Customer service was responsive to inquiry about the status of my order.
Tennessee Wholesale Nursery and was told I had to let them know within 24 hours of receiving the plants for the warranty to be any good. I explained that I did and was told the plants where fine and to keep an eye on them. Bottom line Tennessee Wholesale Nursery do not stand behind their product and they are running a scam operation. One star because I had to choose something, it should be a 0
Most of the daylily bulbs have come up and the blackberries seem okay. The mulberry trees haven't done much yet but it's winter and they're dormant.
Tennessee Wholesale Nursery emailed back when I asked about shipping the blackberries (I ordered before they were in season) so they do communicate. Not sure what these other reviews are going on about.
Among verified purchases Tennessee Wholesale Nursery have all 1 star reviews - because that's the lowest number. If there was a zero star option they'd have zero.
I've ordered 7 bushes, 3 vines, and gotten a "free" set of two flowers. While I'll admit I'm not a master gardener, I've certainly grown more than my share of things. I've tried planting according to the directions, and then ignoring the directions and planting based on my own knowledge. Even planted in a controlled greenhouse environment. Nothing they've ever shipped me has been live.
Worse, when you contact "customer service" they ask you to jump through hoops, then when you do they have more hoops, then more hoops - I eventually said they could replace my order or I'd file a chargeback with my bank. FINALLY they made good on their warranty. And sent me more pre-killed stuff.
Save your time and spend a little more elsewhere. Fast growing trees dot com was FANTASTIC - yes, more expensive, but everything arrives ready to grow, and if there is a problem they just replace it, rather than trying to get you to give up because of all the hoops.
AVOID. Tennessee Wholesale Plant Mortuary is a better name.
Be aware when buying more than 100 plants their "Warranty" rules are only playing in their hands!
- Really unprofessional Customer Service
- Tennessee Wholesale Nursery trick you when buying more then 100 plants there is no warranty
At all!
- This is the biggest rip-off I have ever seen!
I just lost 500$!
I'm the most relaxed person on earth but making business with them is horrible!
I've ordered 290 beech seedlings in March... the box arrived, a bit damaged but the seedling were fine. I was able to put them in to the ground an hour later so they were safe and ready to grow. I've made some pics for the nursery in the beginning from the box also the seedlings when they first arrived just to let them see how they looked like.
I was wondering about 4 weeks later why there was no growth to see at all but hey maybe we still had a couple of cooler days so it takes a while. Two weeks ago I contacted them to give them an update that all of the seedlings are actually dead so brown in the inside which was and is a pity because I planted these seedlings before in another backyard without any issues.
I have to say their customer service is a mess! They only send me the warranty link... here we are... however I made all the "tests" stated in the warranty and this week I went back and told them there is not one seedling who survived!
I was very polite and explained in detail in my email also was sending pics as proof how the seedlings look like. Well they didn't care and I got the warranty link again and promised in writing I will receive a 100% in-store credit when I send some of the seedlings back. Well no problem at all I just ask for a written confirmation on this to make sure everything will be smoothly withing the return process.
Then another person, they never tell you a name, wrote that was a mistake I can send some of the dead seedling back and will receive a 60% discount for my next purchase! What the hell!
The lady, supposedly the Manager, was not really helpful and actually took a deep breath when I ask her to show me online their T&Cs... she then only said sorry for the wrong information about the 100% credit that does't apply for orders more than 100 plants! So now I can order them again and get 60% discount... which nobody in this world will do!
I planted all in a well drained, moist, shaded area along with the 100 other ferns I ordered. The planting area has many varieties of moss and native ferns growing.
I gave all the ferns a couple of months to show. Not one Bracken ferns sprouted. About 85 of the other ferns sprouted at various intervals.
When I contacted Tennessee Wholesale Nursery they basically replied tough luck. Your claim is beyond 30 days.
So beware. Especially if you're spending a few hundred dollars on ferns.
