Hello I love my Swiftwick MAXUS Zero Tab Purple Ice / MD. I now have two pairs, the other color I have is teal and matches my Brooks Running Shoes...the price is good, they are very comfortable, they are cushiony, they wash and dry well...I highly recommend these for women for walking or running or hiking.
The online shopping experience was easy and customer service responded quickly & are very helpful
Concerning the compression & sizing in the Aspire 4&7 Hi-Viz Yellow sock ....
There is more compression at the cuff than at the arch, where it is needed and as advertised.
I am also wondering if your sizing chart may be not accurate. I ordered the Large as noted for myself and Medium for my girlfriend.. and guess what, the Medium fits me better and I could feel more compression in my arch.
I also ordered the Aspire 4 & 7 (Large) in White and Black and they fit fine.
Again, this issue (so far) has been only with the Aspire 4 & 7, in the Hi-Viz Yellow color
The Flite XT Trail has definitely been my favorite sock of the Swiftwick line. As a OCR enthusiast, these have held up on days where I’ve done an 8 mile race followed immediately by a 4 mile race after just hosing them off in between. They also have kept my feet blister free while bombing down steep inclines where I thought for sure my toes would have made holes (a separate shout out to Brave Soldier for protecting the toes, but that wouldn’t keep the socks from developing holes).
Christopher I’d a class “a” customer service rep. He worked w/ me untiringly to get me the right socks & possibly found a “ sz. Discrepancy “ which will save u $. He comped some socks to get me to the right one & I will purchase a few more pr next month. Unfortunately I am having to put my 4 legged running buddy down this month .. so Christopher’s over the top performance is not going to waste. Love it that he got me into the right sz!!!
These socks are nice in a few ways. They dry quickly and they seem to prevent blisters. The thing that I do not like is that they seem to pick every little thing off the floor. They pick up little bits of things and they just stick to the socks. Even washing doesn't seem to remove this stuff.
These are great socks. My only complaint is a personal one. The large socks are just a bit too small for my feet and the extra large are a bit too big. (I apparently need custom-made socks.) Otherwise, they are the most comfortable socks I have ever owned. It is almost like I am not wearing socks. But they also make my shoes feel a lot more comfortable.
Got the Flite XT Trail Two to replace my go-to running sock, the Thorlo Running Light Cushion Ankle. The Flight XT is thinner and has lighter cushion than the Thorlo, which was disappointing. But it does breathe well. Too thin for serious trail running, in my opinion. Also runs small. I wear size 11 or 11 1/2 shoes and got a Large, per the size chart. They are really tight and short. An XL would probably fit much better.
I absolutely love my swiftwick socks. I love that they come above the ankle. Also, I accidentally gave the wrong shipping address and I sent an email immediately - I was responded to on the next business day saying the order had already shipped (they get stuff out quick!) but they had sent the same order to the correct address provided in the email. Will be a loyal customer!
My swiftwick socks arrived on time and I've been wearing them ever since. I Love these socks. I have a neuropathy in my feet and my feet are always extremely hot. I wear these socks golfing and they keep my feet dry and much cooler than other socks. I'm a customer for life. Thanks swiftwick.
I had bought them in white before which you don’t seem to offer anymore.
My complaint is that the ankle portion is really tight. I am sensitive to ankle issues so socks have to be just right especially with eczema.
So by the end of a hike I am so ready to take them off.
What happened???😟😟😟
Would love to give these socks a higher rating, as they are very well made, but they fit way too tight. I followed the size chart, (I ordered a large, as I wear size 11 & have a wide foot). I get the idea behind compression clothing, but my foot needs to splay out naturally while moving, (hiking & biking), one reason I wear Topo Athletic shoes. I have them pulled tight around the outside of some shoes in hopes they'll loosen up some. At present, it's a chore just to get them on, (all of this before washing).
I've been a pro guide for 30 yrs. and have tons of experience with feet, shoes & socks, with thousands of miles under my belt.
I love supporting American companies, and those who work at sustainability, so hopefully I can find a Swiftwick sock that works for me & my feet.
I was so excited to receive my socks and the wind has gone out of my sails. Here's why and I will have a follow-up when I receive my new socket and liners; hopefully in a couple of weeks.
My residual limb is rather short, approximately 5"/127mm. I am a very active amputee and sweat a lot, so I typically use a "cotton round", those make-up remover pads, in the bottom of my liner to absorb sweat. They work well and hold my liners in contact with my skin fairly well. I wasn't sure what size Swiftwick socks to get, so I chatted (online) with a representative and he graciously got me hooked up with a variety of sizes to try. I have tried all the sizes and the #5 seems to work the best. I do however find it a bit challenging to don the sock and get my liner rolled up. The sock rolls back on itself and takes a couple of attempts to get it positioned correctly. I wore the #5 sock to cut the grass (self-propelled push mower), and after about 1 hour I noticed less liner skin contact. Upon removing my liner I was happily surprised to see no sweat in my liner. The Swiftwick sock does its job quite well! For me, it's the losing contact and my liner getting loose. So, I ask myself; is it the liners? Is it my short residual limb? Should I discontinue all activities where I sweat? NO!!!! Will my soon-to-be new tighter socket assist in all this? These are a few of the questions I will answer in a second review.
The product is an awesome idea and I have read many reviews from other amputees and they are happy with them. We, amputees, are all different and this is not a one size fits all item.
Thank you Swiftwick for the socks and will continue to use them and provide an update when I get my new gear!!
These are way thinner than I expected. I think they would be a good running sock but not so sure about using them for hiking. Guess I prefer a little more cushion in a hiking sock. They are made well, however, and are good for just kicking around the house. Also, I have discovered that most Swiftwick socks I have bought run small. I would suggest ordering a size larger.
So comfortable and plenty of cushion in this series as well as great cushioning for long walks or all-day use. I have tried other socks that would make my feet sweat and form blisters while walking. I ordered the maxis for walking socks and wear them year-round and find myself wearing them for daily outings and on vacation. Great moisture wicking and they hold up well. Highly recommend these socks.
Absolutely love them . Huge game changer for a sweaty amputee such as myself. My only issue is the cost , half the fabric as some of your socks and twice the price . Also, my inbox is flooded with discounts on all your other products, I never seen a discount for just this product. Again I love these socks, just wish you could consider making them more affordable for people who are already getting price gouged on every amputee product in the world .
I love the Aspire 7 for cycling and have been buying them for years. The sock length is right where I like it and the quality is very good, as they last me a couple of season. The new socks i just ordered the material seems a bit softer and very comfortable ......they stay up on my leg without sliding down.
Very comfortable and durable socks. I bought this pair to replace a similar pair that I’d had for two years. I do a lot of running and fitness in my swiftwicks. Love the support and compression. Also love the little to no friction with my foot. Previous other brand socks created blisters on my feet.
Love all of my Swiftwick products. Aspire is an awesome cycling blend of compression and comfort, especially on longer full days of riding. Vision line is also nice for cycling, with a little more cushion, and a bit less compression. And, Pursuit is my choice for cycling and hiking in cooler temperatures
This was the first I had heard of Swiftwick products. I ordered a pair of their socks for my three daughters, all of whom are runners and dog walkers; a pair for my sister, who has a dog-walking business, and myself. All have reported amazing experiences with them.
I was very pleased with the ease of ordering, the affordability, and the swift delivery of the product. I would definitely recommend Swiftwick to friends (and already have).
I MTB and all-road cycle in these & I'll be taking them bikepacking. Swiftwick makes my favorite wool/wool blend socks and I wear them throughout the year. They're soft, never scratchy. They don't sag or bunch. They don't damp out (I live in a city that refers to itself as "famously hot" rather than humid asl). They don't feel too tight anywhere and the cushioning is subtle but perceptible. They also don't pill as badly as other brands have which I've worn less. (I have sm4rtw**l, d4rn t*ugh, f4rm t* f33t, d3f33t, c4b*t, and many others -- from winter sports pursuits.) These hit such a sweet spot for me. I wouldn't hike, camp or cycle without 'em.
