My daughter bought a baby iguana blue axanthic... it is HUGE, very mean, aggressive and has turned black despite the nearly 400 have spent on supplies and terrarium. My daughter is autistic and did research and studied how to be a good iguana owner and now cries daily bc for 2 weeks she cant touch it or even put her hand in to feed him. I'm sure he is 2-3 years old and was either never handled or was wild caught. I emailed them and Underground Reptiles asked for pic of his habitat and temp. His habitat and temp r perfectly fine, it's the fact that he is huge and hasnt been handled that has made him mean and a huge disappointment for us all. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE bc although they respond with the are happy to assist, they cant assist bc they dont have a clue

I was very skeptical about ordering an animal from online to have it shipped to my house, but everything turned out well as far as the animal being shipped and the weather conditions being at the right temperatures because that was my biggest fear and I just didn't want to have my animal arrive dead even though Underground Reptiles have a guarantee of life. When she arrived she was healthy and still active so I am very pleased with the service that was provided and the representatives that helped me out were very knowledgeable and insured me that my pet would arrive safely for my son he is extremely happy and very satisfied with the purchase thanks again greatly appreciate it.

I have had my baby black and white Argentine tegu for about 2-3 weeks and she is darling. I was skeptical about ordering because I am up in Alaska, but the shipping was quick and she came happy and healthy. She has been sweet since day one! She loves to cuddle and always has to be on the bed wrapped in blankets. She is definitely a dog in lizard form! I can't wait to watch her grow.
I did a lot of research on Underground Reptiles before getting my baby. Underground Reptiles have YouTube videos of the tegus and where they breed them. I was very impressed with everything. It's looks like they take very good care of their animals, and that's what I'm all about. Thank you Underground Reptiles for my beautiful girl!

I ordered a baby Asian Water Monitor lizard on 12/05/2020 as a X-mas gift for my teenage nephew which I did specify in my original order. The monitor arrived looking okay on 12/08/2020. I left it alone and just offered it every type of possible food you can offer a monitor lizard but did not want to eat. I reached out to Underground Reptiles 3 days after the monitor arrived to let them know he was not eating. I spoke to someone at there company who stated I should open a support ticket, which I did. I recieved emails requesting pics, which I submitted them. Emailing back and forth with Underground Reptiles customer service but no real resoluton was ever offered or future resolution other than to feed the lizard insects, rodents, etc, which I been doing from day one. On there website it stated the monitor was eating crickets and silversides but not for me. The monitor since, declined in health and died on 01/03/2021, 26 days (Not Even A Month) after arrival from not eating. This was my first bad experience, first time ordering and will be my only. Will not order from here ever again nor will I recommend either. Big dissapointment! Thank you for ruining a young teenagers X-mas!

The Chinese cave gecko is alive! It came healthy and beautiful! Now UPS on the other hand was a pain. Underground Reptiles hit a delay and wasn't clear on what happened or where the Gecko was. They said she or he was in the air but 2 hours earlier it was at a place 1 hour from me. Customer service for ups provided no information and I couldn't hear them because they talked in a whisper or very softly. So it just made my stress levels go higher. Then they had the ups store that's 20 minutes from me reach out and that guy and 2 others went the extra mile to help. At the end I had to drive up and was ignored by the lady at the desk. Thank everything that the other people were still there and helped me. She is safe and healthy.

I ordered an Elliot's Chameleon and a baby citrus Beardie- two lizards I've wanted for a long time. The order was immediately acknowledged and I got shipping updates. I think the package may have been kept in a warmer part of the UPS delivery truck as it was warm to the touch when I picked it up and that worried me. The delivery person knocked on my door and was gone a few seconds later when I opened the door. I don't know if that's because of covid19 or because he saw the work "reptiles" and crapped his pants. That was a common occurence even before COVID19 when I've ordered reptiles with both Fedex and UPS. The baby beardie was very alert, active and cute. The Chameleon was a little sluggish and wouldn't open his or her eyes at first, but perked right up when held in the sunlight for a few seconds (I kept that brief because it's super hot out today an Elliots is a species that needs cooler temperatures.

My 13-year-old daughter wanted to raise a baby mud turtle. We were super nervous about ordering online! After reading the reviews about Underground Reptiles, we felt safe to purchase her turtle online. Then came the worry about how it would be shipped, how it would survive etc. The process was amazingly reassuring! I was given updates every step of the way and knew exactly where our little turtle was until he arrived safely at our home! Immediately out of the container he was alert and active! Today is the second day with him and he is eating and adjusting well to his new environment! Highly recommend using Underground Reptiles!

Got my beautiful snake baby shipped right to my door less than 24 hours after I ordered her. Only knocked off 1 star for packaging as I felt like it should have been a bit more substrate or probably a better option layered paper towels to pad any possible bumps or drops that could happen during transport, as that is standard shipping practice for inverts (like tarantulas), however this was my first time having a reptile shipped to me and I have never packaged and shipped a reptile before so it is possible I am worrying for nothing, but that is what photos are for.

He is very knowledgeable about his animals and will address all questions immediately and respectfully. We have gotten two dart frogs from him (planning on more!) the very first was DOA and he offered me a replacement of equal or lesser value. I got the new frog very quickly, well and alive. A few months later I got another and it was alive on the first try! I plan on purchasing tarantulas, snakes, and a few more frogs from him. He packages his animals well and according to the weather. I love that he offers gift certificates as well as feeders and some supplies on his site all together! Convenient!

My First Purchase was a Apricot/Albino captive breed. Skin was smooth, size about the size of a Quarter, Eyes clear and Alert. I've had this Pac-man Frog a almost a year. I take really great care of him. Underground Rept. Gave him a strong foundation. I also have what I believe to be a Green Horned Pac-man Frog. It is different from captive breed purchased both about a month apart to compare. I'm experienced so I knew it would take extra care. I recommend Captive although he is now thriving. My most recent purchase was a Mophead Iguana I got him because he was rare or different. Very little information follow the basics Basking, Feeders, Zoo med climbing Tree trunks, Large water dish. Although a new hobbiest could do fine it would be a challenge. Arrived the next day. Package was above grade for transport, Very alert, Eyes clear, Skin good, It's taking him time to get used to his enclosure. Size 4 foot long 2 1/2 feet high. Solid heavy glass Light breathable screens for heating elements.

We ordered 3 little southern toads. Underground Reptiles arrived quickly and were alert. One seemed a tad off at first and was a bit smaller so likely this was due to stress. The little one picked back up after a good soak and some crickets. Fingers crossed for the little fellow although I'm sure hes going to be fine! The other 2 were fiesty and easily fed on the crickets offered. All were alert and readily explored their new environment. I was incredibly worried to have an animal shipped in any way but am so happy we chose underground reptiles! Definitely reccomend and they have gained our trust for all our exotic and herp needs!

W were very satisfied that the pacman frog was delivered on time, or within the delivery time given, but not even a full 24 hours after we got him he died. And we spent a TON of money making sure we had EVERYTHING you could possibly think of for him, ordered first kit for pacman frog PLUS PLENTY extra to make sure he would be comfortable in his living environment but tried to feed him several times and all he would do was sleep. Ended up passing away not even 15 hours after he had been delivered and was only held twice. Once by myself and once by my 12 year old little girl in which he was ordered for. Very disappointing and upset. She cried for several hours, been wanting this frog for a long time and finally was able to make sure we were able to get everything he needed.

Little Sheldon, Jr. Is beautiful and charming and we could sit and watch him for hours. He brings much happiness to our hearts! When we began our search for a new Russian Tortoise, we were disappointed to discover that everyone was out of stock. Underground Reptiles had an easy sign-up for notification when the item was back in stock. Happily, within a few days I received an e-mail that Underground Reptiles had a Russian Tortoise, and from the moment I selected to purchase, Underground Reptiles stayed in contact with me and in less than 48 hours, we had our Sheldon, Jr. Delivered to our doorstep! I am especially impressed with their care and concern and follow up to make sure that the tortoise had been delivered safely. Thank you all at Underground Reptiles!

I have a ball python that I rescued about 4 years ago. She came to me small and thin. She was also a picky eater and could not shed completely on her own. I tried several sources for frozen feeder rats and I had a difficult time getting her to eat on a regular basis; until I ordered from Underground Reptiles. I was immediately Impressed with their packaging. The rats are organized; not just tossed in a bag. My snake now eats twice a week and just last month she shed all by herself. She has never been healthier. In fact, my vet says she is a tad chunky, but I can live with that. I am happy with my purchases (as well as the customer service!) and will continue to but my frozen feeder rats here.

Underground reptiles is a horrible service. I have ordered countless reptiles and every time Underground Reptiles have showed up on my doorstep they have arrived dead. My boyfriend and I have been looking into getting a camel spider these past few weeks. Well around 4/7/2021-4/8/2021 we bought one from this company. We got the spider 4/10/2021 and right away we knew something was wrong. We had been studying dromopoda's (the higher classification of camel spiders) for quite some time now, me learning about them for a few months and him learning about them since he was a child. When the spider arrived, it didn't move. It was stiff as a board, and from others experiences with buying these creatures from other sites and local stores, Underground Reptiles are supposed to be pretty active. We decided to set up it's enclosure with sand, a hollowed rock for shade, and a heat lamp. We only got the bare minimum to start off with due to money. Well, we put the spider close to where the heat lamp was aiming and after a while it's legs started twitching. We took that as a good sign and since the spider arrived full (meaning it already had ate before shipment or during shipment), we didn't put any crickets in just yet. We decided that hopefully overnight it would be active or feel better. We woke up this morning and my boyfriend went to check up on the spider and it was still in the same position as yesterday evening. He had sent an email yesterday stating the situation and we have yet to hear back from this company. I am VERY disappointed with how the spider arrived to our house, and we will not be buying from this site again. Much better going to a local store and able to see the condition of the creatures.

We ordered a snake on Friday and paid $20 extra to have it delivered on a Saturday. It was delayed because of FedEx (only reason I gave 2 stars instead of zero &since Underground Reptiles hopefully will replace it...) it was delayed in Memphis (so these snakes come from other state: they are not in facility at underground reptiles in Florida...) so since it wasn't at the FedEx office before they close (AT 2PM WTH) on Saturday we weren't able to get the snake until they opened on Monday morning (07/20/2020). The snake was dead upon opening the box... already had some gnats flying around IN the box. It STINKS. It's very sad because it WAS a beautiful reticulated python. I hope the company will reach out (I've called 3 times today with no promise of a new snake or urgency to replace the dead one.) We have driven over 30 minutes one way to the Fed Ex office. So I've already driven over two hours of my time ONLY for a DEAD snake... I also asked for a refund of the extra $20 delivery charge for Saturdays and haven't received that either...

I ordered a blue tegu from the a male expecting you know a full blood blue tegu but in return it's a mix and I can tell by his red belly their only suppose to be black and white. So I ordered a 8 to 10 inch one ounce I got him put he was already 16 inches which I'm fine with but ounce a tegu gets to that size he starts not liking people, I contacted them several times the guy is super nice but the girl there constantly with the back talk like seriously here I am a customer who has a degree in herpetology for this kind of stuff will het talked back to by this cell phone assistant but if you don't mind the service or getting the wrong animal go right ahead to underground reptiles

My daughter wanted a green iguana for her birthday, she and I researched the needs of an iguana for about six months and planned to purchase one from a local store. During our research we ran across Underground Reptile's web site because Underground Reptiles had a lot of useful information on how to take care of an iguana. That's when it happened, we discovered the blue iguana, wow do they look awesome. My daughter decided that she wanted a blue iguana so we went around to a couple of local stores but they only had green iguanas. With the Covid outbreak I was a little leery about purchasing a live animal online. But Underground Reptiles came through for us, they responded within 24 hours to my purchase that I made on a Sunday. The blue iguana was shipped next day air that Monday and received it the following Tuesday. But wait there's more, they kept in touch with me the whole way, by email and text, thanks Peter W! I will be a returning customer for sure.

I ordered a set of 3 cumberland turtles and 2 arrived good and healthy, but one was not healthy. Underground Reptiles arrived on 6-23-2020 and today he died. Ues indeed they call you right away to make sure they arrived but in reality you can't see 8f the animals arrived good and healthy within in 2 hrs that Underground reptiles give you to file a complaint. Like i said, 2 of the 3 arrived healthy and the 3rd one just didn't want to eat nor swim or even open his eyes.We noticed this the 2nd day that he wasn't active as the other 2. Today 6-29-2020 my daughter is very sad and emotional due too the poor judgment of Underground reptiles shipping us unhealthy turtle. Thats bad for business...
As you can see in the picture with the blue arrow the turtle had something in his eyes and never did opened them.
