I have an elderly tenant that we purchased a fridge for. The day before the delivery I was told that the fridge would arrive between 7am and 10am. I personally sat outside from 6:45am until 9am and no home depo truck ever came into my development, I was told by dispatch that they had left a note on my door which was a lie because I was outside since 6:45am. I then found out later upon rescheduling that the driver wen to the wrong address. Once the fridge was finally delivered, they were unable to install I was informed I would need a plumber and that they would come back to install it. I was able to install the fridge however I needed to schedule a pickup for the old fridge. The day the driver was supposed to pick up the fridge I spoke to him personally and because of the earlier fiasco with the fridge delivery I recorded our conversation, I explained to him that the unit is on the second floor I gave the unit number not once but twice cause again my tenant is elderly. The driver informed me that he was 10mins away. I let my tenant know and because of the earlier incident she went outside herself to wait. The driver drove passed her and did not stop. Of course, due to the holiday I was away and did not get the message until this morning. Upon calling to find out why the fridge was not picked up I was told that the driver spoke to someone and told them due to the rain that it couldn't be picked up. That again is a lie I recorded our conversation, and no rain was mentioned he informed he was 10mins away and my elderly tenant was outside waiting and drove pass her. Now they are telling me that my tenant must have this fridge in her home another week because of your guys not wanting to do their job. I am beyond frustrated, is this how home depo treats their paying customers and elderly customers? I will be giving a bad review on your services and defiantly not be recommended your delivery services to anyone. I have the conversation recorded how dare they lie!!!!!
Terrible awful customer service experience.
Called customer support cause my newly delivered fridge had a problem with a door not closing properly. The lady that answered was Amy (I will never forget her name) so so rude and zarkastic.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I will never ever again buy a mayor appliance through Home depot. Sorry for those who have to deal with this lady named Amy and has been working for Home Depot for 5 years. That's what she screamed at my during the conversation. It was so so terrible she was being rude to the LG rep that was on the line with us. When he proved her wrong I guess she was so embarrassed she hung up and left me alone on the call with LG. That was the best time of an hour long call. From there on everything was smooth.
All I can say is me and my family will never again why appliances at home depot.
This is a bit long, but I’m hoping you please read all of it. I’ve been waiting on the finish of my renovations to post this for the end result.
I started a kitchen renovation last October. Worked with a designer from Home Depot. She was difficult from day one, and at times rude. Annoyed at any of my changes. I thought that was the idea of a designer, was to help you get the right fit for your space and needs. Unfortunately, lowes could not do the things I needed in their mid line cupboards. Was promised my custom order cabinets from Home Depot for the last week of November. Enio took the week of December 12th off to allow for a couple week delay. Cupboards did not show up. When I started to press the designer in December about the delivery, she would not take my calls or answer my emails. I find out the first week of January that she retired December 31st. I guess the reason of her lack of enthusiasm for my order.
As the order showed up January 14th, it was clear there were issues from the moment we opened them.
As we started installing, drawers were breaking, doors were falling apart, there was damage to several pieces and somehow the sink cabinet was water damaged??
Worse, the island was completely the wrong color and there were many wrong cabinets.
The designer missed the measurements. The window wall was short space by 9” for the cabinets. The over range cabinets allowed only 19” of space to the range hood. Code is 30”. My 48” gas range is in her pictures.
The pantry wall had 3 sets, to be 24” deep, one of the uppers was only 12” deep. I guess to attach to thin air?? The designer sold me $400 worth of soft close hinges as she said my order did not come with them, but they did. She should know her product. The pantry wall was 5 1/4” from the ceiling when the rest of the cabinets are 4 1/4”. Leaving issues with the crown moulding. The island is a very, very dark grey, nearly black which was to be light grey for a mild contrast to the white cabinets. The fridge upper and panels are so tight , you can hardly fit the fridge. Etc, etc, etc.
As I obviously made complaints to Home Depot immediately. I was given what they call a resolution specialist. This person promised everything fixed. By this point I have been living with no workable kitchen for 3 months. 7 people. The specialist took longer and longer to get back to me, each time promising answers by the end of day. One of his emails, tells me that he has such serious problems far greater than mine that I was not a priority. He said things as gas and roof leaks. SCARY TO THINK OF BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS! It took until march for the order to go back to the cabinet maker for correct cabinets. Then several more weeks to get the doors replaced. I canceled their counter people as I would never use Home Depot again. My deposit for the counter I’m told is at the Woodstock location as a store credit and I can go drive and pick it up. Originally, I was told to consider it a service fee?
I was promised compensation for all the trouble and the wrong island colour.
At the end of all of this ridiculous situation, my resolution was NOTHING. The BBB tried to resolve things but we were unsuccessful. Home Depot’s answer is they gave me $2,800 is extra cabinets. The cupboards I got were the replacement ones that were wrong and damaged. One of the replacement cabinets fell apart as we were placing it up. Their holes, fasteners etc. we had to L bracket to reinforce and create completely new screw holes, glue it and more. They sent no fasteners for any of the new drawer fronts. Most of the replacement doors are mitred very poorly.
This was to be a very exciting project and beautiful custom kitchen for me. It has been completely ruined by this company. I’m my eyes a horrible, horrible rude, lying company. I urge anyone who needs goods like what the Home Depot Carrie’s that you find another store. I WILL NEVER, EVER USE HOME DEPOT FOR ANYTHING AGAIN.
As there are still unresolved problems that they do not want to address, I have had to hire a lawyer .
Used the contractor service for a new roof.Thought Home Depot would keep me protected from a shady contractor. I had a roof done. They went right over rotten wood busted some wood didnt replace it.Had a dip in roof from rotton wood.Still have the dip.Had to leave for dentist. My neighbors watched them load up a bunch of extra shingles The porch he busted up the old steps just left them under there. You can see.Was suppose to redo the whole porch. You can see the small section. No credit given.Neighbor said atleast to packs. This was Garrco Home improvements from Louisiana. The roof I was charged Just short of 18,000.00 and 4000.00 was the price for the porch. You can't even get home depot to call you.Moral to my story.Dont think for one minute Home depot will make it right. They won't even call you.Tammie Luedeman [email protected]
I don't like to give bad reviews, but....it seems everyone has had similar experience with home depot's delivery service. If you can even call it service. The delivery for our washer and dryer has been delayed three times. The first time, the driver cancelled because his wife supposedly went into labor, which was annoying but understandable. Then the second time, it was rescheduled. Third time, they said their truck could not make it down the driveway because of the bushes, except every other delivery truck somehow makes it down without an issue. Why couldn't they just drop it at the top of the driveway or wheel it down? Now they are saying they will deliver it next week. It has me thinking the only bush that is really a problem is the one they are beating around - it makes me think this is a scam which is surprising because I expected more from Home Depot. Three strikes you are out, we will take our business elsewhere. Don't buy from this unreliable company unless you want to be disappointed and wash your clothes in the bathtub for weeks waiting for a simple washer and dryer to be delivered. Very disappointing experience.
My complaint is regarding the service, OR LACK OF SERVICE, provided by kitchen designers at the NORTH London store in London. I had an appointment May 4, 2022 to get quotes to design cabinets with Silestone Calacutta gold. I wanted estimates with Different colours of Maple Shaker cabinets. The designer said she would work on it and email me quotes. After a couple of weeks, I returned asking for quotes. She was frazzled and said she was really BUSY and didn't have time. I had her pull my file and make a change to one dimension. She assured me that she would work on it. A couple more weeks pass, I asked for another appointment so they had to make the time for this project. The designer present said that I should wait for my designer to return.. She assured me that she would discuss with her and if she didn't have time, she would work on it and get back to me. FAST FORWARD, to NOW. NO CONTACT. I complained , I wanted the same counter I ordered from Home Depot so wanted them to quote this project. I had one other quote from independent contractor. They have a 10-14 week wait. Home Depot was "SUPPOSED TO BE " quicker !
When I called the store to complain and get a quote JUST for. the countertop since I loved Stoneworx, their subcontractor, the designer was QUITE RUDE to me. HE SAID THEY WERE MONTHS BEHIND WORKING ON OTHER PROJECTS. I said, well I had a consult almost 2 months ago with all kinds of assurances and NO followup. IF YOU DON'T WANT MY BUSINESS, SAY IT SO I CAN MOVE FORWARD!!!!!!
I think it is important that SUBCONTRACTORS, are aware that they are turning away potential business.
Home Depot ITSELF, offers great warranties and is big box so a customer can be assured accountability. UNFORTUNATELY, your experience and ability to get service is solely dependant on the staff. I tried to call HEAD OFFICE to have them quote me. They just forwarded me to the same staff!!!
NO ACCOUNTABILITY , So WHY would they CHANGE.
Buyer Beware,
Gina I
I bought a Rheem 60gal gas water-heater from home-depot web and spend $800.00 to have it installed on June 22, 2022. The water-heater not working properly, it stop every 20 seconds. I called home-depot immediately, they noted down everything and said will call me back. I did not get any answer until the next day, I called them again after 4 hours hanging, waiting and transfering from one person to another they gave me 2 options
1, Return the product to home-depot store and order anther one.
2, Find someone to repair it myself.
I asked them if I return the water-heater and buy a new one I have to spend another $800.00 to install it, who will pay it? The supervisor said will answer me next day. Then, they send a email told me they can not assist me for this matter. They give me a phone number of Rheem, ask me to contact with them.
I called Rheem, a lady named Cristina talked to me rude and impatiently, I want to talk to her supervisor, she said she is the supervisor. The problem did not resolved but caused me very angry.
So, DO NOT BUY RHEEM WATER-HEATER FROM HOME-DEPOT!
Today I visited Home Depot - Rick Case Way, I made several purchases and was checkout by an attendant. After I paid with my credit card and proceed to leave the store, I turned back and noticed that the attendant was printing a duplicate receipt of my purchase. I asked her if that is my receipt and she stated, "Yes". I then asked why are you printing my receipt, she stated, "for her own reason" She then proceed to call her lead attendant, who stated the same. This did not make much sense to me so I requested a manager for further explanation. The manager, Chris came and I explained to him what had happened. He then told me in his, "that is weird". He then went and spoke to the attendant and the lead attendant, and then came back to tell me that they print customer receipts sometimes for tracking. I stated, that this is not supposed to happen without my knowledge, as my information is on that receipt. I asked repeatedly to verify the receipt that was pulled by the attendant and placed in her coat pocket, but they refused to show it to me. I called the police and waited but they took a while to show for quite a long time, so I had to leave. What HomeDepot did here is not normal and should be investigated!!.
Wish I could give them 0 stars. Several years ago I bought a refrigerator and had it delivered. The day before delivery they said it would be 10 days until they could deliver it. I canceled the purchase and bought elsewhere. This happened again with a dishwasher several months later. We stopped shopping there for years. 2 months ago my washer went out and SAME EXACT PROBLEM WITH DELIVERY! This time I was told the washer I bought TEN DAYS AGO and paid for was out of stock! What!?!?!?! Canceled order and another box store delivered it the next day. Now my husband wanted a specific toolbox only sold at Home Depot. I bought it and scheduled delivery for his birthday. I was guaranteed delivery because unlike appliances, the toolboxes come directly from the store. Last night I get a text and email the delivery was rescheduled for TWO WEEKS OUT! This was the last straw. I will never step foot in a Home Depot ever again!
I have a pro account with Home Depot and buy online for pickup and, eventually, delivery often. More often than not something goes wrong. Pickup orders are often not completed timely or they are mishandled (wrong items).
This time I ordered online a silicone chalk package of four (at least, that is what it shows at their website, first page). Also, the price seems adequate for a package of four bottles. They delivered just one bottle and claims that somewhere in the description there was a mention that it was just one bottle, WHICH I STILL CAN'T FIND. Why then they have a package of four ON THE FIRST PAGE?
This was serviced by the Newark, NJ store. Which is, by far, the worse store that I have the displeasure of dealing with. My contractors, often, refuse online order items that are rotten or damage, and they find items in my online orders that were missing by their service department.
I had to spend 1.5 hours to get a $14 item refunded but without any admission that their page was misleading.
As you can imagine, this money does not make a dent on my budget. The time that I spent is just for the aggravation of their irresponsibility and bad customer services.
Compare that to how Amazon deals with these problems. All we have to do is to provide a brief explanation of why/how the webpage description was misleading and they will come to your door in the next day to pick up the item, and the return may happen a couple of days later.
The bigger market share Amazon gets the happier I am. Can’t wait for the day when they will put Home-Depot in its place as one of the worse businesses to deal with.
By the way, I am a software architect with more than 4 decades of experience that only works for Fortune 500 companies. I would like to think that i know exactly what a misleading website looks like.
ordered a dishwasher making sure it was stock as we all know the delays we are facing post pandemic. The delivery wasn't done the scheduled date because apparently, there was a glitch creating the delivery request... Happens. The following Tuesday, I get a call from the delivery company saying their truck broke down so they can't deliver. I don't believe that at all but at this point, let's reschedule for Saturday. Got a call at 7 am saying they can't deliver because LG hasn't sent the dishwasher to them. ;-(. want to cancel at this point because they don't deserve my money. I needed to do that on the phone with a lady who had to authorize it AND the I HAD to go back to Home Depot so the people there can CALL back Customer service and wait for 30 minutes so they could get me my money back. THEIR WHOLE SYSTEM IS RIGGED. no human talking to another, no one in charge, no one with a real solution. I will NEVER buy ANYTHING from them ever and I am remodeling my bathroom and Kitchen.
Purchased carpet 2017 for light traffic upper floor with 25 year Texture warranty. After 4 years carpet and underpad are completely worn out as stated by their own carpet installer. No cushion left in underpad and crunches when you walk on it. Instead of offering to replace carpet they intentionally worked to void the warranty, going so far as to fabricate a story that my renters must have damaged and replaced 2 small carpet patches ~ 4” X 2’ in both bedroom doorways (patches part of the original install) had been replaced by my renters. Their proof, the tape on the back of the carpet wasn’t what they expected. Seriously?? Seamed patches weren’t noticeable until they lifted my carpet. If it wasn’t noticeable then the carpet had been equally worn and not noticeably newer. Chances of someone damaging that small bit of carpet in both doorways and nowhere else it highly unlikely. Also pulled up carpet on one stair leaving a staple for someone to step on. Horrible experience, I wouldn’t recommend buying any flooring from Home Depot.
I placed order over phone on 5/26/2022 at The Kannapolis NC Home Depot Store! I was Very pleased with the Customer Service that was provided to me by the Employee who took and received order..Very Polite and Friendly.. Knowledgeable about materials and prices. Went beyond just receiving call and taking order, Employee made sure that I had everything that I needed for My Vinyl Privacy Fence Project. The Employee also showed Me more Good Customer Service and Care by providing me a call back to let me know of My orders progress and when it would be ready for pickup!

Y'all Rock Home Depot!!
Home Depot at Miramar, Haileah and Pembroke Pines do not want to help the customers find materials. Customer Service representative at the Pines store was unprofessional, rude, and lacked the necessary knowledge to be proactive. I was searching for Veranda vinyl fence panels. Multiple stores showed in the system they had many, yet they kept telling me all they had was what was on display. Lumber personal were dismissive and had the isles messy with large materials all over the floors causing safety hazards. Finally after getting the manager at the Pines store, the panels were found. I had to drive to 3 stores searching because employees were too lazy, disorganized, and careless to bring down the pallets. At the Pines stores they sent me to the university store. That's when I called the manager. They had me driving around south Florida until I called a manager. This person took action and went out back to find the panels. She was the only person there that was attentive and professional. Home Depot is not was it used to be... Very disorganized isles, dangerous with many safety hazards. rude staff, long lines of over an hour at customer service. The company seems like it's going under at rapid speed. Many family and friends have shared similar stories. From now on my store of choice will be Lowe's for building and garden material. Lowe's has organized stores, and knowledgeable staff. At Lowe's walking through their isles will not put your life in danger.
Wow. When you think it couldn't go wrong any further...got a call 8am from installer; they would arrive 12-2pm. Said I'm ready..They finally showed up after 4pm. 3x men..when I opened my gate Two blew past me while the 3rd was texting, walking slow down the driveway. When I asked if he wanted to come in( I have animals) he finally spead up.
The other 2 where already in my house.
When I walked inside he said "gimmy towels "
I asked for what if a blanket or sheet would work?. He looks at me and says " you have additude.. cannot do install " Iasked he pls repeat what he said... I thought I didn't understand him correctly as im from EU...then I opened my gate they left.
I called the install dispatch and was rescheduled after they apologized..I would get 10% if I call beck( never happened)
Now to take another day of work and after their install mess 2 hours of removing grease fingerprints of my new appliances.
I feel not only insulted but it was clearly a waste of my time..I too work. Very poor customer service this guy cl
If I could give a 0 I would. We ordered a Saluspa online. The spa was delivered to our carport without a signature and upon set up within 24 hours, the pump was faulty (leaking from the bottom of the unit). Customer service agreed to the return and looked into replacing just the pump, how we could package it up to take it back and then put us through to another department to process the return. It was at this point that the return team said that this was non-return item (which it is) and the original agent that helped us didn't know what he was saying???? - we also said that the return policy CLEARLY states we were to inspect the items and sign the delivery receipt - there wasn't one! After being escalated to the DASHBOARD Team we were told the same thing. So we are out $800 for a spa that doesn't work. How is this ok?
My wife and I ordered a new GE range with Air Frier and received it on May 7, 2022. Upon delivery the installers place a dryer power cable on the range, one of them took pliers and bent one of the metal lugs so it would fit into the power outlet. He had to beat the plug with his fist to make it go into the outlet. A day later the oven's preset temperatures would not work as described in the manual, only gave 170 Deg. After contacting HD I was told to turn off the breaker and not use the range due to possible fire hazzard. A second cred showed up three days later and install the correct power cord. The installer advised me to request a new range due to possible damage to range from incorrect intallation.
Well today I had to call Home Depot a third time due to their coustomer service people telling me on the second call i would receive a call in 72 hours, then the third call I was told I would get a call in 48 hours advising of delivery. We have spent in the last three months close to $10,000 on appliances and items to remodel our kitchen. am totally over Home Depot, Ive never been lied to and treated like im totally stupid. I will never again purchase one damn item from them. I'll drive 10 miles to Lowes in the future!
A totally pissed off customer!
Last May I got a Home Depot credit card, purchased a dishwasher and paid Home Depot for the install. They sent someone to install it but it was not done properly and it caused the dishwasher to leak to my neighbor below. I had to pay a $1000 deductible to my insurance because damages were about $3500 which doesn't include the time both myself and my poor cat had to live with the horribly loud restoration equipment. My insurance paid the claim but I was still out the deductible and Home Depots insurance basically told me too bad so sad...they can't do anything about it and tried to give me $200 in gift cards to appease me. Issue is I don't have a lot of money. Had to pay $1000 out of my pocket on top of the dishwasher and still have an outstanding bill that arrived late for close to $400 that won't be covered by insurance. I've sent Home depots multiple emails but they don't give a shit. I have to pay $100 to take them to court and I will win but I just don't have the money to do so right now so instead I'm spreading the word to as many people as possible
I would give it a zero star if I could, I placed an order online because It was online exclusive and the estimated delivery date was May 18-20. Because I needed it by the 22nd I based my purchase decision on the provided delivery date otherwise I would have purchased elsewhere for cheaper. Here we are the 18th and it still has not shipped so I contacted customer support via chat. 3 hours to tell me that the expected delivery date is May 26. I asked why they mislead on there website and they say they are only estimates. Well if I go online again, it now say May 20- 22 when they know they can’t get it there until at least May 26th. No pick up option, no expedite option. Nothing! I needed this item here for a specific date for a reason and if I knew it could not have been here I would have not placed my order with them. But I guess that is there whole purpose of giving inaccurate delivery dates they figure I bit pricier but faster delivery so they will bite the Nate. Well this is the last time I bite the bait with them. Do not place an order online if you are basing your decision on their delivery lead time. Customer service is very poor as well.
Home Depot customer service phone system is terrible. I waited one hour to speak to someone!! After waiting four months to receive a new range for our cottage, we were contacted by Samsung who confirmed that the range we ordered had been shipped to Canada Cartage , and should arrive ONE DAY later than the date designated for delivery on the Home Depot tracking site. After waiting one week after the promised date, and the range had still not been received I called Canada Cartage who said they did not even have our range! I called Home Depot again, waited one hour again and was told they did not know where it was or when it would be delivered. Samsung told me that Canada Cartage always has issues with receiving orders & not knowing if an item is at their warehouse. Items sit on trucks and are not processed for days. I was so frustrated that nobody could tell me where my range was that I cancelled my order. Then five days later, Canada Cartage phoned to say they could deliver the order I had cancelled a week earlier!! Nobody at Home Depot had even told them the order had been cancelled. Ridiculous and very disorganized system! So I called Leon's, and had a new range delivered in THREE DAYS! When I called Leon's an associate answered the phone immediately not after an hour like Home Depot! If you call ANY department in a Home Depot store NOBODY ever answers the phone. However, Leon's has excellent customer service. I will NEVER order anything online from Home Depot again. Canada Cartage is going to ruin Home Depots reputation!! Home Depot also needs to hire more people in customer service to deal with high volume of online orders. Nobody should have to wait ONE HOUR to get service.Senior Management needs to read the terrible reviews Home Depot is getting on the internet or they will lose a lot of business. Next time I want something for my home, I will be spending my money at Leons NOT Home Depot!
