Panera Bread (Allen Park, MI)
I usually stop at this Panera on my morning into work, sometime between 7 & 7:30 am. I actualy order my breakfast via online 10/22/2020 and picked it up on my way into work. I got to work and looked at my sandwich and it had no meat (Brioche scramble egg and bacon sandwich). It had a lot of cheese, very little egg and no bacon. I called back to the store and spoke with the manager Christy/Kristy and she told me I could come back the next morning for a replacement or Panera Bread can mail me coupons for my inconvenience. I decided to go back the next morning and she was there. I received my same order again for free (incl my decaf latte). Go to work again, "what is this yellow runny stuff?" I had extra bacon but they egg was not scrambled. I only eat scrambled eggs :( I am over it now. I appreciate the manager for helping me but that staff person need to be retrained on making sandwiches again.

Worst Pizza ever!
I have a Panera 3 blocks from my house (East Rutherford). I had never ordered from Panera. I fell for their TV commercial about their new pizza. Looked delicious with all that melted cheese so I ordered one for delivery. I'm 68 and have enjoyed many, many pizzas in my life. I ordered a pizza with added mozzarella. I was surprised when "LESS THAN " 10 minutes later it said on the way. How could that be? Not even enough time to make a pizza. Had to be the worst pizza I've ever received. Pie was barely warm and the cheese was not melted. The not melted slices of mozzarella were still standing tall. You can easily tell cheese that was melted and cooled verses cheese that was never melted. I'll never order from Panera again. $17 wasted. Do yourself a favor. If you have an urge for pizza get it from a real pizza place not a pizza place wannabe.

All around disappointment.
Went to Panera yesterday afternoon at a slow time of day (4:00pm). Order a bowl of soup with a brioche roll/side and a drink. Soup was cold, and a baguette instead of a brioche roll. I made a comment to staff about the problems, that went unanswered, so I took the soup to the microwave to heat it up myself. Microwave was filthy, but I heated the soup up anyway. After a few minutes gathering my thoughts, I asked to speak to a manager. The manager came out promptly, I explained my concerns to the manager, and she offered apologies, and excuses, but did nothing to rectify the problems. Overall, it was a bad experience at Panera, and certainly my last visit to this particular location.

Coffee Subscription Glitch
I signed up for a free trial of the coffee subscription, being a professional driver and coffee addict- I loved the idea of having access to coffee for a flat rate. After three or four cups of pure disappointment where each cup was cold or just watered down and undrinkable no matter how much creamer or sugar added… I canceled and left a 3 star review saying I love the idea and I'd definitely come back if Panera Bread get better coffee. That was 9 months ago. I have discovered that there was a glitch that they didn't cancel my subscription. It's on me that I didn't realize they were charging me $10 a month, but I do go to Panera for food bc it's close, quick and easy for work, so a charge a month didn't raise a red flag until I saw it today and said wait a minute, it's been a while since I went to panera, why is there a charge here? I realized it was a subscription fee…groaning, I do a history search and see how long it's been that they charged me. I tried to cancel immediately… and it GLITCHED- a small brief pop up said "OOPS SOMETHING WENT WRONG PLEASE TRY AGAIN" but it disappeared so quick… I thought "oh wow, this is kinda shady, if I hadn't caught that, they would have kept charging me AGAIN"…so I did try again to cancel, twice more before it went through. Screen shot with the tiny pop up to show how they were getting away with not canceling when you try to. No doubt this happened when I canceled before. I called to see what they would do about it, since I CLEARLY never used the coffee subscription and it was $10 for 9 months…. They refused to refund. Okay. That's unfortunate. They will never have my business again and I will share with all of my coworkers this info. Being a professional driver for the top two rideshare companies in America… we have a community that's closer than most realize. We have Facebook groups, local and national, quite a few apps to stay in touch with each other, and we meet and hang out especially at the airport waiting for rides, share tips and pointers while waiting for rides. Being a leader and senior driver, my advice is respected. When I tell other drivers where to go for a good oil change rate or tire repair… word gets around. When I recommend restaurants for customers and talk about my favorite places in the city, promoting businesses… my voice is heard. And while $90 is a drop in the bucket to some, it's not to me. That's two oil changes. That's two tanks of gas. To take my money without giving me anything in return? When I ASSUREDLY canceled the service within the same month, didn't even wait out the three free months…. Angers me beyond words that they have a convenient glitch, great way to keep people from canceling. Thanks reader, for sticking it out and reading this novel of a review! Be safe out there and don't put up with less respect than you deserve!

Consistently disappointing, inconsistent, and bad management!
I like to eat healthy so I prefer eating at a restaurant that provides a variety of choices other than hamburgers and fried chicken, however, after repeated attempts at my local Panera Conyers, Hwy 138/McDonough Road, Cafe# 202558, I will find any other alternative. Almost every time I have visited that location there has been an issue with the food I order or Panera Bread are out of items on the menu. In spite of their shortcomings, I have returned because the previous managers have been understanding, considerate and eager to regain my business. All that ended today. I placed a delivery order and it was completely wrong. I called Panera to correct the error and the person I spoke to was very rude and belligerent. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me she did not know the manager's name. I heard the manager speaking to her in the background and the person finally conceded the manager's name is "Ashley". But when I requested Ashley's last name, she abruptly hung up on me. If I could give them less than 1 star I would.

There are better options
I ordered online for delivery, and when the order arrived it was incomplete. Driver said that is what Panera provided. So I called store several times during the slow time before anyone even bothered to answer the phone. Rude manager blamed it on the driver and refused to make it right. So I called Door Dash, who attempted to reach Panera, but no one answered. So Panera blames Door Dash, and Door Dash blames Panera. Neither Panera corporate nor Door Dash corporate empowers their corporate employees to make this right. So, as the customer, I get the run around and I am out the cost of my missing order, taxes, delivery fee and tip. But the run around ends with me ending shopping again at Panera. Food is overpriced. Manager wasn't interested in even providing customer service. Customer service is worse than the overpriced food. Corporate is a joke, offering empty apologizes but doing nothing. So Panera, keep the gift you received today from me but in the long run it will cost you business.

I can't even describe how excellent the customer service is.
Talk about amazing! I have ordered Panera Bread delivery for lunch at my work four times in the past two weeks! Panera Bread have not disappointed! My lunch ALWAYS arrives BEFORE the estimated delivery time, it is FRESH, and EXACTLY how I want it, and the delivery drivers are always so professional, nice, helpful, and friendly. I've had two drivers serve me, and both offered coupons each time. The food is so delicious that I can't get enough of it! I've had the almond chicken salad sandwich, bagels and cream cheese, yogurt cup, frozen lemonade, Caesar chicken salad, broccoli cheddar soup, and frozen caramel. Everything has been so mouth-watering. When I order extra dressing, they give me extra. I ordered extra chicken on my salad, and there was literally almost too much chicken to eat! Just the way I like it! My Panera Bread store is located on 1922 Augusta St. Greenville, SC 29605. The service, timeliness, cleanliness, deliciousness, and the experience is just out of this world! I am so impressed!

Trap
Do NOT try the coffee subscription. I set up an account with a brand new password to try it out (never once went in for coffee) and tried to cancel it that first month. Panera Bread locked me out of the account and claimed my password had expired. It was less than a month old how could it be expired?! This isn't NASA - a restaurant account doesn't need to have a password change every few days for security. Sounds like a scam to make it so they can keep charging peoples cards. No password reset option was available of course due to it apparently being high risk? $50 later (zero coffee had) I finally get ahold of someone to cancel this subscription. I asked to remove ONE of the charges. Hard pass by the Panera rep. I had to call my CC and dispute the charges due to the sleazy way they handled the cancellation.

A Toxic Relationship
Panera bread started off great for me. Panera Bread had their Tortellini Alfredo pasta, which was one of my absolute favorites and one of my favorite cookies. I was in the honeymoon phase at this point, I couldn't see how anything could be wrong (maybe the prices were a little too high in my opinion, but that did not stop me due to how much I fancied their pasta). This slowly started going South, and I am not talking about geographically. It started when I was making my regular order, a Tortellini Alfredo with a Pepsi on the side, then the words "we no longer sell this item" came out of the cash register's mouth. What? I took a good thirty second to comprehend what just happened, my jaw and eyes wide open. Ever since that day, it has been immense disappointment each time I visit Panera, but I keep coming back in hopes that the next visit will be better than the last. Not only did they get rid of my beloved tortellini a year back, but now they no longer have the regular Mac and Cheese... only Broccoli Mac and Cheese. Who in the world eats THAT? Anyways, the service is mediocre for the price and the menu just keeps getting worse. Consider this as my official break-up letter. I'm sorry Panera, but we are through.

Never again, Panera!
I'm so done with Panera! I wasn't happy when Panera Bread took over Paradise Bakery and cheapened all their awesome recipes, but I went back occasionally, and was always disappointed somehow. Paradise Bakery was the bomb! Panera made all their recipes smaller portions and increased the prices. I went to Panera on Lake Pleasant Parkway in Peoria, AZ last week and that was the final straw. Got a pick 2 combo with chicken walnut sandwich and a corn chowder. Didn't get the pickle with my sandwich, nor did I get the baguette with my soup, but those are minor things. When I opened the sandwich it had 1 tablespoon of chicken walnut salad on it! WTF? I hadn't even noticed the other missing items yet, so I turned around and went back through the drivethru and they explained that is the amount in the scoop that Panera allows. Then on the way home I opened the soup only to find it was a very watered down (almost clear) chowder that looked like someone opened a can of generic soup and poured in the cup ~ not like thick chowder should be. Flavorless and watered down. Then I noticed the missing pickle and baguette. It's ridiculous how they've really let this place go. I'll never go to a Panera or say a good word about them again ~ disgusting!

Bad Night
I had a terrible experience at your restaurant. On Saturday night last week, I was picking up dinner for my girlfriend and myself. The young lady at the cash register was pleasant, but I was sad to see that so many of my favorite soups were unavailable. After ordering a couple sandwiches, a soup, and a salad, I waited for my order. When I got home, we were extremely sad to find that many things in our order were wrong. There was no bacon on my girlfriend's Turkey, Avocado, BLT. There was no extra pickle that I had asked for, and there was no silverware in the bag. I know things can be busy on a Saturday; things run out. But, I expect a little more from Panera. I have always loved your food. I am willing to give your business another chance, I just thought I should bring this to your attention. What should have been a great meal and a great night was lost. It was all because little things were missing or mismanaged.

Very Unprofessional
I'm waiting on my food at the Panera in York Pa on Carlisle rd. There is 4 soups with bread on the counter. Lady came in to clear up the problem. So I over hear the staff ask Erin the shift manager to put it back in the pot. I then walk up and say I don't want any of that food in my order. It's been sitting there for over three minutes.
I then continued to talk to my son. Erin ask what am I saying. I explain to her I talking to my son she ask again what did I say. I then explain that the food that sat on the count should be thrown away, Erin began to get smart with me then tell her what she is doing is wrong. Word for word with the customer not okay. The conversation was done and she continued to argue with me. I then began to walk out the store, then she say I need you to leave, coming from around the counter. She tried to take me order out of my hand. I tell her she wrong for following me. She follows me outside and say she will call the cops. I tell her to go ahead. She still walking behind me to my car. She on her phone and and says to dispatch I threatened her. No! I did not! Don't say that. I then pull off cause I'm already late for work.
One hour later here come police at my job banding me from all Panera stores. Are you serious Erin

Online Order Terrible Service
I ordered 3 Packages of Panera Small Scones for a Ministry Ladies Retreat. I ordered 3 days in advance. I received confirmation my order was ready 1/2 hour before arriving. I arrived at the store on time. The Employee waiting on me indicated my order was not ready. She found one packet of the mini scones. She asked if she could replace the mini scones with larger scones, and I said fine. She put 4 scones (There are 10 scones in each of the three packets I ordered.) She indicated she was going to the back to locate more scones. She came out and gave me a large brown bag. I said Thank You and went out to my car. It contained the one bag of mini scones and 4 regular size scones. I went back into the store. Panera Bread were very busy handling other Customers. I saw the young lady who served me, and I asked, How could you deceive me by giving me less than half of what I ordered and sending me off like you had taken care of me? She said she was sorry and continued helping the other Customers. She looked over and said see if you an find anything to replace what you ordered. I walked around, but they had very little left in their display, except Bagels, which I did not want. I finally picked up the last box of pastries. I really did not want them, but it was obvious no one cared. I returned to the Cash register. The young Lady continued helping other customers. The store was crazy busy, but all that did to me was make me feel they did not care about the way I had been treated. I stood there a couple of minutes. Another employee walkded by. I stopped him. I explained the siutation. I asked could I walk out with this box of pastires. He said yes. I left. I have never received worse service than this. I not get what I ordered online. Additionally, Panera Bread did not offer a refund, apology, or any form of kindness in Customer Service. This is extremely sad! This was the Panera Bread store on main street in Cartersville, Georgia.

What has happened to Panera Bread?
Tulsa, OK, South Memorial Drive location: What has happened to Panera Bread? Quality has gradually been declining over the past year, not only on the one we just visited in Tulsa, but also locations in OKC as well. (These may be franchises, don't know, makes no difference.)
Today, Thursday, September 10,2020, order a bowl of Chicken Soup. It came out half full, mostly broth, very little chicken, a couple of noodles, a vegetable or two. Absolutely, not the quality or the quantity that Panera prided itself in delivering.
Over the past year, the two locations we visit in OKC (Edmond and north OKC on Memorial) have also seemed to decline in quality and quantity.
Service by the personnel at all locations has always been good and hopefully that will continue, but due to the declining quality of food being served, it is difficult to go back. May try it again in a few months, but not any time soon. We used to be regulars, at least twice a week at OKC Paneras, but can not see that continuing. Hopefully, Panera management(s) will make a correction on this.
I can be reached for comment. Today's experience in Tulsa was dine-in, order number 105742, Cafe # 202840, 11:48:42 AM, Customer/Pager # 38.

Very poor customer service
I walked in the Bethel Rd store at 7AM. Immediately the man working there asked to take my order. I ordered a dozen bagels to go. He then looked at his computer screen and began to put together a different order. He put some bagels on the counter that weren't in my order. Then he started on my order. He started slicing a few of the bagels and I told him he didn't have to slice them. Then he put together another order, that WASN'T mine. He place some bagels on a pan and put them over on another counter. Then, he went back to my order. He kept looking at his computer screen and then back to grabbing bagels. As he was slicing bagels, I noticed he was adding other bagels that weren't in my order and slicing them too. Huh? I didn't say anything. Then he finally starts putting my bagel order in bags. Still not finished with my order, he asks the guy in line behind me what he wanted to order. The worker proceeded to get that mans order, took his money, gave him his order and sent him on his way. THEN, still not finished bagging my order, the panera worker asked the next guy in line behind me for his order. I blew. I let him no that NO absolutely was he not taking another order from someone else before he finished bagging my order. He was not at all apologetic. He bagged my order and while he was bagging it, before he even handed it to me he again asked the guy behind me for his order.
This is totally innappropriate. This guy could have thrown my 12 bagels in a bag when I arrived at 7AM. And I could have been out of there in 2 minutes or less. Instead I had to wait for him to put together several other orders, I assume pick-up orders, as well as the others in line behind me, before he could finish with mine. Totally unacceptable. He was rude, and unapologetic. If this is how Panera wants to do business, with terrible employees and terrible customer service, I will not be going back.

Elimination of menu items
Here we go again. Panera has eliminated everything I like from the menu. I am a big fan of the Thai chopped salad and has been gone for a while. It is gone, along with the sprouted wheat rolls. I have tried to keep an open mind and try other menu items but, have been unsuccessful. I have tried to be a good sport and try other menu items, but I am done. The Asian sesame salad is weak in comparison. The Green goddess salad is off point. Lastly, I tried the BBQ chicken salad and it put me over the wall. It was gross to say the least. I got a salad with chicken slathered in BBQ sauce. I felt disgusting after this meal. Panera, you are dead to me. Stop trying to expand your menu and stick to the basics of what is good.

Bad service
The Panera Bread I am referring to is located at 1195 Woodstock Rd, Roswell GA 30075. I placed a to go order and was told Panera Bread will call my name. I sat close to the front so I would not miss my name being called: Finally the person that was behind me received his order, so I went up to see why my name was not called, the cook stated she my name but she Never did. My food was there and was cold. Almost got to my car when I noticed there was no Chicken on my Salad. Went back in and explained to the cook that the chicken was left off, there was no apology and they had a attitude. I will never spend my money at this location.

AVOID THE ROSENBERG TEXAS PANERA BREAD LOCATION LIKE THE PLAGUE
Panera Bread has an *amazing* sourdough bread, when it's made right, and WHEN you can get someone at a store to sell it to you.

I stopped into the Rosenberg, Texas Panera Bread yesterday afternoon to try and buy my very own Superior Sourdough loaf.

I could see my prize sitting there on the bread shelf when I walked in.

I walked (as if in a dream) by the only service attendant in the place busy talking to someone at a table.

I walked to the counter.

Ummmm...

This is where everything came *crashing* down.

So. I stood there. Then I stood there a little longer. Then I looked over at the service attendant busily gabbing with the person at the table, COMPLETELY ignoring a customer trying to place an order at their restaurant.

No response there.

Then I left. For good.

I've been to the Rosenberg, Texas Panera Bread once or twice before. Yep. The last two times I went the service has been awful to nonexistent, like it was yesterday.

So I left and went over to Kroger to buy my second favorite bread, a *delicious* Rosemary Olive Oil bread that only Kroger makes.

I'll never be back to that Panera Bread, and I hope lots of other good folks avoid the place too.
I just don't understand how Panera Bread can completely *ignore* MONEY walking in the door and stay in business too long. Panera just doesn't deserve to be in business at that location imho.

My guess?

I give them six months. Hopefully they won't be there sooner than that.

Poor Service
My online order on Wednesday 8/16 #613616233 (Jenkintown PA Store) *******380 was for 3 Fuji Salads with the included bread and 3 brownies. Order total came to $37.81. When I picked up I looked in the large shopping bag and saw the 3 salads a another large bag which I though contained the bread and brownies. Should have checked before leaving; the brownies weren't in there. When I got to the office and saw and called the store. Manager said we are out of brownies and I could come back Wednesday or Thursday and pick something else out. I requested a credit on my amex and was told I still had to come back to the store. Brownies are 2.79 each total 8.37 + tax. It will cost me way more than that in gas and time. So keep he brownies and the money.
