THEY WANT ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER --- BIG SCAM -- DON'T DO IT.
AFTER USING SILVER SINGLES FOR ONE WEEK, I COULD NOT GET INTO MY ACCOUNT. CALLED THEIR PHONE # *******444.
I WAS TOLD THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY COMPUTER AND SilverSingles NEED ACCESS TO IT, I IMMEDIATELY HUNG UP.

THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT LET ANYONE GET ACCESS BY INTERNET TO YOUR COMPUTER.

ONLY WAY TO CLOSE THEM DOWN IS DISPUTE CHARGES WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY. Once a dispute is open with Credit Card Company, they flag that company. If any of their customers has a similar charge from that charging company, they refuse to process it until verification is made with the customer of the credit card.

As with many others, I ended up going through many personal questions a week ago. My only absolute was a non smoker. During the week I was given several smokers and 99% of matches were all from many other states. There was only one other person showing that is in my area/County, but I did not get any response from her, even after a couple of attempts. So most profiles are not valid, or do not want to do anything more with the company, or can not have access to the site that they paid for, (such as myself). Now I understand, the week that I did have usage, and communication with others were all new enrollees, such as myself

After one week I could not get back into the site. I asked to have them sent me a new password, but no email was received even after several attempts to request to have my password reset. When I signed up, there was a phone number which I called *******444. When it was answered it sounded like a call center in a " Boiler Room"with a heavy foreign accent, I informed the individual that I could not get back into Silver Singles. The individual wanted access to my computer to find out what is wrong with my computer. I told them there is nothing wrong I just need to have them reset the Password. I was told they cannot do that, and need access to my computer, which is a BIG SCAM.

Their Fax number for support is in Germany.

Rip Off!
Don't waste your hard earned money, folks. This is the absolute worst experience I have had with a dating site. With other sites (like Match.com) I get numerous contacts and matches that are within my area... almost none from SilverSingles. Despite my stated distance range, I get so-called matches from 3000 miles away. Seriously, what a joke this is. Worst, it wouldn't even let me hide my profile - though it doesn't matter much, as no one seems to be out there, anyway.

My email complaints and demand for a refund were never answered, and the telephone number listed on the site for contact is another business. I am outraged that such a rip-off is still operating. Stay away, folks. This is fraud!

It's All About the Money
The two months I browsed SilverSingles after entering my profile, subscription prices ranged from $32/mon to $18/mon with a minimum of three or six months. Price seemed to go down the longer I waited. I put a limit of 50 miles from my town. Lo and behold I quickly had 196 matches! Less than 25 of those matches were within 50 miles of the big city where I live; most were 100-150 miles away in bordering states. If a paying member sends a message to a non-paying member, the non-paying has to pay for a subscription before reading the message. I really question where those journalists who give the site a high rating received their information. It was easy to delete my profile when I opted not to buy in, but SilverSingles warned me I wouldn't be able to post a new profile if I left them.

Scam, RUN AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE
I thought I'd test the site and sign up for the minimum at a modest cost of $13.00. I then checked my credit card the next day and it was billed for $83. I tried to contact the various emails to request a refund and got into a customer service loop which was a series of emails. In summary, these thieves kept my money with the following message: "Regrettably, we will not be able to refund your subscription fee. The right to a refund expires after 3 days of the initial purchase of your Premium membership. " Never purchased a premium membership, never accessed the site, but couldn't get the issue resolved. Scammers, scammers, stay away from these people. If there was an option to give them less than one star I would.

DON'T DO IT!
I decided to do SilverSingles for one month to see if I wanted to use it. In reading these reviews, I also received the email from a guy saying I was gorgeous and told me to hit him up on What's App to arrange a coffee date. But, the biggest issue is that after just a week after paying for the service, I received an email stating that I had changed the email address on my account - which I DID NOT! And now I have no access to my account - so I can't cancel the service and SilverSingles can just keep billing me monthly because I can't cancel. They do not have a customer service phone number and their response when you send in an email is that they will do their best to get back to you within 48 hours... But I read here that someone else's account was hacked and they wanted to charge them $199.99 to fix the issue. UGH!

Bull$#*! Site
A legitimate site would reveal faces and data base. Instead faces are obscured. You end up going through loads of some what personal questions. Then when you finally finish, SilverSingles bombard you with so called people liking your comment/ profile and some kisses come in.
Still you are unable to view the faces until you pay up for minimum of 3 months with auto renewal unless cancelled at least 24 prior expiry. But of course that is well hidden in their policy conditions way down at the bottom. Obviously hoping most won't read that far. Always best to go straight to the bottom where the most important information is kept.
So i get people apparently interested in me who made the contact to me at a God forsaken time like 7 am or 1 am in the mornings. A good indicator that it is from a another country with a bogus person apparently from Australia. In short? Stay clear of this Mop.

Waste of money and time
Registered and completed the profile questions and added 3 pictures. My profile was quite specific on the type of relationship that I'm looking for yet I got matches from men who hadn't bothered to complete the questions. I can't understand how someone would be considered a match when there are no answers provided to the questions? I'm looking for a romantic permanent relationship and I received a "match" from a person looking to "hang out and have a good time". There really should be some attention paid by SS on what SilverSingles consider a match.
This next part is nothing that SS can do anything about I'm putting it here so that it will hopefully help someone who is considering registration. From what I have gathered there are more women then men registered. Even if you take the time to write a thoughtful message to a suggested match don't be surprised if they don't reply for e.g. I wrote messages to 3 people not one responded to me... am I that bad? Nothing not even thanks for your thoughts. Sorry but why put yourself out there if you are just going to be shut down.

Worst Dating Site Ever!
This is the most unsecure site I have participated in. Numerous fake profiles fishing for information, Everything you put on your profile must go through a review before it appears, after over a month of my profile information not being reviewed I had to message them. I also want to note that some of the profile information will be edited by Silver Singles using words I never said. Majority of the so called matches have no profile photos and limited information. I have also found it difficult to report fake profiles. DO NOT SIGN UP. I have found Match.com to a more user friendly site. I will try attach a screen shot of a typical fishing message, I have received many of nearly identical messages.

Worst I've seen
I have tried several dating sites, so I'm familiar with how SilverSingles should work. SilverSingles is by far the worst. I canceled my account after only 2 days. Why? I had almost NO control over anything. In order to set up an account, I had to wade through a series of personality test questions. Then I discovered that the results were very inaccurate (e.g. Said I was "extremely laid back" and frequently very late... NOT. I am VERY OC and especially punctual!). Then when I tried to post a full-body pic of me, my pic was cropped into a head shot. When I tried to narrow my matches by specifying requirements (distance, age, etc.), it kept overriding my settings. Every time I tried to edit/revise my profile or change my picture, it had to go through a "review" which delayed my updates for several hours. I kept getting duplicate emails notifying me of old messages that I'd already read and responded to. The only messages I received (3 in all) were "smiles" (flirts) from shabby looking characters who frankly scared me (one guy wore his under shirt and took the pic in his bathroom mirror). I am a working professional with a graduate degree. Is this the best you can do? When I tried to contact customer service, it took them 2 days to respond! I canceled my subscription and will NOT go back!

Pathetic site and service
This app is designed to steal your money. The fact that you can't sign up for a single month is an example. Majority of potential mates are in other states, of which the app doesn't even tell which state. You will need to continuously look up cities to find out the people are a few states away. Also received numerous fraudulent account reaching out to me. Requested a refund after the first week or so and offered to pay for a month, but SilverSingles refused and am stuck with a worthless 6 month subscription. You can't search on your own, you only get options the app sends to you. Providing a preferred distance is a waste because it completely ignores that portion. The company is located in Germany and is not subject to US law and fraudulent criminal activity. I could go on, but hopefully you understand my comments. I suggest you spend your money elsewhere!

Don't bother! MKII
I changed my mind about completing the registration (as I am entitled to do), because of the dodgy way the site is set up. There was no mention of price until I had created a profile. I tried to log into my account to delete it myself but my password was rejected. Nor did I receive an email in response to my request to reset my password, I rang the Sydney contact number and left a message. Later in the day I received a call back from a woman who would not identify herself or the company. Seems the office deals with more than one dating site. I told her I wanted to delete my profile. When I told her I could not log on again to delete my profile, I was asked numerous personal questions. The justification was that "she" (unnamed person) needed them to get into my profile. When I objected to this line of questioning by an unknown person, I told her that I had also sent an email. She replied "I receive a thousand emails every day" then hung up on me. I then received a second call where the same woman asked for my phone number then when I asked her if she would delete my profile, she said "you know I can't do that?". Then hung up again. Appalling customer service. I do not recommened this company.

Regret spending money on Silver Singles
Most of my "matches" have barely filled out their profile, no-or only one picture, nothing under interests. Hard to tell if SilverSingles are even real people. In fact, I have been matched with couple of scammers. If they actually have an algorythym, it seems negligible at best. I am constantly "match" with individuals who either have little information about themselves or whose basic information is divergent from the preferences that Silver Singles asked me about. For example I have indicated on multiple occasions that I would not consider someone who's educational level is vastly different from mine (because it would be difficult to find things in common) and yet they continue to show up as matches. The site is a waste of time and money. I certainly would not recommend it.

Worst dating site ever
Have tried several dating sites over the years with some success, leading to dating and 2 long term relationships. This is the first time I've been on a site and haven't met anyone. You can't communicate or see profiles without paying. Initially the site asks for an extortionate amount of money (like $129 a month), when you don't bite, SilverSingles eventually offer you membership for 75% off that's reasonable but not cheap for what they provide. $60 for one month, $100 or so for 3 months, and a yearly package for just shy of $200. They also offer coaching for an extra $200 fee. Of the 2 people who wrote to me, the site claimed that they were scammers after I cancelled my membership and gave my telephone number to them before leaving. One never contacted me privately. The other did and I believe he was a scammer. I sent several smiles to suggested matches and all I got back were rejection letters. You can't tell who likes you in this site. There is a section on the App alone that shows mutual matches. In 3 months I didn't get one single mutual like.

The site was difficult to navigate. You couldn't search on your own, only respond to suggested matches, most of which don't match your preferences. They edit your photos to show mostly facial close ups. The site frequently freezes.

The site is expensive and more concerned about taking your money than providing a quality experience and service. It's not user friendly, is not conducive to making connections, has scammers on it, and there seems to be few true active members.

Bottom line... waste of time and money.

Sadly Appears to be a Scam
So I signed up and within a few weeks realized it was simply a store front with no substance. I tried to get a refund within 30 days, but SilverSingles told me I can only get a refund within 3 days of signing up. What I found most interesting was that the small handful of emails I got from supposed interested guys were soon followed up with a "warning" email from SS telling me that I had been contacted by a known site scammer and they urged me not to give my personal information or credit card information to these people. I thin the scammers already have my credit card information. So honestly, what a major disappointment and waste of $143. Save your money and go to a more established dating site.

Be ready for scammers, bots and non-helpful customer service
This is my 2nd try with SIlver Singles and what I have gotten in both cases is seemingly fake accounts that are "matched" with me or "smile" at me. The profiles generally have no photos or just one (probably from Getty images -- not to many people take deep-focus pictures!) and the profiles are barely filled out like "I like family and friends" Yep, that's all SilverSingles write. Then SIlver singles ays they are a 92 out of a 100 match.
Still on hold (going on 45 mnutes now). YOu have to call to cancel your membership.
Many profiles "smailed" at me, initiating convesation only to act like they are my best frioend and want to take the conversation immediately to private email (where two of them have fawned over me (who they don't even know) and then they start asking for more and more detailed information. Oh yeah, they're IP is from the other side of the country - -not local to me. It's bad enough that SIlver SIngle often has the wrong location for another's profile and often "match" you with someone 2000 miles away. Below is a picture of a nice looking woman named Beth that was supposedly a few miles from me. It is a photo of a fashionista/presenter from the UK and her photos are easily found on the internet.

Dishonest unfair services
First time I tried 3 months Premium Membership on Silver Singles for AUD269.95. And when it's nearly expired, SilverSingles will direct debit my card. But because it didn't have any credit in it, so they couldn't take it. I've been scammed few times before, so I really don't want to happened again. After thinking for about couple months, I've decided to extend my Premium Membership again for the same amount. They've approved it within the next day and sent me a confirmation email saying welcoming me back and thanking me for my purchased but it didn't stated the periode. After nearly 3 weeks they blocked me so I can't see the members photos or message them! This is not right!

Very Disappointed
I have signed up last December and so far, haven't received any reply from the matches that I sent smiles, comments and messages to. I had to delete one after the other, as I was sick of waiting for a reply from them. Most of the times I had only 3 matches which I had to delete on the spot, as there were no decent profiles or no photos. I am so disappointed with the site, and unfortunately I will have to be there for another 5 months and suffer. I have wasted my money, I don't think that it is fair on us who are genuine people. I wonder if these people really want a relationship, no matter what sort. Maybe in Germany SilverSingles think that Australian people are stupid and that they can be scammed easily. For the price one pays, please we need better service here.

Hacked
Apparently my account was hacked and the number of fake emails went out from it. I contacted silversingles and asked them to delete all the messages that I had received in response rather than me going through a hundred of them one by one. I also asked them to check into the account. Nothing was done, alit continued and SilverSingles did not delete the numerous responses I received. I contacted them again and promised I would contact the better business bureau if they did not delete my account and credit me the balance remaining on it. Over 2 months! They finally responded and said someone had hacked me, and that they have a secure server. I have deleted the account now, not only was the account compromised but it did not provide the service that I was led to believe they would provide. They did not match the specifications that I had required as far as age, height, sex, race etc. It's a big waste of money don't use this site.

Horrible dating website
I joined for one month. There is really no way to see if this site is worth anything until you join. Before I joined I called customer service to ask if my preferences were really represented in their demographic. I got a really pissy customer service rep who's annoyance was barely masked beneath a thing veneer of civil condescension. Basically I was told to set my preferences in terms of distance, religion, etc. I set my preferences and expected to have someone, anyone respond. Granted I am a needle in a haystack. I am progressive living in a red state--but a fairly blue city--and am non religious. I also didn't want picks for anyone beyond 50 miles away. I've been on the site for 5 days. Nothing. Not ONE person fit my criteria. I was sent Christian men who were conservative and lived all over the place. I called again, got a much nicer customer service person who said I shouldn't be be so restrictive in my preferences. I think spiritual but not religious, set at very important, was not being too restrictive. I cancelled so it wouldn't automatically renew. I also asked for my money back. I was told I was past the grace period--what 2 days? I picked this site because it was recommended as great for senior singles. I didn't know if you were urban, educated, professional and not Christian you didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of Silver Singles finding even one person to match you with. I just threw away my money and whatever time I took to set up my profile. I feel ripped off.

Plenty of scammers that SilverSingles does nothing about
This site is full of scammers. Within less than a month I was contacted by 3 of them. Sometimes it's not that easy to find this out. SilverSingles does nothing about it. When I changed my occupation in my profile, the new job title was "in review" for more than a day and I would assume SilverSingles checked that there is nothing inappropriate in this box. At the same time having scammers on site and do nothing about it is Ok.
I reported the scam an provided an E-mail address of the person, that can be traced to the IP address of his or her computer, the phone number that can be traced to the person this phone belongs to and all other information I had on this matter. The answer was they don't recommend me to talk to this person any more. A very good and helpful advice. Probably they were thinking that after reporting the scam next thing I do is send the scammer my SSN and bank information. My opinion is that they just collect money and do not care about safety and security of their customers at all.
