TopCashback

I used Hoppa Taxis from the Airport to Berlin city last April. I booked via TOP CASH BACK with the promise of £8.70 back from my return fare of over £40. I am still waiting for it and after countless emails to TCB all TopCashback do is make excuses. Over a year has passed and looking on the site I have another TWO MONTHS to wait before the cash is released. 14 MONTHS to get a paltry amount back. If I ever go back to Berlin I will not use Hoppa or TOP CASH BACK as it looks like I`ll be getting Top Bus Back in future or the Top Train Back and forth. What a joke AVOID THEM PLEASE or they will drive you up to the Top of the Wall and Back.

TopCashback was good, but during the pandemic the company has not been there for me. I kept receiving the same message below on my recent shopping trips ever since the pandemic started as a way to mitigate payout from the company, I suppose. Please note that I do not use any other marketing platforms. However, I will be switching over to Rakuten permenantly since TopCashback always have my back. Although TopCashback offers bigger cashback from time to time, it's not worth it given the lack of customer service and technical deficiencies.

"Having chased the status of your claim with the merchant network it unfortunately appears your claim has returned declined. The reason given to us for the decline is "another marketing channel."

The most common reasons behind this declined resolution is either that TopCashback was not the last referred click when making a transaction, or that a coupon/promotional code was used that was not listed on our site."

I am a relatively new user to TopCashback but have used several other cashback services over the years. I recommend people to steer clear of TopCashback as TopCashback are very unreliable. I got drawn to them as they seem to have been well-reviewed by bloggers and tend to advertise higher cashback amounts. But what's the point of advertising a higher cashback if the transaction has a very high likelihood of getting rejected. The only transactions that "tend" to go through successfully are lower dollar amounts. I haven't had any success with higher value items. Starting to suspect that the reviewers who left positive reviews are getting paid via referral fee thus their incentive to leave a positive review.
When it comes to filing a claim, it is a complete pain. To clarify, easy to file but waiting for a resolution will try your patience. They say on average it takes them 3-months to resolve a claim. Take note that it is an "average" so it can take longer (most likely will). Getting any updates from them is a pain as they tend to use a template response. 100% of the claims I filed with them have been rejected due to the retailer having no record of the transaction. Despite TopCashback's site recognizing the click-thru via my history and me providing evidence of the transaction (order confirmation/receipt). Seems their strategy is to wear you down and hopefully you forget about your claim or give up.
The only thing positive about them is that customer service tends to respond within 24-hours. But the lack of any useful information in their response negates the experience. Eventually, when they reject the claim, the fault lies with the user. They don't appear to have any clout with their retail partners to escalate the issue. They will never do what is right for the customer.
Save yourself the headache. Avoid at all cost.

Many people may have been angered by the HBO Max debacle with TCB. I appreciate that even though it took several months while TCB sorted the mess out, TopCashback were in communication with those of us affected. I appreciate that even when HBO decided not to pay out or when something got messed up, that TCB stood by what happened and did right by their customers even when it cost them their own money. Customer service, honesty, and accountability this great is a rarity these days. I would definitely recommend TCB and plan to keep using them myself.

I can't even begin to put into words all the feels that Top Cash Back gives me! I love to shop, but I love a good deal. And, it's always a good deal when you're getting cash back! And, Top Cash Back pays the most, seriously. Look it up. Plus, the treats games are a lot of fun, and it helps bring the community of users together on social media to help one another find extra treats! Which is something I have yet to see another site of it's kind offer! And, with super quick payouts, there's none above them! That's why TopCashback call it Top Cash Back! This site is legit!

I've been using cash back referral sites for the past five years, and Top Cash Back is my favorite. Most of the time, TCB offers the highest rates of return on purchases than do other programs, and TopCashback have the largest list of vendors. This past year, I inquired about a completed purchase that was declined, and I was eventually rewarded the cash back amount when I went through TBC's process for challenging the initially declined purchase. (I was very happy, as the temporarily improved offer figured significantly in my purchase, so I was glad to eventually get that financial incentive. I know from personal experience that the system of inquiry works for declined but legitimate purchases, and so I am willing to be more loyal to TCB, even if other cash back sites offer a higher percentage as an incentive. I know that the company provided what they promise.

Not sure why but after using cashback websites for a few years, TopCashback is the only one that continues to make it difficult when it comes to paying back. As a new user, the TopCashback was normal just like any other website, however, after almost a year of using them, there is always some sort of problem when it comes to claiming missing cash or transactions. Its always either the vendor is not paying or the user did something incorrect. Interesting enough though, TopCashback are the only company I continue to have problems with. After my first problem claiming cash, I have made sure to use a completely new page, cookies cleared, etc before clicking the icon on their website, so the odds of it being a problem on my end are very small. Made a similar purchase a few months ago through a different cashback app with the same vendor and they paid out with no problem. At this point, I have no intentions of using them again, regardless of what percentage they offer on cashback, since there is a high possibility, you won't receive anything anyways

Ive used click through referral purchase websites for over 10 years. About a year ago I was lured into the TCB site by all the claims if higher % payouts on purchases when compared to other sites I've used. Often these payout rates were 2 to 3 times higher, or claimed fewer restrictions than competition.
For a year I made small purchases and found the rate to be accurate. Earning a total of $100 CB. Based on that I made a very large purchase clicking through the site. The rate was higher than competition (as typical) and I completed every step to verify my claim through TCB was valid. Cookies cleared. Browser filters turned off. Item placed in cart after clicking through. Never clicked through any other site. I even immediately noted transaction following purchase. The only thing I did do was video screen grab entire process. The CB was for $42+ so I very careful. After purchase the site even registered the click 3 min prior to my purchase so it appeared the system was working. As per T&C the pending process can take some time. After 1 month I opened a CS claim to investigate the issue about a month later I was told vender reported transaction was made going through another CB site. This was impossible. After several emails back an forth it was determined that either TCB was lying about the status of my claim OR vendor was (Expedia.com). Either way TCB had no interest in getting additional details or providing them - and I wasn't getting my money.
Long story shirt. Don't trust those great CB rates - my experience proves TopCashback WON'T go to bat for you when their is a descrepency and you have proof. If they offer 6% back and a competitor offers 4% consider the fact the real rate might be 0% when your claim is denied. I'd highly recommend their competition: ebates.com, MrRebates.com, DollarDig.com. In my experience the CB rates are lower but CS and claim accuracy is much higher. When I've had issues they were quick to investigate and explain situation completely.
I gave TCB every possible avenue to rectify this in any possible way - still they have no interest which is a shame. You might say I've had a yr of good transactions and only one bad one, but that one was for almost half $ value of the others. If a site can't be trusted for the large purchases then it's only a matter of time they won't be able to be trusted for the small purchases - ones you won't spend much effort getting resolved.
Before you use their service consider my experiences... You've been warned!

This site used to work and my husband did get his money back in day. I decided to start a new account and I made a huge $7,000 purchase with a store offering 15%. The store honored it and gave me the cashback, and I went to get paid. Topcashback said it needed 3 days to send me the payment. 2 weeks later, nothing. I ask them wtf? TopCashback say they need proof that I actually made that transaction (they had already approved the transaction and allowed me to cash out). Took them a week of emails, then they casually and without explanation tell me that they have cancelled my payout request and that I should start it again. I go to my account and there is only $100 there, instead of $1000. If I am not paid my money, I am going to file a lawsuit.

I am part of one of the most wonderful coupon sites one cute couponer. Com. Erica the most wonderful honest Mighty woman of God. Her and her family run this site. The OCC games works very hard night and day to give us this day and save us money. Topcashback contacted one cute couponer and ask her to offer us spend $20 get 40 back. TopCashback are now refusing to honor their promotion and had the audacity to say that we misunderstood their promotion. We have seen the email they sent with the promotion being offered. They basically ended up saying that they got so much business that they cannot afford to pay out the promotion offer that they offered. So instead of owning that they're trying to blame the users and say we misunderstood their offer. I will no longer do any business with top cast Mac I do not trust them I also hear the people are having trouble using the Visa card that they pay you with I'm also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau

As an regular shopper on aliexpress i had a cart full of items i already have picked out. I heard about top cash back and was checking it out and saw aliexpress on there and clicked. It then opened my app and i went to my cart just looking. A lot of the items more than doubled in price. A $20 purse went to $46, $10 shirts went to $20. So I closed the browser and app. Then reopened the app like normal and prices were lower again. I tried this a few times and same thing. TopCashback are making a huge profit scamming people on prices just on that one site. So I can imagine it is the same on other sites. I wouldn't bother with this app for that reason. If you use this make sure you research your prices before clicking thru their site, I have a feeling they jack up the prices on all sites.

This site is a joke. You will NOT get paid, don't be fooled by their high cash back rebates. You will not get it. TopCashback cost me a lot of money. I have used Ebates and Mr. Rebates for 9 years now. I signed up for TopCashBack because they advertised higher cash Back rates than anywhere else. There is a reason for that, they keep it all. I know how to use Cash back sites and used TopCashBack the same as always. It's pretty simple but they make it harder than it has to be. Well over half, probably 75% of my Rebates were not given to me. I made about 20 transactions and maybe got 5 of them, all for small amounts. I make so many purchases online and I don't have time to babysit these kind of websites. I opened up claims to get my cashback but there was always some excuse not to pay me. It's not worth my time to get all the required info to PROVE my rebate. I shouldn't have to prove anything, your website should work as intended. I rarely if ever have issues with Ebates or Mr. Rebates so I'm sticking with them. Please don't believe any positive reviews you read about topcashback because there is no way they are real reviews. Trust me it is not worth your time or lost money to hopefully get a few extra % back. I closed my account with them. Hopefully someone shuts them down or starts a class action lawsuit against them because they deserve it and I will be the first one to sign up for the lawsuit.

Don't waste your time. TopCashback won't pay out the cash back... especially if its high. They will give you ever excuse in the book and even if you follow everything to a "T" they will end it with the vendor didn't approve the purchase. Well i called the vendor and they said they have no clue who top cash back is and that they don't approve of any non sense like that. They do know who ebates/rakuten is and they were fine with them. List of excuses by toipcashback to not approve cash back:

You used a coupon code.
You missed clicked
The purchase wasn't your last click
You weren't signed in when you made the purchase
Birds were flying in the sky
A kitty cat named sam said No.
The vendor ultimately didn't approve the purchase.

Undoubtedly, the cashback is higher than the other websites [except some stores.] The earnings from referral and signup are also great. I had referral signup from one of the sites, I had whopping 25$ as a signup bonus. And though there is no minimum threshold for the payout, you have to wait as long as 4-5 months for your earnings to be confirmed and payable, and that s*cks.

Pros:
1. High CB
2. Multiple payout options
3. No payout threshold

Cons:
1. Have to wait as long as 4-5 months for earnings to be payable
2. Minimum 10$ in CB for the referral bonus to be confirmed.

This company will wait for you to build up a few hundred dollars and then all of a sudden block your account saying illegitimate transactions. I had $2000 worth of cash back waiting to be cashed out. TopCashback asked me for my State issued ID and invoices, which I did submit, but still they wont allow me access to my account. STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES, there are better options available please do not waste your money here thinking they would give you hundreds of dollars in cash back. They will definitely get paid for those cashback and guess what? All that cashback earned from my money will go into their bank accounts.

Three months ago Rick Broida (Cheapskate) recommended TopCashBack. So, I joined, and carefully went through the process to get $20 back. I purchase ink from Best Buy, being careful to go through Cashback first, as specified.

Well, it is three months later, and not only did I not get $20, this possibly fraudulent company does not even show my having made that purchase!

TopCashBack needs to change its name to NoCashBack.

Per other respondents, I filed a ticket with TopCashBack and I actually did get my $20 after all. So, I am elevating my score from one star to two stars. I was tempted to go to three stars, but a company that can't even get your first cashback claim should still be in the spotlight until it either straightens out or goes out of busines.

As I write this review I have 14 cashbacks that are still pending or confirmed. Four of them are from July, which is now 4 months after TopCashback were recorded, and one of them is actually a TCB promotion of $5. From here, I have 5 in September, and 5 from October. I have contacted customer service more than once and they always reply back with a generic response that it takes 3-4 weeks. They don't even bother to read the reason for me contacting them, and that my cashbacks are still pending for 4 months now!

Their high cashback percentages are not worth it. Use the other 3 popular sites as they are more on top of their game!

This site promises cashback on each purchase. It mysteriously "didnt track" SIX purchases in a row however suggested that I'd mistakenly forgotten to use the app. Six times? I hardly think so. Then you have stores who will put up "20% cashback", matalan being a perfect example. Promised 30% last month. So I did Christmas shopping. This evening TopCashback decided to decline it, which they are allowed to do. Use a different site, this one is a total scam. As you can see Disney also does the same. Their customer service is horrendous too.

Did 3 big transactions with aliexpress and banggood over a 3 months span and during that time, all my items were shipped more than a month and each time I contacted them, TopCashback would say the following:

"We do everything we can to help our members get the cashback on their purchases however I'm afraid that there is little more we are able to do for AliExpress purchases since they aren't accepting our missing cashback claims."

If you know these retailers like aliexpress and banggood cannot accept your missing cashback claims, then why have them as a partner, to begin with. All 3 answers were identical as if a bot is answering these or customer services have canned responses to just copy and paste to customers.

I will completely stupid enough to think that their site offering much higher cashback compared to others like rakuten etc... Now I know why they do that, it's all pure deceiving and unethical practices, not sure why they are still in business.

P. S: All their positive reviews are bought and are probably fake, please don't be fooled as I did.

I have been using TopCashback for over 3 years and earned over $300 cashback. With any cashback site, there are always issues occasionally with purchases not tracking (due to ad blockers, issues with the merchant website, I don't know...) I've used a variety of different cashback sites but TopCashback stands out with their customer service doing the right thing and making issues right by their customer. I had a large purchase that did not track due to and issue with the merchant and TopCashback covered the amount out of their own pocket. I will be using TopCashback for years to come.
