Good expense programme. Easy to see where all claims sit
Overall, Expend is really easy to use and submitting expenses is fairly straightforward.
One improvement I think would be helpful would be to have different currencies and do the conversion rates automatically.
Expend works well for me as a cardholder within my organization. Purchasing is easy and completing expenses for accounting purposes is fairly straight forward either on the mobile app or on the desktop version.

It would be good, however, if certain fields could be custom marked as mandatory before employees are allowed to submit the expense.

From a Finance Manager perspective I find Expend extremely frustrating. This is particularly in the area of synchronisation with QuickBooks as I still have to go into every transaction and sort the nominal coding out as it doesn't move from uncategorised when I code and approve the transaction in Expend
The premise of the solution is good. But there are a lot of issues that occur with day-to-day usage.
The OCR is incredibly slow. Takes about 15 minutes on average to scan a receipt or invoice - that's just not a practical timeframe. The email route of uploading invoices basically never works (mostly just get stuck in pending mode and never actually get through that stage). When you upload invoices via app, and select the card you used and type of expense, it most often reflects differently when it ultimately uploads, but most often time fails to upload the receipt. The app needs to improve a lot. We have some Expend cards for our junior employees, but would switch everybody in the firm over to Expend cards if they were credit cards. Pre-pay cards are more work than they are worth.
