Complete Rip Off And Biggest Scam
Very overpriced clicks with no results, do not waist your time advertising on yelp. We got supposedly 6 month advertising with promotions with option of cancel any time if you dont like, but no one told us that if you cancel it early, Yelp will take full amount from your account, basically ripping you off. For example let's say you try the add and it is not good for you obviously you have to stop it, Yelp for Business Owners charge additional for the promotions they gave you. After we lost lots of money on Yelp adds we decide to stop in a 3 mounts and we got charged extra. With advertisement was included also page enhancement, which is $90 value (this is a small yellow line on you page that attract very little people) complete another waist. The enhancement was removed from our page, but yelp keep charging our credit card, and when I called them they say it is mont to mont enhancement and you can cancel anytime, and I asked "can you show me that feature on my page" she played dumb pretending does not understand what i am talking about. No feature but getting charged every month. Another problem with Yelp, they will show or remove any reviews they want, doing that they control your search position on the page, and you cant do anything. This is very important tool for them to get you buy nonsense expensive adds.

Total fraud
Yelp for Business Owners said that I was going to receive $150 in bonus ads prior to me giving them my credit card details. They lied and plan to bill me $170 next month for fraudulent clicks I received on my ad. I am not going to pay for this blatant fraud. They lie about how you are getting a bonus when in fact you are not. Total fraud. That is what Yelp is.

Reply to the commenter: I closed my debit card account and a new one was ordered for me by my bank. Yelp still managed to fraudulently charge the closed debit card account. Yelp did this through contacting Visa, not my main bank. My bank told me the Yelp cocksu**kers had presented an alleged agreement between Yelp and me to Visa so as to charge the closed debit card account. As soon as my bank found out that Yelp had stolen my money by fraud, it credited the money back into my account. Jay, close your debit/credit card account as "stolen/missing." Tell your bank or credit card company to add a "stop check" to your account too. That way, Yelp cannot charge your closed debit/credit card account like it did in my case. They'll then threaten you with a baseless collections letter. But you have a right not to be lied to in the form of false advertisement from Yelp. At that point, you may go to court to have any bull$#*! collections info removed from your credit history. If you gave them a false first name and last name when registering for your Business account, they may not charge any account in a different name. $#*! Yelp!
Yelp is a scam! Yelp needs to be sued and I'm looking for the company's head too.

Dispute a charge and they will move your reviews to "not recommended"
Recently disputed a charge from yelp after Yelp for Business Owners were no help getting the issue fixed. I use the app for most of my yelp business which means I've created ad campaigns and for my two locations. I canceled the ad for this location back in august using the app due to the ad amounting to nothing. So fast forward to October I get my cc statement and yelp has charged me $479 for the same ad for the month of September. I explained to them we cancelled this using your app and I don't feel like we need to pay for something we didn't even know was running and didn't even get to customize it to our needs. They basically told me that even though the app has a cancel campaign button I would still need to log in through a computer in order to successfully cancel and ads with them. I was floored! I asked them to at least credit me something to use for future ads and they declined. Hung up pissed off and called the bank to dispute the charge. Now that I have disputed the charge yelp has removed all my reviews and placed them in the not recommended section. This is the dirtiest business practice I've ever seen in my life.! Please don't give yelp your business. They're not good for any type of business.

Either a con or plain stupid
Those are the only 2 ways in which this business can be described!
I've received the same ridiculous email rejecting my profile photo because I have glasses with transition lenses (that I wear 24/7). Called and explained, the CSR said she'll get the photo approved, 2 days later back to square1 with same email!
Awesome 5-star reviews have been hidden, supposedly 'just by the algorithm' without ANY ability for CSR intervention. How f'ing STUPID is that! If this were a bank or credit card company, Yelp for Business Owners would be closed by now. The CSR was more intent on getting me to sign up for ads, than even hear about my issue!
A waste of 3 weeks, with real stress and sleepless nights only to make peace with the ridiculous situation.

And after placing this review, I get this seemingly caring call that turns into a nightmare while driving! This utter i*iota calls me saying he wanted to address my concerns, then starts arguing that every concern I have is not really a concern, and that he is 'calling me out on it!'. I couldn't even understand what he thinks he is calling me out on! These people take advantage of common human decency to force people into agreeing to advertise. I even warned him that I'd not continue with the argument and just put down the phone, but m being courteous to end this conversation on a decent note. This mor-on couldn't even get that!

You have no recourse if you have an issue with charges.
If you have an issue with a yelp charge you will wait on hold for roughly a half hour and then talk to a "rep" who is basically there to tell you why you can't be credited back any of your charges.

I was talked into running some pay per click ads during the last 10 days of my clients business season. It was explicitly stated many times that we would only want to run the ad for 10 days because the business was closing for the season. This is stated in the sales agent's notes and on the voice recording.

What the sales agent didn't tell us was that we were responsible for turning the ads off at the 10 day mark. I personally checked the account after the 10 days and it appeared there were no ads running but I received a call from the client a month later that Yelp for Business Owners were charged $570 for ads that ran while they were closed.

We were also told that we would only pay for actual ad clicks which no one wants to click an ad to rent a boat in the fall but also Yelp conveniently will charge you the maximum per month even if you don't get the ad clicks.

I called and was able to speak with an agent that said their sales people are not responsible to turn off ads despite what may be interpreted or implied. I asked to speak to her manager and she said she was the manager. I asked for her name and ID# and she would only give me her first name. She was more than happy to tell me how she wasn't going to help and that it was our responsibility to pay for it regardless of the error.

I have multiple clients and know multiple agents so this is roughly 50 people within direct reach of me that will never use yelp. I explained this to them with zero result. I called one more time to see if I could get a different rep and answer to no avail.

Any company that is so desperate to keep shady ad money without any sort of negotiation or acccommodation is on it's way down. I assume they know they are doomed to Facebook & Google reviews and are doing a final run for a money grab before they sink.

I am a restaurant owner and noticed that all my 5 star...
I am a restaurant owner and noticed that all my 5 star reviews on Yelp have mysteriously disappeared and left were 4 stars and below. What I also noticed is Yelp for Business Owners keep all groupon reviews and they do not keep reviews from people who were recommended by friends or concierge or just by people who happen to walk in off the streets. This site is so unethical and is used against business owners! They bolster about some filtering system for user reviews however, I believe there is someone who takes down all the good ones when you do not advertise with them. I have been contacted numerous times to advertise and when I explain that I will not advertise because their site is unfair and unethical, a few days later 4 and 5 star reviews disappear. I have taken pictures of my reviews and then to see them taken down after a few days only to leave up the negative ones. Their is a class action law suit against Yelp for this very thing that they are doing. So all you Yelpers out there, do not take this yelp site seriously because you are not getting fair results. If they were a legitimate site you would be able to contact them but there is no way to get in direct contact with anyone from yelp. Emails are submitted to their sales department. This should be a red flag to everyone...

Yelp has shady practices
In short, yelp stole my money and it sucks.

I was contacted by a representative in June. The call opened with him mentioning that people in my area were looking for businesses like mine (photography) He said that Yelp wanted to help with exposure. He walked me through how to set up an account for Ads. I was hesitant to enter my card but he said it was a formality it wouldn't charge me in fact he had a code so I could try the ads for $300 free. So I put my info in. When I connected a second small business I own on Yelp, a woman and then the same guy called back and had me sign up my second account. Below attached is the email I received after the call. Notice no reference to being charged at a later date. I didn't look for another email because I assumed that this was the only one I should be looking for. A month later I was charged $600 no email or warning. These are small businesses and I'm a recent college grad so that was pretty much everything I had in those accounts mainly for taxes. I called Yelp and submitted a review form. It took weeks and I'm am not sure if this is a coincidence but only after I tweeted about the company did I get an email saying that in good faith Yelp for Business Owners would return the money for one of my businesses (the account that was charged less.) The other account was denied because the salesperson did "nothing wrong" I called today after calling a week ago and was told to email the representative. When I didn't see a reply I followed up and the answer was there is nothing they can do. They tried to frame it as if they were generous for giving any of it back. They front as if the promotion is absolutely free i have never dealt with ads online and I didnt know better *sigh* I wont be dumb ever again but be warned.

Yelp is a scam, totality dishonest and only to get your money!
After a number of telephone calls from Yelp representatives, I was politely walked through the sign-up website to try Yelp. I was also shown how to discontinue my ads. So, I decided to try it for one months. I set the "trial" to end on the last day of the month I signed up. I thought this was all I had to do, my understanding from the Yelp representative. However, my credit card was billed for the first month - OK, but then it was billed for the 2nd month and then the 3rd month. I called to get a refund for the two months. The Yelp person on the phone explained that I only stopped my receiving of results, and that I have to go to another place on their website to actually stop the ads.
This was not explained to me by the Yelp representative when signing up. Not only have I not received a refund, Yelp is still billing me for another month, "your ads were still running." Yelp is a SCAM, or why would Yelp for Business Owners have a program that when you shut down wanting to receive reports that it does not shut down the advertising? Yelp should be shut down by the government for stealing from small businesses. Any decent company would not require a special way to stop billing when the business requests discontinuing the reports. And any decent company would gladly refund this overcharge. DON'T USE YELP - RUN FROM THIS CHEATING SCAM!

Theifs!
Yelp encourages business owners to get their business app. Then Yelp for Business Owners send deceiving offers claiming you can get hundreds of dollars in free advertising.
During the sign up process, they ask for the budget you agree to. Obviously, I chose a budget to match what they claim I would get for free, $300. Nowhere did it say I had to pay out of pocket or that I had to call and cancel.
Two months later I look at my bank statement and find a charge for $247 debited from my account. They had my account information from a previously authorized purchase.
What you get for your money;
Your listing is close to the top of the list when someone does a search on the services or products you offer. THAT'S IT!
The person would have to search the name of your business for it to come out on top.
I was so shocked at the unexpected charges. I couldn't figure out what went wrong. I disputed it with my bank, but the charge was still pending so they couldn't do anything for me. It was the first, rent and bills were due at home and at my business.
I called Yelp. I thought my 7 year old pressed something and ordered some ridiculous service. Regardless, they wouldn't budge. I got no warning, no email, nothing.
Eventually, I figured out what happened and remembered I had fallen for the same scam a few years prior.
I spend hours advertising, including advertising yelp. I get lots of business, but rarely do I get customers through yelp.
I cancelled the service and that same day I got my first bad review. It was an unknown customer who made claims that were impossible. I tried to dispute it worn yelp and the wouldn't help me.
Yelp is bias and only benefits your business when you pay. Otherwise bad reviews from uninformed people, or revenge reviews are permitted. I was even extorted for free services by a person threatening to give me a bad review, later to find out that person was never a customer.

SCAM!
In September I received an email to receive a free $300 Credit of ads for yelp business. There was no time limit. It said after you use your $300 in credits and you don't cancel your will receive a bill next month of acquiring changes. I signed up in mid September and in Mid October I received an email saying I'm close to using my ad credit. So frequently checked my app to see what amount was left. So when it reached about $288 I discontinued the ads. I only received a bunch of false leeds and robotic calls no dates were booked.

So I checked my bank account I saw this charge for $153.06 from Yelp! I called today the the first person who told me it's based on clicks and I went over my credit. I explained many different times that I did not because I checked frequently because I didn't want to be charge. She's telling me I don't understand. I said so your app lied or is delayed telling me different. She said no I was wrong. I asked to speak to another person.

So the next person said, No you did not use all your $300 credit but your used clicks which is $5.50 per click. So this doesn't make sure. Why give me a credit to use and charge me? Then she went on and on about advertising. Which had nothing to do with my lost money. I told her to cancel my ad all together and she did not. I want my hard earned money back!

Yelp is a popular "business look up" site
Yelp is a popular "business look up" site.
Popular for those that use it, but not for many of the businesses owners who yelp has listed on their site.
It is a site where people give user reviews and rate you by the 5 star method.
Google searches this site and posts the # of reviews and your star rating. Next to your link in their search engine.

The good:
1. Your listing is free and can be customized allowing you to add photos and a business description.

2. It's an extremely popular site with hundreds of thousands of users across the USA.
Because of that a business can get a fair amount of customers from that site.

3. Yelpers are hard core and trust what others are writing about you.

The bad:
1. You get listed on their site without your approval.

2. Some yelpers won't give anyone a 5 star rating. Yelp for Business Owners might have absolutely loved your restaurant or the service you provided and will write a wonderful review about you, but they won't give anyone that 5th star.
Well that isn't a bad thing if that 4.5 star rating was confined to Yelp.
Most Yelpers like to read the reviews and you can still get their business, but what happens when another site or search engine grabs that information?
But that lowered star rating that they give you isn't confined to Yelp's website!
Google's search bots transfer that information to your website link on their search engine, which then drops your rating to 4.75 or 4.5 stars.
And their are other internet directors that farm links and information for their site and will include your star rating and review on their site.
Now you are no longer rated equal with or better than your competitors and people who are only looking for those with the 5 star rating, pass over your link in their search for the best.
And all because someone hired you or ate at your restaurant and has an attitude that they are high and mighty won't bestow 5 stars on anyone, short of having them save their life or give them an orgasm.

Now that's just an example of what happens to when someone decides that what your doing isn't giving them an orgasm and so it doesn't deserve 5 stars.
What about the people that might have had a waiter or waitress that makes a mistake or is having a bad day for some reason?
Or the person on yelp that tries to take advantage of your services or loses in small claims court against you?
Well, they can give you a bad review and 1 star and Yelp won't stop them.
What Yelp tells you in their FAQ section, is that all you need to do, is write a rebuttal, explaining your side.
Well that might be fine for those people who only use Yelp and actually read the reviews, but Google search bots are automated to look for the stars and the word "review" (but not "rebuttal") and will still down rate your star rating.
And Google is not the only one.
Other sites that are directories farm that information, will include the first words of a review (if it's the latest) but not your rebuttal (because Yelp publishes it like a footnote).
The bottom line:
On Yelp, a business is vulnerable to whatever whim and state of emotion of the person writing the review.
Literally, right now, you can go on Yelp and see that a contractor received a 1 star rating from someone who admitted that they never used the person and gave them the rating because they don't like a commercial that they have airing.

And Yelp? Well, you have no direct way to get in contact with them.
They do not list a contact phone # and any email submissions are directed to their sales department.
Which brings me to my next point about being a business owner listed on Yelp.

3. Yelp has an extremely aggressive sales department. So aggressive that it is to the point of being obnoxious.
So aggressive, that businesses that opted not to pay for advertising on Yelp, would suddenly find negative reviews and 1 star rating on their business, given to them by "anonymous" users.
Keep in mind, that these bogus bad reviews and rating is crawled by Google and posted next to their web site listing in the search engine.
Some people have also written when they didn't buy a plan, that their positive reviews disappeared on Yelp, dropping them in Yelps rankings.
It is so serious, that there is now a class action lawsuit against Yelp over their business practices.
And if you want to have Yelp remove you?
Sorry, they can't be done and they won't do it.
Although, I believe that might change if Yelp loses the class action lawsuit against them.

As a business owner, Yelp would only get 2 stars from me.
And I hope if they lose this lawsuit against them, that I will be able to opt out of there.
And I'm a highly rated and reviewed business on that site.

New age PONZI scheme
I was contacted by an "Account executive" by the name of Natalie arana who instantly babbled so much at me, i should've known at that point to end the call. Well i didn't, as a result of that, i bought into an over embellished fraudulent product that serves me no benefit whatsoever. I knew countless things were wrong when i noticed patterns of the "activity" on my account were questionable. I reached out to this young lady via e-mail and phone about my concerns regarding fraudulent ad clicks in an attempt to steal from small business's. Roughly 2 hrs from me sending her a detailed e-mail about my concerns, she finally reaches out to me, in sort of a mocking rude way. That she would have an "Account manager" reach out to me regarding my concerns. I replied simply, "but arent you an account manager as well"? She replied, Yelp for Business Owners handle specific questions regarding account activity. And that she will forward my concerns to them and that they would call me. Its been end of day and havent heard anything back regarding this. I would like to cancel service but cant even do that because they're trying to hold off until my first payment goes through. They're modern day ponzi schemers who seem to be untouchable. What entity would allow another entity to defraud hard working citizens who contribute to society and not only contribute but make it better and to help it thrive? Its pathetic and disgusting to say the least. To make matters worse i cant get my business to get off this site to save my life. I almost am interested in recreating my brand entirely to not have these people apart of my business in anyway.

Yelp is a scam
So I opened by restaurant about 3 months ago. After the first month I started to get calls from Jojo A specialized agent for Thai restaurants... He persisted on calling about every other day trying to get a hold of someone to talk about there services. I work a full time job and then go to my restaurant to help my wife after 1pm in the afternoon, So I am very busy. I finally got to talking to him and he initially told me it would be about $300 a month for advertisement. I thought to myself $300 is way to much for us rite now. He persisted on calling still every other day. So I finally talked to him and told him I would only do this if it was free. His next words were "Done" " it will be free for you to try", Oh I thought yeah I guess if its free I will give it a try. 3 days before my one month I wanted to see how my progress was on new people checking my page and getting directions. It literally was almost the same as one month before. BUT... I checked and I was just charged $428 for the first money... WTF. I called the agent that signed me up I emailed him and no response. I finally called Yelp and told them the story and Yelp for Business Owners said it was my fault that I checked the boxes... But how was I supposed to know this agent did not have the authorization to say it would be free for me to try out? The persisted on saying they could not do anything I checked the boxes.
If I can tell anyone anything is, its not worth it in the long run. Try Google or any other service out there, it will be cheaper and you will have a greater return.

Watch out for the SCAM
1. On 7/24 I received an email for $300.00 in free Yelp Adds (see attached).
2. I signed up on 7/25, when I received a phone call from a woman in Sales. (See attached welcome letter). The conversation I detailed in the original complaint.
3. You can see that I signed up for a 15/day add campaign. I did not have a budge for $450/month, but I was assured I could adjust this after my $300.00 was used up, but I should make it 450/month so I get the max results of my free $300.00
4. On 10/1 I received an email that my debit card was declined for $373.05. Yes, that would be because I wasn't supposed to be charged. My business is just starting out and I don't have any funds in there yet. I wasn't supposed to be charged.
5. I immediately wen ton the website and closed my Yelp Business account
6. On 10/4 I received another email that my card was declined.
7. On 10/8 I received an email that Yelp for Business Owners wanted to speak to me about my account.
8. I spoke to them on the phone and they said My ad was never cancelled, but they would go ahead and cancel it for me, and then I received another confirmation that it was closed. Ronni also said he would go back and review the phone call to see what I was told when I signed up. I never heard back.
9. Today, 1/23, I received an email that they are sending this to collection.

I ended up calling back and paying this bill with my credit card.
Listen carefully to what they say... they will tell you that their free $300.00 will cover everything, encourage you to sign up for things they know is beyond the 300.00 and you will get stiffed for the bill. Hang up immediately if they call you! Do not fall for the free $300.00 scam.

Also, you, as the business owner do not have the right to remove your business from their website. They will never remove it or allow you to mark it as closed or remove your contact information. Once you are on yelp, you are always on yelp.

Victim of Yelp
I received a call from Star promising me a promo of "free" yelp ad service of $1000. She promised there would not be a charge on my card from yelp for 6 months. What she failed to mention was that I would be charged an additional $540 per month. I called yelp as soon as I saw the charge and Yelp for Business Owners claimed that I was sent an email confirmation in the beginning stating that I would be charged, which I thought was covered by the $1000 credit I received. I am a small business just starting out and there is no way I would have agreed to pay for such a service had I known it would cost me so much. I was later contacted by senior accountant rep of yelp, Allison. She kept insisting that I did know what I was doing despite me telling her repeatedly that I was not informed, that I did not know that there would be a charge because I was led to believe that I was promised $1000 credit of yelp ad services, and that I never signed up to be charged $540 per month. She then proceeded to tell me that the $1000 was a credit for another service on top of the ad services that I was receiving. What? Now, I'm confused. Then they proceeded to talk about clicks, and cost per clicks, etc. Which makes me even more confused. I then asked her why I didn't receive any bills or invoices and she replied that they are a paperless company. I should have still been sent an invoice via email. I then asked her to send me the recorded conversation with Star and she said that recordings are only used for internal services and cannot be released to the public (even though it directly involves me?) Of course there is no documentation of the $1000 promotional credit that I received. She concludes the call saying that she will send a request for me to not be charged for the additional seven days I had the service for before I cancelled it at the beginning of the next month. If she had full authority like she claimed when I asked to speak with her superior why is a request necessary when she can resolve the issue herself? I was wronged and tricked by this company. They stole money from me and try to justify it with lies and sales jargon that a normal person would find hard to understand if they're not directly involved in sales and computer metrics. There is no humanity or empathy in this company. Please do your research and don't fall for the 'too good to be true' offers they throw at you like I did along with countless other victims of yelp.

Warranty Tech / Solutions
Warranty Solutions will not cover valid claims, Doing Business As (Warranty Tech). Warranty Solution will stonewall the claim process, Yelp for Business Owners will make request of the garage that are unnecessary, time consuming and Warranty Solutions are not responsive. There is an effort to not disclose executive contacts to halt disputes. This tactic is a nationwide strategy under several different company names.
My claim was filed June 12,2020, it is July 9,2020 and it has not been authorized yet. Warranty Solutions states that you can choose your favorite license mechanic, but that is not true. Warranty Solutions requires that you maintain your vehicle to manufacturers specifications, but Warranty Solutions will force you to use aftermarket parts, if that is not a double standard, I do not know what is. The manufacturers know what is best when it comes to maintaining the vehicle but have no idea what quality of replacement parts should be used, (really)?
Warranty Solution's advertising material is designed to mislead consumers!
1. Consumer can choose his mechanic
Well if the mechanic must use Warranty Solutions parts, the consumer is not actually choosing their own mechanic, because the garage you choose manufacturer might think the aftermarket part is not a quality part!
2. Consumer is entitled to up to $40.00 in rental reimbursement per day
Well the fact of the matter Warranty Solutions will maybe reimburse the actual time the vehicle is being repaired, so all the time Warranty Solutions is trying to find a way not to cover the claim the consumer is on the hook for the rental cost (I'm currently in the process for one month and counting)!
3. Warranty Solutions holds the consumers to the highest standards to maybe receive coverage
Warranty Solutions would like to provide the lowest possible part to satisfy their obligation, but you must maintain the highest standard to maybe receive coverage, (really)!
In closing, consumers need protection from these predators like Warranty Solutions, Warranty Tech etc. If the manufacturer is the standard for Warranty Solutions to consider a repair, then it only stands to reason that the manufacturer's part should be part of the solution during repair. Agencies that are design to protect consumers from predators such as Warranty Solutions consumers are hoping that you will use the strength of your organization to ensure the consumer is protected.
Sincerely,
Jerry McElroy

AVOID YELP WHATSOEVER.
In the past years I would always receive calls from yelp rep offering me to upgrade and improve my business on yelp but many times I would tell them that I would call back when I'm interested and ready. So back in July I get a call again from Yelp this time offering me a promotion about "yelp leads" and that it's free! For the first months and that I would start paying from August and onwards and rep told me that I could withdraw from the program at anytime. So joined the program but I would discover in july that I had an outstanding balance on my account so when I called to inquire about this it turns out that I'm getting charged for July but paying it in August that's "what free for the first moths means to yelp". So when I told yelp that I was told it was free and that the rep offered me this as a promo Yelp for Business Owners still told I have to pay then I told them to transfer me to the same rep who offered me the promo so I can clarify with him and they still refused to transfer me because it's a call center. So at the end I still had to pay for something that I was told it was going to be free. A lesson to learn from any corporation is when they want to grab you to join them they will appear very easy going but after you join them and they get money they would start to get tough on you. As a matter of fact when I spoke to the rep back in July who offered me the promo I asked him to at least email me so information pertaining to the promo so I can have it on paper he told me that there isn't and that I can refer to the website. Yelp is a scam and a horrible company to deal with. I recommend everyone not to deal with them.

PREDATORY SCAM - STAY AWAY!
Just like everyone else here, I agreed to the $300 free trial because that obviously meant you get $300 of free ads before paying, right? This also seemed conveyed to me when yelp called me to pitch the scam. Obviously Yelp for Business Owners aren't going out of their way to tell you how the scam really works: In actuality you get your free $300 over time while you actually pay tons. If this were an honest company their pitch would be something like "get $1 in free ads for every $10 spent", which would be much closer to what they're actually offering. But instead they very willfully deceive customers by just saying "$300 in free ads", which is a terrible mischaracterization of their actual offer that sets up customers to be blindsided.

Added to this, when you check your ad spend all you see at the top of the page is your slow progress toward your $300 credit. In much smaller font below this is the hundreds you're actually spending. So if you sign up thinking that you get $300 free to try out Yelp ads, as they lead you to believe, and then you try to monitor your progress toward the $300 so that you don't go over, you will likely be misled into thinking you haven't hit the $300 while in fact you've spent hundreds. It's a textbook con.

By the time I saw my credit card statement I'd spent nearly $1000 and they charged $750. I quickly cancelled the card and reported the charges as credit card fraud. It truly is fraud to mislead people into accruing large charges that they don't intend to accrue, while obscuring any reporting of the accrued charges. It really is shameful.

I encourage anyone affected by this company to report any charges as fraudulent and file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov/complaint) so that hopefully something can be done to hold this company accountable.

Biggest Scam company. STAY AWAY
Anyone who gives these people high reviews clearly are working for them. Jay S said it was going to be a trial period meaning he was going to give me 600 ad credit for the month. So i am thinking i am not going to get that many clicks anyway. Which is what he said as well. However that wasnt the case. The credit was just extra, i still had to pay even though he made it clear i wasnt. I called three times to talk to him, and apparently he was MIA. I tried to talk to the supervisor but apparently ( this is 100% fact what i say next) Yelp for Business Owners couldnt switch me to that division? So the air head moron on the phone was basically saying i cant get a refund becuase you signed up for that. But i wanted to explain what Jay S told me. ( also by the way they refused to give me his last name). So i told the air head i want to talk your supervisor, she refused because i think she was too dumb to press the right buttons. All she was doing was saying i cant give you refund. Also i told them Jay S helped me do what i needed to do on my end. It never once said i was going to pay and he never once said i was going to pay for the month. This is absolute ridiculous. Stay away. I am going to call my bank now and tell the BBB. Hopefully this reaches people

Big cheaters and fraudsters
Its been a case of fraud with me by yelp employee, this person called me and told me that he is giving me 900 credit dollars for this add, not informed me that I will be charged for that. He said to enter the card number for verification and I will not be charged. On my first charge, I was surprised and shocked, contacted him immediately, and reported the issue that it's been charged from my card and remove it immediately. He said he will resolve the issue but he didn't do anything, I removed add from my side but again, I was charged with 136 $. I FELT THAT I WAS CHEATED FROM YELP. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE Initially, he recorded the problem and told the issue will be resolved in a week's time, after a week I received an email from primer management. That Yelp for Business Owners will not refund the money so I called customer service again BUT the person who attended the call was very rude and told that we won't be able to refund the money, the decision is final and hung up while I was talking. I want the community to be aware of yelp tactics, if someone calls you that he is giving you free credit then please don't trust them, they are just trying to extract money from you. I am still in shock that a business like a yelp can do such things with people to make money during COVID times. Really ashamed of them. There are many more customers who are being charged for the services they are not signed up for. Please read the review before doing anything with the yelp. We can also consolidate to fight against such people who are trying to extract money from innocent people. It's a straight case of extortion. Can we file a police complaint against such unethical practices by yelp?
