Cancelled my order twice- large exchange rate discrepancy
After I had an incorrect address on my account last year I changed it to my new address, placed an order for a gift card (I'm in Canada) and Summit Racing cancel it leaving me with lost funds due to the exchange rate, this was about 50 bucks. The "person" Rudy in customer service has a name that fits because he's nothing but rude and not helpful at all. This year I place another order for a gift card as a "guest" instead of using my account because I assume this would work, and they decide to cancel my order AGAIN without informing me or even emailing me to say this was done, what the reason was, anything. So now I'm stuck with another loss of funds due to the exchange rate. Complete lack of customer service and no communication. NEVER AGAIN. Steer clear of this company.

Meathead
Core Return. Here I thought that I was getting a reasonable deal buying my BCM through Summit but when it is all done I paid more than if I would have bought it locally. The gentleman on the phone who sold it to me that I would be getting a return shipping label for returning my core, but what he failed to tell me was that the cost of the label would be deducted from my core charge value. That is a total BS statement. In short just stay away for this place. I should have read the reviews before I ordered so be smarter than me and read the review and RUN.

Customer service really sucks at Summit these days
I'm an international buyer with Summit for years. Last couple of order I had problems with:
- the credit card being refused despite the card was confirmed to be ok by the bank.
- shipping: I paid for shipping and the import charges, VAT etc to be included in the payment. Upon receiving the package I had to pay it again. I sent several times an email to Summit to get my money for the import VAT etc back, but still no response.

Customer service used to respond very quickly but since 2019 their service has really declined. I will not order from them again despite having been a years long customer.

Not Stainless Steel as advertised.
On 1/29/21 I ordered two swivel exhaust hangers that were advertised as Stainless Steel. These hangers are commonly known as muffler hangers. We've all seen how the cheap muffler hangers corrode away in the undercarriage environment. So, I ordered the S. S. ones from Summit. When received, the straps looked to be of S. S. but the heavy duty rivets and washers looked to be of electroplated zinc on plain steel. A quick magnet test showed that the S. S. straps were a 300 series stainless but the rivets & washers were not. To discern whether Summit Racing were steel or a 400 series stainless, a mild acid was used. The surface plating immediately bubbled and the cheap electroplated zinc was gone in an instant. RAW STEEL UNDERNEATH.

The goal was to prevent rust & corrosion, which ultimately causes the muffler bracket to break. After numerous calls to the company a customer service rep told me that the tech said I didn't know what I was talking about - there are many types of stainless and not all are magnetic. This is true. However, as a mechanical engineer for 4 decades with a good metallurgy background, believe me I know the difference between zinc plated and S. S. Summit probably had these made in China and the Chinese are known for screwing Americans every chance they get. Summit Racing is no better because they won't provide an ALL Stainless Steel part.

Censorship
Summit Racing review all submissions for product reviews, and reject basically anything but a perfect review of them and the particular product you bought. It is laughable. It isn't enough that their presence has killed the small speed shops but now they want every word spoken about them or the product to be perfect or it is rejected. How is that an honest appraisal of the product, or service recieved? What are you so afraid of summit? If you truly are the best as you like to believe then why not allow people to speak the truth? Then let the public decide for themselves based on honest reviews by honest consumers. What a joke!

Extremely rude customer support
I only received half my order. Called to find out why and Summit Racing said they didn't know but they would refund it. I ordered the replacement parts, but of course some were out of stock or had be replaced by more expensive parts. I never got a refund for one item. I called three times and had nothing but rude interactions with employees that seemed to not care at all. After a week of trying, I placed a charge back with my credit card company, just for the single item I wasn't refunded for. Fast forward several months and I decide (against my better judgement) to make another purchase with them. I get a call from their customer service the next day, the woman was extremely rude from the start. She told me "I guess I'll just eat the $21 from your charge back, but if you do it again we won't sell to you again". I told her to go ahead and cancel the order, I'll purchase from somewhere else.

Worse place I ever ordered from
Gift card. States 1-2 hour response... NOT! Three days later I have a message to confirm shipping address. Clearly on invoice already. No one answers phone so you have to leave message. Leave a message confirming. Nothing. Call three more times... leave a message. Finally get ahold of them from work. Sorry... you have to confirm from listed phone "because you are shipping to another state. Can't confirm this on another phone."By now birthday is long gone. Finally found message left on their phone and sent. NEVER AGAIN!

Summit racing sucks
Ordered a part on the 14 call them a week later to see where it was Summit Racing said it will be there in a week so I called them back a week later and they said it will be two months later I'm canceled my orders and they better refunded my money back they said it would take about a week to get it so I will be check my account to see if they do it if not I'm going to contact my lawyer so my advice is to all of you don't order nothing from summit racing it's a ripoff,,,

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! TERRIBLE SERVICE
Save your money and frustrations, order elsewhere! Terrible customer service. Summit Racing keep sending the wrong product in the mail and then saying they aren't willing to check it before sending it to make sure it's what I actually ordered. Then told me if they send the wrong product for the third time they won't refund me or try and send the correct product. Terribly rude staff and obviously not capable of doing small tasks. DO NOT ORDER FROM SUMMIT! Order from somewhere else...

Terrible Customer Service
Summit Racing is a ridiculous excuse for a company. I placed an order for a carburetor rebuild kit.and was charged a handling fee of $9.95 on a $28.72 order. I received the kit. When I could not do the rebuild, I saw that Summit Racing include a return shipping label. The front of the label does not talk about charging you for the return. So I used the return shipping label. I received a $20.22 refund to my card. When I complained, they told me the handling fee was not refundable and they charge $8.50 for using their label. The smarts on the phone stated that it is clearly explained on the label; and "why should they be out any money! I looked at the back of the label and found those charges written in letters 1/16" tall! As far as the company being out any money, they charge me $9.95 to pull a part! If they paid for the return shipping they would not be out any money! They don't care about customer satisfaction and both of the representatives I spoke with had a you're wasting my time attitude. I wish I could give zero stars!

Customer service
Order a engine timing set ford5.4L.
Delivered it was fast.
Installed parts didn't work email complaint nothing happened waited for a month to responses. Got tired of waiting went to dealer ship bought new set now is working.
Order parts 7/7/2020 summit complains 7/15/2020 try to call no answer.
I did my product review around 10/6/2020.
Stating what happened then Summit Racing responded my first email from 7/15/2020.
How that works now they want the part back is melting in metal recycling I'm not waiting that long.

Never get my money back!
Bought a door shell in may and patiently waited until July to ask what the deal was. Said it was backordered check again in a month! Miraculously two days later the driver called to schedule a delivery time. Finally! Unfortunately the box was severely impacted on the window frame and drug along the ground. The driver immediately took it back. Called summit and demanded my money back. Summit Racing emailed me saying they shipped a new one. Three weeks later I called and they said the order was cancelled but failed to refund my money. It's now the middle of Aug and I'm waiting my 3-5 business day refund check. Not to mention the hold time I had to go thru. Hours!

Great prices & Fast shipping
I searched the internet for the best prices and who could get me my parts (brake pads, rotors and calipers, front and rear for 2006 Dodge Ram 3500) the fastest. AutoAnything.com had comparable pricing, but the items weren't going to ship right away and some would one set of calipers were a month out. So, I went with Summit Racing. Everything shipped out the next day and I had every had arrived 1 week later, including items shipped from the manufacturer (Centric). So, I save a lot of money (over $500) just in parts over what a repair shop quoted me (just for the parts), which made me happy. Not bad, saving over $70 a day by waiting.

Find another company
Beware! Do not use summit racing, the representative did not put my apartment number when I clearly told him because he repeated it back to me. How I found out is when I checked the email, so I called back & spoke with a representative who said he would call ups & fedex & told me he did get them to put the address on, so come time for delivery no package so I called ups & Summit Racing informed me that there was no apartment # so they couldn't deliver the package unbelievable. I finally did get the ups order delivered now I waiting on the fedex order. Please do not deal with them they are very messy.

Do not order from them if you want your packages derived late
My package supposed to be tomorrow but it's going to drive late because Summit Racing can't get there crap together and get the package out fast enough and so now I'm out of a car cuz they couldn't get their s*** together my brakes are locked up and I ordered all new brake parts from them cuz it's cheaper but they use UPS which sucks major donkey wieners and so now I'm not getting my package too late so it means I can't get to work so don't use them or go through them if you don't want your package on time

Wrong parts and not complete kit
I am extremely disappointed in the customer service that I have been given with this order and hope that this email will open the eyes for whom ever is in charge
1) I ask if this was an original power steering install kit for a 69 Mach, 1with a 390 engine, 4 spd car with all the parts and was told yes when that was far from the truth this kit has no pulleys to which to attach the belt from the power steering pump pulley and the steering gear won't fit a 390 engine the steering gear hits the exhaust manifold and won't let the box sit flat on the frame? The pump is a gm pump Summit Racing have made a different bracket that is sold separate, not O. E. The sales and tech support team had no idea so they pasted me around from person to which no one knew what to do after spending 3 different calls of over 45min each, For a shop to spend this much time on the phone and still not get any help is insane. They ended on Fridays call with call to the vender while I waited on the phone for the 4th time and said that they were sending a different steering gear box then 45min later they called back and said sorry it's the same as you have now? This is enough to make you pull out any hair you may have left so please send a call tag for this order and will try something else
2) We also ordered a power brake kit and upon opening the box found a new foot pedal for an automatic again I called and was told that they made a separate pedal that they would swap to make this work we made this order over a week ago and still have not seen it
3) The car has now sat on a lift and wasted over 20 hour of our time our billable hour is $122.00 total of $2440 We feel that you take some responsibility and reimburse Tim's Automotive for this major over site
4) Please contact us with a resolution asap or we will turn this over to counsel after Jan 1,2020

Nice People, Idiotic business practices
I thought my order would be simple: Order a radiator, hoses, cap and thermostat. Since it was a service truck waiting for this stuff I had them check stock before placing order. Everything was in stock and ship next day. A couple days later all showed up except the radiator. I called them up and asked what's going on? SR said it on back order for a month? I said wait you guys told me there was 12 in stock that morning when I placed the order! So a nice lady gets me a better brand and I explained VERY thoroughly this a service truck, I need it ASAP. No problem she said, its will be shipped next day, I will confirm with an email. Next day, I get NOTHING again. I called up, and its on hold because the original didn't get deleted. WTF! Summit Racing have to wait to delete things on MY dime? In my opinion The Worse Company, I can't believe they are still in business. They need to overhaul their SOP on customer service. They don't care about their customers, its all about the money in my opinion. I will try JEGS or Autoanything next time

Do not waste your time literaly
Ordered Fab Four front and rear fenders back in sept 2020. Recived the rear ones in December and by January still didn't have the front ones. The rear came unfinished was supposed to be Matt black. Summit Racing were also rusted. Requested a refund for front ones that still had not arrived at 5 months late already. Once I got my refund I ordered from another company and had them within 4
Days. Summit racing sucks! They play covid card or they are out of stock. Well three other companies have them in stock so beware. Don't wait around for this company to send you rusted unfinished parts.

Price change after review and ridiculous shipping charges outside the US
Gave a 4 star review to a product, part of the comment of which was the great price. My review gets posted and the price immediately went up 35%! Is this a coincidental price increase from the (US) manufacturer to Summit, or do positive reviews incline them to raise the price on an item?

Also, their international shipping costs are too high and their invoicing on international orders is unclear- no breakdown of the shipping/handling/duty charges on the invoice, and equivalent size/weight packages from other US suppliers the shipping cost is less than half the amount Summit charges- using the same courier (Fedex) and level of service (ground).

Generally, except for the shipping charges, my experiences with Summit have been good, but the odd price jump immediately after I did a positive review on the product is disturbing and Summit Racing need to work out a more economical shipping program with Fedex. As such, for the purposes of this last experience is lower than I might have otherwise given them, generally speaking.

Bad Customer service
I hope you know exactly what part you need because Summit Racing don't care weather they help you or not to get the correct part, I was even told the parts wasn't available at all, I knew better so I went to Holley website and guess what? There its was. My point is why could'nt she do the same thing that just like I did, If she was really wanting to help me get the correct part, I"LL TELL YOU WHY! SHE DID"NT CARE! SO if you do their job for them then you will be fine. BOTTOM LINE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH BAD ATTITUDES. One more thing if you cancel an order because it was wrong(THEIR FAULT) it 5 to 7 business days before you get you money back I feel thats to long.
