Love the bed! Perfect for office/guest room. Nice comments from guests, too. I first ordered a bed on Amazon. Delivery problems so I cancelled and requested a refund. About a month ago received a message from the seller that the bed is a safety hazard and do not use. So glad I didn’t install that one. Would be a nightmare to disassemble and return.
The Walding bed is a much better bed. The cost was high, but so is the quality. You get what you pay for. Very heavy so be sure there is at least one other person to help with delivery and assembly.
Love the quality of the bed. The set-up videos (and for us, the moving video, as we moved to a new home after having the bed up for 8 months or so) were excellent and frankly, without them, we wouldn't have had the success we did with setting the bed up. We had a couple of manufacturing snafus....1) the metal plate on the bottom of one of the bookshelves was installed BACKWARDS, so it was impossible to install that side bookshelf properly. Luckily, we discovered the issue and were able to reverse it. 2) the handles included for the pillow backboard were much longer than the holes drilled in the board for them. We had to purchase our own handles in order to fit the pre-drilled holes. The only other issue is that one side of the bookshelves does not click closed, despite our having the bed square and set up correctly. Nothing we've tried rectifies the situation.
Even though they are super backlogged due to the entire world converting home to offices, I have no complaints after around 5 months of usage on the bed. I got the Queen size Homefront Series Edge(https://www.wallbedsbywilding.com/product/wall-bed-edge/#/) which was on discount. The customer service was pretty good and kept me informed throughout the delivery process. You can get most changes made as long as it's not gone into production which I took full advantage of. We installed the bed our selves (you will need two people to do it) and the instructions were clear.
I wish they couild open a store front here on the east coast or atleast a distributor cause the I could not find another manufacturer that does as good a job on these beds.
I would recommend getting the head board as it makes the whole thing look cool and even more super useful and does not add too much to the size of the bed.
As far as delivery goes, really YMMV with the company they subcontract with for last mile delivery.
M husband is a general contractor and has directly and indirectly brought customers n to see the bed which has resulted in 6 beds being purchased out of the Chino, ca showroom. When we went to buy a custom size end cabinet for our bed we were told hat he factory was no able to do any custom work at that time due to COVID issues. So my husband built it himself. When asking for stain to match the existing bed it was said due to the circumstances that resulted in him building his own cabinet, the company could provide him with enough to stain the cabinet. When we arrived at the Chino showroom we were asked to pay for the stain. Not what we expected to given Wilding was unable to provide a side cabinet for my unit.
We purchased a King with extra deep storage.
I assembled the bed myself and it was quite a job. All the pieces fit, the hardware was all correct, and the online video was incredibly helpful.
I have decades of experience as a custom home builder. If you are not handy I recommend you have Wilding assemble and install your bed. It was not an option for us as the bed resides in Colorado.
The bed is extremely well made. It is absolutely beautiful.
The lead time and delivery times were accurate and Wilding stayed in contact with us through out the process.
I would definitely recommend Wilding if you are looking for a wall bed.

We spend winters in St. George and I had considered getting a Wilding bed for the house. We decided against it, but I never forgot how nice and helpful the Wilding folks had been. When we needed a Cabinet bed for our home in Virginia, I called them. They were helpful, and answered all my questions. If I remember correctly, the bed even arrived more quickly than we expected. We love the cabinet bed. It looks beautiful and those who have slept in it say that it is very comfortable. It is easy to use and really worked well in our room.
We had to basically take the bed apart again due the the bed having too much spring power and was a safety issue. You would pull the bed down and it would pop right back up so forget about having kids or pets near it. Once we took it back off the wall and bought new tools and removed the springs (we followed the manual exactly) the bed is finally in working order. I call the engineering team to see how I could fix this and he told me to just “pop a spring off” which was literally impossible. All in all, the bed is now working. It is not lined up perfectly so you have to shove it closed.
This is our third Wilding Wallbed! They were the first with their desk bed, before others began copying it. There are cheaper beds, but they are made very cheaply and you get what you pay for. Wilding beds are quality wood and built solidly, here in the USA. They are heavy and strong, work smoothly, and their designs are so innovative. They worked with us to customize one of our beds and built a matching file cabinet, adjusting the height to our specifications. It’s in this gorgeous light maple. The pieces are so beautiful! Our latest bed is paint grade hardwood, in white, for my sewing room. It has a studio desk on it, so handy. I just roll my chair to the side when we want to use the bed. Thank you for your excellent furniture we have enjoyed over the years!
Two bi-fold bookcase wall beds, several adjoining bookcases and one adjoining desk. Overall an excellent product, well made and well designed. Very difficult to install even though, we have years of construction, home repair and woodworking experience. Manual, videos and phone consultation with Wilding worked well. Would be much better if Wilding offered installation services from their own professional staff. Missing one piece of quarter round trim which we purchased locally. The large metal bi-fold bookcase pivots were not machined correctly and required filing down. Wilding sent new light, free of charge for one that we broke during installation. End result is two excellent and beautiful bedrooms/study/sewing room.
Despite a shipping delay due to globalization cracks, the bed arrived in good condition. It fits in handsomely with my guest room decor. There are two issues I wasn't prepared to deal with. They are not the fault of the manufacturer or Wilding Wallbeds. Unlike my other Murphy-style bed, I am unable to make it up and then fold it back into its case. This means my guests will need to attach all the bedding after opening it. They can do that fine, but the other issue is that a young woman like my granddaughter may not be able to open the bed up. I had some difficulty myself. Ideally, it would be a two-person affair. I accept any blame for these issues, for not having made a deeper investigation before selecting this model.
The bed itself and its features are first class and beautiful.
We had a problem with the instructions -- or actually the lack of written instructions and the serious lack of communications on the part of Wilding Wallbed to not tell us that there were no written instructions for our model. This is not the case with all or even most models.
We only learned this when our hired installers wasted time trying to use the written instructions we had downloaded from the internet. Only then, after we phoned the company, did someone casually tell us to check the envelope marked instructions to pull out the key drive with the actual instructions.
I spent several months researching wallbeds and found Wilding Wallbeds on the web. I was looking for a solid, elegant, well made piece of furniture to compliment and elevate a handcrafted, boutique guest cabin that doubles as a my private therapeutic practice space. Wilding Wallbed models offered all I was looking for and! the customer service from showroom visit, ordering process, shipment, delivery and installation was exceptional. We have recieved so many compliments on the piece, the finish and style are surprising to people when learning it’s a Wallbed and the custom mattress is the most comfortable guests have slept on. Wilding Walbeds are a wonderful, family operated, made in USA company. I highly, highly recommend!
Difficult to assemble, made even more impossible when the wrong bed size was sent. We ordered a double, we received a queen. They shipped out a new one to replace it and it arrived 2 days after we notified them of the problem. They responded as swiftly as was possible in the situation. The down side, was we had momentum and spare hands to get it assembled, then lost all that having a delay. Also we ordered a mattress from them and we really regret it. It is much, much to soft and saggy. If I were in the market, I would buy from them again, as the end product (minus mattress issues) is a wuality product.
We started our search for comfortable and quality options for extra sleeping space to accommodate periodic additional guests. We were introduced to the wallbed concept and began our search. Although many wallbed options and providers are here in the Chicago area, nothing met our expectations for quality and appearance. We then came across the Wilding site. Immediately impressed with what appeared to be high quality materials/manufacturing, customization options, appearance, functionally, and competitively priced. Once we received our wallbed, we couldn’t have been happier with our decision on Wilding and it even exceeded our high expectations. Quality look, function, materials, manufacturing, and Customer Service. Remember you get what you pay for and in my experience I got more with Wilding that we would have gotten from others at same price!
We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Winding Wallbeds. The most difficult part was choosing the wood finish for our home. Although we received some samples in the mail, we decided to make a trip to the showroom in Utah before making a decision. From start to finish everyone was extremely helpful. The bed arrived when it was promised and it was very easy for my handy husband to install. All parts and hardware were included and packaged extremely carefully. The mattress is of good quality. Everyone who has slept on the bed says it is extremely comfortable. We love the touch lights, pull out side tables, cabinets, shelves and hardware that we chose. The bed can be closed up with just one hand. We are very happy with this purchase and highly recommend Wilding Wallbeds!
After extensive review of wall beds, we chose Wilding Wallbeds based on quality and satisfaction we read from customers and studying the online assembly video. We ordered in January, and had a delivery date of May which was not acceptable so we canceled the order and wrote a note to the company describing our inability to wait that long. Shortly after we received a call and an email that there was a production opening for March and we reinstated our order. The wall bed along with the light kit and one side book shelves along with their branded mattress were delivered on time. We also chose the delivery option to have it placed in our garage (for an extra fee), which we felt was also a great value. We started our assembly on a Sunday mid morning and carefully and slowly followed the very well done and excellent online assembly video and worked for about 6 hours which got us to the point of the spring installation. On Monday morning we found we had a bit of an issue with alignment of the spring assembly to the frame, called Wilding in Utah and got immediate and courteous instructions how to maneuver a solution to a “stamping” error of the holes. After two more hours, (eight in total) again taking our time and following the video before completing each step, my wife and I completed the wall bed, adding the mattress we also bought from Wilding, and attaching the shelf to the right side of the unit. We couldn’t be more happy with our decision, as the quality, value and ease of installation was absolutely 5 stars! Thank you Wilding Wall bed for delivering a great product as described!!

The instructions were not updated to the mechanism changes causing me to have to call. The screws for the face boards were Phillips, not square drive like the instructions say. Even had a square drive bit. Would have helped because they are less likely to strip. Holes in the side panel were not countersunk enough. Had to drill out the safety holes in the arms. Center face board is warped and did not draw down. Strap is made with the buckle on top of the mattress where you can feel it. It should be on the side. Had to call about the poor face alignment.
Glen and Jake helped me through the multiple phone calls and the bed looks good. The instruction issue must be embarrassing and is totally inexcusable. I certainly feel screwed on the square drive screw issue. I am in a new community in Florida where wall beds are popular. Should I recommend Wilding? Maybe but with warnings.
So what can you do for me? 248.904.7111
We were trying to locate doors for the closet that holds our Murphy bed. We saw a very acceptable example on your web site. We were looking for leads to find these unusally tall doors. Your Ausie customer service agent was less than helpful hiding behind “these are custom installations, you are expected to do your on installation”. We were just looking for a source for doors. Eventually we built our own custom doors. The mechanism works well though the $1000 price point is a bit high. Had we had a more ernist and helpful customer service agent our review would have been more positive. I felt that “anything to get rid of this guy” was this persons mantra rather than finding a helpful solution!
I ordered an oak wooden wallbed, painted in white. First off the packaging was impressive. The printed instructions were really good, not great, but the video assembly clips found online were superb. Some of the preassembled mounting hardware on the frame was misaligned from the factory- this was an easy fix but a little disappointing for thousands of dollars paid for this bed. The gas piston did not fit as per the instructions, and we needed to use a clap to compress the piston to make it fit, again a moderate inconvenience during installation/ assembly. And my last gripe was the paint job- they only used one coat of finish paint (hopefully they primed the wood first?). Yes, I know the wood is oak and you can see the lines and gain in the wood, but I still see some thin stops with tan/brown wood color showing through where the paint was not applied correctly. Overall I am satisfied and would order again, just with more instruction given during pre-order.
For the price, I was initially disappointed it didn’t arrive assembled, but understood for shipping reasons, it didn’t.
When we assembled it, we found provided parts didn’t anyways match what was described in directions- a couple examples I can’t remember where the corner support bracket was different as well as some screw heads where not square heads rather Phillips- a couple other things were odd. By the end of assembling it I was cussing this brand.
The side bookcase isn’t custom made nor fits flush with the bed frame. The meeting points of the case, bed frame and top finish pieces are all different and don’t flow together at all.
