Definitely recommend
I have received Freshly for a while now. It is approx $12/meal when I order 6/week. Although that sounds pricey, it is worth it to me. The meals are very tasty and easy to prepare. Just microwave! I have a healthy appetite and Freshly actually fill me up. ALL their choices are GLUTEN FREE so I don't have to worry about that which is so amazing! They have a good selection and rotate the options. The calories are lower than what they would be if I cooked a similar dish. The deliveries come on time and well packed with recyclable materials. I don't have to spend time wondering what to cook or how much I'll spend extra at the grocery store. The ingredients are quality and they don't have weird additives. Whenever I work a bunch in a row, these guys are my go to. They're great! They have great customer service too. I chatted with Vince online and he helped me change my delivery address with ease. Everything about Freshly has been easy peasy.

Very inflexible on delivery dates!
I enjoyed Freshly very much! However, I am away from home most weekends, and by the time I get home, the meals were melted, and had to be thrown away because Freshly are delivered on Saturdays.

I contacted Freshly by phone and asked them if they could please change deliveries to Monday. The woman I spoke with said yes, and gave me an effective date, but Freshly continued to deliver on Saturdays beyond the effective date. After two weekends of throwing my deliveries away, I was forced to cancel. It's very unfortunate.

What's more, when I wrote to Freshly with my explanation for cancelling (and suggesting how to remedy the situation), they just went ahead and cancelled me, never seeming to want to budge from Saturday deliveries.

So, if you're not home many weekends, DON'T get Freshly! From my experience, they can't (or are unwilling to) alter the dates.

Good healthy food at a convenience!
We got started with Freshly because it was recommended by our son and wife who had been ordering from you for a while. We like having the meals ready to go in the refrigerator after a long day at work. So far we have been happy with almost every meal we have ordered and Freshly seem to be very fresh. We like having the variety of meals to choose from, and once in a while we try something new. Of course everyone's tastes are different, so there are a couple of meals that were not our favorite and we chose not to order them again. For the most part, we have enjoyed all the meals. It's also nice to have the option to skip a week if needed, which we have done. We have recommended Freshly to some other family members and they are looking into getting started and trying your meals themselves.

5 Stars for Nikki / 0 for Jordan
I reached out to customer service to resolve an issue where a promo code wasn't reflected in Freshly billed me on two orders despite being shown as applied and active on my account. The first representative I spoke with – Jordan – made me wait a prolonged period only before suggesting the issue was because I repeatedly attempted to apply a code I was ineligible for (which made zero sense because it was a comeback offer emailed to me by Freshly and the only reason I even resubscribed). If I was ineligible for the code, it probably wouldn't be applied to my account and reflected in my account settings. To make matters more frustrating, Jordan dropped out of the conversation as I responded to his flurry of messages. It was easily the most disappointing experience I've had with any customer representative in my life. Thankfully, I was connected with Nikki after submitting another help request. She was able to review my transcript with Jordan, identify the issue preventing the code from being applied, credit me for the previous weeks based on the promo, and help me ensure the remainder of the promo would be applied to future orders. I'd like to add she did all of this in less time than Jordan spent reviewing my account or whatever Freshly were doing. I went from concerned to angry (and 100% canceling my subscription lol) to grateful. Please – for the love of God – fire Jordan (or put them back in training), and give Nikki a raise and/or promotion.

Great customer service! Arjen is the man!
So I wasn't able to cancel my order on time due to the app not working properly (could be an ios15 update issue as opposed to the Freshly app. Not sure). I went through the text online customer service and after bypassing the automated responses, I was connected with Arjen. Arjen was very helpful, answered all my questions and without hesitation gave a full refund for my 6 meals. For Freshly and Arjen to do that, speaks volumes about the company. Freshly didn't even ask any questions about why it happened or anything. For all they know I could be a scammer trying to get something free but like I said, the refund was given without hesitation. I also asked about how to return my meals and Arjen told me that my meals were on them. Freshly lost out on not only 6 meals but also 60 something dollars plus shipping. If my finances change, pretty much because of the way this situation was handled, I will definitely return as a customer. Great customer service

Unique Dining
The dinners are better than expected. I bought the first week of dinners on sale, and just thought a microwaved product just wouldn't taste that good. So I wasn't expecting much more than what leftovers or frozen food in the microwave tastes like. What the hell, it wasn't expensive, within my food budget, and I wasn't signing a contract. Your food and spices and combinations and portions have been a pleasant surprise. It feels so decadent to have dinner in three minutes, and have balanced nutrients, and be really tasty. I live alone and have always cooked for myself, but normally threw food out because I grew tired of the stew or soup or having nothing defrosted so this is the best alternative I've seen. This is still new to me so if you keep up the uniqueness and taste of the dishes offered, I will continue to be a customer, and let others know.

Pre-cooked, Not Frozen - Great option for quick meals
Overall, I'm happy with Freshly. Their chicken is probably the best pre-cooked chicken I've ever had - always super moist, yet fully cooked. I probably like about 75% of their preparations, though I think the menu should change more. Typically they'll introduce a new dish once every week or two, leaving most of the other dishes there. I still like their menu approach better than the services that change the entire menu every week. Usually, delivery is not a problem, but during the holiday season Freshly had a lot of missed or late deliveries (they are really good about crediting the purchase if the delivery is late). Additionally, they really need to talk to their delivery service about keeping their boxes set on the proper side rather than standing them on end, which can completely mess up the dishes in the their trays.

Freshly changed my life for the better!
I tried other companies like Freshly before that were more costly per week and the quality and portion size that Freshly gives you is unmatched. I love that there is an application for the service and I can conveniently rate meals and change my order for the coming weeks. When you need help with something or have a question the Freshly team is always happy to help in the chat forum on the application, Freshly get back to you in a timely manner as well. The reason I choose Freshly is because I have Celiac disease and all of their meals are certified gluten free. This takes the hassle out of cooking and worrying about cross contamination. The only set back I have found from Freshly is that the maximum meals per peek is 12 and I wish I could get 14. I understand why 12 would be an ideal amount of meals for some people, IE a cheat meal, eating out, or one home cooked meal but I just love Freshly so much that I would love to eat it 7 days a week! This service has increased the quality of my life and I am confident that I am giving my body the healthy food that it has always deserved. Thank you!

Very understanding and great service.
I had some one lie to me about how great this service was and claimed Freshly offered way more than advertised. The guy said they double up your meals and sent them fresh each day. Turned out that non of that was true. The guy lied to me to get me to sign up so he could get a discount for referring someone.

This of course was not freshly's fault. Yet they took the issue as if it was and did every thing they could to fix the issue. I talked to their customer service. I said i was sorry and i knew it wasnt their fault. But i requested a refund and to send back the meals. For safety reasons they could not take back the meals. But they gave me a full refund and told me to keep the meals to try them out and gave me a 10$ discount if i wanted to try them again in the future. I was broke and was scared that my monthly budget was at risk. They did an amazing job. When i get back to work im going to give them a proper try and subscribe just off the way they handled it.

Delivery unreliability
I used Freshly over a 4 month time period. I loved it at first, portions were just right and taste was good. On July 4th I experienced my first failed weekly delivery. I received an email the night i was supposed to get the delivery and refund with $20 credit. Didnt think much of it due to the holiday. Around this time portions began to get smaller, I received a meal I didnt order, and my box got delivered to my neighbors one time. Luckily I caught it and brought it back. The last straw was 2 more failed deliveries in a row which left me scrambling to meal prep. Here in my denver area Freshly only offer 1 delivery day per week, so not getting these meals as expected was annoying. Not to mention the delivery would show up a day late at which time I was told by the company to dispose of it. Very wasteful. Canceled after this. Customer service was responsive but what good are credits if they never deliver?

Overall Review
I have ordered Freshly since I believe Feb of 2020. I am very happy with the service and the food. The meals arrive every Friday and when I get home from work Freshly are on my front stoop. I unpackage them and they are consistently well insulated within the box and iced to keep them cool until I unwrap and put them into the refrigerator. The quality of the food is awesome and well seasoned. There are several meals that do not appeal to me only because of my own issues. I must say I'm not sure where the Chicken comes from but it has to be the best tasting, most plump, and Grissel less chicken I have ever had. This service works well for me since I'm single and it can get very hard to cook a decent meal for one person, unless you want to eat the same meals all week, which I used to do but gets old. Everything about Freshly I'm very satisfied and will continue to order cause it works well for me.

Fantastic Customer Service!
I received the wrong set of meals today, a first in more than 2.5 years of service. I contacted the on-line chat in the support menu, which responded immediately and put me through to "a human" (that made me laugh). Freshly simply asked that I take a photo and I received a full refund immediately. I spoke specifically with someone named August, who was very professional, apologetic, and worked quickly, something I always appreciate. I love this meal delivery service- the food is incredibly well made, delicious and healthy (I have lost 18 pounds eating well, though that was not the intended purpose of my subscription- I am fully satiated after eating a perfectly well balanced meal, I just add a piece of fruit). I have been pleased at the increasing variety, and I haven't had one meal I didn't like (a lot). That's saying quite a bit for nearly 3 years with an expanding menu. Keep doing what you're doing, Freshly!

Freshly Review
Freshly has made my life so much easier! No more stopping at a fast-food place to pick up an unhealthy dinner on the way home from work - now I have food ready and waiting for me when I get home. I have great and tasty options to choose from (I like flavorful food) - it only takes 3 min - and no dishes! This is ideal for a single on-the-go person!
The online ordering process is easy and simple. Hardest part is to remember to update my order by Friday evening, but even if I forget I still receive 6 fresh meals. There are a good variety of protein choices - chicken, beef, pork. (would like more seafood options though)
Another benefit is the pricing - Freshly is very economical. Not only are the meals cheaper than many take-out options, but because the portions are adequate, I snack less in the evening.
Delivery and packaging are great. Parcels are delivered right to my doorstep and the food stays cold due to the gel packs.
One more benefit - Freshly deliveries has really made the COVID-19 stay at home situation easier for me. I do not have to go out to the supermarket or restaurants often at all. It has really been convenient.

Top Notch Service
Talk about top notch, Nordstrom level service! Due to inclement weather my order was unable to be delivered. While it's not my fault, it isn't/wasn't Freshly's fault either. I was just inquiring to see if the meals could still be sent or if Freshly could be donated, etc. Before I could even ask what was next, they did a full refund and a credit for the inconvenience. It was so easy and so nice! I won't lie, I started Freshly in January because I was tired of cooking dinner for my partner and I through the Covid Pandemic. But immediately, I fell in love with the quality and flavor of the meals. Ingredients that we can read, quality we can enjoy, flavors we love! It's now mid-February, and I don't see us quitting Freshly anytime soon! Thanks for making life a little more enjoyable each weeknight, Freshly!

Fantastic company with healthy meals
This company is great for my family. I love these meals when I have to go to work. Its convenient and easy to cook up while away from home. Plus I save money and have something healthy to eat. My son enjoys the meals because Freshly are easy to make and I know he's finally eating something healthy. My mom loves these meals when going out to work or just at home when we don't feel like cooking big meals for everyone. The company is responsive and accommodating, especially when deliveries don't always come through for weather reasons. Its nice to skip weeks for financial convenience and to try out new recipes that are provided on a rotational basis. I have suggested this company to coworkers and friends, especially if they have health issues, are single and don't like to cook. Overall, the company is doing a great job and my family greatly appreciate this service.

Pheter is a great listener
I have recently become very frustrated with the new, all bad packaging change to the freshly meal deliveries. The older packaging was clean, simple, sturdy, and very recyclable. The paperboard was free of unnecessary bleach and had minimal ink printing, making it easy to shred and compost. The black plastic trays were sturdy and rigid and the lining never peeled off when the film was removed. The new packaging is inferior to all of those attributes, as if someone in the packaging dept was intentionally trying to make a worse product. The plastic and bleach and unnecessary images printed on the paperboard render it uncompostable, garish, and frankly it creates a disappointing disconnect between the picture perfect food on the label and the actual meal within the box. I just want freshly made prepackaged meals, not disappointment. On top of that, the new white plastic trays are extremely flimsy, and the plastic lining within the tray peels up every single time the film is removed. This creates quite a mess with more liquid meals involving gravy or green beans. The flimsy, messy trays have the audacity to have "go green" embossed on the bottom despite being a bleached version of the same polypropylene as the black trays. It is not "going green" to waste food from the tray collapsing in the hand almost every time. Please undo this terrible, terrible mistake and restore Freshly to its rightful state as a manufacturer and distributor of high quality, no frills prepared meals without excessive marketing nonsense on the package. We've already purchased the food, you delivered it to us, we don't need further enticement.

Tasty Fresh Meals
I first tried Freshly when I started working from home in a remote mountain location that took at least 25 to 30 minutes to get to a store. It seemed like a good option for a quick lunch or dinner if I didn't want to make the trip to town and nice since I lived alone and easy to waste food on cooking for one. I would say that I've tried at least a dozen meals and Freshly all were very tasty except for one and that was more I didn't care for the spice. I now have moved closer to civilization and share a house with my boyfriend. He was hesitant to try at first as he is very skeptical on microwave meals but was very impressed (our favorite is Peppercorn Steak). While we can't afford to have every week, we enjoy getting some meals every few months. It is nice you can skip as often as you need. If you've been thinking about trying, I say go for it with 2 thumbs up.

Great Service but the Food is Disgusting
I tried Freshly back in September to try to have some easy options for healthy foods in single portions. I signed up for the 12 meal plan because it was the most economical (although still approx $9 per meal) and excitedly picked a range of meals from the expansive online menu. I had to wait about 10 days for the first delivery in order to snag a Sunday.

The food arrived on time, but in a ridiculously large, heavy box, which I had to lug up 4 floors into my walkup apartment. I promptly unpacked it because it took up so much space and was leaking, and dragged the bag out to the trash.

From the first meal through the last, the food was thoroughly disappointing. Everything was salty and had a strange, acrid flavor to it. Some of the meat was ok (particularly the steak pecorino) but the rest of it was about the quality and consistency of a microwave meal. The vegetables and sides (mostly grains) were limp, soggy, and the portions were sparse.

I forced myself to finish all 12, to justify the money that I had spent and promptly cancelled my subscription.

Satisfying for now
Not five stars because most meals are high in sodium, many with over 1,000 mg of the stuff, and low-carb meals are not plentiful. I also avoid beef and pork, further limiting the choices. That said, I've identified the six low-carb chicken meals with the lowest sodium content, and Freshly are tasty, filling and nutritious. I also like the price (under $9 ea.) and the delivery and microwave convenience. The website is easy to navigate and gives complete nutrition info. So, I'm happy with the same six meals every week, at least until I can eat out again without endangering my health. That's six prepared meals that are far better than frozen dinners from the grocery. But I see one of the regular meals is missing for next week, with another meal duplicated as a substitute, so that's not cool, but if that doesn't happen every week I'm okay with it. I just hope Freshly and its suppliers hold up under this pandemic.

Freshly!. Or Freshly?
Received a coupon for 12 meals from Freshly as a gift and I did order and receive the meals with no issue. Meals came in one box well packaged and cold with plenty of ice. I ate all 12 meals and I would say I enjoyed 9 of the 12 meals. The ones I enjoyed were not just edible, but I really liked them. As far as portion size, I'm a grown man over 6' and fit, one is not enough for lunch or dinner. The couple meals I did NOT enjoy included full breast chicken meals. The chicken just didn't seem like one I would buy myself and make, I will not reorder those meals. Otherwise so far so good, I would recommend and order again. Certainly better tasting and for you then fast food. Plus I love the convenience coming home late night and only having to microwave it for a few minutes. I thought the microwave would ruin the food, as I usually prefer the toaster oven, but these actually work well with it. Definitely worth a try at least.

Great compromise of taste and health!
Keep in mind that this review is coming from a guy who inhales double "Baconators" and double "Bacon Kings" all the time. I generally detest health food because of bad taste or lack of flavor. Vegetables have never been attractive to me. That said, I'm thrilled to have Freshly now! Their chefs are wizards that season the dishes very well while keeping carbs and salt low. I like some meals more than others but I haven't had one yet that I couldn't eat in its entirety. Even the veggies are delicious. Overall, I'm super impressed by what they're able to achieve. Unless you've got serious culinary skills, you could spend hours destroying your whole kitchen and your food still won't be as healthy. Only knocks I have are the delivery days aren't set-in-stone and that makes having two subscriptions difficult to manage. Also, portions are a little small as I'm a big guy. 500-600 calories might be enough for small people but might I suggest "Freshly XL" with 800-1000cal portions. I'd pay a couple more dollars per meal to not have to seek out less-healthy snacks to supplement. Still, it's outstanding food, it's FRESH, it's REAL, and you can pronounce every ingredient. Oh and by the way, the convenience cannot be beaten even by fast food or delivery. It's like your fridge is full of delicious leftovers.
