Ordered my items 2 months ago and still have nothing, no contact from them at all to explain why except the rep (lies) to the emails and phone calls initiated by me with the last one being Saturday the 29th of July where the customer services representative promised me he would email directly after my phone call giving me the updated delivery time of beginning of August, guess what, it's now Monday morning and I'm still waiting.
Worst customer service ever!
Was contacted by them (first time ever) on the Monday after this review with the acknowledgment that 2 months was too long to wait and to give them 1-2 days to investigate, well here we are 5 days later from their email and yes you guessed it nothing at all from them!
This company has basically stolen my money and lied to me from the first contact with them, avoid at all costs!
The Saturday after the above happened I received a phone call from a them telling me that my order was in the warehouse and it would be despatched with urgency at the beginning of the week, here we are at Thursday and nothing from them!
We are now at the 27th of November (yes this has been going on for 6 months) and I have just cancelled the 3rd replacement table with this lot as the first two were damaged, obviously no quality control.
Furniture In Fashion told me 2 weeks ago it would be delivered by their supplier but as usual I have to go looking for info from them, they then tell me that their supplier didn't send it, no reason why and no answers to the questions i asked them particularly about my full refund and some compensation for the 6 months I've had to wait for a bloody coffee table. All they asked me was the old table in it's original packaging for pick up.
The WORST company I have ever had to deal with in my whole life, avoid like the plague!
2 days more have now passed and no reply back asking about my refund, only message I got from them was to ask to put a label on the package and to warn me that there will be a 35 GBP charge if I'm not in when the courier comes, after all I've been through with this company that is just brass necked at its best
I have an email stating that they will send parts when i leave review - told i wouldnt review until sorted. After numerous calls, and umpteen circles of going round - they tried to re-start the process of their ticket system - despite me already havign email saying parts would be sent.
Not surprising i was not happy by now, and decided to leave negative review. Within 2 mins of the review being posted, I had a chap on the phone telling me that if i did not remove the feedback, or put it as 5* then they would not send the parts at all.
Needledd to say - I have informed Trading Standards of this, as this is called 'unfair business practice' and id not legal in the uk. I informed FIF that i was contacting trading standards. Needless to say - i got an email 20 mins later - telling me the parts have been requested from the manufacturer... They still have a 1* review thos. And now this neg. Obviously I will NOT be changing my review, as this is fact of how I have found them as a company to deal with
I was put off this company before I made my purchase - one of those websites where you must create an account before even finding out the postage charges. I made the order only because I could find nowhere else that sold the same product. Big mistake!
The item arrived damaged and I then tried to contact the company. The only way to contact them is through their website and that website is only available during office hours! You cannot send a message or read their response outside of office hours! Unbelievable.
Furniture In Fashion told me they would send a replacement and collect the damaged lamp but the driver came just to collect with no replacement. I had already taken 2 days off work and was now fed up with dealing with these incompetent people so I asked for a refund.
After about 2 months of arguing with them they finally refunded my money after taking off £40 for delivery and collection. £40 to return a damaged product!
Avoid this company at all costs!
Came flat pack in 8 large boxes which was as expected. On building the unit i discovered in the last box a small door which had a manufacture issue. I contacted customer support. Furniture In Fashion asked for photographs showing the problem which I sent. They then sent me an email saying i had built the unit and this did not conform to terms and conditions end of.
Very poor service I paid £1000 for the unit and i cant finish it. Would not buy from them again. All i can say is buyer beware.
- The delivery
The provider Furniture In Fashion used was awful, they expected to be able to deliver Monday to Friday and there was nowhere to collect the goods from. The driver didn't turn up the day it was meant to be delivered after my partner went through the stress and effort of getting 11:30 to 15:30 off at work.
- Missing parts in the product so couldn't be built
Two parts were missing and therefore, we had a half built tv stand in the living room. In the instructions there is no count of parts so there's no way of knowing if you have everything until you start building it.
- Reporting the missing parts to be sent them
You have to call their customer services to be sent a link to their 'ticket system'. Then you have to report the issue on their separately and give them every bit of information you can imagine- order number, price of the product, name of the product, date you ordered the product. It takes forever... Then you receive a ticket number and they insist on you sending them a copy of their instructions! I. e. You have to scan a copy of their instructions?! Every time you 'communicate' with them you have to login to their ticket system which doesn't work.
All of this is not worth the furniture, trust me.

Item Ordered: Daytona Round Glass Dining Table With 4 Collete Black Chairs
Order Total: £354.96
Order Date: 11th July 2018
Delivery Date: 17th Sept 2018
Delivery Company: Furdeco Home Delivery
I called Furniture in Fashion when enquiring about the Daytona Round Glass Dining Table With 4 Collete Black Chairs and was confidently informed that it was in stock. I was advised that the items delivery is 8 - 10 days.
Having discussed this with my other half, I later proceeded by ordering the items on line and once the order was confirmed, hell broke loose! I was informed that the Collete Black Chairs were no longer in stock and that the delivery will now be in Mid-August. I was instead offered White, Cream and Red colour Collete Chairs that were in stock or alternatively I should choose from Vesta' range or Opal' range in black colour. By no means I was ready to accept items that were not popular or have been in stock for ages. I raised various complaints based on the misled information when enquiring about the items (the initial delivery date of 8 10 days was a lie indeed) and since I was stuck between a hard place and a rock, I had no choice but to accept the offered 10% discount (instead of full cancellation) based on the revised delivery date of Mid- August 2018.
Time came and went by and was again informed that due to manufacturing delays in Germany (another lie), the items will be delivered in early Sept. At this stage I had enough really as I was travelling to and from overseas for work and had no energy to argue due to time difference and restricted means of communication. Eventually the items were delivered on 17th Sept 2018, i. E. more than 2 months down the line!
Furdeco Home Delivery are not the best to deal with and seems not to understand logics at times. I was abroad and requested them to deliver the items to my work place which is open Mon Fri from 0800 hrs to 1700 hrs. Furniture In Fashion still bombarded me with various messages to confirm availability, etc. All they needed to do was to drive to my work place and deliver the items, very simple in deed unlike for home deliveries where there is a need to confirm if the individual is at home or not.
When assembling the furniture, I discovered that one of the rivets joints for the chair frames was not welded in one end correctly. Again, I raised further complaints and was offered a discount after I corrected the fault myself (this was an easier and faster option than going through the pain of a new delivery).
I would summarise Furniture in Fashion as follow:
Pros:
Easy to communicate with, by phone and emails.
Will send you regular email updates.
Can offer discount for late delivery, faults, etc.
Cons:
Items delivered more than 2 months after the actual order date instead of 8 10 days as initially promised.
I strongly feel they were dishonest by giving me incorrect delivery dates and failure to declare that the items were actually not in stock to begin with.
Even though they will update you regularly, you will end up being bombarded with many automated messages. This can be minimised to avoid further annoyance.
You have to fight for the discount and the initial offers are so low it just ends up upsetting you further.
I believe the items were not manufactured in Germany due to the faults I came across (another false information, I think items were made in China).
When accepting the compensation, I was told that there will be no further opportunity to raise any other complaints due to my acceptance this was a bit cheeky and unnecessary really!
Conclusion:
If you have patience and can cope with late delivery and email flooding, then you may buy from Furniture in Fashion. At least they will not take you to the cleaners and the item will eventually arrive albeit in a condition that may require rectification.
Simply the worst online shopping experience I've ever had. I've been accused of incorrectly assembling an item that Furniture In Fashion sent to me fully assembled. I've been told that their suppliers don't make faulty items so there is no way they can be faulty. I've been sent numerous emails from their online ticket system, the tickets close on their own, won't accept replies and all email addresses bounce straight back. Phoning doesn't help either, staff won't put you through to customer service and can be downright rude. I've sent letters threatening legal action and been contacted promptly to say they will resolve the issue on 3 occasions, only for nothing to happen and be told once again that it was my fault.
I've never experienced customer service anywhere near as bad as furniture in fashion. Simply awful. Would seriously recommend you avoid them!
Furniture In Fashion sold me nearly £500 worth of goods which were advertised as grey and the colour showed a lovely light grey but when they arrived they were dark grey, almost black.
We asked for a return and collection and was told we had to pay £80. This is no fair as the product is nothing like what we ordered. These clowns are just cowboys and need to be stopped.
We are going to report to trading standards and continue to leave reviews until we get a refund.
Absolute disgrace. Do not purchase from this company. They have said the colour is variable and within an acceptable range. Please see photos of items advertised online and the actual colour. They have told us that this is the inside of the unit but it's not. We have sent photos and videos of both inside and outside. They just keep asking for one more photo of this or one more photo of that. Criminals that's what they are stealing my money.
