him I would do no such thing since no crime was committed an his statement was ridiculous. I was having difficulty hearing him, sounded like he put the phone on speaker. I asked him to please take me off speaker to which he denied having me on speaker. So I suggested he speak closer to phone because I couldn't hear him well. He said if I was having problems understanding him. Which was another jab at belittling me,
I replied understanding was not the issue it was more so that all of a sudden I volume got really low, he then said he couldn't refund my money but would give me the number to their legal and FBI department. I had just had enough of his nonsense, I answered sure I'll take that number.
He gave me the main number to doordash dash customer service the same number I had called him on.
He was a real joker
I wish there was a way to identify him so that I can file a formal complaint.
Not sure if this is a review, a rant or a venting, I drove for doordash most of 2020 and it was fun and pretty good money, started getting a lot of drivers and there wasn't as much money so I stopped driving, it was just for extra money, I recently started trying to drive again and it is very disappointing, most base pay orders are $2.25 and a one way trip about 10-12 miles, now that doesn't include mileage to get to the pick up point or your return trip back, so basically you could make a round trip delivery 20-25 miles, now doordash only pays for the trip from pick up to drop off, then if there isn't a tip you lose bad on those orders and they happen multiple times throughout the evening, now if that isn't bad enough they will offer you an order for the same base pay and have you go MILES outside of you chosen delivery area, don't call and complain you will be told that you went outside the area and they app will even let you know and will not give you another order till you are back in said area, but the will send you outside the area then try and give you more in that area, now you can decline an order for all the reason above and in my opinion be in the right, especially with gas prices skyhigh, however doordash will drop your acceptance rating, not right doordash. I could think of so much more but I'll stop ranting. I do however hope that someone from doordash reads this and makes it right for all the people out there doing the public a very nice service and to the customers tip decently 25 50 that's an insult honestly doordash and the customer should give a minimum $1 per mile, my opinon
