I then called SAKS to address my concern, I have been told that a manager will call me back, I called back and again been told that a manager will get in touch with me. NO ONE has ever called me back.
I then filed my dispute with my credit card. My credit card resolved in my favor in the first 40 days and then 3 months past I have been told that saks has sent them proof of delivery? Thats not what I disputed dummies.
Bottom line is dont shop from SAKSOFF5TH. If you have to make sure you return your goods by hand and not through mail, I know some people who have been charged for authentic goods and have been sent fake stuff.
BEWARE, this company got some unprofessional, unethical people working for them. If they are not the head of the gang anyways.
Saks Off 5th were trash. Around the second cancellation customer service began saying that A) they couldn't honor the original sale price because their "computers only go up to 20%." Then they began referencing a shadowy security/verification team that apparently is like a slow, incompetent retail death panel without any recourse or appeal. When I asked for a manager they said there wasn't one on site, it was just a phone number. They're all a useless happy band of fraudulent, obfuscating morons who seem bound and determined to make sure you miss out on Black Friday sales and whomever you were buying a gift for NEVER will get it. They literally cancelled my orders 6 days after they were placed, which is when they should have ARRIVED. And it was after I called and provided all the information necessary to prove my identity to customer service. Of course, they didn't even know if it was an identity issue? I ended up ordering from Nordstrom and they completed the order without a peep. Didn't even cancel once.
To me it seems obvious that Saks is advertising sale prices that it cannot honor at volume. It's flailing financially, and using the bait-and-switch to inflate sales figures and traffic. It's illegal, and I believe (and have recommdnded) that they are investigated for false advertising. I believe others should as well.
When I opened the package, the first thing I saw was a tag with the price reading $90.10. I realize this isn't a massive price discrepancy, but it's still unpleasant to be overcharged.
I contacted CS and asked for a price adjustment and included a photo of the price tag. Seemed like a reasonable request, but instead it took three emails and over a week to get a response.
After asking me to repeat all of this info I'd already sent, the CS agent assured me I would receive a price adjustment confirmation email and my refund in 3-5 business days.
When 10 business days had passed, I could see I would not be getting my refund. Additionally, I found a hole in my pajama pants. Not a hole that I had ripped, but a hole where the seam had never been properly sewn together in the first place. I would not buy such pricy pajamas if I wasn't sure of the quality. Hanro pajamas bought from the real Saks have never once ripped on me, even after years of use. These are defective.
Yesterday I got an email from Off 5th saying how pleased Saks Off 5th were to solve my issue - as if!
No refund for their price error and defective pajamas. The other reviews are spot on, go to a discount retailer like Nordstrom Rack that has customer service, or even a TJ Maxx.
This year I received an email with a "Upto $500 off" promo called the "Mystery Money Promo" on their website. Using the promo via the link in the email, voided some of the other promo codes available on their website. I thought I would roll the dice hoping the "Mystery Money promo" code would provide a higher discount than the promos for 20-40% off would. During check out the line item for the promo stated "mystery money" without any discount or dollar figure in the pricing column. So I thought perhaps when the order is filled and my card is charged the "mystery" would be revealed. A week later I saw the amount reflected on my credit card. NOT A SINGLE CENT.
Since the 16th of December, when I finally received a response to my third request for assistance from Susanne, I've been emailing and emailng to get help. On the 18th I received an identical generic email from someone else requesting the same information I had already provided Susanne. That same evening, the 18th of December, I graciously replied with my a copy of response to Susanne from the 16th.
Since the last response on the 18th and several emails for an update I have not heard one word. No emails, no calls, or love. I have them a pass because of the busy holiday shopping season. But that's been overbfor a week now. I understand after the new year Saks Off 5th are busy for a couple weeks with returns, sales, and people spending their gift cards. However, my request for assistance is almost a month old. I should be taken care of before someone who just requested assistance. I am one pissed off customer!
Since I was concerned they would rip me off, I didn't open the box containing gidts for my friends and in laws visiting from Antibes and Strasburg France. I have a feeling I will be returning everything. So on Christmas eve I rushed to Nordstroms and got everyone replacement gifts.
After reading reviews from others staing Sak off 5th refused returns because the items was worn. Yes, a lot of items are worn. But not by the customers of Sak Off 5th. These items were returns from the Sak On 5th deemed not worthy for the 5th ave store. Therefore they were sent to their version of an outlet store. That outlet store is Saks Off 5th. I encourage you all to look the item over closely, take photos of items beong returned for whatever reason. If an item appears worn when you first open the box, take a pic and email it to them the same day. Especially shoes. If you wear shoes around the house you are likely to crease the leather and create little scuffs on the sole. Check for those. Use an eraser to remove scuff on the sole and stuff the shoe tighly with tissue to lessen the crease. I personally don't buy shoes online for myself. I have for others. And on occasion see a shoe has been worn. It may not have seen a night of dancing, but there is evidence someone had them on their feet.
The entire process was a huge pain - the only store near me refused to accept them as Saks Off 5th were closing down. Fine. I print out the return label, pay the $9.99 return fee, and ship them off. Today I find out my return has been rejected, and the shoes sent back to me, do to them being in "unsalable" condition from use.
To be clear, these shoes never left my bedroom, and were tried on maybe twice. I called customer service but they were unable to do anything for me, despite me looking at a brand new pair of shoes. I have never in my life had a return rejected, as I am extremely careful with clothes and shoes I'm not sure I'm keeping yet. While the deals are good at Saks, I can't run the risk of purchasing from them again.
work with binch of companies, with buyers and various departments and very familiar with return policies. Saks Off 5th all kick on the day you receive product, not when you have purchased it.
No wonder this chain has such low review rating and a bad reputation. I am closing my account and card, buy buy.
PS: I have both assocuiates names if anyone would be interested in further discussion ( very doubtful about it...)
Placed an order of $300 CAD egiftcard, before I placed the order, I asked to representative via online chat (name Keisha)
She confirmed I will received a $50 CAD egiftcard and was advised that I can place the order on phone as well.
Right after I purchased, I found out I was NOT able to use the gift card online for Canadian order. And was NOT able to use via phone order as well.
One customer representative on phone even told me, no refund, you can use it when you fly to Toronto/Calgary... (where there's a Saks store)
What a joke...
AND, I was told I am NOT qualified for the $50 CAD bonus gift card as well. Because it's not in USD.
Mind blown...
This Keisha from online chat really should reflect yourself and stop misleading customer and wait customers time and money.
So does that phone rep who told me to fly to Toronto in order to be able to use the gift card in store... speechless..
I contacted return center within a few days, explain situation that the tags was cut from ring but still have them in box with all original packaging. I was assured there would be no issues with return. Weeks gone by with no communication, then I receive the product back, I contacted returns Saks Off 5th said there was no tags and I replied that I did send them with the ring the reply was there was a scratch on the stone. I was shocked. If there was a scratch it was the way I received it. The ring was not worn.
Trust a firm belief in the reliability, ability, or strength of someone or something. Well I do not believe in this company, I believe each individual has a free will to make a choice. This company can not stand behind their word. Now I paid an expensive mistake. I will not be visiting this company in the future.
As I purchased using #paypal and I have made a claim. I spent over $1100 with Saks this year and usually spend about 500-700 a year for the last few years. Never will I shop with you again.
