Epic games doesn't even deserve the word "epic" in there name. It should be $#*! Games. Rocket league has reached a point of near unplayability, because of this parasitic company. Epic Games came in as a company like happy campers, but it turns out they are the bear in the woods to ruin all the fun in the gaming community. The idea of a battle pass has destroyed many fan favorite games such as call of duty, rocket league, and more. It's a truly toxic concept. Going back to the rocket league destruction caused by $#*! Games. Servers before epic made their unwanted appearance in rocket league were as close to perfect as possible. I was able to join into games seamlessly with my friends. Unfortunately now you have to go through a connection gauntlet to even get in the pre-game lobby. I highly recommend not to have any idea of purchasing any games developed by $#*! Games or buy any in-game purchases available in their games. Epic games is truly catastrophic to say the least. I'm for sure not the only one that has this opinion. I, along with many others would not mind if this company would go out of business. Honestly it would be more help than harm to the gaming community. One last note. Epic games, you are the worst gaming company to ever be established and you will not see me, or my family for all coming generations purchase a game made by you. Thank you for nothing. Idiots.

Epic has created console wars on the PC with their unethical and consumer unfriendly policies. Epic Games continue to throw their Fortnite bucks at publishers to secure exclusivity deals for new releases on their mess of a platform, and some of these games have already been advertised and promised on other platforms. The Epic Game Store lacks just about every single feature that all other popular platforms offer. They don't even offer a shopping cart to consumers, for crying out loud, and we saw the result of that, during what passed for their Summer Sale, a few weeks ago. Epic is promising some developer friendly features, like a review system, but they are giving developers the option to opt out of allowing reviews to show up on for their games. What kind of a review system is that?

Epic justifies the existence of their mess of a store by pretending to care about the revenue split between retailers and developers. Really, though, all they care about is taking market share away from all of the other platforms that they can't compete with. And, they can't compete with them because they aren't trying to improve their platform, at all; instead, they are coaxing over new customers to their mess of a platform by giving them an ultimatum to either buy their exclusives from them or wait a year to play them on other platforms. Epic's mess of a platform is developer friendly, and any new features that they offer will not be anything that their consumers will want. There is, literally, no reason for The Epic Game Store to exist, other than to cause mischief and mayhem in the PC marketplace. The Epic Game Store is a cancer to the PC and should be avoided. My recommendation to anybody who wants one of their exclusives is to wait it out... wait just a year or less and get the game on a reputable platform with features... one that is consumer friendly.

Was refuse a refund based on the fact that i played more than 2 hour. But i personally only played 40 minutes before being hacked over night. Was informed by ubisoft that my account was jeopardize. So i changed everything. Double verified. Amd the next day inwas hacked again. My game was converted to japanese permanently. Now i cant even play my game. Tried very hard to fix this, with the help of ubisoft. Epic Games told me this can't be fixed and im initialed to a refund. Epic still refuses.

I am very disappointed with Epic games and their selfish ways of handling fortnite with Apple. My 12 year old son asked me play during the pandemic. I joined on my IPhone to connect with him. I just played my first full season and now have to terminate my connection with him. Shame on you epic. I play on an Apple platform and Epic Games should receive the majority of the of the profits that they generate. You do absolutely nothing but collect a percentage of Apple's profit. They maintain and provide the app. You should be appreciative of sitting back and enjoying your profits for doing absolutely nothing but sharing fortnite. My son (mainly me) have spent hundreds of dollars on your game (Vbucks). I am about to cut him off since you cut me off. I am done with you extorting money from him and me. Good luck in your future. Worst customer service experience ever. Epic Games do everything through email and refuse to call a customer to help them out. But each time you reply to an email a new representative gets it... so you can't actually hold a convo with a single person and accomplish anything. I've been trying to add a vbucks card to my son's account for 4 MONTHS and cannot get help with it. They ask me the same queations over and over again and never actually help me. I will never spend another dime on anything associated with Epic Games again.

Epic Games recently ripped me of by an Assassin Creed game. Without knowing or mentioning it anywhere, I bought the Russian game where I thought I was buying the English one. Anyway, I bought the game, downloaded it through the night. When I woke up, the game was downloaded and I was in the main screen. To my shock, it was in the Russian language. Fine I said, I'll try to fix it myself and change the language. To my shock, there was no English language. The interface couldn't be changed! Ok fine I said, I'll contact them and ask for a refund and then I'll buy the English version of it. And so I did. I contacted them. They said I've already played the game and according to their stupid policy, they won't refund it. I explained that I reaaally did not play it. Being in the main screen all night while I was asleep just because this stupid game downloads itself and then launches it, doesn't mean that I was playing it! But they said, it is what it is. And so I said thanks and BYE epic games. You'll never see me again. You just ripped me off legally. Stupid company. You lost me and lost a bunch of other people too.

AS A RESULT: did not get the Boogie Down - can not receive/send gifts - can not enter tournaments
SUPPORT HELP: 5 mails, from 4 different employees, repeating the same answer again and again, heating brick wall suggestions
BLAMING EPIC GAMES FOR: Not being clear with the procedure I had to follow, when I first connected to Fortnite
Not keeping things simple, for those who do not have hack abilities

Worst experience with customer service I have ever had. Did not help and was unwilling to help. There is no way on earth I have kept track of the things that is needed to verify my identity. My son is autistic and locked out of his game. We sat on the phone with the very helpful Nintendo customer service and had to be directed to Epic Games. Epic Games suggested the normal troubleshooting and after sending information back and forth through at least ten emails Epic Games now asked for this after they've had all my information: Please provide the following details to confirm your ownership:

• Your public IP address(es) (IPv4), which you can find by searching "What is my IP address" in your internet browser; if you use multiple devices, please include all IP addresses
• Date when you created your Epic Games account
• Locations (city, state/province) where you made purchases on the account
• Original display name for the account
• Last 4 digits of the first payment card used on the account
• Date of your last login
• Names of any PlayStation, Switch, Twitch, or Xbox accounts connected to your Epic Games account and the dates when they were connected
• The invoice ID or transaction number from your oldest Epic Games purchase
--The invoice ID is located at the top of your Epic Games receipt and begins with an "A," followed by eight (8) or nine (9) digits; example: A12345678.
--The transaction number can be found in your emailed Xsolla receipt. Please note that the number is a nine-digit string starting with a "4" or "5."

I don't know about anyone else but I 100% would not have all this information. Epic Games knows that and banks on me not filling out this information so they don't have to further assist me. There's no number so they don't have to deal with their customers. Hundreds of dollars have been spent on their stupid game that my child loves and now he can't use it. Worst. Customer. Service. Ever.

Epic Games customer support is the WORST I have ever experienced!. If I could give theme zero start I will do with all means...
When I contact them to let theme know that my son's account has been hacked instead of helping me Epic Games inactive my two accounts the PlayStation & the PC so required a list of security questions assume that they helping me to restore my account
I sent theme so much information such as IP address screenshot of the oldest purchases invoice,
(how can I keep an email from three years ago show a proof of purchase!), also the asked for last log in and last 4 digits of the credit card that used first time when I opened my account (which is 4 years ago!) etc. The list goes on. It seems to me you dealing with robots if you don't providing theme exactly of what they need as an accurate answer you doomed! So they still not convinced enough that I am the owner of the account

THE FUNY IS the hacker having fun hacking my account changing my display name in my EPIC Game and Epic support cannot do S. About it!. What a joke my TWO sons have spent 100s of dollars between the two the accounts for the last three years by buying v-box/skins. And has lost it all.im literally fuming.

Bad customer service, if you might lose v bucks but pay for them and you ask to get them back the ask for invoice id but what if you don't get one guess what Epic Games can't "help you." when I start telling them I just want my v bucks they say if I ask one more time they are going t take on my account I delete the conversation and I have to just live with my life knowing that I paid $50 for nothing so don't buy anything don't even try to get your v bucks back and I hope they see this.

I played 20 games in a row and didn't get the impostor. When I die. (FIRST OF COURSE) i have nothing to do except watch and do nothing so I just leave the game, plus no one ever give the right call because of the useless wheel that no one believes and there is no voice chat options... please make the followings:
1: make the option for voice chat please! 2: give my fellow ghosts in the game meaning! To do some tasks even tho we're dead. 3: third and last make an option for free chat, where we can write freely. This will make my life and more much more peaceful. Please and thank you: D

I am extremely disappointed with this platform, which wants to play in the top leagues but does not give itself the means...
My problem is, as the customer support at EpicGames have mentioned, "unique", and with "unique" problem, we expect a "unique" solution. Well, EpicStore's solution (after many and many mails and discussion) here has been to simply ask me to recreate an account and REDEEM all of my games (more than 40...)! There it would be long and tedious to describe the problem in detail, which is an imbroglio between the creator of an Epic account (in 2018), an error in the link email (by this creator) and an inconceivable weakness in the account security and in the management email attached to the account which led to the fact that without knowing it I recovered at the creation of an account (in 2020) the account of this famous creator of 2018 (without knowing it) and after 1 year of cohabitation on the same account (without knowing it again), a simple change of password triggered all a cascade of events and led to the fact that today I no longer have access to the account that I had funded with 40 to 50 of good games...
In short, if I have only one word, AVOID Epic Games, AVOID spending money on this platform as much as possible if you do not want to discover one day that you fund someone else's account... EPIC GAMES IS THE WORST GAME PLATEFORME EVER EXPERIENCED

I was recommended I make an account on Epic Games to play with one of my friends. Making the account was easy and straight forward enough to do, but when it came time to actually play the game? The word impossible comes to mind. I opened the game launcher as was required to play, and input my information. However it sent me to this "pick all the pictures with a bus in it" which were very small, impossible to enlarge, not to mention there were 2 pages of them?!
Needless to say I failed every single time to the point of being locked out of my brand new account.
I do not wear nor do I need glasses but those images were impossible to see even with me putting my face right up to the screen. Epic Games is absolutely not user friendly.

Some have said Epic is what steam needs, and I'm inclined to agree. However, Epic Games is fighting dirty. Rather than provide a better user AND developer experience with the vast amount of capital Epic Games have, they choose to bribe devs into exclusively using their store exclusively. Meanwhile the user experience means many people don't want to use it. $#*!ty UI (the friends list takes up a quarter of the home page and can't be minimized, for example), and lack of creature comforts from steam, like remote play or a simple option to review a game. Frankly, I just like steam more. Epic Games is a launcher and a store, much like uplay or origin, except they both have better UI (though Uplay not by much). Steam has taken the larger cut from developers, but reinvested it back into their platform. Remote play (allowing you to play pc games from your phone or tv), a large community section, mods, a cleaner UI that (thanks to epic games) has gotten better. Seriously, the only good epic has done is make steam start actually updating their client more regularly and not resting idly. To that I give them 1 star. However, removing consumer choice is not competition. It's a buyout. Funny thing is, devs may like it, but that's only half your client base. The other, larger half (though I wouldn't necessarily say more or less important) is users. There are users who will defend steam to the ends of the earth and worship Gabe as some kind of god. Obviously the latter is usually more of a joke, but when do you see people fervently do anything towards epic beyond simply vilifying it? There's a reason for that. Epic has tried to copy steam, but it made the fatal mistake of assuming steam is just a store front. Oh and they give free games I guess? That's not a bad idea, but I own most of the games they give out on steam.

I made the mistake of purchasing Metro Exodus from Epic Games. After finishing the game I then compounded the mistake by purchasing the DLC Sam's Story.
The game installed, but remained locked.

I contacted Epic Games to get it unlocked and Epic Games insisted that I send them all my personal information, including any social media I am subscribed to.

I then received an email from them informing me that there would be no refund since it has been two weeks since purchase and the game had been played for two hours.

I purchased the game three days ago and it couldn't be played at all because it was locked.

Epic Games is a spyware/scam site.

Avoid it and purchase from reputable gaming sites, such as Steam.

Of the many clients I use (Steam, GOG, Origin, Uplay) this is the worst.
Poor personalization, disorganized shop... just think that there is not even a wish list.
The interface itself is badly designed. When I use the PC I want a PC interface, not a console interface!

And then the reviews are missing. I trust a lot on the reviews of the players and the possibility to talk about it with the player himself.

This simply seems like an improvised shelter for developers. Of course, Epic will continue to stack users, but Epic Games will mostly be users who are not interested in buying games. Users who go there for free games.

In summary: website, client, content, marketing campaign... start all over again.

Epic games you guys have got to remove the minigun because it is waaaaayyyyyyyyyyy to op and if you guys don't remove it i's gonna be your fault when people start to delete it. And also I played it this morning expecting it to be amazing witch i thought it was just okay and it seems like you guys just want the money because if i want like 1,500 vbucks or something i have to pay 100 dollars! That would not even be worth it because im spending 100 real dollars for 1,500 fake dollars and the fact that its 10 gigabytes is insane because on my nintendo switch if want to download a new game it's always fortnite that's in the way even if the new game is not even 1 gigabyte fortnite is still in the way so fix the game before people delete it if you even care about the game!

Considering I have been through multiple issues on Fortnite and tried contacting support to never get any assistance, it leaves me amazed. Upon leaving a match of Fortnite and returning the Menu, somehow my account purchased a Big Mouth skin that I didn't even know was in the item shop and I had just enough V-bucks available to purchase leaves me stunned. Within 15minutes of the issue, I was speaking with their customer service, who after another 15 minutes finally informed me Epic Games could not assist. They even tried saying how they understand it can be hard to return to the Menu and basically tried blaming it on me. Just thought it was an easy fix on their end but apparently, nothing ever can be fixed by them.

If I could give these guys a 0/5 I would. I don't even know where to start... Their customer service is shady & shoddy. Epic Games use fake names like Apple Cider, and they have ZERO intentions of actually helping any of their customers.

I have an account that I let me daughter use -- I do not play the game myself even though I do enjoy playing other video games -- and I tried to surprise her for her bday by purchasing 2800 vbucks from their website on my phone under my account. The vbucks did not reflect on her Switch the next day so I emailed EG. In the meantime, since she was excited to use them, I ended up buying her 2800 directly through the Switch. When EG emailed me back, they explained that the purchase online doesn't actually apply to the account you purchased it for, but to the platform you purchase it on. What? So, I responded explaining what I was trying to do and that I would need a refund for my order since I already purchased the vbucks through the Switch. "Apple Cider" refused to help and refused to have the amount refunded, then had the audacity to say he hopes it doesn't hinder me from making future purchases. Well, of course it did! I just got ripped off from this joke of a company, why on Earth would I spend more money with them. I had to let my daughter know that they will no longer be getting a single penny from me. She understood because she too was irritated by the situation.

Honestly, it's extremely unfortunate that this company is kept in business. They are only in business because of their highly addictive game. I would compare this company to a tobacco company, except it is poison for the mind. If you're smart, you will stop giving this company money. Stick with Steam.

Back in January, I purchased Borderlands 3, I had played it for a little while and took a small break to enjoy other games, however, upon coming back the game was in my library but said I needed to purchase it to continue playing it.
I contacted epic games and despite showing proof of bank transfer, it is in my library along with DLCs, and the additional sites the game was linked too Epic Games refused to take that as proof and stole my £60.
Do not buy from this company, the best use they hold is the free games they feature every now and then.
