We had been waiting for our furniture to arrive on July 1st, the day after we closed on our new house June 30th and when I called on the the 28th to confirm delivery we were informed our furniture had been placed on back order. The salesman admitted that he should have called us but it was to late by then. The actual or initial purchase should have made us ask questions because the salesman acted out of his element. The manager had to come over and logon and try to do the sale because he was logged on to 2 different computers and he couldn’t get the wrong phone number off of our account and we just had a feeling it was going to get messed up and it did. We ended up buying another bedroom suite only because it was similar to our original furniture and we could get it by the following week. We didn’t have time to go find another one. We did get the rest of our furniture at another place.

We purchased an Entertainment center from the location in Southaven, Ms. We will never purchase from this store again. The salesman was not correct when informing us of delivery and just wanted to make an extra $180 for delivery that was not necessary. The items did not come in a box as he indicated and the set-up was very unprofessional. We had to contact the service department to have them come out to look at the entertainment center as it did not line up and both ends were not stable. Also, the piece that went across the top was installed upside down and warped. They are now going to have to come out a second time to replace. They didn't even offer to reduce price for all the inconvenience this have cause.

We had two great trips to the store. Our Associate, John, helped us buy a mirror and a table for our large family. He was great to work with and made the experience easy and pleasant. We looked at other similar stores and didn't find the same level of quality or customer service. Great American Homestore will be our first stop the next time we are in the market for furniture.

Terrible exchange policy and no returns if you’re not happy. They also forget to mention important information until after they are delivered, like sending you an open box item when you paid full price (as noted on the price tag) for a new item/adjustable bed frame. We were then told that it’s a mistake and they apologies for the confusion but didn’t fix the issue. We were not happy with yet another purchase and called the morning after delivery for an exchange and were told that they don’t offer returns and will only exchange for an equal priced item only! (which is the same item we have because it was the priciest piece) terrible policy, definitely will not recommend this place and will not shop here any more.

The responsiveness of management is horrible. They never contacted me about my refund. I had to repeatedly seek them out and ultimately had to make an unnecessary trip to the store because I could not get help on the phone. To my dismay, customer's service reps located in the Memphis, Tennessee store are rude as well. Also, customer service rep Sharon’s rudeness and abruptness over the phone were unbelievable. I am not pleased!

Paid 100% in full for right $20,000 and it took 11 months to get the product then after being told by Jason he would give me the $500.00 the 2 chairs cost then try to tell me it was less than $500.00 because of the taxes if that is the case I for sure would think the taxes and interest over 11 months would offset it. I will wait and see how CHEAP YOU ALL ARE

We had great service during purchase and delivery. We however did unwrapped our chest until after the 3day return policy. We called GAH and they had a tech come out to repair for free, unfortunately it could not and the chest is no longer available. We have 30 days from today and not date of purchase, which is great, in order to find another chest with credit with the one we originally purchased. Great service!

I had ordered something back in Nov and it was cheap and then was able to change it out for something in Dec. I was told it would be in by the middle of February and then I had to check back myself and was told it was April then May and then July. So I canceled that and now I am waiting on part of my new order was told I would get it some time in June. We will see. I will never shop here again. They even charged me to deliver the new stuff I am still waiting on

We purchased furniture from The Great American Homestore for the second time. We had the best salesperson this time, John Robinson, who made our purchase a wonderful experience. Mr. Robinson did not pressure us into making a purchase or follow us around the store. I will be shopping with TGAH again and referring you guys to our family and friends! TGAH has unbeatable deals and something for every budget!

I will always use The Great American Home Store for my furniture needs as they are the only store that have my taste in traditional decor.
Allen was my salesman and he was exceptionally patient with me as I came in several times to be sure and measure. I let him know of my circumstances and he was more than accommodating. Made my visits to the store personal and welcoming. I have several people wanting to shop the store after sharing on Social media.

Great American home store is awesome! A beautiful selection of different kinds of furniture. I buy from G/A only, one reason is because it’s great quality and not to pricey… Another reason is you dnt have to worry about seeing your furniture in every other house in the city! I hate they discontinued my kitchen table set before I could buy the entire set… Other than that I wouldn’t shop anywhere else unless I was having something custom made!!!!!!!!!

The Great American home store has lots of good furniture the staff seems to be courteous I only had one problem with thinking I was getting new furniture versus a floor model The Manager and the Owner Mr. Ron took care of me but before that a Very Nice Lady named Denise C.Tansil that's in sales made me look at in a way that worked best for me that's the only reason i didn't give them 5 stars

Kevin Smith was great! I knew what I came to buy, a small sofa with chaise after seeing it online. Located it by front door and it sat firm, just like I prefer, and it was comfortable and long enough to take a nap or put an overnight guest. Best of all, it was in stock and delivered just 4 days later. Score!! Delivery drivers came early, were friendly and careful. Overall, a great experience. Had sofa for a week and love it!! Thank you!

Best selection of recliners we have seen in Memphis. With a little help from Allen Dawson and zero pressure, we bought a pair after trying out several in the showroom. When we got them home, we realized they were much firmer than the one in the show room, and we feel it was not just a matter of the demo model being “broken in.” Possibly the manufacturer changed foam due to supply issues, but that is just a guess. The store accepted the chairs we returned in the original boxes the next day. We picked out a different model and asked we could try one before leaving the warehouse. That was allowed, it sat just like the demo model, and we took them home.
We also bought three other pieces, including a love seat with a center console. After the delivery men left, we noticed the center of the back was loose and sagging. It turned out the internal nut for a screw fastener had fallen inside a wooden box, so the piece could not be secured in place. I brought it to the warehouse. At the door, a couple of young fellows seemed to be on break, but one of them (did not get his name, but he was a tall, lanky, dark complected man) stepped right over and asked if he could help. I explained the problem, he took the piece and said I could wait in the car while a technician fixed it. A few minutes later, he returned with it, and explained that to avoid damaging the piece, they left the nut inside the box, which I agreed was best.
Everyone I spoke with at the store was friendly, helpful and professional. I have already recommended the Great American Home Store and expect we will be back in the future.

In 2014 I purchased a lot of furniture from GAH. I once again need a whole house of furniture so I returned. I purchased a large console and a large sectional couch. Due to the shape of my den, I needed the shorter side (loveseat) to be on the left side. They delivered a couch last Saturday but the short side was on the right so they took it back. I called the store immediately but had to leave a message. No one called me back. I called again Sunday or Monday and was told they had me scheduled for another delivery on Tuesday. I asked and they verified that the short end of the couch would be on the left. They came Tuesday. I asked them to check to make sure the couch was correct before they unloaded it. They checked and said it was. As they were unloading it, I said it looked like it was a right side short end, they said no. They put it together and it was not correct. The short side was again on the right and does not fit in my den. They tried to tell me that the three cushion side was the loveseat and the two cushion side was the couch...I called the store and was told the same thing. He said the shorter side was the couch and the longer side was the loveseat! It has an extra piece was the reason given. Regardless of the extra piece, a two cushion side, shorter than the three cushion side is always the loveseat! So after three days waisted, I have cancelled my order for both pieces and I will not be returning to GAH for any furniture now or in the future.

It took longer than originally quoted for me to get my furniture. And when everything was finally in and I got the call to come and make my final payment when I went to pick up my items I was informed that they forgot to get my ottoman and that I would have to make a 2nd trip to pick that up when it was ready. I asked for a courtesy delivery for this inconvenience and was declined. I had to leave for a scheduled vacation and while I was gone I received a call from the store asking when I was going to get the ottoman and stated they had another customer who needed the ottoman and wanted to sell mine to them…are you kidding me with this!!! I still have to make a 2nd inconvenient trip to the store to get my ottoman

I had the best experience with TGAHS. The sales associate was friendly and professional (Dr. Phil). The finance guy Casey was professional and efficient.
The delivery was smooth, they g6ys were friendly and they handled everything with the best care.
This has by fr been one of the BEST retail experiences I've ever had.
I will definitely refer others and purchase with TGAHS again!

Our sales person was extremely helpful in fulfilling my needs. He and the staff kept me informed during our wait times for the recliners and the couch. The delivery staff were excellent. I would have given you a 5 if I didn't have to wait so long. I understand that you cannot help the shipping issues so I am changing my rating to a 5. The furniture is better than I expected. I am happy with my experience!

I purchased a sectional from you guys last week. My salesman, Larry, has no filter and I have not figured out how he is a salesman there. I had my father meet the delivery guys to let them in my house. When I got home, my sectional was not even connected. The pieces were just set next to one another rather than being hitched together as they should be. I am a single mom with a little girl. I had to get someone to come over and help me attach the pieces. My sectional is big and not easy for one person to connect. On a positive note, the inventory was nice and the cleaning lady was very friendly and nice.

We had a great experience at Great American Homestore. We were welcomed by one of the staff, and then she gave us plenty of space to look around and just checked on us once in a while. When we made our selection, she was so helpful and we were finished quickly. Our furniture came in even before the expected date, and we are very happy with our purchase!
