We called ERG ltd to repair a gas leak, but we were drastically overcharged and their engineer failed to repair it.
We paid £205 for an engineer to repair our gas pipe after our kitchen fitter accidentally drilled into it. However, the engineer who visited told us it was a hugely complicated job, said ERG would charge us a lot extra to fix it and suggested we come straight to him once we had a price from ERG so that he could undercut them. However he wouldn't tell us how much he thought it should be.
ERG still charged us the £205 even though all the engineer did was cap the gas, something the national gas service does for free. They then quoted us £714 for the repair, in addition to the £205 we'd already paid. This was appalling service. Clearly it was in the interest of this engineer to claim it was a complicated job, so that ERG would charge a lot and then he could do it for slightly less, directly.
We called someone else who said it was a straightforward job and did the repair in under 30 minutes for a fraction of the cost.
Terrible service and ERG refused to acknowledge that they misled us, not making it clear we would be charged regardless of the outcome of the visit.

Excellent plumbing service! Will definitely use them again in the future.

AVOID THIS SCAMMING COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
Paid £220 for a 5 minute misdiagnosis fault on a boiler. Than called me the next day with a quote of £800 to fix it. I called in a local engineer who fixed a loose wire for £65. Do some research on the directors and you will find this is the 3rd facility company they have set up. The previous 2 companies were dissolved owing thousands of contractors and suppliers thousands and thousands of pounds. These clowns are not qualified to run a bath let alone company and should be banned from operating.

I carried out two jobs and didn't get paid and know customers not charged 3 x as much .

My 18 year old son lost his key whilst I was on holiday ..
he phoned this company and was told it was £155 call out fee..
the engineer tried picking the lock with no success
He then went to the rear door and wiggled out the rear door key to allow my other son access with his key
This was then charged at £195
On my return I’ve realised the front door lock is damaged and I am unable to open the door from either side..
I’ve contacted erg they have told me the engineer has not done this damage and my 30 day guarantee has expired …

My washing machine was filling with water after switching off. ERG sent an 'engineer' to stop the leak. He knew nothing about washing machines. Incidentally he turned up 7 hours late and closed fhe hot water feed and also inadvertently closed the dishwasher cold feed. The result is that I am in the same condition. Water still leaking and for that I paid £135 plus. Scandalous.

They did a plug socket repair to one of our rooms here. We're very satisfied with how prompt they are with the schedule and immediately getting to work. 5 stars from us!

They installed a new instant hot water service a neat and tidy job done and they cleaned up when finished. Great customer service friendly competitive price and we were very happy.Highly recommended!
