Really like the ease of handling. It is small compared to the one I had but does a super vacuuming job. Also like that the canister can be removed for cleaning furniture, etc. This is the first battery vacuum I have owned but it won’t be the last. Nice not having to mess with a cord. Because of the price I was having second thoughts but now that I am using it I am so glad I went with this vacuum. 🙂
We love it. It is so much more convenient than our old stick vacuum. The suction this cordless has, even at the low setting, is impressive. Light and quiet and easy to use. And it stands up by itself! The "canister" like nature of the Lupe makes getting to the high places a breeze. The Lupe is a winner in my book.
Little hitch with delivery. They thought they had already delivered it and they hadn’t but no bother. Very quiet machine, compared to our old Dyson and it picks up very well. We really love the size of the hopper, battery life, weight, not having to change out the head between carpet and hardwood, and not having to hang/mount the whole thing on the wall to mount. Oh yeah and the fact that it stands up on its own. Really love this little thing!
The vacuum is performing very well, feels powerful, and cleans my tile, hardwood, and carpets with no issues. I do wish the floor rollers were slightly wider, and that the battery life was slightly longer, or else ship the vacuum with two batteries. My house is ~1600 square feet, and I do need to charge the battery once to finish cleaning the entire house, though because the vacuum is cordless and easy to use quickly, I tend to clean only one room at a time, when it needs it, instead of doing a top-to-bottom whole-house cleaning.
Fantastic and versatile product. Considered the Dyson V15 Detect but this was a far better product as it lets you vacuum more than just the floors well.
If I were to give any constructive criticism I would wish for a smaller (height) suction head area so that you can manage to vacuum under things easier. Currently, it's a bit too bulky with the main unit and therefore under for instance the couch I cannot reach. Depends on the height of your couch of course. Can always reach by using one of the attachments of course but not as convenient.
Second I would love to have a power button on the top handle for quickly turning it off and on while taking short pauses. With the current placement I'll just let it run for the 10-30 seconds I'm moving something instead of toggling it off and back on.
I wanted to LOVE this vacuum but unfortunately, it is not as wonderful as I anticipated. It is not easy to maneuver and it has difficulty cleaning any medium to high pile rug/carpet. You have to turn off the carpet mode and use the floor mode to clean the medium to high pile carpet and it doesn't do the best job. I wind up taking my corded vacuum out to get the job done. Also, I thought I was getting an extra battery for it because of the 1 x battery reference but there is only one battery
The vacuum has good suction and picks up things well on a bare floor. It seems to suffer quite a bit when asked to vacuum anything but an short fibered area rug. The front of the vacuum tilts back when you pull back making it only effective during the push, not the pull. Not sure if this will get better over time, but it’s disappointing given all the positive reviews. I would not recommend this for anything other than bare floor and short carpets.
Absolutely love the design, aesthetic, simplicity of use, and superior vacuuming abilities. The only thing I would've changed is how the rollers disassemble from the unit. Every part of the vacuum can be disassembled toolless except for the rollers which require something flat and sturdy to turn the knobs. Either make the access panel toolless or provide the tool that stays with the vacuum.
I have only had my Lupe for a week and it has been very impressive in it’s versatility and cleaning power. I thought my old Hoover Pet Pro vacuum was picking up a lot of cat hair (literally canisters full), until I ran this little sucker across my freshly vacuumed carpets. Literally packed the entire canister with each room I vacuumed. This little puppy picks up everything on the first pass, even with the power on the lowest setting. I also have not had an issue pushing it on carpet as some other reviewers had suggested.
The battery life is great. After I full charge I managed to go over my whole carpeted house only using about 25% charge with the low power setting. The engine dust filter is miles above any other vacuum I have used in terms of practical cleanability and functionality, which is a huge plus. And speaking of practicality, this thing stands upright like a champ for having such a flexible design. Even my toddlers messing with wasn’t knocking it down.
I did have a few qualms with the device though, all convenience related. The power button has the slightest play in it with a decently long spring mechanism, so that if you don’t give it a real good firm push straight on, it won’t trigger and the vacuum won’t turn on.
Also, a minor gripe, when I push the release button on the waste canister the bottom flap will still stay caught on the release catch until I physically pull on the flap. Annoying - as I would expect the release button to have that extra 1mm to allow the bottom flap to freely fall out and not force me to goober my hand in all the falling debris.
Similarly, the catch to re-engage the waste canister into the vacuum is so precisely fitted, that it requires two hands to push from both sides to ensure proper alignment and pressure to get it clicked in just right. With a small waste container, these two inconvienence factors start to get annoying quickly when vacuuming anything more than a Cheerios spill.
My last gripe is that there is no memory on the suction or brushroll settings. Everytime you turn the vacuum on, the brushroll will always be on and the suction will always be at medium. Somewhat annoying considering that the manufacturer suggests being at low or “Eco” power settings. With this being a battery powered vacuum, my brain is conditioned to turn it off at any point I may not be actively vacuuming during a session because I know how much power a vacuum draws and I am not a huge fan of waiting on batteries to charge.
But even with these minor engineering flaws, this vacuum is still 100% worth it for it’s ability to clean and adapt to any situation. The customer support team was extremely responsive when I had a question regarding shipping, and they kept me up to date the entire time when they had delays. And delays are understandable in a small business that is attempting to scale up. I think if they could get the price point down to about $450 USD then this vacuum would be a worldwide market dominating success, but it is still quite expensive as it is now. Maybe that price is because this is the only vacuum on the market that looks sexier than a Dyson.
So I am still sort of puzzled. I like a lot about this vacuum. The battery life, weight, the ability to use attachments. But without the beater bar on, it will suck stuff up but if you lift the vacuum the stuff falls out. Frustrating. Also it kind of feels cheap. I’m still sort of trying to surmise if it’s worth $599. I’m kinda thinking no.
I am genuinely impressed by how simple the Lupe Pure is. You can just look at it, and understand what every part does!
The only thing keeping it from a 5-star score is how often you need to manually clean the dust bin. Doubly so because the dust bin latch jams when exposed to dust. I’m hoping they’re able to improve it in future versions.
The good: great suction, lovely streamlined design, easy to put together, and is easy to steer.
The bad: the bin is ludicrously tiny and requires that you remove the filters (2 of them) to empty it every single time. The head is also narrow so you have to have patience to be thorough - lots of back and forth. Wish the battery lasted longer or it came with more than one for the price of this unit.
Excellent product. I researched and debated different cordless vacuums for a few months and finally landed on ordering this one and I have no regrets. I must say that this is my first cordless vacuum but I have used other peoples dysons and I definitely prefer the Lupe. It’s powerful, practical, and excels at serving it’s purpose. As with all new products it can take a minute to get used to it’s different functions but I plan to use this vacuum for many years to come. Would recommend!
After about a week of using it. I have to say it's a good product but could use a longer, better battery. Paying $600 for a product that only works 50 mins at a time is not worth it for me. I love the sleek design and hose detachment but the battery life is a huge issue for me. I would like to purchase another battery but you guys dont offer it to be sold by itself.
I was so impressed with just the packaging alone. So much thought went into the boxing. No unnecessary filler. No wasted space. Needless to say, I am so pleased with the Vacuum Itself. Very easy to assemble. Love that you can take the battery out to charge. I like that it stands upright. I used the eco mode and did the rugs and floors downstairs. Has great power and suction just in the eco mode. The Battery life is excellent. Easy to convert to handheld, love that for the stairs. Lightweight and the swivel head works great. I was hesitant to spend that much, but it is well worth every penny.
I use the upholstery attachment for the stairs. My one wish is that there was an attachment specifically for stairs. Other than that, Congratulations on a well-made vacuum.
I really like that it can stand on its own and that the battery is removable.
It is a bit heavier than I expected. It's ok for me but my wife is fairly small with less muscles so it is less easy for her to use, especially on the carpet where the suction strenght is too much for her.
I am also missing some way to fit the hoover under the couch all the way. I have a 14 cm gap so the hoover doesnt go all the way, and the accessories have a fixed angle so they don't let me vacuum there effectively either. I wish there was a extension with a rotating head to be able to do that.
Was one of the first backers and love my Lupe - powerful, relatively quiet and easy to use. Then when we recently had some issues and needed repairs, my respect for this company went through the roof - they went above and beyond to fix and return my Lupe to me, best customer service ever! Cannot recommend this vacuum and company more. Bonus -it also looks much nicer than the Dyson my friends and family are using.
The Pure cordless is amazing, deep cleaned my carpets like no other vacuum I’ve owned. There was a slight tear in the outer covering of my soft roller out of the box, but I have not seen any notable performance decrease compared to the advertisements and reviews I saw before purchasing.
Overall impression is Very good.
Positives:
-Love how every component is easy to dismantle. Very convenient.
-Love how the battery can be charged independent of the main body.
-Love the idea of having parts easily replaced and upgraded in the future.
-Suction is more than adequate for vacuuming around both solid floors and carpets. I tend to keep mine on the minus setting.
-Personally love the design
-Light weight and easy to carry, especially given how you can lift the main body away from the stand. Makes vacuuming stairs a breeze.
-Switching between roller on/off and power +- is easy.
Negatives:
-Roller is turned On by default when switching on the power. Would prefer this being off at the start.
- Roller is quite loud if you happen to have it on whilst vaccuming on hard floors. Although Lupe have said that the roller function isn't required for hard floors so perhaps not an issue.
-Default noise is noticeably louder to my ear compared to my previous use of Dyson products. I tend to keep it on minus.
- I haven't tested how well the roller manages hair when vaccuming around carpets.
Neutral:
-Others have suggested that the Lupe in black would look better and feel more premium.
Unfortunately I can’t review the vacuum itself because I haven’t received it yet but I can review the woeful distribution service provided. The initial dispatch advice from UPS informed me that import fees were due on my delivery (free p+p!)??. After informing yourselves about this, having to refuse the subsequent delivery due to the charges and over a week later… I still don’t have a vacuum. Although I have had most of my emails replied to assuring me that the problem had been sorted… still no vacuum on the horizon. This is very disappointing. I await the vacuums second trip to my door.
