- I’m a student using the Jimmy joy bars to stave off hunger when there’s no time to eat or no food available in the evenings in the library
- Pro: very very convenient, and I don’t have to feel bad about eating expensive junk food (which would be the alternative).
-Pro: Previously I was losing weight because I ate so infrequently, the bars help cause I just have something at hand when I’m hungry
- Con: taste is only good for very few bars (fig&almond, caramel ), somewhat ok for most bars and really bad for one (pizza).
- Con: bars contain quite a bit of sugar (6g sugar per 100g). The whole “look, there’s healty Vitamin something in here” matters way less to me than reducing sugar
-Request: it would be nice to have more choice in the composition or of the boxes, because I want some variety but still avoid the bars I don’t like (vanilla and pizza)

1. Nutrition: I'm not an expert, but the higher-protein variant works better for me than the lower-protein, or Soylent. I have slightly more energy in the morning and slightly less hunger before lunch.
2. Taste/texture: I've tried Jimmy Joy plain and chocolate. Neither one of them taste amazing: a bit like a less-fake, less-smooth Soylent. The chocolate in particular tastes a lot like so-so pea-protein energy bars, in that the cocoa flavour doesn't compete well with the pea protein. I plan to combine the unflavoured/unsweetened version with Huel (whose flavours I like) but am still working through my supply of chocolate.
3. Availability: During the covid pandemic, at least, availability in the US has been spotty. I started with a subscription for chocolate because it was the only high-protein one available. I switched to unflavoured just as Russia invaded Ukraine, which may have been a factor in delaying availability for about a month. Since both the pandemic and the war are still technically ongoing, I wouldn't be surprised if availability continues to have hiccups.

All in all, for a first order, I'm quite pleased.
The shakes are delicious, all three flavours that I've tested! Coffee, apple/cinnamon, and banana. All the flavours taste natural and not excessively sweet, perfect for daily consumption.
The pots have been a bit hit or miss so far, but they've been a convenient meal option when I want to *eat* something quick. Need to try more of these to decide 100% if I want them to become a regular part of my diet.
Alongside the food and shakes I got a really cool booklet that gave me better insights on Jimmy Joy products, a measuring cup, and a shaker bottle due to it being my first purchase. This is a nice detail that helps me immediately get started with Jimmy Joy products, hassle-free.
The delivery time was within the promised bounds, but considering that I live in The Hague I was surprised at how long it took. I've seen reviews from customers in amsterdam saying it usually arrived the next day, or even the evening of. Tracking the package, it seemed to have been stalled somewhere between Jimmy Joy and Budbee for several days.

This was my first order and I chose the Plenny Shakes. I was curious about the idea of a liquid lunch that was nutrient and vegan. I'm not vegan, but I'm very sensitive to the environmental costs of farming.
Shipment was very quick, there was a little spill of product from one of the bags but nothing tragic.
I appreciated the little receipt at the end of the booklet that was included. Being Italian means I'm used to cooking, and simply mixing and enjoying is not enough satisfying XD. Joking aside, the idea to add fresh fruit and vegetables to the Plenny Shake is great.
I've just tried Vanilla and Strawberry now mixing them with rice drink, with and without fruit and I'm happy with the taste and the floury texture is not disturbing. I admit that 2 scoops without any "solid" addition leave a bit of hunger...

I returned as a customer after around 5 - 6 years, I initially stopped using them because I found product information misleading and service generally ok but often missing the mark.
Issues.
1. missing (required) items from the order.
2. Shaker smelled like burned plastic, I was informed that they are sealed in packaging straight from the factory (mine was not even in packaging just loose)
3. Took 3 days to get a reply about this from live chat.
4. When it arrived I got a note in the box saying that they are not using the same oats so the product may be different, ... would have been good to tell me that in advance before purchase.
The bottom line, the product itself is fine I suppose, but it feels like an art department has been let loose to run the company and the attention to detail is very much missing.

JJ has been reliably supplying me with my daily bread since the End of 2016. The shakes are my 24/7 food source with very rare exceptions of 'regular' food in between. I prefer it pure and neutral (especially sweetener free) so the neutral shakes are my way to go. A major step back in 2019 was the cancellation of the Plenny Shake Neutral since the given alternative of the Plenny Shake Active Neutral is a step down in texture, taste and especially digestibility; but I got it working by adding psyllium husks (thanks to the doc). So in the end JJ is my food provider of choice without ever feeling required to look for alternatives.

I was looking for a way to save time and money at work lunch, while possibly improving the quality of my food, in terms of balance of nutrients and healthiness. I decided to try Jimmy Joy and so far I am satisfied: the taste is good, the price affordable and in the short term the meals seems to be good for my body. Looking forward to check my body status in the medium long term, I am confident that I found the way to balance most of the aspects that matters to me in terms of nutrition. Thanks Jimmy Joy for keep improving the quality of your foods, I am already recommending you to a number of friends of mine.

First of all, the shopping experience was great. The website was quite easy to navigate, and the information was very transparant. Furthermore, it's a local company, and I always love to support more local brands. They have many discounts for loyal customers, which is great! And it's amazing that they are very environmentally friendly.
However, there are a couple of problems that I have with the products. In my opinion, the scoop is too large which makes the drink splash everywhere. I would recommend choosing the larger shaker to minimise splashing. However, this problem is obviously removed if you add the powder first. I must add, splashing is very minimal, anyways, but it is a bit annoying.
I think the shakes are quite tasteless. Moreover, the shakes thicken really fast, so you have to drink it quickly. Unless you want something very viscose flowing into your mouth.
However, this is where the booklet comes to the rescue. They give a number of hints to make it taste better, which is amazing. In the end, I came up with using soy milk and cinnamon, anise, cacao powder. This tasted pretty good. But, this increased the prep-time and the costs drastically.
The low cost and the founding country was initially the reason why I decided to switch from one brand to this one. But, now that the costs have almost doubled, due to the extra ingredients to give it any taste. I will be switching back. I truly hope you can improve the taste, so I can come back to your product one day. Because I liked everything, but the product, which is quite important for me. Jimmy Joy sent me a bar to try out, which was nice of them.
I love the company, but I don't like their shakes. However, I haven't tried them all.
Ps. There are some edits, because I left some things out, and some parts were untrue. Also, after I had posted the review, customer support was very quick in refunding. Including shipping costs! Which is amazing.

I use Jimmy Joy because I was told by my doctor after digestive surgery that I was going to need to have a high-fiber diet, pretty much forever. But I also exercise almost every day and need a lot of protein. Jimmy Joy makes sure I conveniently get plenty of both while still enjoying eating and not breaking the bank.
I get 2 boxes of Caramel/Sea Salt and a Variety box of Plenny Bars so I can have one almost every day to make sure I get a good baseline of fiber and protein regardless of how my day goes. I would highly recommend them.
I also get the Active 3.0 Plenny Shake (Chocolate or Vanilla) because the value is great and you can have as little or as much as you like depending on how the rest of your day went. I usually have a 1.5 serving one for dinner or a .5/1 serving shake as a snack at some point. I also mix it with Oat Milk if I feel like I need extra calories due to exercising; that bumps my dinner shakes to ~850 calories.
So I eat lunch free at work and have a small breakfast. I consume about ~2300 calories a day. I pay ~120 Euro for a month and a half of food from Jimmy Joy. I only spend maybe 20 Euros at the grocery store once a week now, so financially Jimmy Joy was a great decision for me. Plus, they have pro/pre-biotics and the food is plant-based and healthier than I was previously eating, all of which help my digestive issues as well. Highly recommend all the mentioned products.
My only very minor complaint is the Shakers: they are good quality but impractical if you don't have a dishwasher. I can't get those things clean for the life of me because of the way the parts fit together and create super small crevices. I use a standard protein shaker instead.

I wish I could give a better review because the customer service representative was very friendly, but unfortunately my starter box order was delivered late due to supply issues, which wouldn't have been a big deal but then when it finally arrived it was missing a t-shirt, and honestly most of the products taste like shredded cardboard. It's edible.
The exception is the Jimmy pots. So far I've only had the creamy Cajun and the Tikka Masala, and both were acceptably tasty, on par with cheaper brands of Asian instant noodles but presumably much healthier, so if I would make a suggestion I'd recommend focusing on improving on and marketing the Jimmy Pots and over the rather uninspiring drinks, bars and shakes, as well as tighten up the supply, packing and delivery pipeline. The branding is fun and attention grabbing though so good job on that as well.

Hi! I have been eating Jimmy Joy for over two weeks now 🥰 your food is awesome! I the taste is good and I love when the liquid food is thick and the bars are crunchy 🥹 I have just one thing, that one thing that does not allow me to give you 5 stars wholeheartedly - the majority of products are sweet! I am a person who loves savory foods, salty foods and spicy foods. Pots are awesome from that perspective! I would ask you this: why is there an option for all sweet bars pack (12 or 6) but no option for the pizza bar? I loved it so much!! The best one REALLY! If you add the option I promise, I will order more, but for now I just miss salty foods so much :/ But there is one other thing that I wanted to point out: I LOVE the fact that there is much much less waste that I leave behind 😍 Thank you!

There are probably many ways to use Jimmy Joy. I use it in two main roles:
1. I have a Plenny shake for breakfast every day. Because who has the time for cooking breakfast, right? This makes sure I'm not hungry until at least the early afternoon. It's also a good opportunity to increase my fibre intake, by adding fibres to the shake.
2. I always have a couple of Plenny bars on me. In case I'm stuck somewhere where getting a meal is not easy, or when I travel. I always take the bars on aeroplane rides, so I don't get tempted to buy the in-flight snacks (Tip: take them out during the security screening, they sometimes trigger a secondary screening of the hand luggage. That makes sense - they're made of organic matter and very energetic, so they might be confused for explosives). Also - hiking.
I pretty much integrated them into my life.

I first tried PlennyShake when they named it Joylent. I started by days with it and it saved me tons of time.
I like the taste, the texture, and how easy it is to make a meal.
Now that I'm back to Europe again, I decided to try it again and ordered 100€ worth of it.
I had it for breakfast for three days in a row, and then started having digestion issues. Stopped for a couple of days and tried one again yesterday – immediately made my stomach upset.
Either they have changed the formula (I don't recall soy protein in it, but well, I first tried many years ago), or something has changed in my body.
But all in all, I'm not happy with the product now. I blame it all in soy protein, but it is just a guess

Your call for honesty really got me :D
I am a big fan of JimmyJoy because I tend to stop eating meals in the summer and therefore wrecking my digestion circuit. I started with shakes and now really enjoy Bars too. With my last order, I tested out the instant meals and am quite happy.
In my opinion, the meals are a bit pricy (around 4€/400kcal sounds nice but you need at least 1500kcal a day so 15€/day) but still other factors like waiving products from animals or engineering the meals to fit perfectly our needs outweighs this mostly for me.
Another little, very personal critique would be the number of emails I receive. I do like the newsletter and often read through your articles, but it's around 30% too much for my taste.
Thanks for keeping up the good work and asking for honest reviews!

I love your product. I practically live off plenny shakes. 2 out of 3 meals are plenny shakes! I did blood works with my doctor before starting this diet, and about 9 months after. And my cholesterol is better, as are all my other values! I dont have to take ekstra vitamins anymore and its great! I feel much healthier and love that i dont have to cook anymore, i also dont feel like eating is a chore, but no more! The only other meal i eat is a smoothie so i dont eat solid food anymore and its great. My bowels are happy and so is my tummy! The only gripe i have is that you often include extra spoons, booklets and sticker in my orders when i have not asked for it. I am very carefull about waste and dont like to have unnecasery waste.

I do love the product, but I oftentimes have trouble with using your website - it can be slow, I'm frequently being logged out of it and have to log in again and go through the verification steps. Also, when I'm updating any info on your website (for example, my address or subscription details), there is never any confirmation message, so I always have to double-check if the changes have been saved. Sometimes I'm even logged out, whilst trying to change some info. To be honest, it can be very annoying and there have been times when I've decided not to go through with the order just because of the issues with the website.

Jimmy Joy has saved my life. This makes perfect nutrition easy, effortless, delicious, & affordable. I exclusively live on this stuff. I just add a daily potassium supplement capsule and sprinkle in some sodium to a couple servings and my life is complete.
People ask me why don't I just eat food? Well I have tried that. I have achieved perfect nutrition by eating food but it is extremely difficult & expensive, and going into grocery stores & restaurants is maddening because of all of the junk food they have there. I don't even want to see junk food.
Jimmy Joy is perfect and has taken all the stress out of eating. Perfect nutrition is essential to me, and Jimmy Joy is perfect.
Jimmy Joy, I ask only one thing of you: if Nestle ever offers you millions or billions or trillions, DON'T EVER sell yourselves to them. Please stay pure & perfect & ethical as you are, caring about your customers. Your customers need you & LOVE YOU ❤️

I'm on my third week of the Plenny shake. I have been taking it from Monday to Friday as breakfast (only one scoop 200kcal) and lunch (two scoops 400Kcal). I enjoy some other meals during the weekends :). As I have been taking them only 5 days a week, I have not noticed any drastic change in my weight, I guess in this way I will maintain my weight more than what I will lose. However, the improvements in my overall digestion are insane!!!
First of all, after drinking my shake I stay full for at least 3 or even 4 hours but at the same time i feel light, not bloated at all and that is such a plus!
Second, my entire life I have suffered from constipation but during the week, when I'm taking my shakes I visit the toilet at least twice a day. LIFE CHANGING for me!!! In the past, I used to go to the toilet 1 time every 2 days and I hated to take medicines now, with plenny shakes this is a massive improvement.
I feel lighter but fuller, I feel with energy and I can go to the toilet frequently so I'm a happy woman!
The texture is a bit grainy but as weird as that sounds, i like it. You can play around with the mixing and flavors. My favorite so far is the strawberry you should try it out!
Loving it and will definitely order again!

Very good customer service but very bad website :D Please get a better frontend. It's really hard to make purchases, especially the subscription page. It can be a lot more user-friendly, for example make a page for one subscription where you can see all the products of that one subscription and where you can mix and match different products. It's not okay that each product from one subscription has a different page of its own. It makes the process very tiring and confusing. Especially since the webpage takes ages to load (my internet is fine!) and the UI is confusing.
Products are great though
