Succulents Depot

This is the second time ordering, the first order I received had me amazed, not only were the succulents in great condition but they were beautiful. It had me wanting more!!!! So I chose to buy more, I wanted to buy all the beautiful ones they had, some where sold out but for the ones I did get to purchase I can’t wait to see.

Most of the succulents arrived as expected. However, the Tradescantia 'Nanouk' Pink Wandering Dude, was near dead. I am not sure if it will survive. I immediately potted and provided water. It does not appear as though it will be able to pull through. The rest of the order was great, outside of receiving duplicates through my monthly subscription order.

I ordered 19 plants in a big Birthday haul for myself and over all, it turned out well. I was skeptical based on reviews I read on other sites but I decided to go for it and I’m glad I did. The only thing that kept me from giving a five star review is that one of the plants I ordered was supposed to be rooted and it came with absolutely no roots, it was basically a cutting but without enough stem to pot it stably. The plants arrived looking a little sad but I transplanted them immediately and watered them and they perked right up. Be warned though, a lot of the soil was displaced, almost all of it in almost all of my plants. I ordered mostly 2” in pots and some of them the plant was completely hidden in soil, which didn’t bother me. At the end of the day I am please with my order and will be ordering again even though the shipping took a while (and I’m in the same state as the company)

The plants I received were what I ordered. They were alive. Some how in shipping the crested one had been spilled and was lying loose in the box. I was disheartened that it had no roots what so ever. I potted it anyhow and am hoping for the best.
The other three plants were all in fair condition, still in the pots and doing well.

I placed my order on 7/5, it was shipped on 7/13 and arrived on 7/20. Dirt spilled out of the box when it was opened and all but the String of Pearls were covered in dirt. String of Pearls and Firecracker Echeveria look fine as in the advertised photos after the latter was cleaned. Mike's Fuzzy Wuzzy was listing badly to one side, a small section of the plant was broken, and the leaves furled inward. After watering it twice, the plant has straightened up and the leaves are beginning to unfurl. The Ruby Necklace is a larger plant than shown on the webpage but only the vines are pink. There are some small white spots on the plant, hopefully not mealy bugs.
The Dream Dazzler looks the least healthy, appears to be slightly etiolated, 3 of the larger leaves out of the 16 on the plant are curled toward the center of the plant which has been watered twice in four days. The leaves are beginning to take on a pinkish cast which was not at all apparent when the plant arrived.
If you are located in southern California, I suggest sending the plants directly rather than routing them through northern Washington and then to Oregon. I don't agree that all your plants can handle shipping durations of a week or longer easily.

First the package was super delayed. Then, My string of tears was so small and had only like 4 tears on it and the sedum takesimense variegated was darn near dead and dry by the time it arrived, the string of watermelon lost a bunch of it leaves. I get that it's been hot and that delays happen but i was excited about getting these plants and i was left feeling disappointed and not really wanting to make another purchase.

I can tell right away, that these succulents and string and healthy. I order via other vendors but some have healthy looking succulents but it really wasn’t the case. So I would highly recommend The Next Gardener. Even for beginners, I ordered quite a lot and all of them are adjusting to their new home. And I really like that they include labels. Imagine if you are new and ordering a lot of succulents and they show up without labels? And another thing that I lived about these guys is that the plants looks exactly like one you ordered on the website. When they say the plant is in a 6 inch pot, be prepared because it really if if not a little bigger than 6 inches. Also compare prices with other vendors… see the difference? It’s a no brainer. I will definitely order again. Thank you for satisfying this expansive yet rewarding hobby.

Every plant was carefully wrapped in paper and taped. They all were healthy and had dirt , a few were in pots, others not.
They were all very dry but did not seem th have a negative effect. It did take extra days to receive them, and j had to reach out to them, to which they promptly responded that they had delays.

This is my first purchase with Succulents Depot. I couldn’t be happier. From speedy delivery, to planting my carefully wrapped purchases. Everything is planted in several planters. My neighbors came to watch and admire the succulents. So many questions about the names of the various plants. They were planted several days ago and they’re all thriving. I even have a bloom on one of the succulents!!

To all readers, I am a CPA who scrutinizes information, details, fact finds, investigates various matters, handles others financial matters, etc., and always demand excellence and confirmation of everything. Succulent Depot provided me details before my purchase speedily and allowed me to purchase beautiful plants (one recommended by them for which they provided pictures) once I had all the information necessary to complete my order with confidence. The order was flawless. All of the beautiful plants arrived living and as described. I deal with incompetence and inadequate/horrible customer service from all types of entities daily. I am qualified to report that Succulent Depot represents an exceeding excellent establishment with quality representatives, more than reasonable prices, and a great variety of beautiful plants for those that love them to treasure.

My plants arrived with minimal damage. I got a prickly pear cactus and one pad is loose and floppy. I got a bunny ear cactus and it was kind of smooshed together so the pads are all bent. I also paid extra specifically for 2 day shipping and did not receive my item until 5 days after it shipped. When I received it, the label shows light parcel shipping from USPS and according to their website it can take 2-8 days or longer. Should not list it as "2 day shipping" and charge extra because normal shipping would take the same amount of time. It seems misleading and dishonest... Like they charged me extra for faster shipping and shipper still chose a slow shipping method to save money on their end. Probably would not do business again.

Second time buying 4 in Monkey’s Tail. Bought the first one almost two years ago, and it’s grown nicely. Also bought another String of Dolphins. Bought the first one along with first Monkey’s tail. It was the 2in one, but it didn’t do as well. Never grew and died off in a year. Bought a 4 in one this time. It’s looking great after almost a week, and I think I should have better luck with this one. I also bought the 2in variegated String of Pearls. Looks good, but hoping I have better luck than the 2in String of Dolphins.

My order came quickly and everything was packed pretty well. I was a little stressed about my small prickly pear, which appear kind of bent in half from the way it was packaged but with some water and sun it’s standing up straight and doing well, and my other items seems to be doing good too. Nice way to get plants that aren’t available near me for a good price!

My second purchase, another cactus, was just as excellent as my first purchase from Succulents Depot. It
arrived in perfect condition. It was wrapped very carefully; and not one bit of dirt was lost around it. I just planted it and the first cactus I purchased a day or two ago. Hoping both will do well. They seem to be very healthy plants. The prices are excellent as is the shipping timel

My plants arrived in excellent condition and were much larger than I anticipated. I ordered three different Transdecantia cuttings, which from other sources have come squashed, wilted, and were tiny without roots, but these were huge, fully rooted, and ready to plant. My other purchase was an agave, and it, too, is a robust specimen. I will be purchasing again! Thank you!!

I wanted to wait until they were out of shock and happy. My first box did well. Shipped with love. Not your fault my post office people shoved it in box. I will say maybe the choices weren’t good for shipping. My crested was cracked and jagged. No biggie it props and grows. But my poor dunce cap was just obliterated. I’ve propped what I thought I could from reading and hoping for the best. But 3 out of 4 ain’t bad lol

Unfortunately the shipper took the scenic route, so I was worried my succulents would be in bad shape when they finally arrived. However, the larger ones were still in perfect shape, and the smaller ones seem to be bouncing back. Yay! Succulent Depot is one of those sites I could (and likely will!) spend WAY too much time and money on. Great job and thank you!! :)

I am so happy with my purchase. I bought 3 4 inch monkey tails a year ago. They were unrooted cuttings. I was skeptical and thought they could be fake. 1 year later they are amazing. I mixed succulent soil with lots of pearlite and didn’t water them until their roots were all showing. I water them every 2-3 weeks and use a cactus fertilizer. Great purchase.

Succulents depot delivered me two amazing succulents. I ordered a 2" string of watermelons and a 4" string of raindrops, and they came in a week with no issues at all. Both plants were bigger than I expected which was a nice surprise. I put them in new pots it's been 2 weeks and both plants have shown signs of new growth!

The plants are ALWAYS in GREAT shape and carefully shipped. I actually cancelled a different "succulent of the month club" membership after receiving my first shipment from Succulent Depot. Each order also comes with these cute little color playing cards with a picture of the succulent and care instructions. 5 stars HIGHLY recommended.
