Turing has a working environment that is diverse in culture. Working at this company, I've encountered supportive co-workers.
I don't have to struggle anymore with the traffic or login at a specific time. I don't have to worry about relocating to a new place for work. Somehow it has erased all the hassles.
Till now the job has been great, I've learned various new things in terms of my work and I don't even need to worry about taking a vacation because sometimes it's more or less like the blend of both.
For me, it's a great place. It has a good working environment and surplus career growth opportunities. I hope my Turing review gives you an idea of how it will be to work in the company.
Remote work at Turing has given me the freedom to work in flexible working hours and I don't have to travel to work anymore.
If you're looking for a fast-paced organization where innovation is the key and a diverse work culture, then I believe Turing can be the perfect place for you.
The projects at Turing are way more exciting than what you might find locally. Also, while in Argentina the debate is still around whether the job posts should include gender, the roles include doing more paperwork, and the career options are more restricted, at Turing the debate is around where we can innovate. Turing promotes horizontality, so feel free to ask, to suggest, to give feedback. If you come from an old-school company, don't be afraid to change your mindset. Know that hierarchy is not what matters most, but innovation.
I'm a Content Writer at Turing.com and my work involves writing blogs and creating developer and customer-specific content for their website.
Non-remote jobs come with a bevy of constraints such as:
Endless commute
Traffic issues
Expensive commute
Unnecessary stress etc.
Since Turing operates remotely, you don't have to encounter such problems. It comes with all the remote work benefits like flexible working hours, 100% remote work, and the freedom to work at a time that suits you best.
What's even better is that you have the liberty to work with a super-talented global team from the comfort of your home. People at Turing are pretty warm and supportive, and I really enjoy working with them.
Some tips for people applying to Turing Jobs.
Analyze the assessment test patiently
Familiarize yourself with the basics of American English
Be proactive in the interview and ask questions to understand Turing better
Do your homework thoroughly on Turing website and social media handles
Hope you like my Turing review!
It follows up with a link to confirm an account they already created for me and supposedly they help me find a job. Only a crappy company would do that. Very bad marketing. I asked them to unsubscribe me but I got another email just like that today. I asked them to unsubscribe me. They responded quickly and said they will but time will tell.
I manage the day-to-day operations and processes of the Talent Engagement Team and setting up the support processes.
What I love about working at Turing is the possibility of managing time well according to the amount of work and private obligations. I've found that the company also provides a much clearer career path and better opportunities that I would find locally.
To apply for Turing jobs, prepare well, show commitment, and polish your communication skills.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of a regular job. In my previous workplace, I was always traveling and doing most of my work remotely. I believe traveling teaches you a lot, and if you can somehow find a perfect mix of both work and travel at the one time, that's a heavenly match!
I wasn't very sure about Turing initially. I only explored their website, followed their social media handles, and read some positive as well as not-so-positive reviews about the company. But like Turing.com say, never judge a book by its cover. And that's what I did! I followed my intuition and now I'm working with the most amazing people across the globe.
The best thing about working at the Turing company is that people here appreciate your work. Even if you make some mistakes, they're always there to help you out, so you never feel left out.
So far, I'm enjoying working at Turing. I'm part of one of the most critical teams of the organization i. E. content team. I have the coolest mentors who never lose their calm. They have been guiding me through the process and getting me familiar with all the dos and don'ts.
Also now I don't have to encounter unnecessary stress, or bear futile traveling expenses, and don't have to expose myself to pollution as well.
- No doubt Turing is a startup and it operates as one, so you'll have enough startup challenges here
- The values, principles, and ethics shared by the leaders trickle down across the entire organization, and they motivate you to take purposeful action at every step
- Remote work has given me the freedom to start my day whenever I want
- I can travel and work at the same time
- People are fun at Turing
- Best mentors you'll ever find. Cool, calm, and hard-working!
Most jobs in my country are remote but low income job. And most high income jobs in my country is non-remote jobs. But Turing solved all of these problems for a guy who wants to have a high income job but still can work remotely like me.
I have found my Turing job super fulfilling. I had a chance to build a product from scratch with my current Turing client. It's one of the best experience I've ever had because we built something when it still discussed on paper to when this product was funded millions of dollar.
The time management and communication with a client in remote work can be a bit difficult at first but if you feel confident about your programming skills and you think you're good enough and deserve more income than your current job, don't be afraid to practice some soft skills and apply.
Apart from Data Science, I've recently started focussing on the sales funnel with occasional insights and analyses for the supply ops.
As far as my Turing review is concerned, I enjoy the diversified, startuppy environment at Turing, apart from all the fast learning opportunities. However, my main driving force is remote work. I even worked for 6 months remotely before joining Turing. I find myself very much compatible with a remote and flexible working environment.
The city which I come from has a major traffic problem. During office hours, the traffic situation gets even worse. With the hot whether, it becomes really hard to commute in summer times.
Although, there's no shortage of regular jobs here, finding jobs in the Data Science sectors is not an easy thing. As I am a Data Scientist, I hardly find any options here tho the situation might be different for devs working in other areas.
In my country, the daily commute and the travel expenses that come with it are always a problem, if you're working a non-remote job. You also get limited time for personal or family matters. This is no longer a problem for me now. Turing's remote working culture has given me a great opportunity to focus on personal development which lacked in an orthodox work from the office set up. But what really makes Turing a better company are its enthusiastic people, who are always available to assist/help their peers
