Last time using talabat.
Sadly, this is not the case and we have fallen victim to mishap after mishap with this sorry excuse of a company. The repeated mistakes are sometimes blunders that can be excused but the recurring incompetence demonstrated by Talabat Go and the Talabat customer service team as a whole is an issue that needs to be addressed.
The restaurant should be held liable when an error is committed on their part. However, as soon as that order is out the door and in the hands of a Talabat Go driver, the responsibility of getting that order delivered on time and in a presentable/edible state rests with the driver.
My order arrived tonight almost 2 hours after placing it through the Talabat platform. I followed up continuously with several different customer service representatives and was fed excuse after excuse as to why the order was late from "there's a lot of traffic" to "the driver is lost" to "the driver is just outside!".
I should not have been surprised when the driver finally did arrive almost 2 hours later and handed me an open, unstapled, damp bag with its contents strewn throughout. Needless to say, the food was cold.
The worst part, however, was spotting the delivery man slip his hand into the already open bag of food and help himself to some of my fries as he made his way down the corridor to my door. I handed the disheveled bag back to the driver and thanked him for coming out. I hope he enjoyed my dinner.
At this point, I got right back on the phone to Talabat yet again to explain to probably the sixth customer service agent I had spoken to today that my order was delivered late, was not packaged properly, was cold and was being eaten by my driver!
Talabat customer service agents are quick to throw out lines like "I am so sorry" or "I understand", but Talabat are just useless words that carry little substance if nothing is done to rectify these errors that occur almost every single time I order food through their platform.
The best part was when I got a call from a Talabat agent only minutes after filing a complaint with a previous agent, to let me know that my order that I placed over 2 hours ago is now on its way!
Please do yourself a favor and order directly from the restaurant rather than putting yourself through the misery of having Talabat coordinate your order. By the time your food arrives (should you be fortunate enough to receive your order in full and not a half eaten moist bag of food), you will have already lost your appetite from having to follow up and deal with incompetent customer service agents. Following my horrible experience, I ask that you please do not accept any food delivered by Talabat Go unless it is properly packaged and sealed. Otherwise, prying hands may just treat themselves to your bag of food as if it were an invite to an open buffet
I don't recommend anyone to ever use this app
A huge waste of time and money as well
Very poor unprofessional staff and drivers
This chat feature in their app is useless and all the staff are under qualified and very rude
Also there is absolutely no connection between the drivers and the restaurants
It's far better to choose calling the restaurant directly than to choose this app
I even recommend banning this app from Egypt
I really hope that the CEO Abdulhamid Al Omar know that is poor unprofessional stuff no with customers and try to solve it before its too late, I will for sure remove any payment credit card details before closing the account as its not safe at all to deal with those people
I want the top management of Talabat to check on my complaint.
I placed an order for Small chicken bbq pizza and cheesecake and the bill came to AED 30.40. Just seconds after I made the order, I got a call from a Broccoli restaurant where I placed the order through Talabat and the person told me that cheese cake would not be available as it is EID so Talabat are not preparing it today. I said okay that's fine just only deliver the pizza and I asked him how much would it be then as there will be a change of cost. He told me it would be AED 20.20. So I agreed and 20- 30 mins later, the rider from Talabat - Basant came with the order and gave me the bill of AED 30.40.
I said this is not the bill as i got a call from Broccoli as there is no cheesecake so the bill has changed. Basant informed me that he was not informed and the company/broccoli has not modified the bill. He came around 3pm and I got angry as the change was not reflected and I was not ready to pay. He told me he cannot drop the order, otherwise it will be deducted from his salary if I pay him AED 20 instead of AED 30.
He also mentioned this has happened many times before with Talabat and it was deducted from him and that the company never listens to the employees and keeps saying the same thing to take the money from them. I felt bad for Basant as it is definitely not his fault and company politics will definitely only blame him. This is a kind request plus complaint to Talabat to rectify your system and not penalize your rider's for your stupidity or politics. If you want to play crap you deduct it from your salary or the company budget and not from the poor rider's salary.
Be decent enough to accept your mistake and not make the customer wait for 1 hour at the door waiting for you to update your crap system. Such a cheap company, seriously. I want the manager to call me and demand compensation and the assurity that Basant the rider will not be penalised!

'I ordered a delivery at 3:57pm and by 6:10pm it had still not arrived. I contacted one of your Live Chat Agents called Ram for his help and he provided me with horrendous customer service. Apparently, it was not the restaurant's fault that Talabat had not knocked on my door or rang my bell to deliver my food.
He seemed to think that I would automatically know that the restaurant would ring me, although with my previous experience this is not the case.
I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service provided. It was and is atrocious.
I think that A LOT of customer service training is needed for your Live Chat Agents if they are all similar to Ram.
I am a Live Chat Agent for Vodafone UK with a 98% success rate. The way I was spoken to via chat was unbelievably bad and would be grounds for dismissal if I were to ever to treat a customer the way I have been.
I would strongly advise you to provided some customer service and satisfaction training ASAP for your Live Chat Agents as you will lose business VERY fast if this continues.'
Talabat cancelled our order fiest time saying some sorr of item is not available! ( what item? We ordered pizza!) Egyptian guy feom customee "care" couldn't explain and asked us to place the order again.
Which we did.
And waited another hour.
After an hour i startes tracking the order ans saw that it was cancelled again!
NEVER use them, people who work there are useless!
Noone even wanted to take responsibility for it and kept on talking using "phone skripts"
When I called Talabat for solution they say it not us we can only refund so I was juggling in the middle within this poor service and would they canceled order after long period of time of waiting! And why you can't reorder it not my mistake it yours! The only solution is refund and do it all again that very unprofessional!
