Product showed up on time and all worked for the purposes I required but was disappointed when I found both the switches on the lights I bought were broken. Only needed one for the job I was doing so wasn’t perturbed about the first one but had to dummy up the second one to make setup work as I needed to use it that day, the products were rotating amber beacons used to safely pilot a tractor slashing roadsides, dangerous situation when there’s road trains buzzing past at 110 kph
The staff were exceptionally helpful. They were happy to get products from the warehouse to show me and even allowed me to put a foot well water tank in my car to check how well it fit before purchasing. I ended up purchasing a 12v water pump as well and they gave some great recommendations for fittings at a near by store as well as recommendations for adding a 1 way valve etc.
If you're unsure about something I'm sure these guys will be able to answer all your questions and help you out. One of the best customer service experiences I've had in a long time.

I purchased the plastimo 100l water bladder on the 21/5/22 I contacted your company requesting a return of the item on the basis that it was not what I though it was. Given it was outside of the 30 days, I was unable to send it back and instead installed it. I later found that the bladder itself was leaking from the external outlet. As such, I am unable to use it.
Once shipped back to you, could i please be reimbursed for the item, or have it upgraded to the next largest size? I am happy to pay the difference between the two.

I purchased a water pump on the friday and installed it on the saturday. By Saturday lunch time it had stopped working so I returned it on Monday only to be told that they couldn't replace it but it had to be sent off to the manufacturers to be evaluated as to whether it was faulty. I was given a 7 day turn around on the answer and in the meanwhile I had to purchase another pump to replace the faulty one. After numerous phone calls to Outback Equipment over a month and continuously being told that the person I needed to speak to was not available, I was finally given my refund for the faulty water pump (after threatening legal action).
The snorkel kit and filter were delivered quickly and well packed, the engineer who designed the cut-out to fit the snorkel should be tied up and flogged for being an incompetent idiot!! the hole centers for the two 89mm holes line up perfectly with the OD of each other meaning once the first hole is cut the hole center for the second hole is removed ?????? I have a picture of the issue let me know if you would like me to send it to you, other than that good value for money
I'm extremely unhappy with my purchase of the caravan cover & the way it was detailed. I read it to be waterproof & only did I find out it wasn't was when I received it. I immediately asked for clear information on it & was told to send it back with insurance, postage ect. The hassle & cost alone was not worth it. When I explained I was unhappy with the way the cover was written up no mention of sorry or il look into it was mentioned. I was going to be a good customer buying lots as I have just brought a new van as are my friends. I no longer reccomend your company.
I purchased a manual washing machine. The spin cycle didn't work. I called to return the item. I was told to hand spin my clothes then put them back into the machine. (Defeats the purpose) After a few phone calls I said I wanted to send it back as it was not as advertised. The delivery to me was $11 to send it back it cost me $29. I did get a refund but it was a costly experience for me and I will not be purchasing anything from Outback Equipment again.
Product dispatch times are terrible. After finding out how long it would actually take for my order to even leave the store through two follow up phone calls,I wish I hadn't purchased it from outback equipment in the first place. After a third phone call I organized my order to be canceled and that I would be contacted in regards to finalizing the cancelation. No phone call .... and then you sent the order anyway.
Poor form indeed. Very unlikely I'll be purchasing through you guys again. It's a real pity... you seem to have some good deals.

The length selected after talking to your emplyee was ok but the cover was far too wide and high by about 1 metre on each side.
I am not confident in buying your products online and will not recommend my camping friends to use your site
Coincidently I found the same product at Aldi for under $100 after I got your delivery
Very poor communication from the company, only notified me 2 weeks after ordering the parts and only after I contacted them, waited another 3 weeks before canceling my order cause they still didn’t have the part in stock, but at the time of ordering their website said the parts were in stock and even before I cancelled the order it was still saying on their website that they had them, would not recommend this company to anyone, if I could give a zero star I would have
It was OK, but I had looked at a product on the website and then I was flooded with social media reminders courtesy of AdWords. I eventually decided to purchase now rather than later but you had no stock. It would be good if the hassling was reserved for products in stock.
I am pretty sure that delivery was by Australia Post, but your website would allow me to direct the package to our PO Box. Fortunately, we were home when the postie arrived and we didn't have to risk theft from the apartment foyer.
Most aspects of the purchase were trouble free. The painful part was a freight charge booked in as an oversize parcel. Reminds me of Comet back in the 80’s where freight was charged based on weight, if it was heavy, dimensions, if it was lighter than heavy and larger than an envelope. I’m sure there was a third consideration that was even more expensive, but can’t remember.
This negative may or may not be within Outback’s control, but ordering a single curved rafter invoke a freight charge that is more than the rafter.
Not very happy with the timeliness of their service. Ordered a replacement Breaksafe battery for my van on Tue 27 Apr. Paid additional money for express delivery as I needed it by 5 May. On Tue 3 Apr I tang to see where it was, as I couldn't even track it yet! Had not left the warehouse. Supposedly then got personally dispatched on Tue 3 Apr .... but still did not arrive until Fri 6 Apr .... too late! 5 full working days should be ample time to deliver an item internally in Brisbane! Especially after paying extra for express post!
Guys I drove up from Geelong to pick all my equipment that I’d ordered weeks before made phone calls an emails to confirm everything was there for collection you staff on 3 occasions confirmed it was…. and guess what it wasn’t. You arranged for me to travel 20 klms away to collect the Aircond, the sink was sorry unavailable. On my drive back to Perth I went on line to find a sink, your site came up as having one…. My mistake I trusted your company and purchased it was dispatched 6/5 arrived in perth 29/5. The dispatch company you used when I chased where my parcel was the help number in Philippines Fiji or wherever help number was were rude and zero help.
Honestly you need to lift you game I will not be using your company again.

Ordered Products that when added to Cart you would assume were in Stock. Paid, Receipt was Sent, waited a week and did not yet have a Tracking Number so thought give them a call to see where my order was up to. Was told order had been Dispatched and should have Tracking Number within 24hrs. That didn’t happen and few days later called again and was told AGAIN that it had indeed been Dispatched but after the few days I waited so not received any Tracking Number. AGAIN I call, put on hold and waited while the fellow on the Phone asked his “manager” to where it’s Status was. AGAIN was told it was Dispatched and their Courier had picked it up the afternoon before, and we’ve just started moving Warehouses, but as I was about to hang up, the person who took the call last words were “Good Luck” yeah right, so I Contacted Courier via several emails and was told they had not picked up anything addressed to myself from Outback equipment. So AGAIN call them and asked to speak to someone who can tell me as to why I’d been lied too that it had been Dispatched 3 times but the Courier had not picked it up. This is the reply “ Sometimes our Courier doesn’t use the Barcode to identify where it’s going until they get back to their Warehouse” what a load of rubbish, AGAIN lied to. I then told him that if I have to make another phone call to them it will be from the Department of Fair Trading. I then get and excuse that in fact it had not been sent but it will leave this afternoon. AGAIN lied to. Call the very next day with a complaint number from DFT in hand. All of a sudden all these apologies start as to why my Purchases had not been sent, load of rubbish. Even had a friend drive past both addresses I was given, one the neighbour to there Coopers Plains said they’d left a month ago. I eventually got my Products, but as for service, they have none. Word of WARNING DO NOT PURCHASE FROM OUTBACK EQUIPMENT!!!
This has been a terrible experience for me.
I was told by a staff member that the firepit was a flat pack and when I received it it was not. (Now it won’t fit in our caravan) After multiple follow ups they agreed for me to send it back and reimburse me for the item and postage.
I had to purchase bubble wrap go to post office Etc. Big inconvenience.
I have since been reimbursed for the item but not for the postage.
This took way too much follow up from my end. The staff should know the products they are selling. If a mistake is made that’s ok, but just fix it promptly. I will never purchase from this company again and will be letting everyone in the 4WD forums I’m apart of to be warned of Outback Equipment.
Now I’m left to raise a dispute to get my money back.
Very happy with the product, however, I was not quite so happy about my tracking advise or should I say lack of it. I was notified that the item had been despatched but that was the end of that. I had to ring Outback to find out where it was and when to expect it, only to be told that it had already arrived in Adelaide, too late for me to fit it into my caravan before my scheduled trip away. Most frustrating, otherwise, all good.
Service was fast and delivery quick. Upon opening the item the evening before we were leaving the plastic clip was broken however we made it work. On our first use of unzipping the bag, the HEAVY DUTY zip split and continues to keep splitting. As we are currently away I have limited access to the internet and telephone however I endeavour to contact Outback Equipment as I am not entirely happy for a new product to be so faulty. Other than this it would be a great product.
I know it is not your fault the goods ordered on 6th April 2022 under Invoice N501956 and despatched on 8th April 2022 via Aramex to Perth, are yet to be delivered. I think you should change your transport company as the delay is unacceptable even with Covid affecting all manner of things. I have tried to contact Aramex and this is impossible except via the tracking Number or by their messaging system. They have apologized but are unable to advise a delivery date.
Your staff is trying to help track the whereabouts of the goods but I understand you have trouble talking to Aramex. I do need the goods urgently as am scheduled to make a trip in our van shortly.

This is the WORST customer service I have ever come across in all my years purchasing and selling online. They never get back to your emails which leaves you no option other than to get Paypal involved. The Goods eventually arrived after 5 weeks from the purchase date. if I had known it was going to take this long I would have purchased elsewhere I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH OR RECOMMEND OUTBACK EQUIPMENT to anyone.
