Hello reader my name is Scizor666 I am a robloxian who joined in 2013 on another account I think roblox is a decent game and could use some working on I think you should be 7+ to play roblox I was 7 when I joined now I have been on the site for 6 years I really think it has changed I decided to start of with the negative side first of all

Negatives:

Hackers: hackers are a big problem in the community with so many people getting hacked or exploiters ruining peoples fun in the game and I have reported many people over the years and from since 2016 none of them got banned

Scammers came around in 2015 Roblox would spam you (they still do) and they give links to websites and then you have scammers in trade hangout and stuff where they ask want free robux and other things to try and get into your account or trade them your limiteds

Trolls: trolls are annoying (obviously) but we can't really do anything about that back in 2014-2015 I used to troll but I got banned a lot so I decided to stop

Spammers: they just say the same thing over and over again for example: RobloxTutorialsYT7438463: roblox is fun
Spammerforlyfe12349: SWAG SWAG SWAG SWAG SWAG SWAG SWAG SWAG SWAG...
They just make it almost impossible to communicate with other users in the chat because you can't read the messages because spammers send like 94774893 messages a second (sarcasm)

Updates: so I think the updates (in my opinion) started going down around 2014 sort of time 2016 sucked because TIX (tickets) was removed but the tixapalooza was fun (scizor666 joined early 2017 but that wasn't my first account it just my main) and it was the best way to get rid of my 6786 tix (yes i kept track of how many TIX i had) but TIX probably aren't coming back people who never experienced TIX seemed to be the main protesters even though the never had TIX in the first place so R. I. P TIX: 2007-2016

Online daters: they are usually in the roleplay/family games so just stay away from them and you should be ok (meepcity isn't the only good game on roblox! You can play other stuff too) sometimes you find them in dead games from 2008 with like 10 players on it and they hide out and do some strange things my friend UniversalMadZ recorded two online daters going at it and uploaded to YouTube but just don't get involved with the online daters they have been around for years (ever since I joined ROBLOX I think) so no one can stop them not even the moderation team working as hard as possible so just leave them to do the stuff

Positivity

Avatar: you can customize and create your own unique avatars to stand out from the now over a billion players and just look super cool

Groups: you can a bunch of groups (like fan groups of your favorite YouTubers or clothing groups or something cool)

Games: pretty much every single game on roblox is created by other users just like you
There are millions of them you can play and meet a ton of cool people in them

Trading: You can get a bunch of small items trade them off for some mediums and then eventually get your dream items (just be careful though because you might get scammed)

Starting at first I'll tell you the pros.

Roblox does have educational value, I know this because I play ROBLOX.

I am still quite young, but I am definitely older than most of the people in my community. Most people are pretty nice, and this is a good way of learning languages, traditions and more. This is a decent place.

Roblox also has decent graphics for really low latency. Which is good for laggy computers.

Roblox has moderators and Roblox try their best of fixing bugs errors and edgy schemes. But the thing is the moderator is too slow. This is where the conflict comes in.

Roblox has really edgy places that kids should not visit, sometimes games have very violent events, sometimes certain servers are very toxic.

Once, I was on Hero Havoc and two players kept insulting me. This happened at December~November of 2019.

A lot of scams are in roblox, every single freaking day I see scammers join the server and forces kids to give private information for free robux. Robux isn't needed for gameplay. (At least most of the time, definitely not Bee Swarm Simulator.)

Roblox recently also made terrible updates, I am disappointed to the fact that roblox is going to destroy the roblox icon OOF sound. (Ugh.mp3)

Roblox changes bc into premium and it's a little more sketchy. Premium can auto-repeat, I do have a little bit of money, like $600. But Premium is still going to hurt my wallet.

Some people also can steal personal information. It's very easy, you can ask a kid what's you name, and he will answer right away. Roblox should make children online privacy protection acts, just like youtube so that the little kids would be limited to a point of approval friending from parents and chat approval. Stuff like that.

I love the engine roblox, it is a great place to socialize and it's not too toxic. But it has a lot of edges that I want the moderator to get rid of right away.

Recently I heard that the moderating team is very little. This I was very surprised because roblox is nearly tied to minecraft. (Roblox 90 million players online, Minecraft 91 mil.) I feel like at least 5 million moderators would do the trick. I know this might hurt the roblox wallet, but eventually it's going to be worth it.

This is my overall review of roblox. There are really good pros and really bad cons. I hope roblox can clean the dirty and revive into something spectacular.

(Roblox couldn't arrive to Japan, probably because it has a really bad review from parents at America, and trust me the Japanese parents are super duper duper strict. Except for mine, because they're the best.)

Roblox in my opinion is a fun game, there are many cool games to play and their not just simple mini games Roblox are treated like real games, but I think the best thing about Roblox is the Roblox Studio it is more of a building game creating application than a building game, with many tools you can create buetifeal works of art and with the programming in the game called "scripting" you can make pretty much anything, scripting is complicated at first but it is way easier to use than actually coding a real life game on a computer and it is a great way to learn how to code. With scripting you can make cars, boats, planes, weapons, any type of tool, a program to a game, machines, etc. In Roblox there are tons of fun games that other users have made. There is a catalog to where you can buy stuff for you character like gear, hats, and faces, also including user made clothing like shirts, T-shirts and, pants. There is a forum, groups, charecter customization, inventory, blogs, trade system (membership required), friends page, and other stuff that is really cool. I play Roblox a lot and I have the highest level of a paid membership the game is completely free to make an account on and to access most games and features but while I am practically rich in the game and have access to all the features of players, I think it is a bit unfair about non membership players, non-membership players only get 10 of the less valuable of the two currencies a day while user who bought the builders club paid membership get way more money, Roblox is a bag game and they Ned money to keep their servers going th-t's understand able, Roblox is giving you a gift for donating to them or paying them money by buying the paid membership and I understand how players who do buy "builders club" get extra features as a gift but I think that some features that they get should be for every one, and in the catalog most hats, gears, and faces, cost lots of money or "robux" that barely any non-builders club players can buy, however you can just buy money for the game and the normal paid membership is very cheap, again the game is completely free and you can access most features without buying builders club. In Roblox I have met very many nice people and have made many friends, while a majority of the players on Roblox are nice a lot others are rude, immature, ignorant, and just overall mean, from what I have seen after playing for eight months, most of the Roblox staff are good but some have abused there power before and on games normal players who are non Roblox staff are sometimes assigned by the creator of the game to moderate their game called "admins" or "moderators" also sometimes random players will be given special privileges of moderators randomly by the host of the game so they can abuse power too, although it is against the rules and terms of conditions of Roblox to swear, online date, harass, or bully other players, it still happens frequently and the Roblox Team can't always stop it, so it is not completely safe for younger kids and if you are a parent reading this you should consider not letting your child play this game if they're under eight or nine years old from what I have experienced before after having an account for eight months and no I'm not an adult I'm an eleven year old boy. Before thinking about if you can trust this game, make sure you can trust yourself first. I recommend parents to read this review instead of children, if kids even come here at all. Here's a list of simple negative facts about Roblox before you read the rest.

-There's a crappy amount of obnoxiously hard captchas
-Yes, the creators have to make money, Karen. You have to BUY robux
-There are games that can be 12+ like Realm of the Nine Portals
-People are out there to hack others
-Exploiting is a major issue, and it's possible you can get banned accidentally due to skepticism by the moderators
-18+ games exist, and moderators try to ban those
-Bullying and filter bypassing
-Hypersensitive chat filter
-Scamming and scam-scripted games
-Very upsetting games that are extremely difficult
-Copyrighted music playing can demonitize any video you're trying to record
-Random gamepass popups can make you accidentally waste your money
-It's like 9:30 I should get to bed lol

This game is highly recommended from me to kids 10+ as long as Roblox can handle bullying, filter bypassing, and... know how to avoid not very appropriate games, we'll get back on that later (none of this is allowed and moderators are quick to ban and observe these games)! This website is very trusting, and no glitches/scams should be blamed on Roblox, as these situations are inevitable and Roblox does not make the games.

Introduction time. Welcome to Roblox. Millions of people play this game, and it's all about entertainment and nothing else. First, we will talk about security. Account security: Go to settings and make a complex password over 10 characters minimum. Write it down on a piece of paper or type it into a google document. If your password is lost, it's your own fault and that should be clear to everyone. Go to the security tab on the left and enable 2 step verification. This will send a code to your email (add it to your account) whenever you log into your account. You have to insert the code into the text box to login. Keep in mind that it will update every day, so you will not use the same code every time. Next, activate the PIN code and insert a 4 digit number that is not apparent and easy to guess. If you ever get hacked even after all this security in your account, go back to the settings logo. Instead of clicking settings, click Help. First option and BOOM, Roblox moderators on their way. I don't actually know how it works cuz I've never been hacked before, but figure it out. Now you might be wondering, why do I need all this security? Well unfortunately, Roblox is not too secure. They try adding captchas that are obnoxious and only keep out real players. They try to add the most amount of security you can have in an account. But unfortunately, no site can completely keep every player safe. Another thing to talk about is games that claim that they offer "free robux." Also robux is an in-game currency that you have to buy. There are NO games that are "APPROVED BY ROBLOX" that will give you currency you have to pay for entirely free! If I told you how many people get taken by scams despite the overwhelming amount of security per scam game on average, you likely wouldn't believe me. It's obsurd. Just please, stay away from games that offer free anything. They don't. Security out of the way, because I think that's all I have to tell you.

Next, the bullying and filter bypassing. The amount of toxic people and bystanders are off the charts. Okay, that was an exaggeration. Typically, only a couple people are disrespectful to others per server, and you can just block them by clicking on their username on the right of your screen and clicking block player. Reporting doesn't get answered anymore unfortunately, so don't do that. There is a limit to blocking people (50), and when you reach that you have to go to settings, privacy, and then unblock all the players you've blocked. Make sure your PIN is unlocked first if you added that though. If they're affecting you in a way such as targeting you in a PvP game, you can just rejoin the game. If the game is small and you can't join another server, just block them and then rejoin. You cannot join blocked players. Filter bypassing now. This happens more than bullying because people get frustrated at difficult games or their teammates screw something up. It's pretty much the same thing, just ask them to stop and if they refuse just block them. Moving on.

Remember: Games with blood are only allowed if you can disable it, it gives a very fair warning, or it's very unrealistic like red circles on the ground.

This part of the review is strongly recommended for your parent to read. If you're just some adult looking for entertainment however, you can stay and I can inform you.

There are 18+ games on Roblox made by immature morons trying to ruin the website by making "condo" games, which just lets you do actions that are not permitted on Roblox. Never go to these, as these are all about s#x and dating. Ignore the games and unfriend anyone who plays them. I don't feel like talking anymore, so I'll just end it off here.

Roblox is very good, to say the least. It's not just a game, it's a gaming platform. People can put in their time and effort making a game, and earn real-life cash for it. Did you know that the creator of Jailbreak made the game to pay for college fees, and now he's a multimillionaire?
I'm not going to lie, though. Roblox was a lot better in 2013. Baconhairs didn't even exist, and due to a free currency, tickets, there was a huge shortage of noobs. Erik Cassel, the co-founder of Roblox, was alive back then. He died from cancer. Erik Cassel will always hold a special place in a real Robloxian's heart.
First issue: My child got scammed.
Keep in note that Roblox would never ask for account information. Roblox already have it. Roblox confirms the fact that free robux generators never work. It would be extremely rare for Roblox to give away free robux. Robux is not required, and you can still have a great experience without it. However, if you truly want it, either develop a really good game, or purchase robux, just like everyone else.
Second issue: Roblox is just a money grabber.
Roblox is not a money grabber. The staff requires that money to live. It pays their rent, food, and other necessities. Just like in the issue above. If you really don't want to pay for robux, then it's not required. Roblox will not just give away stuff for free. It is their job, and I'm quite sure that no one else would do a job for free, either.
Third issue: There are online daters on Roblox.
Roblox does not allow online dating/sex games, people just break the rules. This is a really unfair argument to hold against Roblox. Something similar would be to say that the state of Colorado is horrible because someone shot up a high school in Columbine once. Colorado does not advocate school shootings, so no one can hold that against them. Roblox does not advocate dating/sex in Roblox, therefore no one can hold it against them, either.
Fourth issue: Roblox is a ripoff of Minecraft.
This argument hurts my brain so much. Roblox has basically been the same with a few updates. It was released in 2006, or if you count the days it was a private game, 2004. Minecraft was released in 2010. Next time, please. Do not make blind accusations.

Buyer beware! Read the terms Roblox claim the right to change, altar, discontinue or pretty much do whatever they want with your account. My son made an accidental purchase that had a passcode. We are currently not working due to covid 19 and as most of you know kids are home from school and we are basically quarantined. My son loved these games and had tons of friends and progress over the past few years. We have previously spent money and never had a previous issue besides regular glitches and bugs. Hoping they would understand in the current crisis we have going on I asked for a refund. My son's account was then deleted without us being told and all previous money and progress lost. All of the sudden he can't sign in anymore. I have emailed multiple times explaining the situation and the unusual circumstances we are all in right now. All we want is my tons original account back. Nothing else. We have not previously ever had a refund or problem we've needed to contact about. Well, they have denied us access mutiple times saying he went against their terms of use. He's 8 he made a mistake and even in these times they have no understanding and they do not care. They have denied my appeal and my multiple requests at speaking to someone else or to just reinstate my son's original account. He lost all his friends his years of progress and all the previous money spent all because he purchased by mistake and I asked for a one time refund because we just didn't have the extra being out of work. Their actually call office is closed because of the virus, so they are well aware of what we are all battling. Very dissapointed in the lack of understanding for a CHILDS GAME that brings a little happiness in these trying times. So sad it is one of the only companies I know of personally not willing to work with the customer during all this and especially for a child's mistake on a child's game. Pathetic. BUYER BEWARE

Roblox is a game where you make games with building and coding. There is a currency called Robux which can be bought with real money to buy gear, accessories and clothes for your avatar and passes for games. The types of games are commonly simulators, roleplay games, fighting games, and originally tycoons, and a newer trend, story games. Roblox also has lots of groups made by players where you can send messages on the group wall if its enabled, buy clothes for the group and play the groups games. Roblox has admins which are people who work for Roblox and have higher abilities than normal players. Lots of people complain about the moderation when Roblox should realise that the moderation team at Roblox is very small so they can't ban everybody. Because of this, without people knowing how small the moderation team is, it makes them think they are bots, which again, is false. Many people OD (Online Date) which is against the Roblox rules. They will dress like this:
Ice guard or Skeleton package limbs
Salad hair (Holiday Crown)
Homeless man hat (Paper Hat)
A bear mask or another face mask
Antlers
Commonly Supreme or Adidas Clothes
They will use a roleplay name feature to name themselves something like this:
James/need gf/rich
Yeah. It is really stupid. I hate Online Daters and I wish all of them were gone. Sometimes they do depressed roleplay and ODing. Sometimes these are actaully depressed people and they may get boyfriends or girlfriends from this, and sometimes it makes them look like attention seekers, which is why it is bad. Even worse, there are Scam bots that will get you to go to malicious sites where you do surveys and give account info to get free robux, which is false as there is no offical way to get Robux from sites. Doing this will have your Roblox account stolen and changed to one of the bots. Sometimes games are botted to the front page with titles like FREE ROBUX or FREE GAMEPASSES, they may tell you to like and favourite the game for it to work, which does nothing. The game may give you an obstacle course to complete or just a link on the screen to go to. The obstacle course games at the end will ask for your account password to get it stolen. Never fall for these. They are scams and they will have your account stolen. There are many reviews like this here at ReviewFeeder or Common Sense Media that will go into detail and point out the positives while others were not so good. An example of this would be:

Horrible game for kids, not recommended
This game called Roblox has so many bad games where you can have s** with people and r*** people. It has games that involve fighting and shooting, this has caused my child to become very aggressive and bad behaved. His grades have dropped and he always gets an F on his tests and work. When I began to notice this I joined Roblox to investigate for myself. I was horrified to see all the nonsense of all the vulgar language and the s**ual content on the site. It is wrong and Roblox do not do anything about it. I think this game is terrible and I would never recommend it, never let your kids play it.
That was an example of a review of the site, don't follow what it says, It is all wrong. The site isn't groom land at all, it is just people being stupid who haven't taken a proper look at the site. Plus, there is a chat filter which blocks out many things including innocent words, making it broken. This means if you tried swearing or saying vulgar things it would come out as: '#### YOU' or 'wanna have ###?'. However this filter is broken as you can easily bypass it by changing and removing letters. Putting numbers can also bypass too. Most nice people are those that don't have Robux, while many people with Robux will brag about it and call people without Robux noobs. A noob is a new player, not a player without Robux. To conclude my review, if your a parent reading this, I would recommend Roblox to your children as it and teach them coding and can give them a fun online exprience. Ignore the bad reviews that slander Roblox and teach your children whats right and wrong online and don't hate on Roblox. The site is free to download, You can make an account in a few simple steps and you are done. You will also need to download the game client which is easy, and you can jump in! Problems in the game:
1.100 robux=$1. This is already expensive to get Builders Club, and then Robux ends up being worth more than most currencies? WHAT?!
2. Builders Club. First of all, Roblox makes players believe that Builders Club is 'cool.'
3. Bullying. If you are smart enough to NOT spend money on Roblox, people on the game will call you a 'noob.' The definition of a noob is a new person, not an ugly one!
4. Horrible grammar. You will find lots of children with horrible grammar on the game. Examples: "Your under arest" "Buagatti is trach" and so on...
5. The safechat! It makes sense to block some things, but blocking every number? Really, Roblox? Examples: in real life, you can say "1000". In Roblox, it comes out as "####".
6. The rigged Bloxy Awards! Examples: EthanGamerTV being nominated for best livestreamer. He does not livestream. Many tiny YouTubers are being nominated for being the best channel, as Roblox skip out on channels such as Denis and PewDiePie.
7. People asking for robux. Because robux is expensive, you will always find people begging for it on group walls. "rubox plz" "Can I have ### (100) robux?"
8. Botting on groups. Groups such as Boho Salon have BOTTED their users for robux. That's sad.
9. Botting on users. Out of the about 440,000,000 accounts on Roblox, only 20,000,000 are active.
10. Copyed games. 5/10 of games have been copied, either with a copylock or without. (not including inspired games, such as "Lab Experiment","Jailbreak","Fashion Frenzy", etc.)
11. CLICKBAIT! So much clickbaited games are on Roblox! They are sponsored, and have terrible reviews. Roblox does virtually (see what I did there?) nothing to end these.
12. The removal of TIX. TIX was an easy way for Robloxians to get currency, until ROBLOX DELETED IT.
13. The removal of lifetime BC/TBC/OBC. More $$$ for Roblox.

16. No free robux! Two MAJOR Youtubers have been banned because they have helped the Roblox community be less poor! Roblox didn't even REFUND THEM! Another way for Roblox to steal major $$$ from their players.

18. Robloxians judge a LOT! Bullying is an example. Social experiments also conclude on this.
19. Treatment of guests! Roblox has tried to remove guests 3 times already. Robloxians have stopped it from happening 3 times.
20. Roblox's community! Roblox is full of children who cannot even spell right! Roblox should teach grammar lessons!
21. Roblox 'hackers! Another way of scamming people.
22. Clickbait youtubers that never get punished! This is also Youtube's fault as well as Roblox's.
23. Bribery! Roblox removes games whenever people tell Roblox they will pay to remove the game of their choice.
24. ANTHRO! Roblox decided to add HUMANS to a blocky game! Really?
25. Robloxians have NO VOICE IN WHAT HAPPENS TO ROBLOX!

32. Expensive gamepasses! One gamepass to get admins is 20,000 robux. (The equivalent of $200.)

Summary: Roblox has too much issues and DOES NOT GIVE A (will not put profanity on this, so...) DUCK ABOUT ANYTHING! ROBLOX JUST WANTS $$$ AND GETS SERIOUS $$$ OFF OF SCAMMING! (Does anyone know why micromanaging games are popular?) In conclusion, this is me to people who play Roblox.

(I recommend you read this **entire** review to give yourself a general idea of this platform. This review is not exaggerated, doesn't complain about a specific game or is that. Kind. ("ow rublux banmed me 1 star!") of review.)

First of all, what I see the most on these kind of reviews; Roblox is NOT a game, but a developing platform, with a website which allows these games to connect and get easy access from players alike. If something happens with a game (that is not created by the company itself for an event for example), don't blame it on them. Try to contact the developer or developers of that respective game.

This is an online community, of course there are toxic people. If you can't accept that, You can disable your chat, which I highly do not suggest, as it takes from the fun of the game. Except, what I actually suggest to you is that you find a community of people with the same interest. The platform enables groups, private games, a friend system and a private and group chat system to talk with those friends outside of a game. So, find yourself a group or friend group with a similar interest, find a game you like and try to stick to it. Closed, smaller communities are obviously cleaner. It works on the same logic as real life. In a small town, everyone knows everyone and Roblox won't try to commit any criminality, even behind the anonymity of the internet.

This platform, as I said, is also a developing one. The code isn't that simple but you don't really need to script build yourself a house, or small place to hangout with friends. There are multiple YouTube tutorials on developing games on Roblox, and I highly suggest you give it a try. You can also find new friends with this same interest.

An important thing to note is that Roblox pays it's successful developers in Robux, the in game currency. If you get enough, you can trade them for real money. This makes Roblox a possible job. Multiple developers are making Roblox games to sustain themselves in University for example.

An important message for parents: Yes, you CAN disable your child's chat feature, or friends feature, but do you really need to? This takes out from the fun, and part of the game. Yes, some games don't really need a chat function, but most of the front page games are about role playing as a princess or hanging out with friends. If you want to keep your kids safe, just keep an eye on them when they play, instead of being lazy and just deactivating social interactions.

Also, there is a darker part of this website, but as long as you don't try to find it and don't go on any website promising free robux, you are safe from it.

Now as a sentimental note: This game was with me since 2012. I was 6 years old when I made an account. At this point, Roblox has been a part of my life for more than half of it. I've seen rises, downfalls, things coming and going. I've seen a lot of things. Now, why am I telling you this? For 2 reasons. First, this game helped me get shaped in the way I am today, and second, as you can see, I HAVE NOT BEEN ABDUCTED. That myth is false. I haven't met any predator on this website since 2012. Your kids are safe.

Except some problems, this game clearly deserves a 5/5 rating. How an older generation grew with Club Penguin, so are some kids growing with Adopt Me or Meep City.

Give it a try! You won't regret it.

Explaining common problems

1. Hashtags stupid things like "Girl" or "The" Maybe even "i"
Well, Yes that is true. But recently it let us type numbers which helps a lot.

2. Scammers and hackers are not getting banned
Some are, I was banned from bloxburg for hacking but anyways, That is wrong. Roblox are haha, My friend got banned for 3 days because we both got in an argument with trollers. Sad thing is that it banned her, but they were the ones who were being rude.

3. Verification system isn't working correctly
I have to say this one is comepletly true. If you check the button for not having to do it for 30 days, It doesnt work. Next time you log out your gonna have to do it again. Also, The verification for logging in, Sometimes it doesnt work. A few days ago it was math, and everytime you got one wrong you had to start all over, and you would have to answer within 10 seconds or you also have to start all over. However thats not an actual problem.

4. Private chat bugs
This isnt a problem because its exetremly easy to fix. Just private chat someone else and get out of it. Done.

5. Logging out or internet issues
This actually isnt a big bug. Its because your device is old or your internet is bad. If your device is new, Its because its a mobile device. However if this is happening on pc, Aside the internet issues, Then your pc if most likely old

6. Game bugs
Im comepletly offended by this. If there is a bug in your game you have no right to write a review for roblox about it, If there is a bug in a certain game contact the developer of the game. Roblox didnt create That game. For example, Royale High. There may be a few bugs but thats because its highly detaiIled. Turn your graphics quality down if theres a problem, If there still is a problem then contact Callmebob (Or developer of certain game).

7. Everything costing robux in the catalog
If your gonna write a review about this then get more information. The stuff in the catalog is made by the community, not roblox. About the robux, It doesnt let you make it free because the game needs money.

8. (My own problem) Clothing fee for 10 robux
Not gonna lie, I hate this update. I understand because now you dont need premium to create clothing but still, This is gonna bring down many clothing designers including me. It was better when you had to have premium

9. Premium robux.
I had this problem, but it was solved quickly. If you dont get your robux on the 1st day of the month, Wait. The day you purchased premium will be the day you get robux every month. I purchased premium on the 4th of a certain day. Which means i get robux every time it is the 4th of a month. Lets say, YOU purchased premium on the 23rd of a month. That means you get robux everytime it is the 23rd of a random month. Recommend to get premium Near the beginning of a month.

10. Free Robux Generators.
This is your problem. You chose to do this. If it doesnt work dont get mad, because thats normal. However in case it does work i suggest to get 5,000 robux or under because anything over 10,000 Can get you banned.

11. Is the game safe for a 6 year old or under?
I would personally say its safe for 4 and older. Why? Because Its comepletly your choice to walk up to someone and start talking. If you are a parent i suggest letting your child play games that allow free private servers. That way your child is alone in the game and not able to talk to strangers.

I was so connected here that I started to play it in my SCHOOL'S BUILDING. I was first on this game, but then along came brother. We played together, and everything was fine, but along came a game called "Lion Roleplay". I actually risked my self on it, being a maned lion jumping on the backs of unmaned ones, yeeehhh. So I enjoyed it, nevertheless. But then my sweet fruit went out of date, and I saw people chatting cursefully. Of course if you write a curse in Roblox, Roblox will filter it with "#n" n being the number of letters in the word. But CODE WORDS. (e. G, 'faq' can mean f**k as much as Frequently Asked Questions.) I saw so many, I told my parents, and then I went as far to contact Roblox HQ. They replied with what I knew was an automatic email picked of a range. Here, Animal Jam actually recognises which jammer (That's an Animal Jam player, btw.) or parent sent the complaint and how to deal with it. However, this was auto and I know it. Also, reporting on Roblox NEVER WORKS. You send, they see, what next? NOTHING. They do nothing at all. When Animal Jam sees the complaint and investigates. More recently I was showing my smallest sibling Super Mario Bros and HD comparisons

So to start off, i joined in late 2012-early 2013, and i'm 17,
I think roblox isn't as good as it was back in the day, but even though i take lots of long breaks from game as of recently, i still come back to it. The game in general isn't that bad, it's just management team's terrible decision making that makes look the game bad, for example 2013 haloween event, even though alot of people said it was bad, i still had fun playing it.

Roblox moderation is bad: I mean cmon, roblox has like 328 admins (most of them probably don't even
Belong in moderation departament (as of writing this review))compared to millions, maybe billions of players.
Tix removal was a bad choice: I agreed with this argument at first, but when you think about it, Roblox needed money to keep game running, most of parents/players in general have no idea how much it costs to keep a mmo like Roblox running, and Roblox has to make money somehow, microtransactions are the reason you are playing this game for free godamit.
No idea if this is going to shut up salty parents or not, but hey, it was was worth a try.

Roblox is a great platform where you can play all kinds of genres of games made by the community from Roleplay to FPS or even strategy. Although it has quite strict rules on what you can upload, say and do this is to keep it safe for it's main audience, younger children.
No matter what genre of gaming you're into, Roblox has something that you'll enjoy which is what makes it so special, and it only takes seconds to load into a game and start the fun. Yes, the main target audience is younger children, but pretty much anyone at any age who is into gaming can find some games Roblox enjoy on the platform.

Another part of what makes Roblox so special is the fact that players can create their own games! On top of that, revenue earned from those games can be exchanged for real life currency - I myself own a game and have made £1700 and 700k Robux (the currency used in Roblox) off of my game, which is pretty amazing.
I won't pretend like it's easy to create a successful game on Roblox that earns you money, of course. Just like creating any game, you need to spend days planning and months developing it, not to mention hiring people for graphic design for your thumbnails etc, so it's not for everyone, but it's still something to think about if you're familiar with the LUA scripting language and know your way around the Roblox Studio.

I've seen a lot of people complain about how Roblox is unsafe for children because of online predators or other inappropriate content. As with all multiplayer games, there is always the chance, no-matter how small, that someone could expose a younger child to more adult content. However, with the right privacy settings and a child that knows what they're doing when it comes to talking with others online, you can pretty much eliminate any chance of this happening.

There has been false Reviews on this game for years now due to them playing the games on the front page of Roblox, and just calling it quits, basically. Just Look And Judge without doing any research. This will lead to them making judgemental comments about it, also online daters can be easily avoided by just avoiding them(Duh.)
But the main REASON of why the false reviews exist are: Greedy youtubers, taking advantage of children minds and parents desperation, with clickbait titles: These youtubers such as Inquisitormaster or Denis and other youtubers, make these videos because a lot of children watch them.
Children = Views, and Views = Money. This will lead to roblox having a bad appearance on the youtube website. Because THERE IS ALOT OF VIDEOS LIKE THIS, Like 1 Thousands of them, just search Roblox on the Youtube search bar. And these "Family friendly videos" will pop up in a millisecond. With no actual Roblox videos in sight.

If you actually liked roblox, you wouldn't put up a fake facade about how "cute" and "Family friendly" you are in your videos, In order to lure in parents. It shows that Roblox are only playing this game in order to earn ad revenues and not enjoying the game. They see this game as a Job, because roblox is for kids right?
If you do this in order to earn money. Leave ROBLOX alone. Go make nursery rhyme videos or something.

Flamingo, Remainings and Ruben Sim are the only channels that are actually entertaining to look at, because Flamingo is a parody of those family friendly channels and Ruben Sim and Remainings has really cool vids' (THAT DON'T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF CHILDREN) Leave roblox alone REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

The reason on why Roblox graphics is so special is because it does not focus on graphics, but focuses on buildings and how well the player can move through them, most good graphic games such as fallout or Left 4 dead has this thing where you can't stand on an object or a table full of stuff.

But in Roblox. You can just jump around on things all you want. This is because the Roblox Character doesn't have any sort of complex design, It is very similar to the Minecraft character, But Roblox characters have more freedom to move around because the brick designs are random while minecraft only has blocks in it. You can put the characters feet near a bottle and not worry about the character's animation.
To understand what i meant.
Try playing Temple Of Memories in Roblox and jump on any furniture and do a seizure on it, move your character randomly on a furniture like a table.

ROBLOX program is about making games! This is why there are so many random games on roblox. Because people wan't to earn robux through developing.

My kids loved playing roblox, every afternoon they'd come home to play. I was happy Roblox were getting along, till I saw their screens. My daughter's in game avatar had it's legs spread open as another player had been humping over her. Unbelievable! I asked her to shut the game off and she did. I later went on to look at the game, they told me it was child friendly and so did Roblox themselves. "Kid friendly" is not a way to describe this game. Being sexually insulted in a game, but even worse, kids acting out as 18+ year olds. I was aware there were predators on the game, but never expected them to have s3x in a game! As a parent this is freighting to know your kids have an interest for this kind of game. Wanting to learn more, I created my own account and purchased 1k robux so I wouldn't be considered a 'noob.' The first game I went to was awful! Digital Lego characters carrying around guns, shooting people. Not only that but you could rob banks! Terrible influence for young children such as my own. There was also a lot of profanities going on in chat. I saw a child in game cyberbullying another, they told them, "noob give cash, give it BiCH. Idiot ugly noob give money" (Bich = b1%#h) I understand roblox doesn't want this sort of behavior in the game, but they haven't done anything to stop it. I tested it myself and there was a safe chat. But it doesn't stop people from finding alternative ways to cuss at others. On top of guns, virtual sexual assault there was online dating. I went in game and a guy had asked me out! Following up by that he told me to open my legs! I do not suggest this to anyone! Kids can even buy virtual items and 'robux' using real u. S dollars. Children do not understand billings, so them seeing a price on an objected means nothing. 20k robux for $100 is most likely FREE for them. Do not let your kids play this game!

Great gameplay and pretty much no glitches, but there are hackers. The hackers have been mitigated, but not eliminated because of a review on Facebook about a not so kid friendly thing happening to the poster's child. Because of this, the company decided to enable filtering enabled on all games, which prevents most hacking and greatly decreases the risk of this happening, so i have only seen like 1 hacker in the past 2 years. About privacy settings: If you want to disable chat, you must go into your child's account and click the gear in the top right corner. Then, you go to privacy settings and disable chat and stuff there. It also blocks stuff like inappropriate games if you'd like. If Roblox wont give you their password, it feels bad man. Also for their Account Settings PIN (to get into settings if u have the pin click the lock at the top of the page). You can also make games with ROBLOX Studio. However, some users may be unsuitable for the platform, such as trolls, bad actors like scammers or hackers, and cyberbullies, To circumvent these, you can click on the offending player on the Leaderboard and click "Report Abuse" Fill in the information about the offender and send it off. (to those who see this, reports do work! I did it once and it banned them but it might take a few hours-days.). Some players have been exceptionally bad and banned very quickly, which one of those got to me in that 26-second time frame. The offender uploaded a link to a porn video on YouTube with a clickbait headline that said "Roblox moderator framed as child predator", and they got banned very quickly. Another person also uploaded illegal content which i don't want to know what it contained, which was up for >30 minutes. These two incidents were on the forums, which were shut down because of an unknown reason, but i think it was this toxicity going on that made them do their decision. Online Daters (ODers) are pretty dumb. You never know their age, and they might be having sex in game or in chat. Most of them are only in games, so don't report them unless they are having sex in chat or like planning on real relationships. If you dont want this, disable chat for most of these risks.

This is extremely worrisome, as the Roblox corporation uses an in-game currency that uses real-world money for its transactions. If the Roblox corporation is willing to take the information and cash of customers, but unwilling to provide control of their own information and especially for products of which a user has paid for, when the individuals have done nothing to violate the Terms of Service, strikes this one as a corporation rather predatory in its practice.

If this corporation is concerned about Canadian Law, whatsoever, it would almost be regarded as a violation of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, such as the general statements of "obtain access to their personal information and ask for corrections if necessary"

Understanding this, several members have had their accounts exploited too, and the Roblox corporation has shown its unwillingness to support and defend its consumers, and have actually supported those willing to hack legitimate consumers of their products. This includes scenarios such as having in-game products, worth in-game currency, which themselves are worth actual financial value,

CONCLUSION: If you are willing to spend real money to purchase their in-game currency known as "Robux", you may be viable to assume that you will lose that financial value when the corporation inevitably takes away your access from your account or shows apathy towards so-called 'hackers' who take items out of your account using their "Trading" system.

Roblox is a great game. I've seen many reviews being mad about robux or hackers or other stuff, so i'll try to report a bunch of things in this review.

I've been on Roblox since 2014, going from mobile to PC and I have been on Xbox. Even better, there's VR which is slowly growing in certain games. Youtubers have been reporting about this VR as you can see cleverly developed VR games which make I think all of us want to get a VR headset to expirience for ourselves.
VR players get certain abilities. The ability to grow, shrink and hit players with their hands. You may think this may lead to disaster with VR players everywhere just ruining people's day, but no. Roblox are restricted to certain games that allow VR players to play. Joining this game is basically consent to be smacked around for the fun of the VR players. That is it for the VR section, let's head over to Xbox. Xbox players on certain games like Phantom Forces or Arsenal can actually have a really good time. It's like a general FPS game, but in Roblox, It's less violent, pretty much free, and almost no adult language or other. Say, let's get over to the filter.
The filter is very protective against offensive language, very hard to get past, but there are also flaws. There may be things that are innocent to say that you can't really get sent into the chat. Like numbers.
Numbers might not be said because personal information may be shared through the chat. Credit card info, address, phone number, etc. It's a reasonable thing to stop people from saying. But when your innocently maybe just trying to count or add up something, tags get in the way so you cannot use numbers as often. (You can also use a /mute command to mute, or a /whisper command to private message someone.)
Anyway, moving on to the devices.
On PC, which might be the most popular device, has most players because of the operating speed PCs can get up to.
Developers also use PC because it is easiest to write code, build, and other.
Pretty much all front page games are made on computer. There isn't much to say, but PC is probably the way to go if you want some fun. (but also beware, if you dont have a good pc some games with not be kind to it.)
Let's go to Robux, the digital currency.
Alot of 1 star reviews have problems with this, claiming that Robux may cost too much, you get bullied or insulted for not having any, or people may get hacked and lose all of it.
It isn't really that bad, it may be expensive for some people, but if it is, just dont buy it. If you get insulted, ignore it. It was your decision. Or like I said earlier, /mute. Anyway, alot of things are bought with robux. Certain games, items, gamepasses (gamepasses are something you can buy to help the creator or get special benefits in a game)
Most paid games are around 25 robux. Each robuck is one cent, so generally pretty cheap.
Most clothing items are around 5 robux, so clothing is an easy thing to get! Items like hats or faces though, those cost more. From simple faces for the people with no robux, to limiteds (which are a special kind of item that are very collectible) that cost over 100,000 robux. And you may think that's a ripoff, which yes, it really is, but remember, you don't have to buy it. Don't worry about it. Premium, is a member ship which you get special features like the ability to make groups, extended group count, a certain amount of robux each day, robux discounts and etc.
That's it for Robux, let's move on to mobile.
Mobile for roblox is good in some ways, but the operating speed and lag is bad. It's a mobile device. It cant handle like consoles and computers do. This limits them to certain low graphic games, but if you find a good one, fairly enjoyable time.
Oh, and hackers/exploiters. Exploiters and easy thing to deal with. Report and join a new server. Hackers on the other hand... They are hard to get. First, verify your email. Second, do not try any Free Robux sites or games. Don't give anyone except trusted people. Lastly, just be careful! If you trade with someone with your robux items, you could get scammed and then your valuables would be compromised and you'd be stuck with something half the price of what you bought. Now, reports. People might think reports work, and yes, they are VERY flawed, but keep in mind. The moderation team is small. They have to rely on robots, they have low staff due to the pandemic or other issues, and other moderators might be busy with other things that might need more attention. Now, I don't think I have anything else to say, please take your own opinions on your mind, I don't mean to jab those opinions down, just responding to all the 1 star reviews.

We have had Roblox for the summer of 2020 since May. We and our friends have had mostly trouble.
My child is educated on internet safety and she has reported many things to me as she and her friends come across it. I've also witnessed various con's and pro's.
One of the main issues is with the company and it's handling of those who violate their guidelines/rules. There are many groups that openly bully and admit it yet still are in the games and play often. There are hackers and scammers too that can stay and are only banned from certain games.
The game does an ok job of concealing bad language with hashtags over the offensive words however there are ways to get around this.
You must do a few housekeeping tasks to ensure you are safe from not only certain players but the company itself.
Make sure your children have some education on internet safety.
Make sure you READ all the policies there are many and several circle around to the companies benefit with no recourse but appeal which is usually denied. Roblox stick to the policies with no exceptions. This is good but the individual situations are not reviewed beyond the complaint and the company text.
I've witnessed several bullying situations with my child, her friends and others in the game. There have been comments and actions that are not appropriate for kids at all.
Keep an eye on which games you enter as well. There are some instances of being taken to a private room for in appropriate behavior.
Supervise your children at first and guide them to the safer games (servers). Many are private and are governed by those who create them.
There are ads from various companies. There are also Robux which kids need to get certain things and are often encouraged to buy. You pay a certain amount of money to receive Robux. Kids can earn game money when they do certain tasks or when a pretend check pops up and they click on it. This will only "buy" certain things. For the bigger or more prized items like potions and certain clothes, pets, transportation etc. You must use a credit card to purchase Robux.
My general advice is that the games are more suited toward teens and older. If you have a younger child on be sure to supervise them and watch what they are doing. Be sure they are learning the right things.
