We reported fraud of an IT freelancer (booking hours, getting paid, but no code delivered) Never got a reply from the platform, and the bad review about the freelancer was never published

Hey.
Basically, I hired a "professional" who supposedly would do my job easily in 2 weeks.
After the first week, I got nothing but he didn't charge me.
After the second week, he said the project was almost complete and sent me a "fake photo" and he requested half of the payment in the ithire.

After that, he stopped answering (I have a lot of screenshots) and didn't send me anything. I talked with the iThire support exposing this case, and Ithire said they couldn't do anything.

So basically, he didn't do anything, requested half of the payment and ithire can't do anything. They don't defend the customers. They defend the sellers. This guy is still selling on the platform after I opened a ticket saying that he scammed me.

Just go to another website like Fiverr or upwork where they only pay the seller if the customer gets the work done.

I hired 2 freelancers and Ithire did a good job but why ithire doesnt keep the rate i am hiring someone to be a secret for other freelancers. The second freelancer saw that the first one was working with twice more rate and he got upset and angry on me that I did so for the same job. This should be changed urgently

These are trying times for everyone, I had a reduced amount of work at my jo, and I realised I had to find more work to survive. I signed up on multiple sites, but IThire turned out to be the best. I registered on IThire platform, did a job post of Dgango developer, I found a professional freelancer Richard Miller, he handled my project fully, I was satisfied, then we decided to add another freelancer Thomas Wesley to work on another part of my project, but there was a problem we found out that I couldn't invite another freelancer at that time and so I had to give my personal login password to the freelancer to join my project asap.

3. All the profiles are clearly stock images and fake
4. I bet you got invited to this platform by a russian lady with incredible creds from a legit freelancer site (upwork, freelancer.com etc...)
5. Why not ask if you can pay more, and stay on upwork and see what happens.

Scroll down to see the 'jurisdiction of law' and it is Georgia. I was approached on another platform by a person with an excellent profile.
Once on this platform, the person claimed to be based in Germany, but never knew anything about it or what was going on - even the 'weather' - because Ithire hadn't looked out side.
Delivered poor work. I challenged them on email and they quickly terminated the contract and started a new one on the IT Hire platform. I guess this was intended to trigger a payment. Contacted the platform but despite promising to respond in 5 mins, I still do not have a response.
Looks like a scam site at worst or at best a site with zero controls on freelancing consultants.
Their terms mean that to raise a dispute you have to pay the consultant and then request a refund. Lots of other suspicious behaviour.
Avoid this site and people who invite you to use this site. Very dodgy.

I found this platform a year ago and worked with 2 friends here. I took a risk and hired them on this portal for a long-term project. It was a multi-player Game and would take 2-3 months of hard work.

The issue was my company started use Amex cards and Ithire didn't accepts Amex support told only option to use Amex I need to attach it PayPal and use with PayPal

As others described, this smells of a scam by trying to siphon contracts off of Upwork.

I was in contact with a potential candidate I found via Upwork. She had a stellar profile and fit our requirements very well, so I scheduled an interview. Then her Upwork profile was deleted so I asked for a link to a new profile to review her skills and experience before the interview. She sent a link to ithire.com because Upwork fees are too expensive.

At face value it seemed similar to Upwork, but certain site features don't work at all (search/filter freelancers for one) and 100% of the freelancers and job history had 5/5 ratings (a red flag). I pushed back and said we could work out an agreeable hourly rate to offset Upwork fees, then she claimed she can't get a new Upwork account for 2-3 months.

Lastly I said I would be willing to consider working with her on ithire.com, but would need verification by having her provide pictures of her photo ID and her holding it and a piece of paper with today's date. This is a pretty standard request. Legitimate people don't mind doing it for some of our jobs on Upwork because Ithire see our outstanding established history, but she just completely stopped responding.
