It's great until your pet dies.
Long Story Short (because it's a long one).

I joined PetCare RX Membership August 2019. My cat and I had flown from Australia to live in America with my now husband. While it wasn't difficult to visit a vet and get prescriptions for her Chronic Renal Failure, I found the food was quite expensive; hence got the PetCare RX Membership after looking up reviews.

It (the system) works well enough, delivery is within 7 business days. Sometimes 2, sometimes longer, was hard to judge sometimes and had me rushing to the vets for a couple of cans if I fell short for a day or two. But at least the tracking was reliable.

I bought something (cat vitamins) one time, and was mistaken on what it was. I could've and had permission to send it back, OPEN AND ALL (because I did open it and had let them know) as long as I paid shipping. I wouldn't usually have a problem with that, but it was $5-$7 product, so not worth the hassle / shipping. I was surprised that PetCareRx wanted me to send it back considering that's a waste of employee / warehouse resources (I have 10 years of experience in this kind of thing) and also the fact that it had been opened.

I noticed 3-5 months down the line, that her (renal) food was gradually increasing in price. Again at 7-9 month, and again 11-13 month. Whether it was the exchange rate, Covid (later on) or something shady happening in the background, it was still cheaper than the vets. I even contacted Hill's and Royal Canin to make sure and Petcare RX was still below the Recommended Retail. So, good for me... at the time.

This is where it gets messy.
To put this bluntly. While I was waiting on a shipment of food that was in transit, my poor cat (of 19 years mind you, and I'm 28) passed away; her body couldn't keep up with her spirit anymore. I notified PetCare RX ASAP via email about the shipment. I was pretty heartbroken, still am (almost a month later). Heard no response, the food delivered. I eventually called them after a 2nd email which no one responded to. Well. Because it's prescription food, they completely refuse to accept it back. I've never opened it, haven't even opened the packaging / the box it is in altogether. Still haven't as I'm not sure what to do with it honestly (24 cans of prescription food to be specific). I even asked them what they expected me to do with it; still haven't got a response to that question. They went ahead and cancelled my membership without my approval - only 3 months in from the renewal (of 2nd year). I was so shocked by the amount of disrespect and full of $#*! that they gave me, I've been completely beside myself.

It is one thing being safe. It's another being downright rude and completely uncaring for the customers. We are talking about an unopened box, cans wrapped in plastic packaging. If my cat was alive, then fair. I ordered it.
But she's gone. She left before it was even delivered. How am I supposed to use it?

Regarding the cancellation of my membership - I even told them, that I have other cats - they don't require prescription food which is why I never added them onto the membership (as that adds more to the membership cost), but happy to have one of their names on there. Nope. Never responded about that. Doesn't matter to me because it's not cheaper than Walmart anyway (maybe $1-$2, which I'm sure the membership makes up for that).

I even just tried to log in today out of curiosity to see if I have an account.
I don't even have an account anymore.

And last but not least as a final note, I ordered a lot of stuff from them. Prescription food, medication and normal cat food and kitty litter here and there (which FYI is not cheaper than Walmart). Over the 14-15 months I had about $40 worth of "points" to spend (which I did get to spend while I was waiting for the emails - thank goodness since they wouldn't have let me I'm sure). Don't get fooled by this. They will charge you shipping, they will charge you the full price of the product despite having the membership. You basically choose, to use your membership or the "point price" (which is normal price). It sounds like they are trying to do you a favor but, it's not. It is stupid, and they should just scratch it off.

I hate to say this cause it worked well for me when my cat was alive.
But if I get into a situation where I need prescription food for one of my other cats, I'll be supporting the vet - despite the premium price.

Constantly trying to up-sell me
I have honestly never been more appalled by a company. My dog requires a prescription and it is most convenient for me to get it mailed to me due to my work schedule. I also get it through PetCareRX because this is what my pet insurance covers.

However the past 3 out of 5 times I have ordered his medication online, I have promptly received an email stating that I need to call their customer service line before being PetCareRx were willing to send his medicine.

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I call they end up trying to sell me on their "PetPlus" membership "discount" plan on their website. They refuse to send his medication until I call. It's not because of a billing issue or because of an issue with his medication. They are just trying to sell me their "discount plan". I have stated repeatedly that I have no interest in this plan and I just want the medicine and they continue to force me to call them.

Beyond the annoyance and persistence of constantly being asked to join their PetPlus plan, if you look into the cost difference between their membership pricing and standard pricing at other retailers (Chewy, Petsmart, Petco)... it's STILL MORE EXPENSIVE TO GET THE ITEMS THROUGH PETCARERX.

AND THEN beyond my two issues stated above, they spam call me every other month... trying to get me to join their useless, senseless, over priced discount plan.

I am so over this company.

Nasty Represetative Named Ashley!
Your representative Ashley delivered the worst service I have ever received from this company! I ordered dog food through PetCare RX that has no tracking number, so yesterday I called PetCare Rx and spoke with a very helpful and friendly representative. She called Royal Canin to ask if my dog's food was shipped, and said to the best of her understanding it was? I am worried because if my dog does not receive this food she will poop straight blood, so making sure she has her food is of the utmost importance. This woman Ashley was rude and would not allow me the opportunity to speak with a manager to help me with my issue. I spend an enormous amount of money with your company and this was by far the worst experience. Your representative found my urgency and concern over this issue funny as she laughed at me and hung up the phone! I guess Ashley needs to be reminded how lucky she is to have a job that most don't even have in a troubling time like what the country is facing.

Took my money for a membership and won't process the order
I wish I would have come here before joining their club. I paid to join the club price and order my dogs' prescriptions over 2 weeks ago. This happened because a man names Andrew kept calling me relentlessly saying my order had been cancelled, and to please call him back.

I did so, and he claimed resubmitted the order for me- but not before I agreed to enroll in their club discount plan. I reluctantly did because he quoted me a great price for the two prescriptions I needed, and honestly, he wouldn't stop asking.

After I got off the phone with him, I was charged for the membership, yet, again, my order never went through.

I called back and spoke to another representative yesterday, who said there was absolutely no record of my order the second time from Andrew sending it through.

Now my dogs are almost a full month behind on their medication, and all I've done is pay for a membership that it seems like I won't ever be able to use.

Ashley - Customer Service is wonderful!
As many of you know when your pets become ill you want the best for them. However, the financial burden of medication and vet care can cause additional stress. When my dog became ill and medication was the only way to give her quality of life - I did much research to find a way we can add this additional bill to our budget without a financial strain. I came across PetCareRX and PetCareRx were a life saver. I have found that their medications by far are much less than any other web site and their customer service is wonderful. Recently I had to add a medication to my Auto ship and Ashley Raghoo was very helpful. She not only reassured me that I would relieve my dogs medication on time but she reminded me that I had points - (an added benefit to Auto ship) to put to toward my order which saved me even more money. If you are in the same situation, with all honesty you can't go wrong with PetCare RX - They are the best!

Tamara sets the standard for customer care
Our first introduction to your pharmacy was a phone conversation with Tamara. We told her about our rescue dog Henry and his diagnosis with canine cushings disease. Henry was taken from a puppy mill at the age of 8 along with 18 other dachshunds by the state. He was placed in two different shelters for adoption. Henry was adopted once and brought back to the shelter by a family that could not meet his needs. When we met Henry, he was living at his final chance shelter and scheduled to be put to sleep the week we found him. We adopted Henry and he has been a part of our family for the last 4 years. After only a year with us he was diagnosed with canine cushings. Without his meds, he quickly becomes very ill. Our original small pet pharmacy was bought out by a big corporate machine. Needless to say, we lost our connection with anyone who really cared about our Henry and his well being. Due to a disconnect between customer service and the actual pharmacy, our Henry went without his meds for days until our local vet could expedite his script to their office. In the meantime Henry became very ill and suffered with overheating and stress. We were so happy to meet Tamara and PetCareRX. Tamara listened patiently and helped put our worries away. We knew we had found a group of caring professional people who are genuinely concerned about Henry's health and well being. Tamara walked us through the set-up process and helped us find ways to save money on a prescription that is fairly expensive industry wide. On our very first order we knew we found a gem in Tamara. She was able to problem solve a quick delivery to our home here in Maine and followed up with us on Henry's script. Tamara is absolutely a patient, caring professional who sets the standard for what customer service should be. You should give her a raise and use her calls to train your agents. Thank you Tamara. You made a real difference in our lives.

Cancellation of account/Customer Service
The Website is difficult to maneuver, I cannot find anywhere to cancel my account online to do this and this will be the 2nd year that PetCareRx have charged a $100 membership fee to me, no notification, it's just something that magically appears on my CC statement each year. I called the service number last year to cancel my account and thought I had this taken care of but to my displeasure I was again charged for membership which I have not used for any purchases for 2 years. Called the phone number for customer service and of course received the typical message stating "all are operators are currently busy" which really means "we're currently understaffed"... so... they give you an option to leave your call-back number which I did and to no surprise, no one called me back. Unfortunately I have to cancel my credit card so that I don't get charged again next year... this is a great concept, its just a shame that their customer service would be so unprofessional.

No complaints
I haven't actually received my first order yet, so I guess I might be getting ahead of myself, but so far the process has gone well. The website was easy to use, PetCareRx had the prescription cat food I wanted, the price was reasonable. I like that I just had to put down the name of my vet and they do the work of getting it approved by our vet. That was all done really fast, and now the order is on it's way. Andrew Singer called me today and the main point of his call was obviously to try to upgrade to their Wholesale deal, which costs money but since I plan on this being a repeat order, it makes sense as a way to save money over time, so I didn't see any reason not to. He is clearly a salesperson and probably is expected to upgrade customers to Wholesale, but he was polite and personable I didn't feel unduly pressured or anything. I get the impression that if any problems arise in the future with an order or with my vet, they are a company who will strive to provide good customer service.

"Excellent Customer-Focused Service"
I am a new customer to PetCareRx and was delighted with the courteous and detailed service delivered during the telephone conversation on 11/11/2019 with Andrew. My order was placed online Sunday, 11/10/2019, for my adorable little girl, 12 year old, Pomeranian, and I received a call Monday, 11/11/2019, regarding the status of my order for my baby's medication. Andrew provided an update regarding my med order and also made me aware of additional savings available if I joined the Pet Plus membership program. The Pet Plus membership program offered immediate benefits that were attractive to me as a pet owner. I am looking forward to the experience that I will encounter as a new member to Pet Plus and customer of PetCareRx. Special thanks to Andrew for the courteous and customer-focused service via our telephone interaction!

Horrible customer Services
I have been a member of PetcareRx for so many years. This July, 2017, for the first time, I made a mistake. I accidentally order flea med for cat and not for dog which is what I needed. I asked to speak to a manager, Megan, and I explained my error to see if she could exchange my order. She said that it was my mistake and she couldn't help me.
Then I told her that I wanted to cancel my membership with them if that was the case.
She said that the only way she will cancel my membership if I were to pay them the full price for the wrong medication that I cannot use because I got a discount price as a member. This definitely felt like another slap on my face.
I will never, never buy from them again.
Please watch out for business like this. PetCareRx will love you until you make a mistake.

Best customer support in a vast desert of bad customer support
Before I was contacted by Andrew singer at pet Care RX, I was very frustrated because I could not get in touch was a real human being at the vet website recommended by my veterinarian. I was trying to refill an order for some special diet dog food, and I had received an email telling me the next shipment would be delayed due to a manufacturer shortage. When I called the company, I was kept in a revolving voicemail cycle and never transferred to an operator even though I kept pressing 0. Then I decided to send an email to an address that had been given to me by the company to see if I could get a status. This was three or four hours ago and I still have not received a reply to that email. Imagine my surprise after I found the same dog food on pet Care RX and place my order I got a call from a human being named Andrew Singer. Due to the pandemic, I have waited as long as an hour on hold waiting for a customer service rep to respond to my call because things are overloaded. Having a real person reach out to me to assist was a treasure today. Andrew answered all of my questions very patiently and we are just waiting for my veterinarian to approve the prescription diet. Meanwhile I still haven't heard back from the other online vet website. Thank you for providing excellent customer service!

THEY ARE THIEVES, DO NOT EVER OBLIGAT YOURSELF TO THESE...
PetCareRx ARE THIEVES, DO NOT EVER OBLIGAT YOURSELF TO THESE CROOKS WITH AUTOMATIC SHIPMENTS, THEY WILL NOT STOP THE SHIPMENTS I DON'T CARE HOW FAR IN ADVANCE YOU NOTIFY THEM AND IF YOU FIND YOURSELF WITH AN UNWANTED SHIPMENT, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT FOLLOW THEIR VERBAL INSTRUCTIONS TO REFUSE AND GIVE IT TO YOUR CARRIER. I HAVE BEEN TRYING SINCE 04/26/10 TO GET $129.00 BACK FOR MY FIXED INCOME 75 YEAR OLD MOTHER; WITH THE USPS BACKING ME UP WITH DOCUMENTATION THAT IT WAS RETURNED. I CANCELED THE AUTO-SHIP IN 02/10 THEY SENT IT ANYWAY IN APRIL AND THEN ATTEMPTED TO SEND YET ANOTHER ONE IN JUNE! THEY ARE A SMALL COMPANY OF AROUND 150 PEOPLE IN UP STATE NEW YORK. THEY ARE NOT VERY ELDERLY, PET, CONSUMER OR AMERICAN FRIENDLY. LET THE BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS HEARTLESS THIEVING COMPANY.

INCREDIBLE SERVICE - Ashley Is An Angel - Order Number: N2128160 - 11/05/2020
I have never really considered getting my dog's prescriptions online until recently. The process with my vet has become time consuming, inconvenient, and ultimately frustrating. So I went on my search for a reliable place on the internet. I needed to get a very popular med that no other site had, and I checked 10. Then I tried PetCareRx.

Not only did I find the med I needed at PetCareRx, their costumer service rep Ashley called to resolve some issues with my order. She was 100% amazing! Not just professional, she was actually kind. She was patient, informative, and ended up saving me money. Her recommendations will end up saving me cash and time in the future as well. She handled all of the odd problems with my particular order completely, with big points for style and compassion. It was a joy doing business with her. I was relieved that my dog would get his heart medication, and that I was getting it for less than half what I was paying through my veterinarian. I simply did not expect this kind of help from an online operation. Thank you Ashley.

As long as this company is represented by outstanding customer service persons - like the extraordinary Ashley - it will have my business and enthusiastic recommendation. GIVE ASHLEY A RAISE. I wholly and happily endorse PetCareRx.

Seresto Collars
Ordered 4 Seresto collars, I have always used seresto and have not had fleas in over 7 years! When I received my order first, it was shipped from Canada I believe, secondly the pkg was not the same photo as in my vets office, thirdly the collar had little spikes sticking out of it, lastly it did not come with the clips Seresto normally comes with! I should have trusted my intuition knowing in the back of my mind these were fakes! Now I have been dealing with fleas for 2 weeks! Then I was charged 270.00 for annual membership which PetCareRx never even sent a notification of any kind they were charging this! They did however refund the membership but what company after months just takes 270.00 with out some kind of notification stating the amt would be deducted on such and such date! Stay clear of this company! They advertise they are USA based which they are but their products are not!

Excellent customer service at PetCareRX
Outstanding experience with PetCareRx. I contacted Petco last week to fill the same script as PetCareRx. I was told the medication for my dog would arrive within 2-5 days. Called them after waiting a full week & was informed PetCareRx will not have the medication for 3+ weeks. No one sent an email or called me to inform me of this problem. PetCareRx was totally different. I received a call from Andrew not even 24 hours after ordering the product. He walked me thru the process and I can't begin to tell you how happy I am with him and his quality of Customer Service. He is a pro. Things happen for a reason! Scale of 1-10 I would rate PetCareRx a solid 10 so far; have not received the medication for my dog yet but, very satisfied with his attention to detail.

BEWARE... Bad Business Practices Ahead
I recently purchased some flea prevention medicine for my dogs through PetCareRx. The site was easy to navigate and I had no issues finding what I needed. I added the items to my cart and saw an option (on the right hand side of the cart screen there is a box you can check if you want PetPlus) for "PetPlus" I read over the program benefits and costs ($65.00) and decided it was not something I needed. I continued to checkout and paid for my items and thought all was well.

The next day I am looking over my credit card charges and PetCareRx has charged me for PetPlus! I used their contact us page and sent a message explaining that I specifically did not click the box to become a PetPlus member and requested a refund. I immediately received an email stating that PetCareRx would get back to me within 24 hours. Two and a half days later I still have not heard back so I decide to call. The customer service rep was ridiculous. She said that I had to have selected pet plus to get charged. I went back and forth with her over this because I couldn't believe how she was acting when she released this gem of information. She said, "You probably signed up for it accidentally, because that happens all the time." WHY WOULD A COMPANY BUILD A WEBSITE WHERE YOU CAN ACCIDENTALLY SIGN UP FOR SOMETHING AT ALL, LET ALONE SOMETHING THAT CHARGES YOU $65?! Even after pointing that out, the conversation was going nowhere fast. She did cancel the membership and said my refund would be processed in 3-5 business days.

I can't in good conscious recommend this company. Charging my card without my authorization, not responding to customers in the appropriate time frame and rude customer service is not what I need or want when making a purchase. Also, I went back on their website and made a mock order. I got all the way to "Submit Order" and could not find any way I could have "accidentally" signed up for PetPlus.

Peggy is Awesome!
Customer Service Rep named Peggy told me about the benefits of signing up for PetPlus with PetcareRX. At first I hesitated, but after hearing the reduced cost of the 2 items I was about to order, and free shipping, I signed up! I have already gotten back my membership fee! I have used PetcareRX for many many years and have never had any issues with my orders or delivery. If my prescription renewal has run out, PetCareRx contact the vet for me too! I see some negative reviews regarding the heart medication that is often out of stock. I have needed this product too for several dogs over many years. This is not a ploy with Petcare RX, this is a true issue with the medication manufacturer everywhere in the US. There is one supplier and MANY dogs are using it. We need alternate sources ASAP to alleviate the ongoing and constant shortages, but that is not PetcareRx's fault. Peggy also helped me clean up some outdated information in my profile while we were on the phone. Thank you Peggy!

False Advertising
Enticed by an ad for 25% off and needing to buy dog food I went to PetCareRx.com. I found the food I wanted and saw just under the food name, "FREE SHIPPING!". I put the bag in the cart but when I got to Checkout I found a shipping charge of $20.11. I checked the site and found reference to needing $48 in spending after discounts to get free shipping so to be sure I added a few treats to get above $48 but the shipping charge remained. I called their "Office" number and after much I time and 2 calls with a nice rep I was told PetCareRx don't have free shipping on dog food. She could have given me free shipping to keep a customer, especially since she herself thought I should have gotten free shipping and had to ask someone else about it. But no. Clearly a deceptive site so I won't be shopping there again. BEWARE!

False Advertising
I have ordered meds that needed approval from my Vet. The Vet approved it, PetCareRx took my money, but I just kept getting emails that they were out of stock. It took 2 weeks for a sick cat to get its medication. I have ordered many other things from this site, and there came the email - out of stock. So it either took several weeks to get the order, or they just up and cancelled pieces of it. On top of that, I ordered some things because they were specialty items to be shipped with something else if you bought it. I only received part of it, and when I called them, they gave me the number of their affiliate who told me they didn't offer that and to call PetCareRX back. This went back and forth until I had to ask for a manager, but they never let me talk to a manager. I looked at how to contact them on a higher level and came across the Affiliates section and how to become one. I guess they have a pyramid scheme set up and if said affiliate doesn't do what they're supposed to do, you can't do anything about it. If you go to a website and order something, you should not only get what you order, but never have to go through a process where you have to keep calling them back to get your order and even then you never get said order. This site should be shut down immediately!

Prescription for Selegiline and Discount Offered
I have placed my first order for the tablet version of Selegiline for our almost 14 year old Mini Schnoodle with dementia. He was prescribed the capsule version from our vet which took 2 weeks to receive and he will not take this in his food! He shakes his head and spits out the food. I needed something smaller and PetCareRx was the only place I could find and at such a great discount! With dog dementia, time is precious with no time to waste! Andrew was wonderful, called me right back to follow up, offering discounts to help with a membership, etc. and it was wonderful to have that person-to-person contact! He was a pleasure to speak with and emailed with follow-up of our conversation! Great customer service! Great prices! I am even passing along your company to my veterinarian as their source takes too long!
