I have been using Pixel Film Studios plug-ins for Final Cut Pro X for the past 8 years and PixelFilmStudios have been getting better and better each year. They are not only affordable but the quality is excellent and only makes my videos look even better.

There are lots of really cool technical plug-ins that add an extra dimension to your footage and help with colour grading, lighting effects, motion graphics and titling. They are my go-to provider for FCPX plug-ins and I have them on 'speed dial' on all of my Mac computers.

During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, they have been extremely responsive and helpful with any technical issues. The support staff have been amazing!

Also, now that they have introduced the new PFS App 2.0 it makes it so easy to keep track of all your plug-ins and installed/purchased software.

I can't recommend them enough!

I had an issue with the generator that I purchased from Pixel Flim Studios. First it was easy to connect to a live agent and open a discussion. Once in the discussion the live agent asked a few questions to see if I tried the items in the knowledge base thatw ere related to the issue I was having (Red Screens). Once we dug in deeper we realized that I need to download the plugin again from the Installer and let the installer do the install for me. Upon Completion of this my application worked like a charm and PixelFilmStudios even stayed on the line while I tested it. I will be buying more from them for sure

There's little to say about Pixel Film Studios's products that most people don't already know. But, if I was describing them to a friend who was a newbie, though, I would simply say that PixelFilmStudios deliver unmistakably professional results, using veery user-friendly controls with a surprisingly short learning curve. :) I knew that before I bought my first plugin from them. What I didn't know (but hoped for) is that their aftersale support would match the quality of their products. I would, of course, have preferred the support to be over the phone (with simultaneous screen-sharing) to speed things up, but I realize that when selling globally, that would mean that they would need a 24/7 call center just for that :P BUT, their live-chat support agents are EXTREMELY knowledgable, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, committed to help you! And that means EVERYTHING to me. So I will keep buying from there.:)
An example of their amazing support, I bought the ProAnonymous 2.0 plugin, and was having difficulty understanding how I would blur/pixelate MULTIPLE faces dancing at a party (as this was the first time I used a product like this). They spent over 3 hours screensharing with me (after I couldn't understand what they were instructing me over chat; being a newbie myself) until they "spoon-fed" me even the basics of masking! :P :P So far, ANYTHING I have needed help with, they've been there. So KUDOS to them! :)

I purchased the ProGun plugin. Among the good variety of included presets, the mini fire blasts and bright flashes made gunfire in my Final Cut Pro X look awesome. PixelFilmStudios were very effectively integrated (appearing right in the titles area of FCPX), were easy to use and had many adjustments to make each effect unique. Before finding this success, I experienced the issue of a solid red error screen when attempting to composite items onto my timeline. Pixel Film Studios' website had a section which was easy to navigate for possible solutions. All types of problems were neatly categorized, accompanied by a guide video and/or clearly written instructions. After troubleshooting through those means to no avail, I followed through to after hours support and was put through a ticket system. The response was fast and included info that allowed me to ensure my problem was resolved. I would buy more plugins from Pixel Film Studios and feel secure under their wing of support and tutorials. One thing I would hope is that the plugins are improved to fit more smoothly (without technical problems) into the newer versions of FCPX.

First, Pixel Film Studios is an AWESOME company! PixelFilmStudios sell every tool I could need for professional FCPX projects. The price tag is a fraction of what other companies charge, plus they have weekly sales.
The customer support is awesome - they are available on chat whenever they are open for business, and I always get prompt and thorough support. They even set up a screen share session for me once when something just wasn't getting fixed, and they walked me through fixing it from start to finish. GREAT SUPPORT! This morning my new installation was having a problem with email validation, and they fixed it once again! I give them a A++ for the value of products and awesome support!

I'm an avid fan of Pixel Film Studios! Having purchased many (many many) plugins, PixelFilmStudios have assisted me greatly in creating in-house corporate videos for: trade-shows, marketing, visitor welcome, employee shop floor videos and more! I've had excellent response both from this Facebook Send Message function, and via email - and any suggestions I've sent in have been received with a full welcome. The latest plugin bundles have ramped up even higher levels of value at a great price - and the addition of content over time increases the value EVEN MORE of the bundles! What's not to like about that?

Will definitely be buying more Pixel Film Studio plugins again!

First off PixelFilmStudios have a great, professional product, I've purchased many products from Pixel Studio's to make great Digital Video Productions. I was having a problem with ProTiltShift, the mask wasn't working. To fix it they GAVE me a complimentary plugin, FCPX Camera. I was still having problems and couldn't get the mask to work. A Pixel Studio's professional shared my Mac and fixed the problem quickly. This was a JOB so I appreciate the time and effort from Pixel Studios. Simply the best!

After downloading the Travel Postcard plugin for Final Cut Pro for a family vacation video and following the plugin installation, I had difficulty in getting the plugin to actually work (red box). I followed the excellent help videos without success. Live web chat were excellent in assisting in walking through the install with 100% success. Fantastic - thank you so much - really appreciate your help.
The whole support process is just about the best support I have ever experienced - thank you Pixel Film Studio, It is so good to experience high quality customer service (so rare these days!).

I found out about you buy watching Daniel Schiffer on YouTube. Next thing I know I started buying your plugins and I absolutely love them. (I'm not saying that so I can be one of your giveaway winners lol) But it's true. Also thank you for YouTube tutorials. These little tips help a lot.
To you all editors out there, you are using FCPX and you need plugins? The Answer is Pixel Film Studios. If you don't know about them, NOW YOU DO.
Stop wasting your time bringing headaches to your projects. You need Pixel Film Studios in your life.
I'm gonna say it one more time: If you don't use Pixel Film Studios plugins, you life SUCK!

I have several dozen plugins from Pixel Film Studios. Makes editing a breeze. Customer support is always there to answer any questions. I love the way that PixelFilmStudios keep creating new plugins that achieve the same quality of special effects and editing techniques that you see on the big screen (Hollywood movie industry). I fell in love with editing because of pixel film studio. I would recommend pixel film studio products to beginners and pros. My favorite is their 3D Projection plugin.

I've purchased a lot, I mean a LOT, of their products and PixelFilmStudios recently changed their install process to require at least 1 reboot. I'm now 9 reboots in and still a plug-in for a video editor is not installed. They used to make amazing plug-ins but now I have to say STAY AWAY and RUN if you are considering them. I feel cheated and ripped off with a lack of support. Their website also does not reflect their latest install tool - it shows a fast and easy install instead of the failure prone on which requires multiple reboots with no success. I wish things where different - I have purchased several hundred plug-ins over the years from multiple companies and theirs are by far the hardest to get installed and put all sorts of things on your computer they shouldn't.

I have been trying to use their generators for a couple of years and PixelFilmStudios SUCK. They either don't work, their fonts do not form the subjects they are supposed to (Christmas ornaments for example are a letter B) and their plugins bog down your computer to the point where they are not practical to use. Some times when I get to their support, they fix the issue, other times they say too bad, here's your money back. They are not AT ALL INTERESTED in fixing the plugins, only selling them to you defective and hoping you just blow off the issue for a $29 generator. I stopped purchasing from them for two years then last week (July 2018) thought I'd give it another try being that I blasted them in an email and on the phone about their quality control. I purchased a couple. Pro Drop Holiday was one. Of the 30 generators, 9 do not work and all of them take 45 minutes to 6 hours to process in Final Cut Pro X. By the way, this is a 15 second clip that takes that long. They simply refuse to put out a good product and instead churn out high volume, low quality products and tout them as professional. The other one I purchased was their MAPS generator. Unfortunately they don't tell you that you have to credit the map company who provides the maps if you are using the clips commercially. They wait until you purchase it then tell you that you have to put their logo on your commercial clip if you sell these for a living. I do. So, since I like to play by the rules, MAPS is, like Pro Drop Holiday, useless. Folks, what I explained above is my factual experience with Pixel Film Studios. They would rather refund you your money than fix the products and keep selling defective goods. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB after this post.

I have tons of tools for FCPX but Pixelfilmstudios is the company for me. PixelFilmStudios have best products for FCPX plug-ins on the market and can make any amateur look like a pro, if you have any problem or issues the only online chat is where you'll find the best help. I didn't understand how use a plug-in I purchase so I open up a case in the chat and in less than seconds I was getting a response, I know most people don't want to spend time or have the patience for chat but it's the easiest way to show this company you appreciate their help. Pixelfilmstudios you rock! Your company has made my films look amazing thanks..

Wow, I remember I used to spend countless hours thinking of great and new ideas i. E. freezing a frame from a video clip, importing it into photoshop, cutting out whatever object I wanted to showcase, then taking that file back over to FCP as a psd photo, overlaying it at that exact frame in the film, back then there was no freeze frame, so I had to slow the video down to about 3%, blurr the background nd or layer some other effect that looked cool, and boom I had the movie effect when you introduce a new character and the background falls away their picture freezes and I can run text in front and behind the picture file... all this hard work and PixelFilm had made workflows such as this one, hours of time spent just to get about 5 seconds of animation in, sooooo simple with a couple of drag, drops, and parameter tweaks. How helpful is this to someone like me... well it just priceless to be honest, there's nothing better for me then saving time, period. As for me getting a hold of the transition pack, I thought on it only for about 2 minutes, and knew it was worth every cent. The options are endless to be perfectly truthful. And everyone know the point at which you reach the end of using the installed FPCX transitions and titles, nothing wrong with those as a starting point, but we all must grow and in saying that I needed huge array of transitions and effects to give a more polished and refined look and feel to the footage, and PixelFilmStudios definitely is the site to get all this type of software, which is updated and the library grows continuously. And PixelFilmStudios walked me through setting these Plug-ins up in the right way, meaning just placing folders in the correct place for the install to popular them with the correct files. Everything one could need, all in one place!

I love PFS plugins, really, PixelFilmStudios save me so much time it is really helpful for many of my projects. Editing trends come and go and I really can't afford the time to learn or create every trendy effect my customers require so it is fantastic to be able to just download it from PFS. The plugins work well and whenever they don't (I use many and it's happened to me once in a while) then you can trouble shoot the issue with their guidelines or talk to the most efficient customer support I have encountered. This is really unique especially nowadays. In a matter of minutes someone sorts you out. They never left me without a solution. Love it!

I just purchased FCPX along with PixelFilmStudio Looks Suite yesterday. I downloaded the Looks Suite and tried dragging the Lut's (color grading tool) onto my timeline clip. Well, it gave me a red screen error on every tool in the package. I submitted a ticket to live support and PixelFilmStudios walked me through every step, with very patient support! They even refunded one of the five provided downloads available. As a young adult, they cooperated with me the best they could. I searched everywhere on youtube and reddit to find out that all of the processes on those platforms were way too long and incorrect. To the guy/girl who helped me, thank you partner!

I purchased Pixel Film Studios' AutoTracker 2.1. At first, I had issues where several tracking values and scaling didn't work, but the support chat was amazing. PixelFilmStudios broke down the issues, gave me several suggestions, and personally had the developer take a look into the issue immediately from my screen recording. The support agent was very helpful and friendly and although there are a few bugs, I am loving the plugin and already had recommended it to my friend!

It's not often that a company will go the extra mile for you. But Pixel Film Studios did just that. I came to them very frustrated in trying to get a plug installed. In my usual fumble footed way, I was getting in my own way! Enter Edgar! This fellow was like a pit bull with my issue. He would not let go until he fixed it for me. And fix it he did! On every occasion that I sent a message, there was a helpful reply on what to try next, in my inbox the very next day. I even received a response on a weekend. Did not expect that! In the end, Edgar patiently endured my endless barrage of questions with knowledgeable answers. He noticed details that would not be noticed without close examination. In the end it was clearly operator error (me!). I had created a folder that I misspelled the name on. So, just for your future edification: Always check the spelling if you have to create a Plug-In folder and don't name it Plugs-In folder. See how subtle? Edgar caught it and put me right back on track.

Need a recommendation? Pixel Film Studios without a doubt. I told him the same thing I'll tell you... PixelFilmStudios now have a lifetime customer because of the excellent way they handled this.

Okay so first of all, if you're working on a Mac and FCPX, these guys are the masters of FCPX plug-ins. They've a massive choice of slick, modern and professional products. But more importantly, is that PixelFilmStudios have a HUMAN support staff 9-5. Who are super patient and take the time to walk you through any issues that arise. Macs and FCPX will always update — and plug-ins need updating too, so they walk you through any plug-in updates or fixes needed. In my case, I had a problematic folder set-up on my computer (which is an issue on my side) and they patiently walked me through many scenarios to help identify the issue. Excellent and very helpful!

I bought a product that i thought was not compatible with my computer. I was so confused because i kept getting a red screen. I was wrong about the compatibility part though. Lol but it's fine because this team member of PFS def pulled through for me - and didn't quit until we got it done. I know absolutely nothing about anything i was instructed to do today, but it didn't matter, the rep put things simple enough that i was able to follow right along. Thank you all for the help.
