Worthless warranty, no customer service at all.
I spent over £1000 on a lens from this company. 10 month later it developed a fault. I filled in their warranty form and TechInTheBasket bounced it back asking for an order number. WHAT ORDER NO? They now say they are not E bay and I should contact my customer service! Any excuses, one after the other, now not replying to any emails.

I sent the lens to Panasonic under the UK and European warranty and they refuse it because the company is not a recognised seller.

I feel that they have simply stolen over £1000 from me. I don't know what comes next but I will pursue them through the law if necessary as they are a UK registered company, Digital Lab Services Ltd. registered in Salford.

Terrible company to deal with. TechInTheBasket do not have a phone number you can ring them and they do not reply to any emails.
I bought an item and it has been shipped 5 working days after by purchase even though I've cancelled my order through paypal.

They say Item is shipped from UK but what they do is to buy it from China, wait until arrives in UK then ship it from Manchester to UK customer.

You might pay a little more from a trustworthy source but its worth the piece of mind. Thankfully I've placed my order through Paypal and Amex so I have no doubt I'll get my money back.

My recently purchased Oneplus 6 phone cannot do voice calls
I keep asking for a refund or replacement. Instead their "support" emails me once a day with a suggestion to change in the settings which I had already tried eg clear cache or hard reset the phone (email ping pong for 3 days now and counting). My personal favourite was the following response from them:

"we have done some research, we found that its [sic] OK Google causing the problem" (I never activated OK Google and the Google Audio and Voice settings are set to OFF (Paused)).

My first purchase from them and what a nightmare. Luckily we have a thing called the Consumer Rights Act so TechInTheBasket will eventually have to solve the issue but "thanks" for making the process so lengthy and difficult! I will stick to Amazon from now on.

Can I just say that I am so sorry to be the panicking customer that I have been since placing my order from you guys! Yes I read the frightening reviews on the internet, but the communication from TITB has been exceptional, even though sometimes it appears a robot may be writing the email reply. Today I received my order 4 days after placing it (initial estimate was 6-8 working days). I would deffo order from you again! Again apologies for the emails I sent you. I did not receive my order. I have sent several e-mails to the vendor but I have not received any answer over months. Only recently, TechInTheBasket answered and wanted additional payments to send my order to me. I demanded a refund, however, the vendor has not answered anymore. I am now waiting for my money over 6 months now and have not seen a single Euro from them.
DO NOT BUY, you will not receive your order or see your hard earned money again!

Ordered Sony headphones 16 days ago. Following day supplied with Royal Mail tracking code which appears to be false as Royal Mail still do not recognise it. Payment made through Pay Pal two days after order. After several days of chasing was informed that Royal Mail having difficulty in identifying my address. Several others have been given this excuse. Have been asked to confirm my address where I have lived for 40years and there has never been an issue with Royal Mail as to delivery. In fairness emails have been promptly replied to but my request for refund has been ignored. It looks like I am never going to receive my order or a refund. I wouldn't dare to order anything else from this so called company.

My S10+ came with a scratched screen - unreliable site and very unprofessional customer service
I placed an order for Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus G9750 8GB Ram 128GB Rom Dual Sim - Prism Silver on 30th of July. The product came on 12th of August even though in their website it said 6-8 days delivery time. The product came in a sealed box and inside the phone was covered with film protectors on both sides (the Galaxy S10+ comes with a pre-installed screen protector). So I thought the product was brand new and was reluctant to the fact that there was a scratch on the right side edge of the front panel. I thought it was just a scratch on the screen protector but later I found out that the scratch was actually underneath the screen protector and TechInTheBasket cleverly hid it with a new screen protector on top. It means the phone was used before and accidentaly got scratched and they sent me the faulty device to begin with. So I contacted their customer service sending them photos and videos of the scratch and they completely ignored the fact that they actually shipped a faulty product to me and said that the scratch was made by me. How can I scratch the screen underneath a screen protector? The phone itself came with a screen protector and the screen protector has no such scratches. They asked me to get it repaired by myself and offered no other assistance. This is completely unacceptable. To everyone looking forward to buying a product from techinthebasket be aware that even though you are getting a cheaper price, I bet your product will come with some sort of fault, either major or minor. If you are lucky then it would be unnoticeable. Sadly in my case I did not get so lucky as the scratch on the screen is fairly visible and the only way to resolve it into get the screen replaced which costs £239, roughly half of the price I had paid for the phone. Choose an authorized dealer instead of techinthebasket when purchasing your product and don't make the same mistake that I have made.

Price was a lot cheaper than any other seller
Just bought an Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro from this site.

Ordered late Friday evening on 5th February, arrived today 12th Feb. Item was well packed and in excellent brand new condition.
As others have said their tracking is a bit dodgy until it actually arrives at the UK courier, Royal Mail in my case, but over all I have no complaints. Price was a lot cheaper than any other seller I could find, even eBay.

Would consider using them again.

Really disappointed
I bought bose qc 35 headphones with an additional warantee. When the product arrived the case broke almost straight away due to a manufacturing default. After a lengthy email correspondence with tech in the basket, TechInTheBasket still refused to replace the product (case) and said they could repair it for me but I would have to pay. I've looked on ebay/amazon and these cases cost about £18, an expensive price to pay for something that wasn't my fault. I wish I'd just bought the headphones of the Bose website. The reduction in cost that titb gives isn't worth it for the poor customer service.

Don't worry about the tracking number - it works!
Ordered an iPad and get the tracking number in a few days, but no tracking record at first. Contacted customer services who explained it would become active when Royal Mail received the package. TechInTheBasket also said the package would be with me within 8 days after ordering.
It does activate this a bit later and the iPad arrived on time.
Do not be worried about the tracking number not being recognized.
100% will use this site again.

Criminals online!
Purchased Garmin Fenix 5X watch which turned out to be a model for Asian market and it didn't have any European maps. TechInTheBasket admitted their mistake only after I sent them written statement from Garmin. And even after that they didin't agree to return my money because I did no longer have the original package. Made a charge back claim to my bank (credit card company) and they returned my money right away and contacted PayPal who informed TechInTheBasket that they have to return the money. All in all this process took two months and I would NEVER purchase anything from Tech even if they were the last shop on earth! After my purchase they lowered the price of that Garmin item and it is now on sale around 150 cheaper than in any other online shop. They still try to screw people with a product that does not match the product prescription - and propably it is also fake! Trust me you DO NOT want to deal with these guys!

It's a Scam. Simple! Paypal luckily reimbursed me.

DPD had no order of this nature.

I CANNOT BEGIN TO TELL YOU HOW MUCH MISERY THIS COMPANY HAVE CAUSED ME.

TechInTheBasket kept fobbing me off.

At one point they said, "Please don't worry, we will be in contact with DPD very soon.

It is hard to believe this company is still allowed to operate. Chances are, they'll liquidate the company and reopen under another name. My guess is they'll pursue this business model because they'll assume most people will not have the appetite to pursue their purchases.

I have told DPD about this course of action.

I was in a hurry to get another phone and £600 and two months later, I now have my money back.

The worse customer service i have ever experienced
Have received a phone with a bug, and after sending the phone back to be repaired, i am still waiting for them to fix the problem, and still having endless email conversations with them to explain them how importance is for me to get a phone asap. This doesn not seem to reach them, and their customer service is deplorable. It is incredibly frustrating and unbelievable that i have payed to have a normally functioning phone, and 3 weeks after TechInTheBasket still can't fix the problem. And again, their customer service is unacceptable. No empathy, care for understanding their customers, and basic understanding of the fact that they need to fix the issues of their customer in a timely manner.
I can only advise other customer to avoid this company with such a high level of unprofessionalism and just bad service.

Fitbit Versa
Fitbit Versa fault with waterproof seal breaking within 2 months of using along with multiple syncing issues. Contacted TITB customer service asking for a lesser product as a swap and TechInTheBasket could keep the monetary difference (approx. £30) instead of a refund so they weren't out of pocket from known problems with the product.

CS said no and a repair would take 4-6 weeks. A broken waterproof seal can not be repaired. Refund also refused, I emailed again mentioning breach of Consumer Rights and have had no reply (and reading these reviews, I don't expect one).

Their Terms & Conditions are not in line with Consumer Rights Act 2015. I am preparing a case for reporting to Citizens Advice UK and would urge others to do the same.

DO NOT TRUST TECHINTHEBASKET - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
Very Poor Customer Service, DO NOT TRUST this company, as if an item be ( Faulty) TechInTheBasket will not refund you full, they will put up some nonsense charges which make you regret of ever buying anything again from them - even when you been asked to return it for refund, they say you should receive your funds within 14 days from the day of return but do expect to be longer, as its normal to their business maybe 3 months would make them happy to keep holding you with no updates given whatsoever, As they kept holding me for 2 months and every email was sent to them got no response after 5 days, After waiting for 2 months in the end they refused to give me full refund, they are lairs - I Never Ever Buy Again From Them, it was my first time experiencing shopping with them but never ever will be back to them - I prefer Amazon next time as they have great customer service, I give 0 out of 10.

AVOID - A month & 22 emails to get all my money back for faulty item
Took a month, 22 emails, a threat of legal action to get my full refund (including return courier cost) for the Return of a faulty drone (Australian model sent btw).
Broke several promises and SLA's
TechInTheBasket have no understanding of the consumer contracts regulations and tried to tell me they were exempt from UK law (Their domain is registered to a UK address).
Also, their customer service advisor from the phone number on their website advised me to take it up with Tech in the basket - implying he doesnt work for them.
Won't be risking another order with them.

A dodgy and unprofessional company that sells refurbished as new, shocking lack of customer service
Ordered a galaxy note 8 from than last month. The item was clearly refurbished and missing the s pen. The phone number doesn't work and when TechInTheBasket bother to answer to emails they ignor the issues. They offered me a pitiful refund that didn't come close to the cost of the replacement pen and then rather insultingly made an even lower offer! They have said they will send a new pen but weeks later I have still had nothing and they have ignored all of my recent emails.

Just Excellent - amazed at the negativity!
Was hesitant to use this company seeing the negative reviews but the saving of around 250 pounds on the Samsung S8 dual sim tempted me. So glad I did.
Communication were perfect, fully updated with several emails. Phone arrived in the one hour time slot quoted exactly 3 days after ordering and that was with standard free delivery option. Phone was brand new in a Samsung factory sealed box with additional sellers seals attached. A UK adapter was also sent by the seller but there was no need as when I opened the box the official Samsung adapter inside was the UK plug type. On starting the phone UK English was automatically highlighted in the selection window so set up was perfectly straight forward. Cant fault the phone or the seller so far. Everything has been perfect.
Only down side is that I believe you lose the Samsung 2 year warranty as the phone is an international model but for the saving of a third off the price I am willing to accept that. Hopefully nothing will go wrong with the phone but if it does the seller has their own warranty covering it. If TechInTheBasket are as good and efficient with after sales service then they are perfect.
I will recommend the seller to others.

Don't be put off
I bought a pair of Bose QuietComfort headphones from this outfit as TechInTheBasket are a lot cheaper than all the other outlets. I was apprehensive due to the mixed reviews, but I thought that by using PayPal and a credit card what do I have to lose?
It didn't take long to get a shipping confirmation from them, but when putting the tracking information into the Royal Mail site over a few days, nothing came up. After about five days the tracking showed that the item had been received in their Manchester depot and the next day it arrived. Despite them claiming to ship from the UK, I suspect that they order from China and then send out. To be fair they say 6-8 working days on their website, so don't expect instant delivery.
The item itself was genuine and in a sealed box, so overall I'm a happy customer...

Delighted
I only read the terrible reviews after placing the order. Having been scammed once by Chinese outfit I was then quite anxious.
I received order confirmation and tracking number indicating up to 10 days delivery. I also emailed seeking reassurance and received prompt reply saying as consequence of Covid, delivery may be longer.

I was able track package which arrived after about 12 days. The Ipad is as expected and, at £40 saving, I'm still delighted.
