The team at Waterdrop has been responsive, supportive, and truly invested in making sure their customers have the correct solution to meet their water purification needs. They are a caring group of professionals with great insight into what their customers need and help them plan for ongoing solutions to their water purification needs. I was introduced to Waterdrop through their refrigerator water filters, so was excited when their reverse-osmosis technology and systems became affordable for the average homeowner.
We recently remodeled our kitchen and our contractor removed our Waterdrop unit until we were ready to reinstall it. The unit was sitting in our very hot garage and it dawned on us that the filters and any water remaining inside the unit would be a harbor for growing bacteria. I called the customer service and was told to pull both filters and place them in the fridge. We went ahead and ordered a new filter to be safe. They were great with info and answered all my questions. New remodel is completed and every working just like it’s supposed to! Thanks!
Customer care is very poor. My package went missing from fed ex and I was asked to follow up fed ex, raise a case with fed ex and then work with fed ex to resolve the case. Again I have to call fed ex get all info from fed ex so that water drop can claim missing package from fed ex. I was told that this info would be readily available for water drop. All I got an answer is we will take it from there . Still not sure what does that mean?
We have been using bottled water for years. When we remodeled our kitchen, we decided to install a reverse osmosis system by Waterdrop. It is also connected to our ice machine. Everyone loves the taste of the water with the clear ice! It is like enjoying a glass of water at a fine restaurant. With the separate pump added to our system, we have great pressure flow to both our undercounter ice machine and the Waterdrop faucet. Our remodeler's plumber installed the system and all the components fit nicely under the bar sink. We highly recommend this product!
We recently purchased a new LG refrigerator with ice and water on the door. I thought the water was great, but my husband thought it had a funny taste. We bought a new filter thinking the one that was in it had been on display and might be contaminated, we changed the filter, no change. My husband did a little research and found the Waterdrop filter. We purchased and installed the Waterdrop. Initially, my husband thought it was better, but still not perfect. After we used it for about 10 days, it seemed to get better, he now thinks it's pristine. The water and ice quality are top-notch.
I LOVE Waterdrop, and I tell everyone who will listen to me! My triple stage under sink filter is amazing. The water tastes SO GOOD! It's so good I found myself naturally drinking lots more water and I don't even drink seltzer anymore (which my teeth appreciate!) Plus, rather than having ugly canisters under the sink, the unit is so beautifully designed it looks like an Apple computer. Even the nice touches like the magnetic face plate, and filters you can change without turning off the water. I truly feel like my Waterdrop filter has changed my life. In fact, I'm going to get a glass right now!
The Waterdrop unit is well designed and engineered. Designed in such a way that it is very easy to maintain. I have owned many tank-type reverse osmosis systems in the past, but this unit is by far better than the ones I have previously had. I had read many of the negative reviews on the unit and most of them were because of the water quality coming into the unit. The unit has no control over the water that it is being fed. I already know I have poor water quality so to eliminate this being an issue I added a 10-inch 10 µm filter as a pre-filter to the Waterdrop unit. By doing this it will ultimately protect the three filters inside of the Waterdrop unit and will ultimately extend their life. (10" Housing and filters readily found on Amazon) This resulted in a very clean installation. I worked for 43 years in the facilities department for a large medical company which had multiple reverse osmosis systems. This seems to be the best point of use unit that I was able to find. It is a little more expensive than tank type units, but you get what you pay for. Well worth the money.
This is my second time i purchased a waterdrop filter from you.
The first one is an undersink filter system , of which I am very very pleased and happy.
So i decided to get your inline ultrafiltration refrigerator water filter, the WD-15UC-UF The reason why i ordered this item is because it says you can have crystal clear ice cubes. I was a little bit disappointed because it did not produce ice as I am expecting. Anyhow, I still love my waterdrop filters because it does a good job of giving us fresh and good drinking water.
I was a Zero Water customer for the last 9 years and I recently switched to Waterdrop's gravity filter system. After using Waterdrop for the last month, I have to say, I'm disappointed with the taste of the water vs Zero. Zero always tasted clean and pure, but there's a noticeable taste associated with Waterdrop. The TDS of Waterdrop vs my tap water is nearly identical, while I was always able to achieve a 0 reading with Zero.
With that said, I do like the increased 2gallon capacity of my Waterdrop vs Zero so I don't need to fill it as regularly for two people.
Overall, I'll continue to try it for the next few months but I much rather prefer the Zero water taste.
I ended up returning my new Waterdrop unit because the taste of the water was just not what I got used to over the past 30 years of owning 5 different R/O systems, each in a different residence around the Las Vegas, NV area, and one unit I installed in my RV I spent the last 10 years in before moving into a house in Boulder City, NV. Your tankless system, the first one I have tried, is very efficient and easy to install, but the taste of the water was just not as good as the system I replaced it with, a tank system. Thank you for working with me on this experience.
I love that the cartridges are more carbon than particulate filters, because we do not need particulate filtering. I was disappointed that electricity was required, but realized this is the price to pay for more space under the counter. We live in a rural area and our house is very quiet so the sound is very noticeable. I really wish I could trade the electricity on your unit for a pressure tank. Is that possible? I understand you have a small tank to raise the pressure for a refrigerator line, but I'm sure the electricity will still be required. Is it possible to add a pressure tank that will remove the need for electricity?
We've had this filter installed on a line to our kitchen faucet and refrigerator for several months. It replaced an Aqua Pure product that has been failing for some time, and eventually wouldn't stop leaking. All in the house agree that the water is tasteless - just as good if not better than the AP cartridges did in the old filter. I am pleased that we have not had any issues with flow at the faucet, slowing down, etc. I really like the metal encasement of the cartridge. No plastic parts to blow out when we're away.
The whole purpose of this purchase was to install the filter in my travel trailer before my 3-weeks trip. The initial delivery date has been moved and delayed by 2 days. I made it clear to the support team member that I don't need the filter since it's delivery was delayed and it will arrive after I already left. Instead of emailing me a return label, a support person was trying to convince me it's not their fault and since there is nothing wrong with the filter, they won't be emailing me a return label and I have to cover the shipping cost myself. The attitude was absolutely unfriendly and totally not customer-oriented. Again: I don't have experience using the actual product, it is more about my frustration with the customer support. Since the return shipping cost is very high, I'm trying to sell it locally.
Great service and fast shipping. Great price.
So far so good. I installed last month four each of the black elements into two Big Berkey water filters (total of eight) in our kitchen, removing the older ceramic ones, cleaning them, and storing them for spares.
These black filters are supposed to run for 6000 gallons, which in our place, shouldl be about forever. Hope that estimate holds true.
These from Waterdrop are about a third the cost of the ones sold by Berkey, so let us hope that they are as good! We shall see....
I was initially not impressed with Waterdrop after ordering a 3-pack and only receiving one cartridge. Their customer service was very good and quick at getting me a new 3-pack in the mail. I actually ended up with four while only paying for three. My only concern is that the filter light stays on in the fridge which will require me to write down the date for which it should be changed. The filters perform well and they're inexpensive compared to the Samsung ones. Overall, I'm impressed with Waterdrop.
I've had the WD-G2MRNR-W ( G2MDV7G02219) system for about 3 weeks now
and making a thumping sound maybe once a day.
Last Friday I call your customer service dept. and talked to a gentleman
and he couldn't give me a reason for the noise.
He said it might need another pump for an additional $ 30.00.
I need to know if this will fix the problem and do I need to hire another plumber to install this
device?
Do you have any referrals for a plumber that has installed your units and is reasonable?
Your instruction manual doesn't say anything about this problem.
I need some help on this matter as I'm on a fixed income and times are tuff.
Sincerely,
Larry Lukowski
Extremely easy to install, or so says my brother who installed it for me and knows about such things. I like the sleaziness of the design without nooks and crannies to be cleaned. Fits nicely under the little kitchen sink in my small one-bedroom apartment. I had an on-the-counter ZeroWater system that removed even more totally dissolved solids (00.0 from tap water of 175), but the WaterDrop system is more convenient and the filters last longer (the lowest TDS measure I get is 5). Very happy with the Waterdrop!
Once installed it works perfectly and we are very happy with it. We did have a challenge with the first mineral filter and the line would not stay in, which caused some water to leak, but it was during installation so I was able to catch it fast. I contacted support and they were fantastic and solving the problem and quickly sent a replacement. Once we installed the replacement, everything worked great. Very happy with the overall system and the support of Waterdrop.
Had the WD-D6 under sink Filter for one year
My first filter unit purchase from Amazon was returned because the box was not sealed completely or properly.
My second purchase was direct from Waterdrop, not that it mattered because it was sent through Amazon.
The original filter produced water 12 to 15ppm TDS. The new replacement filter 6 to 10ppm TDS. Down from city water 240 to 280ppm.
This does result in reduce water flow rate and requires a longer time to fill a bottle. Not sure what the difference is between the GE filters, maybe normal variation in the osmosis filter pore size.
I explained the packing issue to Waterdrop CSR a few times now.
Please safety seal all your packages so the customer can verify it’s a new product.
Used products maybe being recycled by Amazon, based on open packaging evidence.
So far, so good...
I found the Waterdrop was fairly easy to install. Although, once the tubes were in the system I'd be hesitant to try and get them out.
Best to get the piping sorted the first time.
We purchased the system as our water in Nevada is hard and we wanted cleaner water for consumption.
In our house the kettle is used quite often, and scaling happened daily. We cleaned the kettle biweekly with vinegar. It's been over a month with waterdrop and we haven't needed to clean the kettle at all. It has certainly prevented any scaling and the taste is noticeable.
I would recommend it.
