I emailed twice, and Stockx kept telling me bid is accepted. Until one fine day, my gf enlightened me to check on my web history, i realised that their website had error and they shifted my bid to another tshirt. T tshirt is fugly, see attached, no one will buy that honestly.
My final email to them and you guys see how this natalie replied (see attached). You are in customer service and you threaten me that my account will be suspended indefinitely? WOW, just WOW. You should be part of the $14mil of U. S unemployment instead. Many others deserve the job more than you. Or rather, Stocks deserve to be closed down and i certainly hope one day some nice and ethical company would overtake stockx so buyers can have a piece of mind.
Lastly, buyers are always vulnerable at stockx. Why? I bought an item at $8150 on 15 june 2020, till 28 june 2020, its still "en route to stockx", sellers are only given 2 days to ship out the item, guess what the item appreciated to $10692, if you are the seller, seeing that the item appreciated, would you have sold it to me still because of the buyer and seller agreement? No you wouldnt, and stockx will just refund you, making you lose out because of all the credit card exchange rates. And if I still want to buy this item, i would need to fork out 25% more now
So one day, if a rich man or an entrepreneur is reading this, come up with a website better than stockx, if you protect the buyers and sellers, we will use your webiste for sure. If i make it in life, i will do this to give back to the community as well. And of course stay away from stockx Cheers.
Honestly, all I can say is AVOID AT ALL COSTS! These people are outright scammers and theives! Shame on you StockX!
So I shipped the shoes they arrived safely and I got paid quickly but in AUD which means I lost money on the sale. When I emailed them again and showed them screen shots of my profile which shows US dollars selected they simply replied with we pay everyone in their local currency now even though they admitted they could see what I had selected.
Also when you list something is does not show what currency it is in and even when I received the sale notice it still didn't say what currency.
If you buy something from them there is the option to select a currency but if you sell something there is not and as mentioned above even though I chose the currency I wanted they still payed me in AUD. Their site is vague and even misleading but I am sure they covered themselves legally.
Do not use this site it is very misleading and expensive, you can't call them, and if they make a mistake it is your bad luck and they accept no responsibility for their actions.
I purchased a pair of sneakers on 11/16/20. Stockx were supposed to be delivered by DHL on 11/23/20 but they never came. I called DHL who said they would have someone call me a few days later after they investigated for 4 hours. A few days later Antonio at DHL called me and said that he had the entire sorting facility my package was last scanned at cleared out and searched and they could not find my package so it was somehow lost and I should have StockX start a claim with DHL. I contacted DHL thru a form on their website since there is ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER WAY TO GET IN CONTACT WITH THEM and explained the situation. Daniela responded to my submission and demanded that I go down to my local police station, during a global pandemic, and file a false police report that the package was stolen off my porch. I explained again that the package was either lost or stolen at a DHL facility in a completely different city than the one I live in and that DHL already admitted to losing my package and could only start a claim with the shipper, StockX. Daniela demanded a police report again and said they would not even attempt to get my money back until they received this false police report. I explained my situation a third time and refused to file a false police report so they could commit insurance fraud. It wasn't until I started leaving negative reviews on other sites that I finally received a response from Akua at StockX stating that DHL had confirmed that a claim needed to be started and their "specialty team" would be in contact with me... something I had already told them multiple times. I expressed my disdain with how they handled the situation and I never heard back from Akua, or the "specialty team" she claimed would be in touch with me. It wasn't until 12/22/20, over a month after I made the purchase and had to deal with getting my refund back, that I saw the money back in my account without any sort of communication from StockX.
StockX is a joke of a company. There is zero customer service. They are a complete scam. They take money from their customers and then scam them by sending fake products or somehow coordinating a theft within the carrier company. I will never do business with these fraudulent scammers again. Everyone should pay attention to how many of the PS5's they've sold recently get stolen. StockX steals them and wants you to file a police report so they can have the insurance company pay for it. If you feel this has happened to you, file a complaint with Federal Trade Commission and your state's Attorney General. There should be a section to file a complaint against a business/company.
So as a possible resolution, I offer to pay for a third party authentication service of their choosing to take a look at the bag to verify it's authenticity. I also note in my response to them that I have the original receipt from the store and would also like pictures to proving the irregularities that their authenticators are claiming they saw. They basically sent me the same response as before, stating that they won't refund the fee and that they are doing me a favor by not suspending my account. This is crazy to me, since the resolution I proposed would be on my dime and would not cost them anything.
It's also worth noting I've bought and sold many items through them before, and all of the items I have sold prior to this passed authentication. You would think, given my honest history, that they would be willing to work with me on this issue. Nope. I guess they would rather have their $480.
Since they are unwilling to work with me, I will be filing a claim on the charge through my credit card company and if that doesn't work I will take the issue to small claims court. I am not accepting a $480 penalty fee (even if it ends up costing me more) on a bag that I know, and can prove, is authentic.
If you have similar experience, I'm urging you to file your case at the FBI, to help yourself as an existing victim, and prevent similar things happen to other people.
When I contacted StockX about it and gave them the photos below, they said: that was due to the manufacturing 'mass production' process, and they had nothing to do with it, therefore, no refund would be given. And they told me to resell the shoes. Really? They expected me to spend $496 for those 'defected' shoes! But, I expected to spend $496 for a truly NEW and FLAWLESS pair of shoes. That pair was NEW alright but also with DEFECTS, which they didn't let me know ahead of time.
I had to ask PayPal for their help to go after StockX for weeks before they finally agreed to give me the refund. Thanks to PayPal.
So, before you buy anything from StockX, especially, those very expensive shoes, read every single line of their return policy, ask about the authenticity and cosmetic conditions of the product. Double check with the seller that his product is EXACTLY the same as shown in his picture. And SAVE those conversations as proofs.
I gave it a ONE STAR because the site doesn't allow a zero star.
Stockx has always been excellent to me. From selling to buying. Luckily I'm in nyc where we have a physical location, but before that, I mailed my items just fine. My words of advice to you, if you plan to sell and you have to ship to them. MAKE SURE to take photos of everything, all proof of your item. Also make sure it is packed sufficiently... I can't stress that enough. So many people have no idea wtf they're doing when it comes to shipping an item out... make sure your box isn't looking like it was stomped out, use a fresh crispy box. That perfectly fits your item. Staples is an excellent place for boxes, or Home Depot... for clothing, my go to are bubbled envelopes, usually get them in any size you want from a dollar store.
As for buying... yes, I have had issues in the past, but... Stockx have always remedied the situation full proof. From big discounts, to full refunds, to even covering an item at no additional cost to me cause someone canceled on me due to the item going up. You won't get a reply within 5 minutes. When you write them of your issue... have good grammar and be respectful but firm. They will always listen and almost always satisfy your needs.
If you listen to everything I say, you will find the platform to be the best available hands down. I wouldn't be caught dead buying shoes in consignment shops like stadiumgoods or flight club. Their shoes are so $#*!ing overpriced. It'll never be worth it to me.
Goodluck all!
StockX works with sellers in a shadowy deal to double or triple charge customers for items that have been obtained in what could be nefarious fashion. StockX is unwilling to offer paying customers original proof of purchase. StockX seems to pray of the vulnerability the minority community by offering installment loans and popular hard to obtain sneakers.
StockX is attempting to mimic all that is bad about sites like eBay and none of the good like accountability, seller/buyer communication and trustworthiness. Many buyers have complained that StockX has shipped counterfeit shoes. It is also unknown if StockX is obtaining merchandise from outside of the United States.
StockX also does not have an actual terms and conditions policy, Stockx seem to make rules as problems come up. For many of the products that this company sells they are unauthorized dealers, which means that the customer will not be covered if the product is defective or stolen (PS5).
This company is selling wolf tickets please stay away and stay awake.
So why am I being asked to do this. The only reason the address is different is because we were unable to change the address on that particular card right away. Which shouldn't matter why did it change in the first place. Still waiting for a reasonable resolution which I don't think I will get from stockx. Will not EVER buy or recommend anyone to buy anything from this place
Them in hand. They refused to answer that. Then I paid $5.00 extra to UPS to have them delivered on sept 4. The shoes where delivered on aug
31st. I was out of town the shoes got stolen. UPS recognized it was their fault and promptly paid Stockx but stockx refused to pay me! I contacted
Paypal filed a dispute and won a full refund. After I won the dispute stockx in retaliation froze my account from making any more purchase stating
That I have has too many charge backs problems. That is a lie. I have bought over 16 pairs of sneakers and only had a problem with the last
Purchase. I see now stockx only cares about making a profit and nothing about it customers. They will lie and steal to make money. I have screen
Shots and emails to back up everything I have said. Stockx is a fraud that sells fake sneakers that's also why you can't speak to anyone over the
Phone only email. If you get a reply it will be days later if they even reply at all.
Be in my account or contact Venmo and see if there is a possible hold. So I reached out to Venmo and Stockx said it was successfully purchased. This doesn't make since. Stockx customer support is saying it's declined and Venmo is saying it was successful so who do I believe? I want my money or I want the ps5 that I purchased. The fact that I'm already paying more than what the ps5 market value is is ridiculous. Not a trust worthy site at all. What Scammers.
