Worst company I have ever dealt with
Kia took my March payment and never applied to my balance it's now end of July still not resolved I have spoken to over 20 supervisors and reps no help at all Kia Motors Finance say the policy is an inbound call center and they don't call customers back to follow up or make sure issue resolved I was told system update in March that affected Kia customers accounts where the correct balance is not showing but no one is trying to resolved the issue this is the worst company I have ever done business with I will NEVER purchase a Kia or go through Kia finance or recommend Kia because the customer service is the worst I have also sent a letter to corporate my next step is to contact the news and a lawyer. Kia is taking customers money and not applying to balance because my balance on their website is not correct everything was fine until they had a system update in March that messed up all Kia customers accounts they need to take responsibility for this issue and get it resolved ASAP. I rate Kia a ZERO

STAY AWAY
I don't even like giving this company one star! I own a business that purchased three cars the same day and used Kia finance. Three years later the loan is paid off but I only received titles for two of the cars. When I called to inquiry, I was told Kia Motors Finance mailed the third title to an address I never heard of. An address that wasn't even on the sales agreement. No one at Kia would take responsibility for the incorrect address that was obviously put into their computer incorrectly on their part. I was told to call back in 30 days to see if the title was returned.

So, I call back in 30 days and talked to three levels of management, all progressively worse in their customer service attitudes! I was on the phone over 40 minutes and all I was told is I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DUPLICATE TITLE! I am just amazed at this. It is obviously their fault but no acceptance of their error. I filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General yesterday and hope they can assist.

Stay away!

Fine... until they Double dipped into my account
Was doing fine with Kia Finance until I was charged twice during the holiday season.

I was under false pretense (info I received from a Kia Finance representative... made her confirm TWICE over a recorded line) that my automatic payment wouldn't activate if I paid off a few day prior.

I overpay my bill, as a result, my monthly payments go down. December rolls around, and to save some money for gifts, I paid the minimum payment required.

Not only did the auto-payment take effect, it left my account in the red... ON Christmas week! My birthday is also 12/30. So I had no money to travel to see my family, no money to go out for my birthday if I wanted to, all because misinformation I received. I immediately called Kia Finance, in which Kia Motors Finance gave me 2 fax lines to submit my bank statement. So on top of everything else, I was forced to spent the last of my petty cash on faxing my information.

It has been 3 weeks and 3 days. I have been contacting Kia Finance ever since and they STILL haven't processed a refund check. I have spoken to supervisors and I still get nowhere. They may as well just kept my payment since another one is due next week.

Unprofessional as far as ethics and sympathy is concerned.

I vow to write a negative review on all review websites every day I do not receive my refund.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced
Kia Motors Finance must train its employees to make things up out of thin air. I was told the title was put in the mail the day after my car was paid off. When it didn't arrive within the time frame given, I called back and was told that was a mistake. It wouldn't be mailed until 10 days after it was paid off. That date came and went. I called back and was told it would go out 3 days later. That date came and went. Then I was told it was Fedexed the day after however Kia Motors Finance could not give me a tracking number and that I should call back 3 days later to get one. When asked each time I called for a call back to get the details on when and how it was sent, I repeatedly was told that no one could call me back. One manager said they would call me back and never did. I have spoken with 5 different managers and at least as many regular employees. They will not send anything in writing nor will they call back. At one point I had a regulatory agency in NJ do a conference call with Kia Motors Finance. We were disconnected and did not receive a call back. In the era of Trump, the "truth" is the lie of convenience for that minute. To date I have not received the title nor have any way of knowing for certain if it was ever sent.

Do not finance with KIA
Kia has said it is because of a upgrade on their system in March is why Kia Motors Finance are having problems posting payments.

I payed June payment May 20th online. It cleared my bank on the 22nd. When I look at payment history is shows it there but not placed on principal and interest. This happened to me in May to but when I received a email saying my payment was late I was shocked then when I looked at my payment history I seen the payment was never moved over to principal and interest.

I called Kia and was able to get if fixed within a week. When I talked to Kia that day I said I see my June payment was also just sitting there. I was told that to would get fixed. Each week I call this is a joke I am on hold at least a hour to two before someone picks up. Every week they say the same thing. We can see the payment we are unable to transfer you to accounting they do not take phone calls all we can do is email them. Accounting will have it fixed within a week. May 20th they received my June payment it is now July 8th with nothing being done.

Not sure what I am able to do if Kia reports my payment late to the credit bureau all I know is until they fix this I am to afraid to make my July payment.

Incompetence is a must.
I turned in my leased Kia Optima Hybrid 2015 and got a financed Kia Niro 2019 on March 3rd 2019. Everything was fantastic with the dealer Kia Carson, the sales representative gave us a great deal and the service was fantastic. But, as this as my 4th Kia, I wasn't expecting to have a hard time with the finance dept. Kia Motors Finance supposed to charge me after 45 days after the purchase. They charged me on March 21st for the TURNED IN Optima and again on March 23rd for my new Kia Niroy. I called the finance dept on March 24th, stayed on the phone for about 40min and the solution was wait 16 days to receive my money back. After screaming with the manager on duty, she gave me the option to send a FAX (2019 and they still not having an e-mail address for this kind of issue) to the Finance dept to EXPEDITE the refund which I should receive the check with the amount of $824.19 within six business days. I sent it with my bank statement showing that I was charged, a letter explain why I was sending the fax/request. Today is April 19th and no refund yet. Plus, I got a letter on April 2nd charging me $1733. 82 for the turned in Optima, been that I told the sales rep that I had a couple more months before to turn in. This was no problem with my 3 first Kia leased. So, after a lot of calls to the dealer and to the finance dept, they (the dealer) paid the remaining balance of the Optima. But, no refund check yet. I should pay the first bill on 04/17/19. I will pay when I receive MY MONEY BACK. If they mess up with my credit, I will file a lawsuit against them.

Do not Lease or Buy a KIA through Kia Motor Finance
I leased a Soul through KMF and was 2 months ahead on my payments. My wife was in an accident and totaled the vehicle. She was not at fault and Progressive handled the claim. That's where the problems started. Kia would not talk to the insurance company. I had to play mediator between Progressive and Kia. After a month of jumping through hoops, calling Kia, calling progressive, calling kia back, it supposedly got resolved with Progressive sending Kia a check. Yet i noticed my kia account stayed active and 2 months later Kia Motors Finance were still billing me for the car. I called Kia and they said that Progressive missed something and until they recieved an updated evaluation, they would continue to bill me. This is despite the fact that I received a letter from Kia stating that the car was a total loss and I no longer had to make payments. The rep on the phone informed me that while i don't have to make payments, it will affect my credit. A complete SCAM. I repeat do NOT buy or lease a KIA.

Legal Con Artists
I decided to help someone pay a downpayment for a 2019 Kia Sorrento, thinking it'd be the right idea and right time. I even helped them receive a better financing rate, only to be ridiculed about my current part-time job while doing so. Yes, I know, my mistake to co-own a vehicle with a complete "B" word.

To make the story short now, the finance rep. Who we dealt with (name really irrelevant in the sense of the very real story and the point of the story) came back to us and said he does not know who will be financing us. At first, that caused an alarm and I asked if caller ID would be available and Kia Motors Finance said it should. The call did come, and of course no calller ID. And, the name of the financial institution was not Kia Finance or whatever it is supposed to be - apparently Kia financed us.

And to conclude, the owners of the both Jenkins Kia and Kia Finance have no responsibility to improve their image or customer service. So I totally agree with all the bad reviews here. In fact, I would go so far as to say the co-owner of the Kia Sorrento is also a legal con artist and engineered the con with the dealership and the finance department. How convenient, the one with a better credit score and better character ends up paying for a vehicle that he does not even drive.

Horrible customer service
Have tried for 3 months to get copy of title to get plates from out of state. Have faxed everything Kia Motors Finance need but still NO ACTION! Called for 3 months an always told its in the works. Finally called in Aug an now say they have nothing on it! Jow hard is it to change last name, due to divorce an get copy mailed to me an BMV? TOTAL CRAPPY SERVICE an ready to trade car so can get done! On fixed income so can only do 1 time a month. Sick of having to pau $18 for temporary when others dont do there job! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AN HAVE NO WAY TO CONTACT since no one at customer service if truthful! How bout I dont pay till j do simple job for me? RIDICULOUS an do not want to get pulled over due to your stupidity! Going to dealership tomorrow an better get help cause will NOT TELL ANYONE to buy Kia since no one seems to b able to do SIMPLE task! Really give no stars cause worse ever seen!

Worst Customer Service
Absolutely the most horrible and worst customer service including the agents and the supervisor. It has been more than a month we are following up with this company for transferring the vehicle registration title from one state to another and it's the worst experience ever. First, all the agents are extremely rude, not at all trained for what kind of job Kia Motors Finance are doing, and they have no idea how the services work and no work ethics. Each time you call, each agent will give different information and completely mislead you. Also, they never accept their faults, always blame other departments and people. Even one of the Supervisor named Crystal (Emp ID 96650) from customer service of KIA had no idea about the job duties, blamed the title department, and said that it will take more than 6 weeks to send the request and in the end did not give any guarantee that the process will be completed. We have been trying to send our requests regularly on daily basis but still no response. The answer we get is that you are not the only customer. Honestly speaking they don't even deserve any stars and request everyone who wants to buy KIA vehicles, DO NOT GO WITH KIA FINANCE. THEY ARE THE WORST.

KIA FINANCIAL YOUNG EMPLOYEES
Bought a car for my son 10/6/20 on 10/14/20 called to set up Auto Pay and Kia did not have the account set up I was told it was the dealership that did not send it in. I called the Dealership and Kia Motors Finance said that they are wrong and they always mislead people because KIA financial employees don't know what they are doing. I called Kia back and they said wait another week.

Today 10/27/30 called KIA Young girl answered and I had to hang up because of all the back crying
I called back and spoke to another young girl who again could not put sentences together yet alone answer your questions So I asked to speak to Supervisor I got someone named Eddy who again didn't really understand questions and sounded very young he stated my account was set today that I had to wait until 11/6/20 to make a payment to set up account even thought it took KIA 21 dats to set up my new account. So basically because of their incompetence I as a Customer had to make many calls including the dealership several times and will still have to do that to set up something that every company out there wishes their customers will do

This place has no clue how to treat customers, answer questions and treat customers so they can leave with a good experience but being that they are so unprofessional and young you can tell by their responses and inattentiveness that they could care less even Eddy the Supervisor which is why it prompted me to write this DONT USE KIA FINANCIAL YOU WILL REGRET IT LIKE I AM IT's GOING TO BE A LONG LEASE IF I HAVE TO KEEP CALLING THEM FOR HELP

They do business backwards and don't care to change...
I don' t know if this company is left back in the 60s or what because alot of things that Kia Motors Finance do is not only wrong but nearly leaves you broke and they don't care whether or not you have problems.
Let's start with their website, Practically the most Arcadia way of paying bills; they use a checking measure which if most knows takes way more longer than that of a Credit or debit card transaction which is perhaps the most simplistic way of paying a bill online the transaction shouldn't take no more than a day. When i asked them why they don't use the credit or debit system on their website, they couldn't give me a straight answer for it but a whole lot of dodging talking about it works for them... which leads me to my next issue.

Because they use a checking system to paying bills; it doesn't matter if you pay the bill on time or not. The estimate time that checking goes thru to any place is usually 2-4 days (Maybe longer if there's a holiday) So that means you must have money in your account otherwise it will default and us being humans we are usually under assumptions that once you make payment that's it your're done... nope not so much; cause if you don't have money in your account even though the banks said you already made the payment it doesn't matter, you didn't according to Kia... which means if you miss 3 payments the site and the automated features over the phone (which you can use the credit or debit card for $3.50 I believe which is a rip off of its own.) gets cut off for three months!
Which means not only your amount you own increases but you LITERALLY have to call them and make payments for an additional $7.95 which is utter BS. So now i have a bill for $633.00 and its taxing to even think that this finance company thinks backwards instead of improving/updating on something it severely broken this is highway robbery of the highest form... no other car company has this many issues like KMF does at least I heard from others that places like BMW, Hyundai, ETC. uses debit/credit card in their systems this one does not!

Once my payments are made i think i'm done with these guys or i'll just go used and worry about the banks instead of these guys... don't go with KMF they are rip offs.

Absolute WORST company I have ever borrowed from!
This company doesn't even deserve 1 star. After a horrible accident, my husband's car was totaled, we went through the steps to have insurance and GAP pay the balance. We forwarded everything requested and it got lost somewhere. After 7 months or so, I got hit with a 50 point credit score reduction for "failure to pay". Not once did I get a letter, phone call, anything asking for a payment. Kia Motors Finance told me I have a 6 month courtesy window AFTER it was reported. All we had left was like 1000 dollars. I would've paid that had I known this company would ruin my credit! I have called, pleaded, begged for them to remove it as I did everything that was asked and responded immediately to the report- and they haven't resolved the issue. They even made it worse by reporting it as a "charge off" after it was Paid. And don't you know they sent me a refund for more than the balance when gap finally paid? These are terrible people and I wish I never had the misfortune of dealing with them.

I GOT A BILL!
I purchased Gap Insurance on my 2014 Kia Forte when I purchased it new. 5 months ago I was in an accident (not my fault) and my car was totaled but I still owed a few years of payments. 5 months of waiting on Gap to finalize the paperwork on my car, I am being told that since it took so long for the payout to be finalize, I OWE an additional $2,898.75 because of what was quoted was the payout at the time of the accident, additional payment dates have passed and I OWE THOSE PAYMENTS! My auto insurance paid in a timely matter, all my payments were made on time, WHY CAN'T YOU? After continual calls to Gap Ins,, speaking to Associates', today I am told that I did not respond to their letter sent to an incorrect address via UPS, it is not their problem.
KIA you screwed up! I was in contact with you! No one said anything about returned mail! I was asked my name and birthdate to verify me, why not ask address? I asked why the payment was not made, WHY was nothing said? I made at lease 20 calls, each time, I asked what the problem was. I was told These things take time.' Your account is in process of being finalized.' I say BULL SH**! You want more money! Horrible company! Horrible business practices! I will tell anyone and everyone about how horrid you are!

I would give them zero stars if that were an option
I would give them zero stars if that were an option. Kia Motors Finance mistyped my address and my husband's name on some paperwork. When I called to get this fixed, I was able to get the address corrected but they refused to spell my husband's last name correctly unless
They talked to him personally even though they have the leasing paperwork right in front of them and can see that his last name and mine are the same. They absolutely refuse to fix their mistake.

The documents they sent me are something they filled out with an incorrect address and incorrect last name and expect me to get it notorized and send back to them, otherwise, I will have to pay taxes on a leased vehicle. I honestly think they did this on purpose hoping that I would not notice, or that the time would be up and I would have to pay the $1500 for the taxes on the car. I can't believe anyone can be that ignorant when typing in names and addresses.

The customer service person and supervisor that I talked to just kept saying the same thing about how my husband would have to call and get his name corrected even though they knew it was incorrect and it was their fault. This is ridiculous and there is no reason they could not fix a simple misspelling and send me the correct paperwork.

Of course this is the just one of a number of problems I have had with the financing department and Kia motors. I absolutely will never get another Kia. And I advise anyone thinking of dealing with Kia to seriously investigate other options. I like the car I have but despise the customer service and how they do business. As soon as I can get rid of this leased vehicle, I will, and I will never do business with this company again.

Heed the Reviews - Worst Company Ever
First of all, Skip Young, owner of Kia of Lansing (MI), personally screwed us on a lease. Went in for a $199/mo lease on a Kia Sorento and left with a lease that was inexplicably $452/mo! My husband did business with him at the time, so we didn't feel like we could call him out and risk his company's relationship with him. Of course, this cost us an additional $12,000 over the course of the lease. The lease ended and we took out a small loan to buy the car outright. Kia has been an absolute nightmare throughout the entire process. I could have bought a kidney on the black market easier than it was to get the lease end completed with them. The level of incompetence in every person I spoke with was simply astounding. It took weeks to get the correct paperwork, meanwhile Kia Motors Finance kept trying to collect payments. I told them repeatedly that they would be paid for the WHOLE go**amn vehicle if they would just prepare the paperwork. Every step of the way, the forgot to do something. They wouldn't release the title to ther finance company because I hadn't signed the odometer statement (that they never asked for). The never released it anyway. I got a letter from the finance company today saying they STILL haven't received it, nearly four months later. If Kia won't provide it, my interest rate goes up to the highest rate allowed by law. The implications of their incompetence doesn't affect them, I'll be the one to get screwed again. It's truly astounding that a sh**show operation like this can stay in business. No one that works there is competent enough to staple two sheets of paper together - don't trust them with your financing.

Unprofessional
I bought a 2021 Kia Soul last November. I also purchased a Gap Policy through Kia when I bought my vehicle. The Soul was totaled in January. I had the vehicle less then 2 months when it was totaled. I have already purchased a new 2021 Kia Sportage. I greatly regret purchasing again through Kia Motor Finance. My Gap claim has still not been processed due to Kia Motor Finance not sending them the needed documents. I have called over eight times and still the paperwork has not been submitted. A representative from the Gap company even called today and Kia is still not addressing the problem. In the meantime I am still obligated to pay my payments in full on a totaled vehicle. Their customer service team is rude and not at all helpful. When I asked to speak with a supervisor Kia Motors Finance told me their was no supervisor for me to talk to and no one to help me! I have never had such poor customer service from a finance company. I defiantly do not recommend Kia to anyone. This is terrible because the Kia dealership we went to was amazing and my family has purchased 5 vehicles from them now in the last 3 years. Not anymore. We would have been lifetime customers.

Horrible!
Just purchased a brand new vehicle and financed through Kia to take advantage of the 0% interest rate. If I had known how awful Kia Motors Finance are, I would have financed elsewhere and gotten the discounts instead.

I set up auto-payments to pay 4 days before the due date each month. Got confirmation emails and it showed online. Great. The date to pay comes and I get and email they received my payment. Great. It clears my bank account. All seems well. The day after it's due I get an email I'm late. What!? Call and spend over an hour getting the run around, one person says it's late, another it's not and no one will give us anything in writing showing the account is current. Sat on hold for a supervisor and got hung up on. Called back and got someone else who claims they are fixing it but no one has the ability to give anything in writing. I can log into my account and verify it was corrected in a week and print that out. That is not the same thing and I don't trust anything they are saying now. Supposedly it was a glitch that impacted thousands of customers so you'd think they could communicate with those customers. Horrible, horrible, horrible!

This might be the last time i get a kia because of them
I love both my Candenzas. Kia Motors Finance are fabulous family sedans that require very little in the way of maintenance. Look great. Ride great. Just great cars. However, if I decide to get another Kia Cadenza or other Kia, I'm going to come in with my own financing already secured. Kia Motors Finance is absolute BASURA. They are intrusive, habitual line-steppers.
We had to make a payment late because I got a new job and we all know about that lag between starting a new gig and the first paycheck. I called them to inform them of this and they said they would note it to my account and no collection calls would happen. Literally THE DAY after my due date, the calls started. When I told them my situation, they said they had no record, even though I got the name of the customer service agent and had recorded the phone call on my phone.
They then asked me if i could make more than the amount due "to stop the collection calls". When I said no, I could not because I had other responsibilities and had met my obligation, they literally suggested that I be late on my mortgage or preschool payments to pay them extra. Yeah, i'm really going to risk losing my house or having my child kicked out of school to pay you above and beyond my monthly payment.

This is my second go round with Kia Motors Finance and they were not this way back in 2015. Something has changed and I don't like it. I have half a mind to terminate my lease and go get a different car. They are ridiculous.

Horrible CS
Absolute horrible customer service! Kia Motors Finance are extremely rude and uncaring to any financial hardships. I had called for an extension on a payment that was going to be late because I recently had emergency surgery and was out of work for a little over a month due to recovery. I go back to work this weekend. But I had called Kia to ask for an extension of my payment, explained that I had surgery, and when I would be returning to work. KIA refused to allow an extension of my payment and basically told me to borrow the money from friends or family by the date they want their money or else... and then they hung up on me. First of all... many friends and family are being affected by the COVID pandemic, they don't have money either and secondly why is it such an ordeal to extend 1 payment? I even gave them an exact date when they would get the payment. I will never ever buy a car from KIA ever again!
