Worst experience I've ever had with a broadband provider!!!!! Several times I've tried to cancel my contract, been transferred from department to department, spending hours and repeat the issue, for the period of 4 months, with no result, no service and charged.... I will never ever have any contract with talktalk and strongly do not recommend them!
So awful. Used the online chat to register for broadband and the advisor couldn't keep information straight. I'd ask a question and get one answer which meant I was happy to proceed then later in the conversation they'd go back and say that the earlier answer was completely wrong and act like they had no clue where I'd gotten the information from even though you could scroll back up and see the whole chat. The advisor that day said I would receive a confirmation email and a second email to set up a password for my online account within 48 hours. Then that a welcome pack would arrive within 3-5 days. Been over 4 days now and the only email I've had is an automatic one with direct debit terms and conditions. Speaking to another advisor by online chat and all previous information was wrong, no apologies just the attitude that obliviously I shouldn't be complaining about not having received anything yet. This advisor says they won't look into why I haven't had a confirmation email until its been 6 days (much more then the 24-48 hours advised before) and that the online account can't be activated until the broadband is live so at least 2 weeks once I've received my router in the post etc. Last advisor has said I could use my online account to track the order but apparently I can't access it until the order is already delivered and the service active. In the same conversation with the same advisor I've given 3 different dates for when the same service would be available, completely insane that these people are meant to be providing information and are able to sign you up for services. God knows what I've actually been signed up for and whether it is what I agreed to. No idea how long the welcome pack with all terms and conditions is going to take to come. Given your ability to change your mind about the service without incurring costs is dependent on doing so before the service activates it seems like they are trying to hide the terms and conditions long enough to stop them being reviewed before charges start. Just been told that there is no error or issue despite the fact they have 'sent' an email to the correct email address but it has not arrived to my inbox, spam etc. and obviously based on this success I should have complete confidence that the welcome pack will arrive. And been told its just something that sometimes happens, not all customers receive the confirmation emails despite them showing as sent their side? If it wasn't such a well known name I'd think the whole thing was a scam and be calling the bank/canceling the payment card because the whole thing is run so awfully
Customer service is appalling. I have had ongoing issues for last 7 months. I escalated through ombudsman / CEDR and it was eventually "resolved". A month later they had returned to billing me in excess again. They blatantly agreed a new plan so I would drop the CEDR case then thought I would just give up. The hours I have wasted on the phone and live chat.
I’ve been paying for a telephone line which wasn’t even working for 2 years and didn’t even realise until the one time I needed to make a call.. nothing but crackling.. An engineer arrived a week later to actually get my phone line up and running.. Now the new problem is not getting internet and four times in 2 months my service goes and I get a message stating their end followed by engineer will fix etc etc but no offer of a discount or anything..
This is the worst ever service provider and expensive too
Disgraceful
No issues fixed 4 month
Asking more more money to fix it
Make me feeling guilty after they randomly when Im outside and asking confirm my bank account which of course I dont remember
Absolute garbage.
I've been with them for 2 months. I have been on the phone to talktalk for over 15 hours.
They gave me a "deal" for £26 pound a month. They put the wrong address.
I called them and informed them of this. They had to delete that whole account and start anew. They couldn't use the same email so I had to create another. Gave me the same "deal for £26.
Got the email, charging me £28 per month. Called them and informed them of this. Was told "The operations manager will look into this and we promise your bill will be £26". First bill came after 2 weeks of me going live and it was £42. £28 regular and £14 pro-rata charge.
I've phoned and informed them of this. They refunded the £14 and as "good-will" they upgraded me to a faster Internet for £26. Spent another hour providing details again.
Next bill is £28.
I've called to inform them of this. They then give me a £20 credit to last until end of contract. 18x£2 is apparently £20. They then added another £16 when I bought this up. Also turns out that the hour I spent on the phone giving my details to "upgrade" to a faster Internet wasn't actually done.
I am now awaiting the complaints team to cancel the whole contract unless they want to pay me an hourly wage for doing all their work for them.
How can so many different teams be so incompetent?
Absolute garbage.
Again appalling company it's supposed to be a communication company
No internet at home, tryed customers service they ask money to sort it out and after 3 hours just disconnected me
Issues following 4monts
AVOID at all costs.
Upgrading within talktalk package from old copper line to new full fibre line. despite being live for multiple days they claim that my new package is not active and not only did they not bill me at the old rate, but came up with a random new higher rate. Would not address this issue unless I specifically plug in a specific router provided by them to 'prove' the line is active. Told them their router is not being used because it has connectivity issues. When challenged what relevance which router I am using is to my billing, they just say it is a only way they will address my billing issue. The new package uses a completely different modem and outside cable than the old one. Confirmed my old line was not working anymore and new one is working, provided photos of the new modem with lights showing working, even using the internet provided by the new line to leave this review and check on account details, yet talktalk still claim my new package is not active so they cannot deal with my account inconsistencies.
Worst company ever left me with no internet over Christmas and they rang me and convinced me to join them terrible customer service and rudest I've ever spoken to avoid this company.
Terrible company.I suggest everyone who has had problems to ALSO leave a review on Trustpilot.Im sure all their 'good' reviews on there are fake.
Useless company, the "fixed price" guarantee means nothing to talk talk. They keep upping my charges despite being in a fixed price package, they find loop holes around it. I appreciate they are a business, however they do not act fairly nor honestly. If you do decide to opt in for service provision with them under a fixed price deal, be prepared for it to increase several times per year. This is fraud in my humble opinion. Customer service is shocking, not adhering to GDPR and requesting information that is not applicable to the query. Awful company
Talk talk is rubish, I sign up to talk talk business, and the day after I cancel the broadband because of hearing the bad feedback, and yes you guy's who give them bad feedback was right! They try to change me the first month bill when I cancel before the 14 days cool of period. Calling me and email and sending me letters to demand a payment.
1st keep a records of all the corspendes with them
2nd dont pay, because u have cancel .
They will leave u alone after 2-3 months.
Don’t communicate to each other, this is my 3rd time on the phone to them. Added an extra fee onto my bill spoke to someone who said it would be waived. Turns out he didnt do what he had to do so on the phone again trying to explain this to someone. Spoke to a women this time so hopefully the problem is solved….
The managers refuse to talk to people. GDPR guidelines and laws broken. charges for services not provided.
This is incompetent, I advise I'm being locked out, I receive a message telling me there is no fault, then get a message they are dealing with the issue. I've just spent 40 minutes trying to get someone to deal with the issue, who then says we will send an engineer tomorrow, I then explain I won't be here at 12 o'clock I'm away on business for the rest of the week, then get told he will be here at 3 pm, again I won't be here, I then ask how long has my contract to run, to be told it ran out in 2012,
Totally useless as a company. I'm of to find a new provider.
Absolutely awful company, shocking customer service. Only use if you're prepared to spend half the time on the phone to them due to problems. They will give you a scheduled call block time and then not call, they will give you an appointment to fix the Internet and not show up. They will turn up when interne5s working well and say there was a reported issue, which after they have finished working on leaves you with no Internet, despite it working fine before their visit.
After spending hours on the phone they will promise £10 compensation and then never deliver. Rude staff. Terrible experience. Feel so unvalued as a customer. AVOID!!!!
DO NOT ENTERTAIN THIS COMPANY, the customer care service will drive you completely nuts, hours upon hours online being transferred from one department to another, and still no further forward, they do not care, will fob you off with idle promises, they still owe me over £300.00 will I ever see that money again...probably not, go somewhere where you'll be appreciated, go through sky never had a problem with them,
If 0 stars or negative stars was an option I’d use that, all they can do is apologise when you call them while completely ignoring what you’re complaining about, probably been trained to say sorry only. If you call about a complaint, they say we called you back but you didn’t answer is what it says on your account. That’s the equivalent of me saying my grandma is a dolphin because that’s what it says one her birth certificate, it won’t make it true though . They will lie about trying to resolve your complaint just so they can provide ofcom with an explanation. Avoid at all costs and go for bt or sky . Or you’ll regret it
I've tried to close my account on numerous times with Talktalk as I had moved home and was not able to get fibre in my new address. Despite cancelling and having verbal confirmation from talk talk I was still getting bills. to the point where talktalk threatened me with debt collectors. I complained to the ombudsmen and talktalk dealt with my complaint, even paying me compensation. Yet today I am still receiving bills from them. How is this level of incompetence possible? If anyone is able to answer I would appreciate it.
