My favorite feature in electronic textbooks is that you can listen to the book and read along with it. In other platforms that use this feature, it automatically goes to the next page. I don't like that I have to click to the next page and press play again on every single page.

It isn't a huge deal... It's just annoying when it could automatically go to the next page and continue reading.

Refund
I emailed redshelf about getting a refund because i purchased the wrong book and my order was non refundable but i emailed them someone answered right away and issued me a refund honestly i will be getting all my books from here now because it is hassle free

The page number for the online book doesn't match up...
The page number for the online book doesn't match up with the page numbers in the printed textbook so it affects it when I have to read out loud or cite for my work and the page display doesn't have a selection to have a printed textbook layout style only had a continuous scroll

Service is ok, but absolutely unacceptable on a few...

1. Why do I have to come to the web page to rent books, the fact that I can't do it from the app I almost makes it obsolete.

2. The search function while reading some books. For example, the latest APA book. Search does not work in the app.

3. The fact that I rent a book (not all are like this) from you, but then am not allowed to download it for offline viewing. Makes it impossible to do anything away from WiFi. Again ridiculous.

Terrible
Unnecessarily giant sized PDFs (300 mb+) with watermarks so intrusive you are unable to highlight them; RedShelf are almost unusable.

Their core product really does not support an acceptable learning experience.

Nice customer service people though. Seem sympathetic in telling you the company's policies.

Deceptive advertising
I rented an e-book that RedShelf stated on their website "This package includes MyLab Management". Guess what? It didn't. When I contacted their customer service person said that their website also states that extra materials may not be included. Listen, if the material are not included, don't state that it is. It's false advertising! I've learned my lesson and will never order from RedShelf again!

I bought 2 books, but they only gave me access to 1...
I bought 2 books, but RedShelf only gave me access to 1 of them. I used my parents' debit card info, so I don't know if the other one was refunded, but it was disappointing to see when I could not find the book; plus, it was +$100.

I should have received a email of receipt because I need to show the Office of Special Services that I did indeed pay for book rental so RedShelf can help me with my vision impairment and learning disabilities!

Check out ok but I'm a bit hesitant buying from RedShelf since I had issues with voice read out loud before. I hope this Real Estate Law ebook would not have the same problem as the book for Real Estate Fianance

There is no reason to charge me 30 dollars for an online...
There is no reason to charge me 30 dollars for an online book. You don't have to spend the money to print or ship it. Literally the only thing you have to do is pay for the servers that you store information and the money to keep the site up. It is ridiculous to scam people like this, especially for a book I already have. The only reason I have to get it again is because you sold me a half completed version last semester. Disgraceful.

I needed this book for one of my college classes (with the assignment due tomorrow oops) and I could not find the ebook version anywhere and did not have time to wait for shipping so I am super thankful RedShelf had it! Yay!

I repeatedly got the same error message saying that my ZIP code was incorrect for the billing address, despite no error on my end. I eventually had to use a different payment method. Not only was this infuriating, but it is an incredible inconvenience. I will never be using this site for anything ever again.

Trying to checkout was not a good experience, I'd add the book to my cart yet my cart would be empty over and over. You kept telling me I entered my zipcode wrong when I didn't, all the info was correct. And it looks like you charged my card twice, hopefully it doesnt go through so I dont make any calls

Useless support and website
I bought a book from here a few weeks ago for class. It worked fine for about a week and then completely blocked all my access to my book. I contacted support multiple times but RedShelf just kept changing the status to solved without actually helping me at all DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.

Perfect
This place is awesome. I rented my text book and I was drop from the waitlist and didn't get into the class and even thought it was past my time RedShelf still honored a refund! Highly recommend! Navigation super easy as well!

Please improve the platform.
I would spend precious time carefully reading and highlighting my material... then all of a sudden, if I accidentally left-click the text somewhere... BAM! Just highlights the whole entire page without warning, and I would have start over CAREFULLY re-highlighting alll of my points, wasting my time over the already tremendous amount of time I spend reading for my densely-loaded class.
Also, the highlight tool sometimes doesn't work correctly, as seen with the attached picture.
Just wanted to take some time and express my utter frustration with how constantly this is happening. Thanks for wasting my valuable time. Can't believe I paid over $100 for this.

Geographical Payment Problem but saved by MARSHALL
I was trying to purchase my ebook with a U. S Credit card but being physically in Canada. Reached out that evening to submit a request. Mentioned it was time sensitive. I got an e-mall back from "Marshall". IMMEDIATELY. He removed the conditions and I purchased my book within minutes. This is hands down quickest and one of the best customer service experience I had. Plus, we joked back n forth and seem like a stand up gentlemen. Give him a RAISE and Promotion STAT.

Affordable & Easy
Not sure what these negative reviews are about. I read all my books on RedShelf and I love it. The books are less expensive and have built-in tools like flashcards and definitions. RedShelf also just came out with an app so you can download your books to read offline.

I tried entering my postal code and your website did not accept it. I had to use an alternate address that I am fortunate enough to have access to (not that it should matter because you won't send me a bill/receipt in the mail for an online textbook.
S0K3L0 is the postal code for my home address in Radisson, SK, Canada (which is a valid postal code, I order stuff online all the time and it arrives without issue)

Fantastic company with fantastic support
As a high school teacher it is very difficult to keep teaching in the virtual setting setting and red shelf and SDC publications has made my life much is my life much simpler... When some of my students forgot their passwords Victoria in customer service was ais was absolutely wonderful to work with with repeatedly.
