Pretty good. Checkout was relatively smooth despite having to go back and change my shipping address once I learned that Priority Mail was the cheapest way. Would have been more efficient if that information would have been presented as I set up my account.

Had trouble placing an order and was lost in all the wonderful world of spices. Got frustrated but really needed to get my Yerba Mate so I just kept on going--stubborn person that I am. I love your company and so does my son-in-law who orders from you, expecially after moving to Washington.

I like cooking and when it comes to cooking, as usual, I'm run out of particular herbs which i need in order to create a new masterpiece. I started to search for various herbs deliveries in order to get the herbs and spices which i need right away. Moreover, usually it happens when I have already started cooking and detected that I'm run out of particular herbs and spices. Recently i faced this company and decided to order here some spices and herbs beforehand. Basically, I have never met something like that before. There is quite a big assortment of herbs and I ordered here many of them with pleasure.

The product pricing seems reasonable, but for a product that weighs 4 ounces the first shipping option should not be $19. Anything that weighs under one pound can be shipped in a poly mailer/paper envelope for $4-6 anywhere in the country via first class. I ended up upgrading my order to a 1 pound package so I could at least justify the $8 Priority flat rate shipping. I ship for a living across the country and have never come across such exorbitant fees- I hope this is a glitch in your system.

Addendum to my Feedback Below: Customer Svc quickly responded to my feedback regarding their website and are having their technicians working on it now. I have been extremely happy with Monterey Bay Spice Company. Monterey Bay Herb Co. have a large selection of Herbs, Spices, Teas, and related products that are priced for the average consumer. Finding a supplier that consistently was able to provide a variety of "Fresh" herbs & spices in both small & bulk quantities at relatively stable pricing had been very difficult when I first started making my teas in 2006. It was years before I had finally discovered this company on the other side of the USA. I'm sure the pandemic, global warming (severe storms, fires, etc.) has affected the supply lines & operational costs of these businesses too. Despite these additional challenges, Monterey Bay Spice Company has continued to operate efficiently; fulfilling my orders with the same high quality herbs & spices without drastic price increases. Once you have used fresh spices in your cooking or had a cup of fresh herbal tea, you'll never buy them in a grocery store again. Check this company out, you'll be very happy you did.
Prior Review - To alert Monterey Bay Spice of website problems: There is something wrong with your site since adding Google Review. Every time I finished adding an item to my order and tried to go back into bulk herbs (to select my next item) your website got "hung up"; per the error message that I got. I had to end the session and then reload. It took me 40 minutes to complete an order that would usually take me less than 10 minutes. Very Frustrating! I hope this issue can be fixed. Otherwise, I am very happy with your company and the quality of the products that you sell.

I tried ordering on my Chromebook, but was not given the opportunity to use my coupon. So I had to order from my phone. Also, when changing the size of an item, I had to add the new size to my cart then return to the original item in my cart and change the quantity to zero. This is not a huge problem. It only made my many changes a bit more difficult than I believe it could be.

Site kept skipping to other pages and/or boxes while I was trying to place my order

This is one of my favourite places to shop for herbs. I need help with an order to Puerto Rico and the supervisor made it happen right away. I could not be more happy with this company for quality is great and the product comes very well sealed. Five stars all around

I make my own herbal tea blends, grow a bunch of the herbs my self but never have a nuff for my herbal tea blends demand. Fresh herbs come in good sealed bags, smell wonderful, good high quality, lots of Organic or wildcrafted fast shipping with awesome tracking. For all my herbal need, Monterey Bay Spice Co is the way to go.

I liked the format on the webpage that showed the prices of each item without clicking on them.
Have had a couple issues with my logins but got them resolved quickly by phone.

Your system would not recognize my original email, would not accept the new password sent from your system. Kept saying my email was in use but would not let me log in. I used my other email account to place an order through my paypal account. Wasted over half hour trying to order. Fix your system.

I was about to cancel my whole order because of how high shipping appeared. Then when checking out on another site I discovered that it was probably because I had placed an essential oil in my cart. Once I removed it the shipping came down to reasonable amount on your site. So I decided to purchase from you. I think it's important for you to communicate to your customers what their shipping options are and how they're affected by items in the cart. I started out wanting to purchase from you all but almost ended up purchasing from another company because of shipping

10 minutes after placing an order I wanted to cancel. I was told my order was already processed and that there was no way to stop it. My account page said it had not been processed. This company doesn't care about keeping customers Monterey Bay Herb Co. are not willing make things right--customer service is poor at best. The reason for the cancellation of order was I found product elsewhere for much more reasonable shipping cost. Search elsewhere before using this company

Shipping cost was not presented until after payment via Paypal, you had the shipping zip code and the shipping cost should be presented before payment. I realize you have you materials and labor costs involved in shipping, I thought that 2 lbs shipped via USPS for $11 was excessive,
The mullein is a product of Europe, and it meets the the requirements to be "organic", who verifies that the standards are truly being followed in a foreign country.

I remember getting a per pound discount when I ordered 5lbs I think. Even a little discount is better than none. If it was given, it wasn't made clear that it was.
The lowest cost shipping option wasn't the primary selected option. Then when I went to PayPal and came back it changed the option again to the higher cost shipping.
I'm sure it's a glitch but I really didn't like it!
I want to support the USPS not their competition. I'd prefer USPS options as primary whenever possible.

During checkout, it would've been nice to have a fill-in text box to give additional delivery info. I wanted to ask that my ordered bottle of Citronella essential oil needs to be VERY well-wrapped, for fear of leakage during shipping & because weather in Michigan has been humid & hot!

Great. Only concern is I was told multiple places in process that I was eligible for a 15% credit based on first order - but there was no place along the process where I could put in the code (welcome15).

So I assume I won't actually get a discount, and if I do, it would be nice to know it along the process rather than require faith...

Overall is good, but I was exited about the 25%off offer I received on my email... but the email didnt say the expiration date. I did my purchase (about 800$) 1 day later, I suppose the promo email should include the exp date, we business owners have to find the time to look inventory and calculate $ and find the time to do it all, so an exp date tell me a timeframe. Thank you

So much to choose from. I'm looking for a wholesaler, this is my sample order. I buy in bulk, Keep some on hand to help the needy, then sell the rest to pay for helping others. If you have any special samples, or information such as a catalog with uses please send. And I need Corydalis.

Clunky website that can't handle PO Box as only USPS deliverable address. Outrageous shipping charges automatically applied. Lots of backtracking to correct info that is auto-filled. If you made the shipping options clearer, earlier, ie UPS vs USPS, a lot of hassle cold be avoided.
