Official SIM Unlock

Like many others; I have also had the misfortune of paying this company the displayed fee to unlock my phone, only to then receive an email 24hours later asking for even higher additional charges in order to receive the code.
Official SIM Unlock will not refund the payment you've already made, and just hide behind their obscure T&C's
You may get your phone unlocked. But it will likely cost you four times the stated price!

This site is a complete scam I plead with you don't trust or believe a word Official SIM Unlock say. I immediately paid them $27 and then the next day the technician/ worker replied back to me saying I'm sorry but they can't help me n that I was at fault because I gave them the wrong IMIE NO:. Now they show themselves in there own foot. My emails and screenshots of the IMIE NO of the phn itself. Prove that I gave them the correct details I made sure because I checked it like more then 10 times. I'm hoping now that I proved them wrong that i will be getting my refund back. But I don't like my chances. If they make good on there refund I give my word I'll make good on my review. But till then ppl I have all the proof you need of what I had sent them n email them. Everything lines up good with me. But everything on there side is way of. Om all the proof you need so don't just say in ur head ohhh it's only $20-$30 keep it n save it because u won't get nothing more then a email telling u you sent them incorrect info n can't get a refund. Save it just imagine yourself multiplied by easy over 100 ppl a day do the math for these ppl who choose to sit back n rob ppl n laugh at ppl. There making great money n all cash in hand, I hope u read this and don't fall victim to this scam. Thanks

Service perfect.! Really efficient.! Worth 5 stars... But, this shameless way to manage your sales price is terrible. You should be more transparent... but i know you know that. Not to mention this email you sent me back makes me look stupid not to see your cache cache before... Anyway bottom line you are in same bag as cunning businessman/woman that pollute life... No reason to be proud. Again, beside the fact that your business needs a touch of human good values, your system is pretty well damn good.

Official SIM Unlock charged me a £23.99 upfront payment to unlock my phone, but stated 48 hrs later that I had to pay another £47 before they would release my code. That's over £60 in total.

I then asked for a refund of my initial payment of £23.99 but they refused. This is a big rip-off. Please don't waste your money.

The website draws you in on a low headline price and its by no means clear that this is an advanced deposit only, and excluding VAT. Having paid this, you are then asked for three times this amount as a further payment, making this an expensive product and well above what can be achieved elsewhere. Having said that, the service works efficiently and quickly.

At first this may appear to be a fast and reasonably priced unlocking service, Granted the service did appear to have the unlock code ready to use within 24 hrs which is great, however the problem becomes apparent at that point when you are notified that Official SIM Unlock want another payment to settle up before they will release the code.
I feel it is entirely up the unlocking service to charge what they like as long it is made clear what the actual full payment would be from the outset, in this case that was not case as they have hidden away the details in the small print which most people do not really bother to read.
So I cannot really recommend this company, io would advice avoid at all costs.

I had terrible experience with them. Official SIM Unlock charged me 23CAD. I thought it was the service charge to unlock my old cell phone. I was waiting for the unlock code, and a few days later, they sent me email it was pre order charge and if I wanted to unlock my cell phone I have to pay another 75$. I lost my 23$ without any benefit from them. They never mentioned that I had to pay more in order to get unlock code. Be careful and aware of that. They are just liar. LAIR. NEVER mentioned clearly in their web site what pre order is for. Kind of SCAM web site. Not reliable...

Initially I was skeptical about using this service after reading the reviews I thought let's just give it a try to be honest it was worth it it was very straight forward and easy to use. The only issue is the second charge you have to make when you make the initial payment which was not clear initially but depending on whether you choose to proceed entirely depends upon the individual.

Very bad customer service and very patronising emails received form this robbing Compnay charged me over 120 for phone unlocking with i had requested to be cancelled due to having my phone stolen no sympathy regarding my loss and took my money.

I don't know whether the phone has been unlocked or not as it was stolen but please people be very aware that Official SIM Unlock charge an upfront coat and then a final cost which is not clearly stated when you use the service.

When i purchased the "sim unlock code" i didn't know that i was just paying for the pre purchase and not the actual code because it was not written that you have to pay first a pre purchase order for ¥2000+($20) then Official SIM Unlock will process your order and have to pay again a ¥9000+ ($87)! So beware because they will just show you a cheap price so that you will buy there product and then leave you no choice to pay for the 2nd payment! My gosh this site you are fooling people!

Absolute rip off and a con, service saw the add for 19.99, said it would take a few hours to unlock, it took two day to do the checks. The email came back with my pre order payment that i paid. And then another fee of 39.99 was asked for. I'm not paying it I can get my local shop to do it for £20.00. SIM UNLOCK after VAT (20%) Paid (Inc. Clicked a Google link, completed correctly all data required and then told data was incorrect. It isn't. Their page from Google link doesn't ask for make and model of phone... so apparently thats my fault. Customer service keep sending standard emails and don't bother reading my email or accepting that if Official SIM Unlock don't ask for data customer cannot be held responsible

Official SIM Unlock promote service of network unlocking and I have order their service. They sended unworking key, I have returned video of proof and they said that they finnished with me. Customer support argue with me. Whole conversation You can find on full email provided on links.

Although the order summary states an additional fee MAY be required, a disclaimer under "why do I need to pay this" (readable upon clicking the "Release unlock" link in your email after 24 hours) states that the initial prepayment is standard and is not in fact the "unlock payment". This means a final payment (the actual unlock fee) is a given. This would make their order summary claim that an additional payment "MAY" be required a false and misleading one. Legally speaking this is fraud and mostly certainly a scam. The advertising on the website also makes absolutely no mention of a two part process and instead misleads potential consumers to believe it is a streamlined one-part process. I don't care about 26 dollars but certainly not paying 84 more to finalize it. But then again, Officialsimunlock.com was probably banking on that, considering that the premise of the scam is not having to perform the actual work of unlocking your phone while still collecting 26 dollars. Earning a guaranteed profit without having to deliver on a good or service is in fact theft. And theft my friends is a criminal act. Believe me folks don't waste your money here. The cell phone store down the street from me charges 50 not 26 plus 84 (100). I'm sure there are some in your area that not only charge less but also more than likely employ decent human beings and not loathsome, crusty, soulless scam artists.

Be very careful I've been taken in Official SIM Unlock say it will cost you £20 to unlock your phone they take that money from you and then send you an email later on asking for more money between 50 and 70 pounds it is a complete con as you can get your phone unlocked for £20 most places and they put VAT on the £20 it's not included so beware do not use these people I have reported them as I very much doubt I will get a refund

AVOID. SCAM. It was recommended I took the "pre-order" option which cost £23.99. This sounded about right for a phone unlock to me from the little I know about phone unlocking! I was advised this would take 1-24 hours... this took 4 days. And was only a check to see if my phone could be unlocked ‍ Official SIM Unlock wanted a further £70 to unlock my phone! They couldn't advise me why this cost so much or how they could justify the cost of the "pre-order", in fact they ignored most of my questions in all my emails and just spouted off the same nonsense over and over which was not helpful to me at all. Horrible service. Total rip off. DO NOT USE!

This business offers a money back guarantee on their codes. Unfortunately Official SIM Unlock dont implement the money back guarantee. Their code supplied to me was wrong and are refusing to honor their money back guarantee. I supplied photographic proof of the code being inadequate and if they are in contact with actual vendors they would know the code the sent for my specific phone is the wrong code. Stay away from this business, false advertising! Pictures are worth a 1000 words

Appalling customer service with misleading information at start of process, no pre agreed price as described in FAQs, felt held over a barrel for extortionate second payment couldn't speak to an advisor even after requesting twice by mail and three times by phone message as despite numerous attempts over phone ( totally automated no customer service) would not recommend £72 pound is a long way from 19.99. Did eventually receive code which worked as advised but not in timescales given.

This is a scam company. Official SIM Unlock made me believe I am to pay only 23.99 but they sent a new bill after two days asking 70.99 again. I foolishly went ahead to pay, only for them to tell me my phone cannot be unlocked after waiting for more than 10 working days. Still I was the one that was chasing them, writing emails, sending reminders. They ended up saying it was my fault for providing a blacklisted phone and that they could only refund me 35 pounds. Who needs to unlock a clean phone anyway with third party cheats? And if the phone was blacklisted, why wasn't I notified that after the first payment of 23.99 but instead received a message saying "my phone has been released from the carrier, pay 70.99 to finish unlocking". This is a scam business guys, please do not patronize them.
