MyPerfectResume

I was under the impression that I paid for my downloaded resume for $2.95. Which did come out nicely, I will add. I downloaded a Microsoft Word version of it so I can make changes later as needed.

Yesterday I noticed a $23.95 charge from them on my bank account! I did an online chat and found out the $2.95 was for a 2 week trial period. Apparently, seeing some reviews, I'm not the only one who did not catch this. The rep assured me she'd help me with the cancelation and refund. Then after a few attempts to get me to take a better deal, to which I declined because I am not in good shape financially, she canceled my account and then said MyPerfectResume can only refund me 50%! Of course they have reviews disabled on Facebook, how convenient. But I will post this on every site like this one.

I apparently used this service once over a year ago and MyPerfectResume have been charging me $25 a month for nothing ever since. I did not catch the extra charges on my account because the name on the charge kept changing and then the one it changed to was very similar to another charge on my bank statement. I finally caught it now because i canceled the other service and noticed the charges still going through. I looked more closely and noticed the different name. I called customer service because obviously this was a mistake right? Apparently to them posting a resume once is worth getting charged $25/month. I still do not even remember signing up for this service and yet all they offered me was to cancel my subscription, and after begging for a refund of at least the last month they oh so graciously offered me $12 back.

In short: their service was obviously not memorable and they are a dirty, greedy company.

It was most helpful to have a template to use with all the added helpful ideas to list as far as skills and details about my job listings. I didn't have to stress over using the right details because I am an old student with experience in writing my own resumes but it has been such a long time that I was a little nervous about how to go about being professional. Thank you so much!

I love this website so much! Every time I have to update a resume to apply for a new job or my friends or family ask me for help I tell them about this awesome service. I love the options for each job field and really helps me capture the perfect professional portrait of myself, in any field! Not worth your time or money. MyPerfectResume make it impossible to cancel your subscription so you end up just paying and paying for something you don't use. The "award winning customer service" has never answered my emails or phone calls. Likely because they know I'm trying to cancel or they just don't answer. This is definitely just a scam with resume templates as the bait. Avoid giving them your card info. My best advice is to call your card company and have them flag charges from them and not allow them to process. Seems to be the only way to avoid getting charged. Just stay away from this site

The files I downloaded did not match the actual layout (neither. Docx nor. Pdf). I had to take the docx by the scruff of the neck and redo it with somewhat hidden formatting in google docs.

I gave two stars because the initial information entry system was good, and the template looked nice. HOWEVER, the actual product I download was largely useless. It'd be awesome if a simple screenshot would suffice... but I suppose that's the easy part to code.

I could not get my cards to go through. It turns out it was a problem because it was an international transaction. This needs to be stated on the account somewhere so that steps can be made ahead of the transaction. I can try other cards, but I will have the same results. It is frustrating to have the wrong cue from your business. I had to call to get the information needed and then call my bank. Then everything went through smoothly.

It was incredibly easy to use and the templates were exactly what I needed. My one wish (well two) is about price transparency. I have no problem paying the very reasonable fee for the 2-week access, but I do not like that it automatically sets you up for a recurring subscription that you have to then go back and cancel. I think it should be optional between a one time/two week fee OR a recurring subscription.

The overall layouts and help tools are the best but the let down is the charge at the end, abit of a surprise to me when you wanted to charge $2.95 which im fine with but notice before spending my time would be good, and the subscription fee is abit pointless and sounds like a money grab why would i need to keep subbing every 4 weeks? Other then that its well worth the $2.95 if you cancel the subscription.

I searched for resume templates to update my existing resume and my perfect resume popped up. It was easy to use and at the end it said that I could download my resume for 2.99 fee which I paid and downloaded my resume. Today there was a pending charge of 23.99 on my account. I did not sign up for a subscription like the women on the phone said. I despise companies that do this to people and can not imagine taking advantage of people already struggling. This company would have continued to take my money without my knowledge since MyPerfectResume sent no receipt or email for the charge. The only reason I noticed was because thing are so tight right now. I had already paid for my use of your service and suggested you to other people who now have to also cancel their cards. If you use this company they will steal from you. Even though I "cancelled" online and on the phone the email they sent afterwards shows they clearly plan on charging me again.

This site is great! I have built resumes in the past but have never been 100% satisfied with how MyPerfectResume would come out. Myperfectresume.com really makes building a resume easy, with tons of templates, and has skills and job duties already worded in ways to make you stand out to employers. All you have to do is choose your template, then choose the skills you want add and you have a professional resume ready to go! Thank you for taking a normally stressful job seeking experience and turning it into a confident "I got this!" experience!

It clearly says free when you start the process but only after all the hard work of putting the resume together do you find out that there is a charge with auto renew built in. The only reason I continued on is because I am pushed for time on this. You should at least be up front about it not being free. I will be loud and clear to everyone I talk to avoid this bait and switch company!

I think your monthly policy is dumb. You should make a one time purchase agreement, 6 month, or a year subscription. Making people join a monthly transaction is just dumb. I hope you take my feedback because i love your platform and im a returning customer. I just hate that now i have to try and unsubscribe so you dont take money from me when all i wanted was to update my resume and be done ONE TIME...

Was charged three times in one month not able to get my full refund because of "Refund Policies" I got a "courtesy refund" for a little bit of it even though I was overcharged and not my fault! Tried to cancel my subscription this was difficult, MyPerfectResume could only see an old email which doesn't exist anymore! They Couldn't even see the Email accounts that I was actually using! Will never use Again! Waiting for an Email and Refund. Will see if they turn up! Doesn't seem like a very good company!

I have an issue with the fact that there was nothing telling me pricing at all untill ive spent over an hour building my resume, Your pricing and fee structure needs to be upfront, currently it is very shady in my opinion since i thought it was going to be free, if i was told upfront i would have still paid but i dont feel the greatest about your company and service after i have to pay or lose my work when i wasnt told this up front

I was ready to pay a recruiter for help to get my act together, literally. My Perfect Resume eliminated the burden and left me truly proud to have an updated resume to apply for some exciting positions. I don't think the price structuring or communication is good at all. Free to build, but $ to download is a weak communication strategy. Now, I have to worry about going into the account to cancel when I would have rather have access to learn more.

I didn't see anything advertised about having to pay. Pretty low having people do all the work of creating or editing their resume, only to charge them in order to access it any way. Premium services I could understand charging for, but not telling one ahead of time that myPERFECTresume is not a free service, especially now in the days of paid subscription word processors, is tantamount to theft in my opinion. Shame on you.

MyPerfectResume are SCAM. We used it once in Oct 2019. It was then on auto renew and just realised in March 2021. We didn't realise it was on auto renew.
I asked for a full refund except back in 2019 as I explained why on earth do we need to create resumes for a year and half at 34.95 per month. They only supplied 2 refunds and I have been emailing them constantly but I haven't received my desired outcome. You just keep going back and forth with emails but no resolution.

I love the the options that are available to use to build your resume. The two things I do not like is that you cannot preview your resume to check how many pages it will be. I had to alter it quite a few times and was charged each time before I got it correct. The other thing is after setting up your resume, SUPRISE there is a charge. The price should noted before starting your resume building. Marketing tactics I guess. At least I got it done.

As other reviewers state, the service as advertised as free. Upon completion of resume, you will be charged 4$ to use the resume in any format outside of the website. This is not a one time charge, and will roll into a monthly subscription that costs 24.95. The cancellation process is 4 pages along, and involves scrolling to click the button to get to the next page. It will appear as though you have cancelled your account, but have not yet completed the cancellation until approximately 4 pages later. This is clearly a service one does not need to log into once completed, and I was fine paying the original 4 dollar fee to create a nice looking resume. However, the difficulty in originally cancelling my subscription and the lack of effort from their customer service makes me feel as though the practices used are intentionally deceptive.
