Policy Expert

What is the point of asking for a review of a home insurance policy? The policy hasn't even started yet and I wouldn't be able to give a meaningful review of your services until I need to make a claim. The only thing I can say is your website works and you successfully charged my credit card.

I did find an element of confusion between the silver and gold options. Looking at the two on your web site, after careful consideration and trying excess variations, I decided to go for the gold option. The reason for this was the higher sum insured on pedal cycles, and also the premiums were remarkably similar when using the same excess figure. However, when making the payment my details had reverted to the silver option, for no known reason. By this stage I felt that I had spent long enough studying the options that I just left it as it was.

Great priced insurance with good cover. Customer service staff are excellent, very knowledgeable. Liked the information given about your place in the queue when on the phone, although I never had to wait very long. Very good service.

Only gave 4 star’s, as you never know a good insurance company until you have to make a claim and see how they deal with it. I chose policy expert not just due to price but on the advice they supply via their emails & website. Even though I had moved my contents & building insurance to another company For a couple of years I still received these mails, which contain some good advice, I suppose a bit of subliminal message marketing. Either way I decided to return to the company.

It was easy to take out our Buildings & Contents insurance with Policy Expert. The customer service operative was professional & courteous when dealing with our request and our policy was taken out in a fast, efficient manner.
Policy Expert offered us everything we needed/wanted and we saved over £200 on what we were being quoted by our previous insurers.

The agent was very helpful, went through the policy details,explained everything very well. She was polite, knew her product and helped me with the payment details. All in all a pleasant experience - not something you usually associate with purchasing insurance.

Stay away, no idea what they are talking about. I had an accident where the 3rd party pulled in front of me and stopped on the motorway. The 3rd party admitted liability straight away. I phoned policy "expert" to explain the situation. The "lady" on the phone said I had hit someone in the rear therefore It's my fault, regardless of what the 3rd party said and I'll be losing my no claims even though it's protected. I got a solicitor involved, who eventually managed to get my claim settled in my favour "Winns sols, very good"

Cancelled my renewal after changing my address, also charged £1.64 for changing my address, i know its not a lot but they dont have an option to do so online so had to ring them. So, thousands of customers get charged/ripped off for changing the address, which if theft. As this function should be free and available online. Not talking canceling my renewal. waste of pis' of sh@t

Didn't charge me for leaving, so I came back when we moved house. great customer service no long waits on the phone. as a rule, I don't go back to a company if they charge me for ending the contract early. Don't try and hide your number either, pushing customers online is irritating, I like to speak to a person.

WEll I have not made a claim and hope I do not have to but the price was over £30 cheaper than my renewal so I'm on a winner before I start. Its a time when we all need to save every penny that we can so I have nothing to lose!

DON NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE FRAUDULENT!!!!! THEY JUST CANCELLED MY CAR INSURANCE FOR THE STUPIDEST OF REASONS!!!!! THEY ARE OUT FOR YOUR MONEY!!! I dealt with a woman CALLED DENISE WAIRD who was disgustingly RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL MAKING THINGS UP AND TRYING TO TRICK ME INTO SAYING WHAT SHE WANTED TO HEAR!!!!

Building/Contents insurance quote £60 cheaper than current insurer's quote. Form filling on website much more comprehensive and easy to complete than I have experienced with other companies. Telephone staff polite, knowledgeable and friendly. A pleasure to deal with this company.

I Don't look for the cheapest car insurance. I look for the best value for money. Policy Expert is by far the best value for money. It is so good 4 family members have insured their cars with Policy Expert. We have all taken out home insurance with them as well.

The policy seems to be just what I need. No frills but covers all the important aspects that I would expect to be covered under a house insurance policy. The price is excellent and I would definitely purchase this policy again.

Recently moved home but couldn’t sort out my buildings and contents insurance until exchange took place. This was delayed and ended up exchanging and completing and moving the same day. I hate doing home insurance since being widowed. Looked online and price for level of cover was good. I was pleased to talk with a very helpful agent on the phone before I made my online confirmation of purchase. It eased my stress. Thank you.

Not being very good with technology I had to go through the questions a few times ( it seems I kept missing answering questions) but I got there in the end. I prefer to apply on line even though I am not that good at it, I don't feel pressured into taking out the policy.

Policy Expert have been pretty great for our house insurance for a little over a year now. Getting someone on the phone is fairly easy and their rates have the best two years in a row. We've not made a claim so I can't comment on that, but we did use their home emergency cover when our boiler packed in on Christmas Eve and they had an engineer on site that night. Unfortunately we were still left without heat for a week and it took a couple of months to claim back what we were covered for - hence 4 stars instead of 5.
